I find Donut Crazy to be a bit tantalizing. Just upon entering , I felt like I was in a New Age donut parlor, with a twist of throw back. Who remembers Krispy Kremes? This place takes the cake, pun intended. After my first few bites of a glazed Cruller I just knew it was made old fashioned. The cases are stuffed with donuts,pastry and bagels. most of the donuts are over size, and all the coffee's and teas are piping hot. Once you've made it through all of WH Center, on Farmington Ave, you'll know you've reached the best kept secret in town. Pull right over on the South West corner of town, just down from M&T bank.

Someone told me i could get a donut cake, i thought it was crazy. So i ordered one for my holiday party. It was called a hostess cake. Donut with chocolate frosting and cream filling. It was an instant hit. the whole thing was gone in a flash lol. We even got a beautiful dozen donuts. So festive! They taste amazing. Stop by and give em a try. They even serve breakfast.

I am so happy I finally got to try this place. The lady behind the counter was so nice and helpful. The young man that took our order was so kind. We had the maple bacon donut and it was so delicious. The mama’s omelette and the breakfast burrito were also superb.

Get the bacon burger!!! Its on a donut and its delicious. The only thing i can complain about is its way too small i wish i could of had more space to sit and eat my burger but at the same time i understand its more if a coffee shop vibe. It is pricey i ordered a dozen donuts for 40$ but they are so unique that its worth the price. I havent tried all my donuts yet but i did try my bowl of cereal donut and its amazing the donut itself is dense but soft just the way i like it.

10/10 would recommend this place. My husband and I got 6 of their donuts (Boston crème, French toast, maple bacon, s’mores, cannoli, and oatmeal crème) and spent the entire time we were eating them in pure gourmet donut bliss, only able to communicate our brush with Nirvana through groans and eye rolls. I was overwhelmed by not only their decent donut selection, but also their breakfast and drink options, which just gives me an excuse to keep coming back to sample more items. The only downside is that now we are in sugar comas but it seems like such a small price to pay for perfection.

I absolutely love donut crazy. Such a gem in west Hartford. They are great to the community and also have delicious treats. Great place to meet a friend for coffee or have business meetings. You can find me there multiple mornings every week. I still have not tried the burger on a donut but it looks epic. Went in for a meeting today and everyone was phenomenal as usual. Just the best place for coffee and smiles in the morning. (or tea) what lovely staff. Great breakfast sandwiches

I highly recommend getting the Barnyard egg sandwich!! I always get mine eggs over easy on texas bread. Simply it’s the breakfast kitchen sink egg sandwich. Bacon,sausage,ham and cheese. Have them cut it in half. Great job!!

Are you kidding me ??? On top of being pleasantly greeted while I walked in filming and they said it's okay everybody does that dot-dot. They were running a special buy six donuts get six afraid so needless to say I walked out with 12 amazing donuts 🍩🍩🍩🍩 it was my first time there & definitely NOT my last ... the Donuts also were super fresh and SO SO DELICIOUS!!!

Very large, very creative doughnuts. While this place isn't very large, it certainly packs a punch when it comes to doughnuts. I've never seen a doughnut like this before. The flavors are varied and most are very filling. Only thing to keep in mind is the cost. You're going to pay ~$3.50 per doughnut or about $40 for a "Crazy Dozen" (14 doughnuts). I can also picture this place getting busy in the mornings so plan accordingly.

Find your supreme specialty donuts here! They are incredibly sweet, unique, and decked out with all the bells and whistles. I've gone here twice and ordered the coffee cake donut both times. If you don't have a huge sweet tooth like me, it's a great treat for 2.

Where do I start... This is the place to come if you have a sweet tooth it just want to indulge in a exceptionally tasty gourmet donut. They sell other things as well, including drinks and iced coffee. Because of the variety and exquisiteness of the donuts, it can get expensive based on the amount you want to get (my two boxes of donuts - 12 plus two free) was just over $30, and no, this is not a complaint. You gotta pay to play as they say. Definitely worth it and will return again; sooner than later!

