Reviews of Amelia's Fletcher Place
The Elevator and Airplane Finder
We ordered breakfast from Amelia’s recently to see if their breakfast sandwiches were worth the hype they get.
I got the sausage sandwich and let me tell ya, that thing was INSANE! The amount of egg that they put on it is crazy! The sandwich overall was awesome. I also got a cinnamon roll on the side which was also incredible!
This was definitely a great experience. I’ll easily try their breakfast sandwich again when I can.

One of the best bakeries in indy!
My favorite are croissants, pecan cookies, cinnamon rolls, semolina loaf, also this apple brioche tart is amazing. Kind of prefer their dessert more than savory pastries.. I recommend going there as early as u can coz many options will be sold out in the afternoon.

This shop was very cute! I enjoyed the selections of products along with the food I got. I got a half loaf and it seemed like it still went bad quickly. The brownie I got was very delicious; great blend of salty meets sweet chocolate. The person there was nice and told us about the special along with some conversation! Great place, will be fun to come back.
Christina Hrubey
Love their online ordering and curbside pickup. Super helpful for disabled folks or those who are neurodivergent. Products are delicious and their grocery and bulk items are accessible. Favorites include the laminated cinnamon buns, savory city loaf, kouign amann, morning buns, and capicolo twists.

I discovered Amelia’s on my birthday weekend when I wanted to get a few things that I love from France as I am an avid Francophile and French teacher. I wasn’t disappointed with the baguette and other items I got.
Yesterday, I returned for the second time for more and earlier this time for a stronger selection of items. I am currently eating the pain au chocolat (chocolate croissant) and I can say it is taking me to France. As they say in one of my favorite movies, “The Hundred-Foot Journey,” “Food is memories.”
Great job! I will be back.

We've been looking for a place just like Amelia's!!! We live in KCMO and have yet to find a bakery that does what she does!! Everything that we got there was amazing! The bread, the pizza croissant, the cinnamon roll croissant and chocolate croissant! Simply delicious! The bread is the best bread that I have ever had! I SO wish I could get all item's shipped!! I'm so sad! But glad to have experienced it!
Tiffany
Wonderful chocolate chip cookies here! Great service, easy parking. I bought an apple leek scone that was really unique and surprising. Would definitely come here again to try more pastries.

Wow their bread and pastries are amazingly delicious!
I got a croissant, a pain au Chocolat, a spinach croissant, quign aman and a half pain de Mie , country loaf.
Everything is so good and tasty. And price is so reasonable.
Wish they open their branch in Downtown Chicago.
Staffs were very friendly and nice, too.

Absolutely amazing bakery. Super easy curbside pickup in their side alley. The bread smells and tastes incredible. Not pictured cinnamon roll croissant because I ate it immediately and couldn't put it down, so delicious. Highly recommend for authentic artisan bread lovers, and everyone else.
Edited to add my cats are obsessed with the oversized paper bag. Everyone is happy.

Wonderful little artisanal bakery — L.O.V.E. the Ribbon Loaf which is a small 3x5-ish inch soft flaky croissant-like sourdough loaf with a cranberry compote center, sheer lemony icing glaze, & garnished with dried cranberries & a thyme sprig — a quintessential holiday culinary masterpiece that tastes as divine as it looks!! Perfect for brunch (everyone wanted their own loaf!) or to wrap up for holiday gift-giving. The Morning Bun is also delicious – this one is more of a rustic creation with a schmear of thick icing on the top and a lemony sticky bun base. Amelia’s Virginia Street location is my absolute favorite – tiny, but surprisingly robust in specialty food offerings. It reminds me of the quaint specialty stores of the 80s, like Barefoot Contessa and others, where one can find curated delicacies for serving and cooking. This is an absolute win for Indianapolis & I’m so glad I found you – YAY!! p.s. the customer service is phenomenal, as well - an all-around home run!!

