Oh Geez! This was just what we needed after a hot Saturday stroll down Bardstown Road! HUGE flavor selection, decent mounds of freshly shaved ice and a great spot to just relax for a minute or two and take in the scenery. Three sizes - small - medium and LARGE for only $2, $4 or $7! Even get a free napkin to soak up the spillage. Up to three flavors per serving too! Cake batter anyone? Nah...we stuck with the Tigers blood, lemon-lime and pink bubblegum which was sweet, tangy and a bit bloody. Wanna ramp up the level of awesomeness - just pop across the road and pick up a mini-bar bottle of yer favorite additive. Magnificent!

This place is amazing we got a truck for my sister’s birthday party and it is amazing. Every flavor is unique and delicious. The shaved ice itself is so soft it like eating snow. 1000% recommend it’s so good.

We had just left Louisville Pride and hadn't wanted to wait in the crazy long line there for a sno-cone. We got to the car and Googled "shaved ice", and Big Mike's was our closest choice; it was clearly the right one! The portions are awesome and the Everest is ridiculously huge. I've saved their location to my favorites so we can come back the next time we're in the Louisville area! Super friendly staff, too!

We don't have these in MI. The selection of flavors is huge. What we got was both refreshing and so good. $5.00 for a medium which was pretty big to me. Maybe a little pricey but still worth a try. I'd recommend highly and I wish I could take this place home lol

Big Mike’s is THE BEST shaved ice in all of Louisville. It’s a tradition of our family now to head there after mountain bike practice or riding over at Seneca/Cherokee. Big Mike is awesome and the prices are killer. Tons of flavor and value. My son absolutely loves this place. Thank you guys for being awesome!

I love snow cones. This is by far the "best Bang for you Buck"! I would go with a Medium, it is larger than you would expect. Only downside is the lack of seating and flavors. They have some which is nice, but on a busy day, you might as well just walk and enjoy your frozen treat. They have the main flavors, but a wider variety would be nice. I had the green apple which tasted more like a lemon lime. The staff is always friendly and greats you in a nice manor.

Great customer service and delicious shaved ice!! We drove an hour to try it out and we were not disappointed. We haven’t been able to find real shaved ice with sweet cream for years and were so happy to find this place. Thank you all for the great customer service!

Big Mike's Shaved Ice is a truly a hidden gem in Louisville. I've been going to Mike's stand for years even before he moved down the road to his current location, and I have always been met with a smiling face, quick service, outrageously generous pricing, fresh flavors, and the fluffiest shaved ice money can buy. BMSI is one of those places that I always tell visitors to the city about. Mike is a one-man, ice shaving powerhouse that is always worth a visit. I'd give this place 6 stars if I could.

Was out in the Highlands and wanted to try Big Mike's Shaved Ice. I paid and asked for condensed milk (double) it was very sparingly put on. I told the lady making it I requested double (she said that was considered double) .. like 5 small lines across the snow cone. Somewhat disappointed. Just will stick to my Middletown snow cone place.

We loved it! Tiger's Blood is my favorite flavor - and my niece had grape and blue raspberry. The service was friendly and the portions were generous. The outside seating was very relaxing!
