One of my FAVORITE desserts spots. This place never disappoints bc they are consistently always good and it always hits the spot when you’re craving a refreshing dessert on a hot Vegas day. PROS -each dessert is always PERFECTLY made and presentation is on point -nice, cool AC, and clean inside -plenty of parking -My favorite: matcha latte float with vanilla soft serve!!!

If you love Matcha as well as ice cream this is your place! I found this place by accident and turns out they probably have the best Matcha powder in the city! Phenomenal service as well as very quick. The aesthetics of the place makes you feel like you are in Japan yet in Hawaii. Definitely would recommend and come back just to have premium matcha!

If you love matcha, you must come to this place!! I went with the classic ice cream of 6.29 dollars. It came in a huge size, which is good for two people. The matcha special is also highly recommended: various types of add-ons plus the matcha ice cream. There are spaces for friends gathering and sitting inside.

Status Quo

I can’t recommend this place enough if you are a fan of Japanese flavors such as matcha and hojicha. Their drinks have an amazing depth of flavor. Their soft serve ice creams in their house made waffle cone is one of my favorite items. Today I ordered a hot matcha latte, Japanese egg salad sandwich and white chocolate/matcha mixed soft serve. They can get pretty busy sometimes but the service is ways efficient and amazing. Definitely worth visiting this establishment if you are visiting from out of town or a local.

Such a cute matcha inspired restaurant, so many tasty and unique treats and drinks. I got the matcha with lemon tea. I went to eat before and this was a light, delicious and refreshing drink. I will always come back here when I visit and so happy I discovered on this trip

My first time trying Matcha Cafe Maiko was at the San Francisco location. I was so excited to find the Las Vegas store. The parfait was good however the matcha did not taste as strong and way sweeter than the SF location. The ice cream serving was also less generous than the SF location.

Matcha Cafe Maiko is a reliable chain! I just get the matcha tea (without any dairy). It is already premade, so it gets poured out quickly. The drink isn't as smooth as I would want, but the sweetness is at a good level. They pre-make the batches, so if you get towards the bottom of the pitcher, it definitely isn't as good. The consistency could improve. I went on different days and for some reason, one day had the logo on the cup...another day it was just plain. Also wish they had boba, since matcha and boba is always a good fit! Still, the spot is good and a well-known brand throughout the world. Parking is easy to find in the plaza and there is quite a bit of seating inside. Follow the adventure @shoyuthebest on IG!

An ABSOLUTELY AMAZING place for matcha or ice cream lovers. My sister and I both agreed this was our favorite place in all of Las Vegas. The ice cream was perfectly sweet and so so so refreshing. Their matcha is the best quality I’ve ever tasted and their cafe is SUPER clean, relaxing and spacious. My sister got an additional matcha soft serve just so that she could have some later. Definitely check out this place if you are in the area.

Very cute matcha desert spot 😍 They have a good range of drinks and desserts, using teas that are a bit harder to find. If I was looking for a place to work/study, I'd wish it was a bit more cozy. It wasn't very busy when we visited in the afternoon, so seating was plentiful and service fast.

So delicious that I came back twice in one day. Got the Ube/Sesame flavors. My favorite two things about the soft serve is that you can combine two flavors in your swirl and the sweetness isn’t too strong. It tastes more on the subtly sweet side which I loved. Decided to purchase the Hojicha powder based on trying the Hojicha latte at the Charlotte, NC location. Have yet to try the powder, but the drink they made with it before was amazing. It’s also lighter in caffeine content amount which is perfect for me. Can’t wait to try the other locations throughout the U.S.

Went to the ramen store and found this place as it’s in the same plaza. The interior is pretty cute and drink was soo good. I ordered the Kokuto Matcha Kuromitsu Kinako Float and it was one of the best matcha drinks I’ve ever had. Will definitely be back to try other drinks.

I really, really wish they had a cafe like this in Washington. The main thing I miss about Vegas is the food. There are so many awesome and diverse cafes here. I loved this place because I'm a huge matcha drinker. I also love the variety on the menu. I will be back soon to try out the dessert menu.

Its a cloudy and breezy day in the afternoon .But its a good time to get yourself a warm frothy Hojicha Latte and a delicious cold Maiko Special at the same time. Life is suppose to be like this everyday, enjoying little wonderful things in life. The place was cozy and quiet with only a couple of people bringing their laptop because they have free wifi! And a couple sitting in the corner and me alone in the center enjoying my treats all to myself and reading The Tales of Beedle The Bard.

