Felt compelled to write a review for this lovely establishment. I had the breakfast sausage egg cheese croissant and oatmeal with fruit, both were excellent and freshly prepared. The gentleman taking my order was very courteous and make sure I got everything as ordered. High quality food at super reasonable prices, highly recommend!

We are neighbors and have ordered pies, and tried the majority of items they have available. If you're looking for homemade local food, this is the place! You can also get your Girl Scout cookies fix and she delivers in the neighborhood! Best place for breakfast, brunch, or an early dinner. And y'all GOT to try those pies!

I work in the area. Love the food. I have had breakfast and many a lunch. I plan on using them to cater a fund-raiser that I will be holding in the neighborhood this coming April.

A Chestnut Hill gem. I heard about Darryl and his shop through some neighbors and stopped by to grab lunch. Darryl was kind, hospitable, and nailed the vegetable soup. I just missed tamale season by a couple of days, but he gave me his card and told me I could put in a special request a few days early. Looking forward to cashing in that promise and trying them out!

5 star cakes, including Vegan and Gluten-free options that are really tasty. The owner Darryl is extremely nice, you can tell he cares by the attention to detail. He made a special cake for my wife’s birthday, it was great. Definitely coming back here again!

A secret gem between 1st and 2nd. It’s like going to your gramps house for breakfast or lunch. Found it by accident. Definitely coming back!! AND: His cakes, pies are marvelous for special occasions. The Banana Pudding is best I've ever purchased

Be prepared to sit outside with 1 table in the shade if you come to eat. No one in line, good took about 10 mins to make. Ordered a ham and cheese biscuit and got home with a sausage biscuit. Food was pretty average but wouldn’t go stand in the sun for it again

Have been ordering pies from this local baker long before he opened this shop, and they continue to please. The chess pie is an award winner, and the key lime pie is also amazing and reasonably priced. And the gluten free blueberry pie. Ok I haven't tasted a pie yet that wasn't amazing. We haven't tried everything on the menu yet, but just had the chili and it was delicious, and we also loved the tamales during season. (We didn't know we liked tamales until trying theirs!) Thanks for the great food and, as always, genuine neighborly service!

Lately I’ve been exploring local eateries tucked away in various parts of Nashville. I’m so glad I found Butter Eggs & Bakin! The owner is very kind and hospitable and makes the best pimento cheese! Best I’ve ever had! The chess pie is to die for! I’ll definitely be back!

Owner personifies outstanding customer service. Agree best pimento cheese I've ever had. Very thick. Vegetarian soup on Wednesdays, I got lucky and had cauliflower cheese this week. The tuna salad to die for...not sure what the secret is but its FABULOUS. The tiny chess pie....Best crust I've ever had. Only disappointment was it is strictly carryout. Looking forward to trying much more when near Nashville!!

My husband and I stumbled upon this spot while out working!! Let me tell you we are soooo glad that we decided to stop!!! The food is delicious made with love for sure and the customer service was impeccable!!! And his beautiful daughter is such a beautiful spirit!! If your in the area or not you should go check them out anyway! Everything is freshly homemade daily!!! Thanks again and like I said we will be back for sure!!

The food was really good and fresh. We got a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit sandwich, a sausage biscuit sandwich, French toast, and a tuna salad sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese. Sooo good! The owner is really nice and provides good service.
