This is my favorite spot in Nashville to get a sandwich. The quality is great and they're served up quick. They also have great smoothies and I have heard great things about their fruit tea. Very reasonably priced for the quality and a must-try for sandwich lovers like me.

This is a great place to stop in the middle of the afternoon for a quick snack when they aren’t quite so busy. Salmon on a toasted bagel with cream cheese, onion, tomato, and capers. It really hits the spot! It’s a great pick me up!

I tried just about everything on the menu, and its now hard for me to decide what I want because I want it all. They have the only coffee I crave. I'm also grateful that despite being in the heart of Sylvan Park, their prices stay reasonable.

FINALLY I found a real bagel place in Nashville! It's absolutely crazy to me that Star Bagel doesn't have more locations. This is the first place I've found that has real bagels. I cannot recommend the challah bagel enough. If you're a fan of a good egg bagel, this is a tremendous substitute. Soft, a little sweet and delicious. I had one of their breakfast sandwiches. The service was wonderful from start to finish. The staff were crazy nice and super knowledgeable. The sandwich (challah bagel, egg whites, cheese and turkey sausage) was perfect! The bagel was crispy and chewy, the perfect bagel combination. The turkey sausage was spicy and not greasy. The egg whites were cooked perfectly. What a great spot. I highly recommend starting your day here. I can't wait to go back for lunch sometime. Please open a location in Hendersonville!

Just visited Star Bagel for the first time. I was thrilled with the quality of not only my bagel, but also the selection of cream cheeses and coffee offerings. They even had a sugar-free vanilla syrup for their coffee for those watching their sugar intake like myself. Our family will definitely be back and we felt VERY safe there. Not sure what other reviewers were talking about saying the employees were not wearing masks and PPE, they definitely are. (And I have the pics to prove it! Check them out!) It will be a regular weekend breakfast spot for us in the future! I was talking to the guy making the coffees and he said they've been around 40 years, so if you're looking for a REAL DEAL LOCAL breakfast, this is it! #eatlocal

I ordered a blueberry bagel with cream cheese and a coffee. The bagel was different, not the best, but good. The coffee tasted great black. The atmosphere feels really local and Southern, which is good since they're not trying to aesthetically make you feel like you're somewhere you're not. The service was great too. Highly recommend!

Just stopped here to get a bagel and smoothies; rarely do you see a place providing the two. We got the California and added sliced turkey, on a Challah bagel...it was delicious! We also got a blueberry cheese danish and a Go Green smoothie for the road and that added a nice touch, my tastebuds were singing! Friendly service, I can truly say this is was a great choice during my travels!

Does anyone even bother to look at a review for this place? Delicious. Parking can be a little tight so you will happier if you leave the pickup at home and drive the car. Always excellent, extremely consistent, and fresh ingredients.

We got the two salmon bagel options. Chose a garlic bagel with salmon cream cheese. Also had an everything bagel with lox and cream cheese. They make it a sandwich with lettuce, tomato and capers. Grabbed 2 fruit cups and a bottle of water. $24. There was a line the entire time I was there. From entrance to exit was there about 15 minutes. Looked like drinks were pretty popular there, especially smoothies.

A staple of the neighborhood. Pizza bagels, breakfast sandwiches, lox, parfaits and salads. I've been going here for 29 years. The quality is still as good as it was back then. They have local art hung up and usually play easy new country music. Parking here suckss, the city put in a stupid sidewalk and made it really tricky unless you get lucky and are going the right way at the right time. Great place for breakfast and lunch. But it DOES get bussyyyyy on the weekends. I've stood in line for 45 minutes before and waited the same for food. But it's worth it if you've got the time. They also do call in and online to-go orders.

I grew up in NY so I’m going to say that their Bagels are just good. Maybe not fair because I don’t eat and rate southern food when I’m up in NY. Anyway fast and efficient, food selection is four stars but the food is not. Also a little pricey for what you are getting.

We thought these tasted like grocery store bagels. They weren’t terrible but were hard and didn’t have much flavor. I had an everything bagel with cream cheese and my husband had a bagel sandwich. The coffee was really good though.

I tried their lox sandwich and put it on their challah bagel, and omg, the pure delight! I've never had a lox bagel before coming here, but now it's my go to bagel sandwich! I believe they are one of the only, if not the only, place to buy a challah bagel. It's so versatile in that it can be made sweet or savory and still taste delicious. The staff are nice and customer oriented. They appear knowledgeable of the menu, and have no issue customizing customer orders.