This place doesn't need my review. It's amazing. The bread and pastry are better than we deserve. This place will be one of the reasons I cry whenever we move from this neighborhood.
Mlanders21
Visiting from Atlanta, this is some of the best bread I've ever had. TSA thought it was odd I had a whole loaf stuffed into my carry on but I wasn't leaving Indianapolis without it.

Time to update this review with a little more depth. Connected to Bluebeard, this gem produces some of the finest breads and treats in all of Indy...rivaled only by the Blue Oven Bakery in Cincinnati.
Baguettes, specialty loaves, Cranberry-Walnut bread, croissants, oatmeal pecan cookies, panforte (Christmas time), and so much more. Everything is good...everything. My only wish is that they had a location up north in Carmel.
It's a little on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for. Get whole loaves, half loaves, and sliced/unsliced. They do have a small selection of meats, cheeses, and Italian good in the store as well. If they sold wine it could be a one stop shop for a nice outing in the park.
Olivia
This is a small and lovely bakery. My friends and I are hooked on their brownies. They always have samples in case you want to try something before buying. And don't even get me started on their bread 🍞. And they are very professional, sweet, and caring. They actually take time to tell you all the ingredients they used to bake something and the health benefits of some of the ingredients ( if you are into making healthy choices).
sharanya chandran
Regular customer of Amelia’s breads and pastries. There have really good sourdough breads and great pastries. They are so good that they sell out really quick. They also have some local produce and wine. Selection of sauces. Great customer service.
George L
Terrific bakery! Croissant was near perfect - flaky and crisp on the outside, with soft layers on the inside. The chocolate chip cookie was thick and chewy. We tried the cranberry walnut bread: crisp on the outside, airy and a little bit chewy on the inside.
Rachel S
Very tasty bread and pastries as well as local groceries. Really enjoyed the chocolate croissant, bread, zucchini pastry, and the shortbread and baguette were fine also. I also love that they are open later in the day. The staff is always kind and have good recommendations!
Carla Knapp
From their breads to the pastries, everything I’ve ever tried has been delicious. The high-quality ingredients and by-hand methods come through in the incredible flavors. You’ll find Amelia’s at several area farmers markets, but I still prefer going to the bakery where the have a better variety. Plus, you can have your breads sliced in store and even purchase half loaves, which is great if (like me) you want to try multiple flavors without worrying that they’ll go stale before you can eat them. Along with the breads, I love their sweets just as much. My favorites are the shortbread and chocolate chip cookies, but you truly can’t go wrong here.
Michelle Beer
Such a gem! Vegan breakfast cookie is to die for. Brownie is scrumptious, and the biscuts...........no words for how fluffy and tasty they are. The staff was so welcoming and friendly. Were from St. Lous and makes me want to move here just to be ble to come here every day. And best iced coffee in town, check it out if you've never been.
Shari Moon
The best croissants you've ever tasted! Crispy layers outside, tender, buttery inside. The cookies are to die for. The chocolate GF buckwheat cookie is tge best cookie I've ever eaten.
Emily Fleischer
