Reviews of Croissant D'Or Patisserie

It might say something about me that when I think of visiting New Orleans I think of cemeteries and Croissant D'Or Patisserie.
Ever since we stayed in a hotel across the street and discovered this gem, it's been our destination for almost every breakfast in town.
The staff is always helpful and patient, even when the line is seemingly never ending. The coffee is always top-notch and delivered quickly.
The food... The food is incredible. Croissants are crispy and soft just the way they should be. All the other desserts are as delicious as they are beautiful. Try them all.
You can eat inside for some interesting people watching, or enjoy the fresh air in the courtyard and share with some cool birds (just kidding, don't feed the birds).
Any way you want to, enjoy this place every chance you get.

My girlfriends and I ate here for breakfast the last time I was in New Orleans for a weekend trip. This was one of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time. I ordered the country omelette, which comes with one of their famous croissants. I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the best croissant I've ever had. My friends and I sat in the courtyard right next to the fountain. It was super cute and relaxing. Also, the staff were very friendly and the woman at the cash register had a wonderful conversation with me while I ordered. I highly recommend going here if you're in New Orleans!!

This special Parisienne bakery is well worth the wait! Obviously, their croissants are popular and indeed dreamily buttery, flaky and filled with deliciousness. I’m not a huge bread fan but these are indescribably divine. I enjoyed a Croque Madame for breakfast with a side of potatoes seasoned with herb du Provence-fabulous! The latte was a good cup. I went home with a small assorted bag of macrons and was not disappointed! The staff is so busy but very friendly. The stained glass is beautiful as is the tiny courtyard in the back. I love this spot and next trip to NOLA will order extra to pack a picnic! Don’t miss this!!!

Heaven on earth. Such a sweetly designed, nostalgic place with so much charm. The food was exceptional: had the ratatouille omelet and the ham and cheese croissant plus the best cappuccino in the quarter. A must-go while in NOLA.

Eeeeeep! My Parisian husband and I are always on the hunt for croissants that remind us of home and this place is the first time we’ve feltttt that smooth warm buttery goodness. The butter croissant was PERFECT! Almond croissant was pretty delicious too but the chocolate croissant had a glaze we didn’t love. Also tried the vegetarian quiche which was just OK- the tart was good but the filling too liquidy mushy. Busy busy on a Sunday morning but we were able to grab a table and wait on line no problem! The inside is memorable- great decor and feels like a quick teleport to France. Great great stop on our trip to NOLA!

Pretty disappointing… very Americanized cheap quality croissant. Not very flaky, almond topping is very sparse, used pure sugar on the top, no almond filling … does not taste like something you’d expect from an actual French bakery.
Ambiance was nice and other desserts looked yummy - but if you’re looking for an authentic croissant you’re not gonna find it here.

There are probably good things on the menu here, but I’m not sure what. These folks microwave their croissants. Who does that?! They were mushy and nasty just as you would expect. Ordered a chopped salad that was very sad.
The service was great though.

I loved the architectural details of the bakery. We came in at 1 pm after lunch, so we’re too full to order any of the delicious pastries. We settled for coffees. There was no wait.

Walked into this place on a whim in January 21. Enchanting. Terrific French passtiserie. Everything was perfect, and the decor so detailed and perfect. Great service--unobtrusive, but there. Authentic courtyard was not Disneyed up, but had true patina. Just lovely, and we will return when we come back to NOLA!

Lovely little place for a quick bite. Spinach quiche had great flavor. French toast was great. Bit of a wait but we’ll worth it.
