I purchased a six pack of the pound cups and was so excited to see all the flavors and how cute they are! I was lucky to grab a coconut one, 2 pistachio, a lemon, a peanut butter and a cookies and cream. All amazing and delicious. They are clearly made with high quality ingredients and the perfect snack or gift. I highly recommend!

Was looking for a local bakery and this place showed up on google, I figured I’d give it a shot. The shop itself it’s small but cute, the woman behind the counter was very inviting and the cupcakes were so beautiful. Not only were they beautiful but also delicious! I like that the cake is dense but not overpowering and the frosting is so smooth with the perfect level of sweetness. The ratio of frosting to cake is absolutely perfect and the flavors are extremely fresh! I will be a repeat customer!

Never will you taste a better cake! I Love coconut cake and try it wherever I go. This cake is the perfect pound cake with delicious coconut frosting! It is very rich and moist. The bakery offers adorable wedding favors and cupcakes in a variety of flavors. The owner is warm and friendly.

Got a chance to try out a few cupcakes from Perfect Poundcakes this weekend. Bruhhh, they were so flavorful and filling!!! The strawberry lemon cheesecake cupcake was mind blowing. What’s even more amazing, they’re all made using pound cake ingredients. If you have a sweet tooth, this is your place. The variety and creativity of flavors really makes them stand out. Definitely going to grab some poundcake for the holidays.

Many decades ago my Great Grandmother moved from Mobile, Alabama to Hartford, Connecticut. She took with her (6) children and a host of recipes, among those was a recipe for incredible Poundcake that has been passed down through the generations. I say this with complete conviction and earnest— Perfect Poundcake is the ONLY bakery/brand I’ve found to rival the flavor of our family recipe. Enjoying the original Poundcake I’m reminded of my family and my childhood. This is my 4th cake, and each time I’ve required some special accommodation (time, delivery, etc) that they’ve been able to fulfill without fuss. I highly recommend trying this cake and sharing some with friends & family.

I highly recommend this family-owned small business to everyone! The banana pudding pound cups are hands-down my favorite treat but all of the flavors are amazing. You can tell everything is homemade and fresh and the customer service is great. We ordered the plain pound cake after deliberating whether to get the lemon instead. The plain was AMAZING. My wife said it was the best pound cake she has ever had. I have to agree. Not sure why they call it a pound cake? It’s huge and weighs well over a pound. Next time we are going for the lemon.

Amazing local bakery with delicious cakes and cupcakes. I was able to get a dozen pound cups last minute and it was an absolute hit for my sister's birthday .They are extremely nice and accommodating- I was so relieved that I was able to place my order in such short notice. Their daily pound cup counter is immense with a variety of wonderful, unique and classic flavors. All of the flavors are AWESOME but the lively lemon and pistachio are my favorites. If you're anywhere nearby you should visit. Even if you're not nearby - consider visiting and purchasing their treats! Your sweet tooth will thank you.

Tamika was INCREDIBLY kind and thoughtful and gave suggestions on what might be the best options. She delivered them to our location, all perfectly wrapped, and ready to surprise our staff. Everyone on our team, no matter the flavor, devoured the cakes. And I have to say that it was potentially the best poundcake I have ever tasted. I fell in love with this women, minority, and family owned business out of East Hartford! With grandma’s original pound cake recipe crafted in the depths of Alabama, that alone is a recipe for success! As soon as we stepped foot into this little shop, we were greeted by Jala with a big smile who was ready to help us put together the perfect bunch of poundcups. There were several returning customers who filed in looking to grab a quick dessert for their Memorial Day parties as well. In addiction to the adorable poundcups (poundcakes in the shape of cupcakes), they also sell loaves, poundcakes, and 2-layer birthday cakes. Definitely check them out for your next event!

Fantastic bakery in the middle of nowhere. It’s always the places hidden from the masses with the best food and service. Have been there twice so far. Young lady was there the first time explaining the different flavors and cupcakes and today another kind lady did the same. It’s black owned as well which is a plus for those are want to support black business. The flavors are varied and all delicious. Highly recommend the Reece’s pound cake. It’s a pound cake with heaven sprinkled on top so you’d have to be crazy to not enjoy it.

My wife came home with a poundcakes from an event in town. One bite and I put her in the car to drive there before it closed to buy 4 more slices. The cake was full of flavor and perfectly moist. I've visited perfect poundcakes twice since finding out about them via Instagram late in 2020. I've sampled multiple flavors but by far, the best are the sweet potato poundcups! The last visit, I pre-ordered a multi-pack and when I went to pick up, Tamika (the owner) told me she mistakenly didn't have the ingredients to make the sweet potato ones, but would happily make them for me the following week when they opened. No big deal and I definitely wasn't going to complain about free cupcakes. I went back their next business day and picked up. Tamika is always so pleasant and I always get a family vibe when I go in. Can't wait to try other flavors and of course go back for more sweet potato poundcups.