Pastries are flaky, buttery, beautiful, with delicate flavorings and wonderful crunch on the outside and tender bite on the inside. Savory City bread and baguette are both amazing. Pictured are the plum cake and croissant cinnamon roll.
Richard Blanke
The only decent artisan bread I have found in Indy! Handmade sourdough, focaccia, croissant etc. Great quality and variety!
Kizra plays
It's a lovely little pastry shop that also sells ice cream! Their cookies are also definitely worth trying.
Tess Bellamy
I love and adore Amelia's! I'm a frequent diner at Bluebeard and visit Amelia's several times a month for bread, habanero honey, dips, and what I lovingly refer to as "mystery items" (baked goods that seem to change frequently). I always find something delicious to try. Most recently, I ate a ginger sesame ribbon and it was heavenly. It was like a cross between a croissant and a soft/flaky bun, with icing and layers. I usually get a semolina loaf from them. I use a bread bag and keep it in my fridge-it lasts about two weeks this way. I also love the HOT Zaatar mix they have there, I use it to make homemade labneh, sauces, and dips. Their habanero honey is delicious in a variety of items as well! Amelia's is a fountain square staple and always worth a visit.
Halle Choi
I had a really incredible savory danish here I think the filling was some type of Carmelized onion and white bean~ sooooo good!
Loving Life
this place baking is some of the best in Indianapolis. The flavors they produce are things I have never experienced before
Devi
Amelia’s is a gem. The pastries and croissants are extremely tasty! Genuinely comparable to what you would have in Paris! Every time I step in, I like to try something I haven’t before.
They also have international grocery item’s - particularly Asian. They have Kewpie Mayo (the best Mayo) available here!
Emily Soptick
Amelia’s has the best bread! My husband and I try to stop in whenever we’re passing through Indy.
Kaylee Jacobs
My favorite hidden gem! The bread selection is incredible and it’s all made with simple ingredients. With that said, make sure you eat the bread within a reasonable time (or freeze it) since there aren’t any preservatives in it, unlike traditional store-bought bread. This has never been an issue for us since we eat it so fast! I highly HIGHLY recommend the focaccia and the city loaves. Be sure to go earlier in the day because they do sell out of some things. My only complaint is that normal “grocery store” breads are completely ruined for me now; they’ll never be as good as Amelia’s!
Lisa Shelton
Tried a strawberry lemon curd kouign today. It sat in the box for five hours before I had a chance to eat it. After all those hours it still had a light flaky exterior with a lovely crunch as you bite into it revealing a lovely soft inside. The curd was a delightful mix of strawberry and lemon flavor. I also tried a ham and cheese scone which was lovely as well. The blueberry lemon scone needed a stronger lemon flavor for my personal taste but I do enjoy strong flavors. I'm positive if you try Amelia's bakery you will he pleased.
chiaros69
Amelia's Bread has almost always furnished very good bread. So it is regrettable that on at least two occasions now when I got their focaccia bread it was dry, Dry, DRY. In fact, the last one I got a couple of days ago tasted STALE.
For shame.
The only reason I am giving 3 stars is because their other stuff that I have got from them have been good stuff.
Zero Jive
The bread! Amelia's is a fabulous joint with a good selection of specialty foods. Everytime I go to Indy, I come home with 3-5 loaves and some other goodies. Go for a light lunch, you should not be disappointed.