Being Honest

Used here for a business meeting. It looked fun, and all the customers are unique and fashionable. (Love people watching) since it’s not the choice I made to go there, unfortunately I did not have anything to order, if you are on KETO(no carbs, no sugar). I am also avoiding Caffein which is in Matcha, there was literary nothing to order for me. It looked all yummy tho, so if you love sweets and match, you definitely should come and try them out. I hope they gonna add something like herb tea/sugar substituted sweets (easy go make just FYI) etc etc just because it’s becoming little norm to avoid sugar nowadays. It’s a self service cafe. Would I come back? If they make sugar free ice cream…! :)

The place is nice and small, so definitely plan out if you want to come with larger groups. I had an order egg sandwich and soft serve matcha ice cream, with cone. The egg sandwich was pretty standard, but I would've wanted it to be a little more sweet seasoning. The matcha ice cream was good, but be warned that you kind of have to like matcha to enjoy it. I like matcha tea, usually slightly sweetened, and it has a particular taste and bitterness. The ice cream wasn't really sweet at all, which I still enjoyed, but I can see others being thrown off by lack of sugar, so try a sample if you can. I have to try the other menu items when I return.

Really great Matcha! Friendly staff, clean environment, sanitation pumps at entrance of Cafe, smells so good- like an ice cream shoppe. There's even a designated area for taking pictures for your social media platforms. Smoothies, ice creams and various drinks to choose from. Very nice experience.

One of my favorite cafes to go to in Vegas. If you love authentic matcha or want to try it, this is the place for you! I've always been treated nicely and properly accommodated if anything went wrong with my orders. There is wifi, look for their wifi board with the name and password. There is a long table that has outlets and USB ports for anyone needing to charge their electronics. Their bathrooms are spacious and clean. They have the cutest decorations that fit the season. Some walls of which are great backgrounds for photos with ur friends and family. If you are a local I would readily recommend you sign up for their rewards. It's free and you can build points for free preselected items. I would give a fair warning that it can get really busy due to its popularity. Double check how busy they are on google before you go. The picture attached is my go to order.

I went on an early Friday evening to avoid the crowd, in fact I went here before I even went to dinner. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I know this is the Matcha Cafe Maiko and I have only had matcha once or twice but I haven't had black sesame soft serve before so I chose that. Business was just starting to pick up but it was a very short wait, as the staff was very efficient. I normally am a cup guy for my ice cream as it isn't as messy but this time I went with the cone. I immediately realized why I don't normally do cones as I sat down and attempted to take a photo. My ice cream promptly plopped onto the table. I immediately scoped it back into the cone but it was no longer photo worthy. The black sesame tasted like... sesame, who would have thought? Actually it was very good and would be my go to choice but I still have to try the ube and matcha flavors. The cone was very good as well. I now know of a new thing to try which is a cone, upside down in a cup. Best of both worlds, right? We’ll see. I will definitely be back not just for the soft serve, but to try a number of other things that caught my eye.

Great matcha! Definitely tastes like the real deal, no cheap imitations here. Only in town a few days, this was by one of our usual restaurants and we will be back for both! Looking forward to it. Staff was also very pleasant and friendly. Good vibe and atmosphere.

The atmosphere in this place is so pleasant! I brought my wife and kids here for desert after eating dinner next door. The ice cream was incredible and my family really enjoyed the matcha. The thing that stood out the most was probably their manager. He was on-site supervising in a suit and without a beat went outside and started cleaning the windows. You know you’re in a successful and caring business when the manager is outside cleaning windows in a suit. We will be coming back for sure!

In A Nutshell: -Matcha Cafe Maiko is a chain that sources it's matcha from Uji, Japan. -We are lucky to have a store in Vegas. -Here you'll find all things matcha + more such as their spicier tea called hojicha. -Their soft serve matcha is their #1 most popular item at this location. -It's a very good soft serve, perfect for the hot summers. -I wasn't too fond of their cream puff, I would pass on that. Overall, this is another fantastic eatery in a plaza full of delicious eateries.

This is a cute spot to grab some dessert if you are craving matcha. My gf and I tried the matcha soft serve special with a blend of matcha and vanilla, but we thought it was just okay. Next time maybe we will try the tea or cold drink. Regardless, it's nice and bright and the staff are friendly - certainly an easy and cute place to come hang.