The bagels are good. Nothing like a real NY bagel, but, tasty. I LOVED the olive and Pimento cream cheese. That could be downright addictive. Service was quick and friendly. Prices are very reasonable. I hear to grab and go, but, would come back to sir and have coffee. They have fresh juices, too. Definitely worth a try.

It does not get better than Star Bagel in Nashville. I'm a native Nashvillian, born on West End and raised all around the city. This spot has been around for most of my life, and unlike a lot of Nashville, it remains unchanged in the best way possible. The bagels are fantastic, but be sure to get there in the morning if you want your pick of the litter. I'm not the only one who loves this place, so the neighborhood favorites go fast. I'm a huge fan of Everything, Cinnamon Raison, and the Challah bagels, but all of them are fresh. They also make cream cheese in house, and their salads and dressings are incredibly fresh as well. My favorite sandwich here is the Chicken Salad Bagelwhich on an Everything bagel. Pro-tip though: If you're in for lunch, skip the coffee or the smoothie and hit the Fruit Tea. You will not regret it. From the people to the prices, I've always loved coming into Star Bagel, breakfast, lunch or for a cold brew coffee — it's always a pleasant experience. I hope they're around for a long time to come!

This place is popular for a reason they are the best! We waited in line for a good 15 minutes but the reward was well worth it! The everything bagel was coated with spice on every surface, paired with lox and cream cheese. This is where my love affair with Star began, a must stop anytime I'm in Nashville from now on.

If you love New York bagels, Star Bagles is the closest you will ever get to it. Not only the taste, but the texture, the variety, the scent and the overall pleasure of consuming NYC in B a g l e form. I was born and raised there so I guess I should know. Just try one and see for yourself.

It was so-so. We drove about 25 mins for one of our favorite meals that we cannot find in GA or FL. The bagels were really small, the Lox portion was meager, and to add insult to injury, the toaster was broken; so they only have one? All of this for $9.95? I would not come back.

The best bagels I've found in Nashville. We grew up with a New York style bagel and walking in here was a reminder of those days. The staff is great and they do a good job of moving you through the line and getting your food. The atomic pom smoothie was amazing. If you want great bagels, this is your place. Star Bagel is the best bagel place in Nashville. Hands down. My roommate and I bought a dozen bagels there per week and had no problem eating them all. Staff is super friendly. If you're going on a weekend, be prepared for a little bit of a line because everyone else knows it's good too!

Great variety of food and drinks, but parking can be a problem. The best time to go is around 2-3; no or little wait time. The staff here are extremely friendly and wide awake for 6 a.m. if you are one for breakfast. Bagels are freshly made and not hard as a hockey puck as I have had at other competitors. Never had a problem with the service, though I am sure many have complaints about wait time during lunch but if you are familiar with the area you can understand why. Well worth the wait though.

Always looking for a breakfast/brunch joint, this Sylvan Park bagel shop is a sure one to put in the rotation! They feature Drew's Brews coffee, which I love, as well as plenty of other specialty cafe drinks; my wife enjoys the Honey Bee. Great bites too. I've only tried the bagels (there are approx a dozen varieties to choose from), but they have sandwiches and salads too. The salads looked a tad disappointing as they were pre-made and kept in a refrigerated case, as opposed to made to order. That said, there is plenty to enjoy about this place, so I'm keeping the 5-star rating intact!

As a former New Yorker, this place reminds me a lot of the bagel deli style restaurants that I used to frequent in and around the city. While the bagels may not be NY style the food and coffee drinks are excellent. The parking lot is small and the seating is limited, but they do a great job of moving people along during the morning rush. Their bagel egg sandwiches are excellent and their espresso bar has some great options. They also offer delicious fresh juices.

This place is a must stop for breakfast. They were very busy when we arrived but after eating the food I knew why the crowd was so large. The Santa Fe breakfast bagel is absolutely delicious and the coffee was great too. They also did a great job of serving up orders quickly even with the long line of customers.

Great bagels! These are the real deal. I'm originally from up both north and this is the first place I've found that makes bagels that smell and taste like the real ones from up north. They are a little pricier than Panera, but much better bagels. Their menus need updating, especially since the prices are of by about 30%.