Delicious 😋 baked bread and pastries 🍰. Welcoming staff. Highly recommend 👌 …
Tom Foltz
Great selection and super cookies. Ginger cinnamon is a must try n buy.
Matthew Koskela
Amelia's is an amazing little bakery! I love that you can take a whole loaf of bread or have them slice it right in the shop for you. I always pick up a couple of cookies whenever I buy bread--those cookies are huge!
Stop by for a sample if you're walking down Virginia Ave!

We’ve been lucky enough to live right next to two amazing bakeries in our life. The first, Standard Baking in Portland. And now, Amelia’s in Indy.
Amelia’s is a top notch bakery with amazing breads, pastries, and cookies (the chocolate chip might be my favorite in the world). They also have an awesome grocery service and have adapted to this tough year with online ordering and curbside pickup which has been nearly a twice a week mainstay in our house. Thanks for all you do. Keep up the awesome work!
AmeriLux LimoINC (Sevdo)
One of the best bakery I've eaten.
Try their double baked almond croissants. They also sell amazing locally made brie cheese and cronut(croissant in the shape of donut). I would highly recommend visiting this wonderful bakery. You will not leave disappointed.
Also I like the area with all the little restaurants and shops.
Diana Erkul
Very fresh, natural and delicious buns! Great texture. Holds together!
Definitely worth the stop! You just can't get bread items like this at the grocery store. Life goes by quickly. Eat the good bread.
Sarah W
Amazing bakery! I've never been disappointed by anything I've tried here! The bread, pastries, and cookies are all delightful! Truly feels like you're eating from a bakery in Europe. They also have a nice assortment of grocery items, including local produce.
Joshua
Amelia’s has become a real staple for this Indy newby, I probably make it there every other week and love their pastries and breads. They’ve had an online ordering system and pick up spot as well which makes it super easy to navigate these pandemic times. Highly recommend.
Tony Sahm
I am not sure how you describe this place to do it justice in writing. The smell of fresh bread immediately took me back my youth and walking in to the bakery with my mom. We would buy fresh bread and a cheeseburger from the cafe in back. No cafe in the back of Amelia's, but plenty of other items to fill the pantry. Plus a bounty of baked bread and other bakery items. Just go and enjoy.
SuperFeline1 Feline1
I'm still enjoying my oatmeal pecan cookie! I got two because Monday is my birthday. There were 2 girls and a young man. They were friendly, attentive and a little bit sassy...made my day! Everything was delightful and I am turning 30...again😜 …
Mel H
Amelia's is a little oasis of bread heaven. It's our family's new weekend stop to get bread for the week, grab a little breakfast, and indulge in some of their delicious delicacies. It's a happy place.
Adam Johnson
I popped into this place having never been and the people behind the counter were so welcoming and nice to me - thanks staff ( if you’re reading ☺️ )!
I got a butter croissant which was heavily. So flaky and tender - pull it apart to see all the layers of butter and dough that have been lovingly folded together to make the most perfect pastry.
Also tried their brownie, which was a inky-black square of slightly bitter, salty-sweet goodness.
This place is now my favorite bakery, and i’ll be returning soon to sample their other creations ( bagels looked good! ).
Matt Lievertz
Amelia's is incredible. Easily my favorite bakery. The ginger-molasses cookies are my favorite cookie in the world. The semolina loaf and the savory city loaf are the kind of bread you like more than whatever you put on it. This place actually does good croissant and pastry.
Liz Owen
Found this place on Google when we were looking for a good place to buy some bread! It was right off the highway which was convenient. The staff was friendly, the coffee is good and local, and the chocolate croissant was insanely flakey and delicious. Can't wait to try the sourdough bread! Definitely check out this neighborhood
Sara Lowe
Fantastic bakery. Indy is lucky to have them. Their semolina bread is good for breakfast, a sandwich, and/or breakfast for dinner. Your entire day can be nothing but Amelia’s!
Rezegn
They have nailed that chocolate croissant, if you coming here for the first time definitely get the chocolate croissant m, you cannot miss out on it if its not available order the next day you got to get the chocolate croissant. First time getting bread from here too. I just tried the chocolate gelato too and that is also a must but it is pretty big so you should probably share, sharing would be best.