Tasty Matcha ice cream cones! Kona coffee is really nice as well. The cafe has a very nice (eccentric even?) Japanese/Hawaiian theme/ambience to it. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, although there may be a little bit of a wait if it’s busy.

Cafe Maiko is my new, favorite dessert spot. There's green tea ice cream and then there's matcha ice cream - Cafe Maiko uses authentic matcha in their menu items and it's easy to taste the difference. My wife and I always order the Matcha Shaved Ice. On a bed of matcha shaved ice, comes a serving of matcha soft serve with a side of adzuki beans, shiratama mochi, and kuri (chestnut). The adzuki is perfectly sweetened, the mochi is soft and chewy, and the kuri is just right; everything complements the other ingredients. *Side note: I owned two Cold Stone Creamery franchises and an independent homemade ice cream shop called Mixers Ice Cream Lounge in Las Vegas for 15 years. I'm such a believer in Cafe Maiko's product that I'm looking to open a location. Unfortunately, only one owner per city so we'll be looking outside of Vegas.

Be careful, this thing is pricey and the ice cream scoop falls off the platform of shaved ice as you eat it. The plastic cup also falls over all together if you don’t hold it upright the entire time. So you may lose your $8 quickly. I luckily caught the whole thing in my hand and put it back together.

Great atmosphere and drinks! The matcha they serve really tastes authentic (I've been to Japan so I know what authentic matcha tastes like). Great matcha! Probably the best in town! I come here a lot and order all sorts of stuff from parfaits to lattes. Totally recommend this place. I recently ordered a matcha latte through Uber eats from this place for my friend’s birthday and asked for a happy birthday or a label written out saying happy birthday. Matcha Maiko staff did exactly that and it came out so perfect! Thank you guys so much! My friend was so surprised and happy.

One of my favorite places to get matcha in town. Unlike a lot of places that will serve matcha they are actually using a decent grade unlike the bottom of the barrel quality that they use at a lot of boba places. They have a large selection of different matcha drinks and desserts. I always recommend an iced matcha and a matcha soft serve but if you want to switch it up my friend tends to get a nice matcha float with Hojicha soft serve. Even when busy this place will get you your order quick and the atmosphere is nice and relaxing.

It's great that this Cafe is here, but it's kind of tucked away in Chinatown. They have the same Cafe in San Francisco Japan Town and it's great here too! The hojicha latte float with matcha soft serve is really good. The hojicha tea flavor is not watered down what so ever and the soft serve had a nice tea flavor as well. The staff here is friendly and this place is very clean. Seems like a great place to hang out or even study as they offer free WiFi too.

Flavor is great but sad this is the only location in Vegas because their portions are so small compared to others. Check the photos people post for this location(Especially the ice cream and floats) compared to almost any other location in the country and you will see every single other location serves AT LEAST 1.5x if not double the amount this one does, with very similar prices, some even cheaper. Flavor is still very good credit where credit is due but they really do skimp here.

Had a great time stopping at Matcha cafe Maiko! The staff was super friendly and answered all of our questions on what everything was. The snow ice was delicious, though very large! We could have definitely shared it! The main community table has plugs and WiFi was available, so there is a very nice feel of just relaxing and enjoying an afternoon :)

Quality and worth the amount you paid for it and good customer service. They’ve got different variations on how you want to have matcha or green tea 🍵 Maiko special is one of my fave here in matcha cafe maiko. The bomb!!!! And every time I visit here can’t complain and glad they always maintain the cleanliness of the surroundings from their kitchen, dining area and restroom. Keep it up 👍👍👍

SO GOOD! This place serves matcha that is comparable to cafes that I've visited in Tokyo. They have a Japanese/Hawaiian vibe inside and they are always so nice. During the height of COVID, they took every precaution and made me feel safe. I always get the Maiko Special, it's green tea ice cream (or vanilla) topped with a chestnut and two mochi balls, underneath is green tea cake, sweet red beans, jelly cubes with syrup, and corn flakes. They pack all this deliciousness in a cup. I always stop by whenever I'm in the area.

Mmm the matcha and white chocolate soft serve is just amazing. And the smell of the waffle cones when you walk in is fabulous. The nice part about the waffle cones that they make is that they are not too sweet, is the perfect level to match the soft serve. The service is fast and friendly and the menu is HUGE. Will take many more visits to try new items, can’t wait to go back! A must try.