Update - January, 1922: Tried to place an order but they told me they arent "allowed" to bring orders out to the car anymore, even if I paid in advance with a card. Seems odd to have discontinued that when we're in the middle of a COVID surge. I had to cancel my order. 😟 - Update: I've been back in August and September (2021). Both times, someone DID answer the phone, took my order that way, and brought it to my car. Changing my review from one star to five. - No way to order without going inside which, unfortunately, my mobility problems make very difficult. Their app doesn't allow for what I wanted (double topping on each bagel, which would have been more expensive and for which I would have gladly paid extra), and the comments field was too short to add that, and when I tried to place my order by phone, they never answered. I called 4 times in 30 minutes in mid-morning and only got a recording every time telling me to use their app. My order would have been well over $50; I went to Bruegger's instead

We liked it. It reminded me of an Einstein bagel if you are familiar with those. My daughter removed the western omelet from hers as it was too heavy on the onion but said the bagel itself was good. The Classico smoothie with almond was not too great. I believe the banana wasn’t ripe enough. However my daughter’s green tropical smoothie was very good.

Pros: The food is always great. Good smoothies and bagel sandwiches. Lovely Sylvan Park location. Cons: It can get really busy on weekend mornings with a line through the restaurant. Also, ordering online has proven to be pointless as you still have to wait in the long line of people ordering to let them know you placed an online order. In my case they were too busy to check these online orders so no one had even seen it.

Such a cute little store conveniently located in the cute neighborhood of Sylvan park. The staff is always cheery and the bagels are always on point. Go early as this place gets very busy and can be crowded with messy kids during peak weekend hours. They make a great lox sandwich and highly recommend the fresh juice in the coolers.

Not bad, but not great. Santa Fe bagel sandwich was bland. I realized they forgot to put on the olive pimento cream cheese I asked for. It was just what was needed. That element was delicious. Unfortunately they don't put much cream cheese on the bagels.

Really enjoy this place for a quick bagel sandwich. They do a great job with their bagels and I think they have some of the best in Nashville for the price. Although lines can sometimes be long, the staff gets through the customers and orders at a pretty good pace so you are never waiting for your food very long. I saw the previous post said the place does not have WiFi, but they had WiFi the last time I brought my computer to do work there (April 2016), so maybe that is new? Have been going here for 2+ years and never had a bad experience, I would recommend this place to anyone.

They have very good bagels. Variety of bagels and cream cheese. A few pastries. Some heartier breakfast/lunch bagel sandwiches. Pretty good local coffee. Smoothies. It can get very busy and crowded. But we almost always find a seat, or you can always go across the street to the park. They also have a nice uncovered patio. Parking can be a little tricky when it's busy. Street parking is usually easiest.

It's always busy, huge line, they've got good baked goods, and sandwiches. The iced (and hot) coffees are hit or miss depending on who makes them, and of course they've got a large selection of bagels and spreads. Personally i think it's bit over priced, but what can you do?

Star Bagel is a solid find: fresh ingredients, good coffee, and a delicious honey cinnamon butter bagel and honey bee latte. It's tucked away in a cozy neighborhood with a nice walking path and park across the street. Perfect for a brunch or lunch.

The service here is great and the dirty chai with almond milk is wonderful. However, the egg tastes steamed and the bacon is like paper. A lot of local Nashville restaurants use the high quality Benton's Bacon. This place should do that too.

When bagel is in your name, the measure of the cafe starts with the quality of that boiled and baked ring of wheat. It's a good bagel that's near the top in Nashville. The real stars at Star Bagel are the customer service, speed, and the top-notch chicken salad, lox, juices and coffee.

They have many bagle varieties but limited cream cheese choices. However, you can still find something you like. They serve breakfast bagles all day and will serve their large selection of sandwiches on any of their bagles. Also, the coffee is pretty good and they have a selection of espresso drinks.

A little more on the expensive side but very worth it for everything is locally grown in organic. The food is amazing and the staff is very friendly. Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. Would definitely recommend.

Everything I've ever had here ends up being 'just ok' I really have liked it historically as a means to go somewhere Sunday morning with the family and enjoy a bagel and coffee, I don't know if I've just always had bad luck or what, but it's never really grabbed me as a great bagel location.