Update 07-06-2021
Folks here gave me a box of day-old chocolate buckwheat cookies since a few of the staff at UIndy are gluten-free for health reasons.
Not all heroes wear capes.
Update 02-19-2021
Been going here for a morning snack after my coffee at Calvin Fletcher's. My quality of life has vastly increased.
The bear claw is amazing.
Picked up a pizza today. This is unreal good.
++++++++
The one person to give Amelia's four stars needs to have their head examined.
Madlyn Lane
I purchased whole wheat bread and at the last moment some produce. All items look good and taste good - the apples were so good I had to write a review. I came for the bread but I will buy more produce when I return:). Thanks for the excellent, safe service during COVID.
Edgar Petras
Phenomenal bread, friendly people. They'll even hook you up with some starter if you want to try your hand at baking your own sourdough. I do bake my own, with some frequency, but still get Amelia's regularly. It can't be beat.
Maria Glodek
Excellent bakery with nice selection of breakfast pastries
Leafy Sensation
As a fellow pastry chef, I'm telling you, they are very good. Kind of picky about bakeries, but they've never disappointed. Croissants, chocolate buckwheat cookies, and ham and cheese scones are my favorites.
m N
Phenomenal bakery items and very kind and helpful staff. We live out of state and today was our first visit. Let's just say, we would make the trek back just for the croissant and the kouign amaan. Oh man, what a treat!!
Julie LaBoda
What a find! Absolutely delicious baguettes and pastries! Pastry as thin and crispy as we’ve had in France. Seriously. DELICIOUS. Our daughter just moved to Indy so we’ll go back to see her, but I’m going back for Amelia’s too! ♥️
Simon Iden
Phenomenal croissants and breads! I’m still in awe.
Nicole R
Delicious! Freshly baked and high quality bread and pastries.
Laura Woods
Fabulous! Flaky cinnamon roll best ever and I mean, lifetime e v e r ! Dark Chocolate Cherry Scone and bacon biscuit also delicious. Bought half loaf of cranberry walnut and after tasting it regretted not buying a whole loaf (granted we were starting a vacation...). Hours are extensive so no reason not to try them out. Items about $4 per. We ate everything before I thought to grab photos so just go and see for yourself.
Tim Tsai
City loaf: Incredible. Wonderful crusty bread with a heavenly chew and excellent flavors, definitely will be getting more than half a loaf next time! Destroyed it in less than 24 hours making fantastic sandwiches. They've got a bread slicing machine so they can conveniently get that prepped for you in a jiffy!
Also got a ham and cheese croissant kinda thing. Bit into it and went weak at the knees. Incredibly buttery, flaky, savory goodness. The best I have ever had. I'm glad my eye caught this one. Not many foods have made me react like this.
Got a fenugreek and chive (I think) biscuit and it was also heavenly. Rich, buttery, soft yet hefty, and full of wonderful flavors. She's nailed this one too. This is good enough to spotlight any breakfast but I'm afraid that if I used this to make a breakfast sandwich, I'd be ruined forever as nothing could match up to this. With great power comes great responsibility, and my taste buds might not be able to handle flavors of this magnitude!
Also got a chocolate croissant, and it's also top notch! Heads and shoulders above other mediocre offerings from other places for sure.
But yes, for fantastic bread and phenomenal pastries and such, I look forward to frequenting Amelia's and y'all should too!
Mallory Chamberlin
Stopped in a few minutes ago and the short bread and the brown sugar cookies are amazing! We are excited for our granola, bread pudding, and porridge loaf! We will be back!
Seth Elgar
Pan au chocolat is great!
Semolina loaf is my absolute favorite option, but you can't really go wrong here!
Merry Stevenson
Fantastic bakery! Stopped for some breakfast roadtrip food. The ham and cheese croissant was great (caution very flaky to eat in car!) The cinnamon croissant roll was a new spin on a fav, very yummy. And the financier (almond tea cake) was a new one I had never heard of. We also got a dairy free option for my friend, cranberry walnut loaf also great. They serve coffee (no creamer) and a small assortment of grocery's. I can't wait to come through next year!
Mylissa Compton
Great bakery! This can get addicting. I went in the the intent of just purchasing a half of loaf to make sandwiches for that evening. I ended up purchasing 2 1/2 loaves and some cookies. OMG. My guest raved about how good the bread was and thought maybe I had taken up baking bread in my spare time. I will definitely be frequenting Amelia's for all my bread needs and probably when my sweet tooth is flaring up too.
Amy Cardis
Gluten free breakfast cookies are amazing!
Krystal Thompson