The soft serve cones are huge and come in flavors like vanilla, matcha, ube, and sesame. I had a black sesame soft serve and followed it up with a yuzu cream frappe. The frappes here stand out as they are more delicately flavored and less sweet than American desserts. Will be coming here often!

the ice cream is good but there is never anywhere to sit because there are people drawing with colored pencils like it is a library. They also have tiny bags for the gelato, but no bags for anything else, makes it hard to order anything other than a single drink, since there are no seats and you will have to bring it back to your car.

On a road trip from Salt Lake City to LA and back, we stopped here as our big rest stop both times! The soft serve was the perfect treat and the matcha latte was an amazing pick-me-up for the rest of the drive. I appreciated that the latte was not too sweet by default; I did not have to request less sugar. The place itself was very clean, as well as the bathrooms. I love this place and would go often if it was nearby!

Hmm if you love matcha, check this place out! I've tried the matcha soft serve, ube soft serve, matcha shaved ice, and the matcha crepe cake. All 10/10. It's a bit pricey but definitely worth it! Give it a shot if you're a matcha fan. The inside is a great place to hang out with some friends, and the staff members stay behind the counter the entire time but are willing to answer any questions you have!

I sometimes crave this place. The Ice cream is so good and while the soft serv flavours are limited, the product is outstanding. The black sesame has a peanut butter like quality to it Which is very rich and satisfying and could be a good option for somebody with an actual peanut allergy. The matcha green tea flavour is so balanced and gives you that grassiness with a creamy sweetness that is downright craveable. I'm unfamiliar with tofu flavoured ice cream and that's because it's never been a part of my culture so I would hate to Say anything disparaging about it since I don't really have much to compare it to . For me I will just say that I didn't enjoy the flavour because it was a little too tangy and not what I was expecting

First time trying this place. I was very excited about the matcha and black sesame flavors. Had both in the shaved ice option. Hubby got the yuzu creme frappe. It was kind of just ok? The flavors weren’t as strong as I would have liked. Kind of one note and the soft serve itself wasn’t as creamy as I would have liked. A little bit disappointed. I’ll try it one more time and make up my mind about it.

We stopped by on a hot sunny day and it was a wonderful treat. The Matcha is of high quality and very smooth. We tried the Maiko special - an assortment of dessert (green tea cake, red bean, jelly and corn flakes) topped with your choice of soft serve (matcha green tea or vanilla). This was an absolute treat. Also shared a Maiko cheese cup which was a latte with cheese in the froth. The flavours are well balanced and the quality of the green tea definitely comes through. The waffle cones are baked daily on sight and are very tasty. The staff is great - very friendly and helped explain the menu to us and even gave our little one a mini cone so she wouldn't have to share with mommy and daddy! The best place to get a quality taste of Matcha. They have the best playlist on repeat that brings me back to my home. The mix soft serve of matcha and vanilla is the perfect balance of sweetness. The soft serve literally has a piece of matcha cake at the bottom of the cone. You can personalize your item to your liking as well. The price is absolutely worth the quality and quantity. Our favorite is also a matcha frappe with twist soft serve of matcha and vanilla on the top. Plus don’t forget to grab a to-go matcha tub or side of little cakes.

Matcha Cafe Maiko always has a consistently awesome flavor. I've tried about 5 of their different variations (plenty more to go) and they have all been great. I would recommend this place to anyone. Fantastic! My favorite is the matcha float with twist ice cream (sweet cream and matcha soft serve). Best quality matcha I have ever had. I love the green tea soft serve ice cream at this place. I usually don’t like soft serve since it has a low fat content, but this one is just light and refreshing and has a pleasant milky base. The green tea flavor is complex and slightly bitter. I love desserts that aren’t too sweet and this soft serve is all of that. My only gripe is a cup of this stuff costs 6$, which I think is unreasonably expensive. I will update if I try anything else here.

I have had matcha all over the place but this is the REAL DEAL. I didn't know what I was missing until I went to matcha maiko. This matcha is so strong and smooth tasting! I have more energy after drinking this matcha than coffee or Red Bull. I recommend the matcha green tea ice cream with the matcha green tea over it. I now compare every matcha I try to this place as it is the best.

Not bad if you like matcha tea. Just got the mix ice cream in a cup, shoulda got the cone, I think they give more ice cream in the cone. the atmosphere was kinda chill, lots of seats and USB chargers on the bar seating. And if you go on a Saturday night, be prepared to hunt for parking because the other shops in that area are really busy. I'd give it a go again.

Been here a few times already and every time has been great. Fave so far is the matcha swirl on a cone. The swirl is a nice balance, otherwise the straight matcha is kind of too overpowering in my opinion. The cone is also really good. Crispy but also soft at the same time if that's even possible. Not too sweet and doesn't have an overpowering flavor over the swirl. The mochi is also really good. Always soft.

My girlfriend and I came here after dinner tonight before the storm hit! I had never been here before despite my GF raving about this place to me earlier in June. I'm not going to lie, I'm not the biggest matcha/green tea fan in the world so I was a little hesitant coming here. Lucky for me, I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was great as the space was simple and designed well while the people (a lot of them mind you) all seemed to be enjoying themselves. I ended up ordering off of the Matcha Lover Top 5 list and went with a Hojicha Latte. To be honest, I never thought I'd like a drink from here at all but I guess I hit the jackpot with my choice. It was never too strong or overwhelming and it tasted good from beginning to end. The customer service was great all around. Now, I can say this with certainty because I've never seen a place lose it's power (the storm knocked out the power for the surrounding streets) and have the customers still get their orders and hang out/be happy as if this was something normal. I was very impressed. All in all, I am happy to have found another go-to spot here in Vegas for my friends and me! P.S. I absolutely will be back! I have to try the soft serve matcha next time!

This place is really good. We always found something to eat. One of the few places where you can find matcha soft serve. I always eat that or one of the cups with fruits and ice. You should come here whenever you feel like anything matcha. This is also an interesting strip mall with interesting food options!

One of the best desserts that I have ever had! We were in Vegas for less than 24 hours and we still fit in 2 trips to Matcha Cafe Maiko in that time. We took some family that doesn't even really like tea and they also loved it! The matcha ice cream had the perfect amount of flavor without being too sweet. They also make homeade mochi balls every day as a topping and those were so perfect and amazing (and we eat a lot of mochi). I'm already wishing that I was back in Vegas just for another hojicha float. The people working there were also so friendly and helpful and helped us to maneuver the menu. Go to Matcha Cafe Maiko! It is so amazing!

They have the best matcha soft serve — I went with a family friend who lives in the area and swore it was delicious. I don’t like matcha too much so I was skeptical at first but it turns out I don’t like cheap quality matcha hahaha. Their matcha is delicious and I make sure to go there whenever I’m in the spring mountain area. Highly recommend. I like to get the vanilla and matcha swirl combo because it makes it creamier.

I must be missing something based on the raving reviews. I ordered Maiko Special - Matcha and was a bit disappointed. At almost $9 the dessert left much to be desired. It had strange ingredient combination: matcha ice cream, cornflakes, jelly, some bean structure... I don't know... Besides ice cream, I can't say I enjoyed the dessert much. The atmosphere, on the other hand, is wonderful. Seating ranges from communal area consisting of high top table and bar stools and traditional tables with chairs. I liked that each area had a USB connection and an outlet to plug your device, a very useful feature! Free WiFi, very clean bathrooms. I would give this place another shot, but try something else.

Might be an average (3.5?) green tea shop you'd find in supermarkets. That is, if you're in Tokyo. Here in US? As good as it gets, this side of the pond. Tips: ask for half sweet or quarter when applicable. Savor the matcha. 4.5, maybe 5 stars (quite dependent on who makes your drink.)

I was staying near this location at an Air BnB for CES. I looked up foodie cuisine and this popped up. I like matcha so I decided to give it a try. One of the best decisions I've ever made. The lady behind the counter was so friendly, she greeted us right when we walked in and offered multiple samples. I had the matcha soft serve and a latte, both were the best matcha I have ever had and both had a good kick to them in caffeine. I loved this place and will always return when I am in the area.

I had the Matcha Kuromitso Kinako Float, nuttier flavor compared to normal matcha. It was an iced tea with matcha ice cream on top. Good, I would've liked it with a bit less ice, or the option of ordering a larger size so I could've enjoyed more tea.

When I found out that there was a new one going to open up in Las Vegas, I was so excited since I've been meaning to try the one in San Francisco for a long time. I've visited one in Portland and this one was great too! My husband and I shared the Special Maiko parfait and tuna sandwich. We enjoyed the tanginess of the tuna sandwich and the different textures in the parfait. I'd definitely return and highly recommend a visit!