I cannot say enough good things about this bakery. Their savory croissants are beyond amazing and if I could give them more than 5 stars I would. Amelia's use of fresh, rotating flavors/spices consistently surprises and delights me. Try to get there early if you can!
David Locascio
Very good bakery. The focaccia is too good, it barely makes it home! Reasonable prices. Limited quantities so they can sometimes run out of popular items - go early!
April
The best spot for grab and go fresh bread, and assorted pastries, cookies, and biscuits. They also have drinks and a selection of meats, cheeses, condiments and pastas. Amelia’s has the best croissants in town! Always fresh and always something new to try.
Johnny Guitar
Got a chocolate croissant and it changed my life
Krista Gremos
The bread is great, but it seems like they are out of half the styles they make every time we go. Last time they were down to maybe three or four types of bread because of oven issues (?). Sigh. Still worth the trip to get a loaf.
Tyrone White
I love their coffee they offer. (Tinker)! The breads are very similar to German bread. The customer service is excellent and the cookies are the best in the city but should be at $3.00 a piece
Jacob Bower-Bir
Excellent baguettes and baked goods (they received only minor mocking from French visitors, which is as close to a laudatory review as I've ever heard from them), with a decent variety of enjoyable breads. One of the few Fletcher Place and Fountain Square establishments to be open on the weekend, though weekend hours are a bit lax for a bakery. Still, everyone deserves a weekend, even (maybe especially) bakers. It would be nice if you could sit and enjoy the space for a while, and there is certainly room for it, but currently it is a get-in get-out kind of place.
Aaron Kleyla
A lot of restaurants around the Indy area use bread from Amelia's for their sandwiches or table bread, and with good reason. Amelia's offers a variety of bread including long baguettes to country style to sour dough. These are very crusty, with an excellent chew, and really shine with a nice butter. Cookies, brownies, coffee cakes, and other baked goods are available as well. All of these in house made goods are well priced and worth every penny.
Other items are for sale too and all pair well with bread. Butters, cheeses, salumi, olive oil, etc are available for purchase. The space is nicely adorned with personalized little touches that really show small business pride. If in the area, stop in for a treat. Make your next meal even better with freshly baked bread, the best in Indy in my opinion.
Alan Hosch
Excellent fresh baked 🍞. Genoan style avocados, semolina with fennel, pugliese, etc. Reasonable prices. Friendly employees. …
Seth Halstead
Amelia's has awesome cookies and breads. It is connected to Blue Beards, but it's a great place to grab a quick cookie after lunch. Don't get the peanut butter because I tried to get one yesterday and they were all gone, so I would prefer you get something else and leave those for me.
Chessa Rae
Impressive assortment of fresh daily bread, cookies, biscuits, croissants and other sweet and savory flour masterpieces. Reasonably priced, and Tinker coffee! Also a few fancy groceries available from other artisan brands.
Rachel Simmons
best brownies i have ever had. ever.
& that is a LOT of steep competition.
i dont eat "junk" ...no microwave, no hydrogenated, no pasteurized process, no shelf stable... but addicted 1st bite when i met Amelias Brownies at the Indy Winter Market a few yr ago! Luckily its only a few miles from home; No other chocolate will do now!!
Slav Gatchev
Delish pastries! Tried the chocolate almond croissant and a peach danish. Beautiful. Pair with a coffee from Calvin Fletcher’s next door.
PS there is a hilarious review below where someone complains (and gives one star) that this place is so good they always run out of bread by the time she gets there after work. Wow just wow. This is the best compliment you can give them.
Sarah Smith
All the brunch spots were pretty filled up so I was hopeful for this alternative and my hope was not misplaced. I recommend something savory and something sweet. I can't remember the exact names of them but I got a rectangular croissant type pastry with mint goat cheese and pea sprouts and an oatmeal walnut cookie. As hard as it was to eat with my hands and not a fork and knife because of the sprouts. It was DELICIOUS.
The issue people have with oatmeal raisin cookies is the raisin so naturally there's none inside but amazing perfectly sweet and salty tastes. It's really hard for me to not go back in and get more.
The store was a little hard to find for me so if College Ave is behind you and you see Pivot across the street, keep going and it'll be on your right
Keeli Branin
Best. Pastry. Ever.
Do yourself a favor: get the cinnamon roll, microwave for 15 seconds, and DONT SHARE
TORI_SLN
I love their fresh breads. My personal favorite is the country loaf 🤤 …
Mg 0
Delicious, rich, massive cookies. My oat-walnut cooky was crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside, especially at the centre. Highly recommended. Would have loved to have been in town long enough to buy a loaf of bread !
Stephan Kline
Mmmmm! First rate bread - none better. Their City Loaf makes the best toast and sandwiches ever. So does the Semolina loaf. We make grilled cheese using our George Foreman grill. Super delicious.
Victoria Letnich
I go here weekly for a loaf of their semolina bread. It is my absolute favorite for my work sandwiches and to dip into soups. The salted brownie is also quite the treat. Amelia's is definitely my favorite bakery in town.
Mim Mast
Such "melt in your mouth " pastries, I had to try quite a few. Sat outdoors and felt safe in current conditions. Wonderful experience!
Frank.K Gaza
UPDATE Still one of the best but last time there Jan 2022, sixteen cop cars and three “personnel” carriers went down in front. Felt like a third world country. Not for me
Fantastic (big city food has nothing over the dainties served here--you wont find anything better in 500 miles)
Deb Schwab
I've had Amelia's bread at other establishments. And when I went in at the store. I saw some cheese. That I had tried in other places. But when I bought it from there it was a very good. Also the clerks a young man may be in his early twenties was very unprofessional unpersonable it was before 9 a.m. by the way on a weekday
Adam Dillon
Best bakery in Indianapolis. Delicious in house baked sourdough bread, Tinker coffee on drip, and pastries leagues above any other local offering.
Coldfrost
There foccia is delicious as is their savory city bread and rye bread overall great selection of delicious breads!
Karen Porter
Fantastic bread. Stopped here while waiting for a brunch table and was wowed. I did not expect artisan bread this good on a random street in Indianapolis. The cranberry walnut bread and foccacia were both delicious.
Paul Greiner
Stunning! If you're looking for quality. Look no further. You need to come here for a great experience. Fresh. Fresh. Fresh. Tasty. Tasty. Tasty. I'm thinking... yes!
Richard Schneider
Everything I've bought there is excellent. Try to go on Wednesday for their Olive bread, best I've ever had!
lily bird
Thir fresh pastries are so perfectly crunchy on the outside and flaky and light on the inside, the bread is also wonderful you won't be disappointed
Mark Shapard
IMHO this bakery bakes some of the best whole wheat sourdough boules in the country. I visit Indianapolis at least a couple of times a year and always bring several loaves back with me when I return home to Colorado.
Aja Boudreau
A must stop in Fletcher Place. This bakery not oinly serves amazing, fresh bread, but some delicious pasties and local goodies as well. I always go for the semolina.....So good toasted with butter!!
Weston Bonczek
If you visit Indy, I would make this a priority. If you live in Indy, I would make this a staple. Not only are their regular breads truly out of this world but their rotating loaves and treats are a true gift to the Earth. Pop next door to Bluebeard if you are wanting a full meal by the same owner.
Sam C.
Moving to Indy from overseas I almost stopped eating bread completely because the stuff in the supermarket is a joke. Stumbled across Amelia’s and hallelujah, real bread!! I’m in there once a week, you guys rock. Please teach everyone what real bread tastes like.
Janet Hendrickson
Sourdough is great! Their butter croissants are the best ever. Try Amelia's, you will never go back to your normal fare!
Elizabeth Enas
Amelia's always has a wonderful selection of rotating pastries and rustic loaves. They also carry my favorite tomato jam. And the folks behind the counter are friendly and helpful!
Aubrey Holle
The chocolate chip cookies are top 5 for me. And honestly haven't made it past them on the menu- I'm sure everything is of that quality, though!
XM M
Friendly, inviting.
Quite a variety of cheese and other dairy products included but not limited to Jam.
The Bread is Always Fresh, and the pasteries give you something new to try

One of the best bakeries I have ever visited from the entire East Coast all the way west to Arizona I have not found a bakery that has better brwad or Croissants then Amelia's and I am extremely picky and very partial to True French bread!Honest to God the croissants in balogne,France are NO where near as good as her croissants! You truly will have your first bread "food-gasm" when you try her fresh baked breads for the first timel

(Translation) Used for light breakfast. The outside dining space is along the road, but it was very quiet and I was able to spend an elegant time listening to the chirping of birds.
The croissants are very crispy and impressive! ️In addition to croissants, it seems that you can enjoy different bread for each day of the week. The croissant was delicious, so I regretted that I should have bought the bread as well😭
In addition to bread, the store also has side dishes, fruits, and Japanese seasonings.
The staff are also very friendly.
Highly recommended!! ️