We had a shoot in West Hartford today so I thought I would pick up some donuts for the crew, but I didn't want the traditional ones we usually get from the other guys. I remembered that I saw the Donut Crazy store when I passed by so I decided to stop in and shop here. When I walked in, I noticed a few things - first the place had seating and it appeared to be very clean. The display case was jammed with product. Another thing I noticed is that there was a group of staff members at the counter and they greeted me right away and quickly and cheerily took my order. A dozen donuts is not cheap, about 24.00 for the daily's but if you purchase a dozen - they will give you two free. As for the donuts themselves my crew loved them so they were a hit. Overall a very good experience, I will stop by again! Being a photography team, we had some fun taking photos of the donuts so we have included a couple!

These donuts are HUGE! It was so hard to choose which ones to try. We ended up sharing a tiramisu and salted caramel pretzel. Both amazing. Bountiful filling that was well balanced with crunch from the toppings. I wanted to try them all! I’ve heard people complain about the price but I thought it was reasonable and comparable to other craft donut shops. Paid about $6 for 2 massive pastries. They are open pretty late too which can be dangerous after a couple drinks around West Hartford.

Excellent donut place. We visited Donut Crazy while visiting family in the area for the holidays. Immediately, when you walk in you are struck by the vast selection of gourmet and creative donuts. We ordered the Bowl O’Cereal, Coffee Cake, Samora, Birthday Cake and French Toast donuts. They were packed full of flavor and it seemed each weighed about 5 lbs. We would definitely come back but on an empty stomach. The donuts were excellent, the staff was extremely nice and the pricing was good. We would come back.

I am a bit of a crazy donut connoisseur. These are BOSS. I mean, I would straight up eat Nutella from the jar. But thanks to these guys, I don't have to. They also serve good coffee and breakfast basics. Definitely recommend.

Husband and I went today for the first time. Called our order in and picked it up. Got 6 INCREDIBLY delicious donuts, 2 breakfast sandwiches and 2 coffees. This place is amazing!!! Staff if super nice and attentive. Prices are great considering the high quality of the food and beverages. Coffee is very good as well!! There's tape on the floor to encourage social distancing. We will be back again and again!! I highly recommend this place!!

Super cute donut shop great selection and great customer service. There’s outdoor seating and indoor seating. It’s in such a cute area of the town. Very scenic. I highly recommend the blueberry cake doughnut, blueberry donuts are my least favorite ever put their blueberry doughnut was my favorite donut ever surprisingly, the frosting on top was so soft and the cake was so moist. There tater tot’s are also super crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. 10 out of 10 would recommend and go back

Wow! First off let me say the donuts are beautiful and are huge!! We split two donuts and were actually quite full from them! We tried a salted caramel pretzel along with a tiramisu donut, both were filled, and both were very flavorful! Will definitely be back!

I am a coffee addict and I can easily say this is the best tasting coffee i’ve ever had. Definitely better than Starbucks and Dunkin. The donut is so cute and aesthetically pleasing. The donut tastes even better than it looks and thats saying something since it looks good. If you are wondering wether you should give this place a try then I say go for it!!

Small shop with lots of options. Donuts are crazy good and speak for themselves. Due to the small space and first time visiting staff was polite but rushed. They didn't attempt to offer any help or guidance just seemed to be a bit impatient. Missed options like flavored syrup for coffee... and maybe some other options we weren't aware of. Going to visit again hoping for a more pleasant experience with the staff...

Great donuts and good handmade breakfast sandwiches. Service was extremely slow when we returned and brought friends the second day--not sure what happened as there were only five people waiting for breakfast. A bit disappointed especially when service was great the first day we went. Consistency in service is important. I will say in closing, the donuts were great.

So much more than a "crazy" donut- great coffee and food with as large a selection of sandwiches/wraps/burgers as the donuts. Their daily donuts in classic flavors are worth the trip but the "crazies" push it over the top. And this isn't just a fun topping on a sub-par donut... it's actually very good! Whether it's a cake or yeast style, you'll have trouble choosing just one. Come hungry (and ready to spend), leave happy.

Kitchen closes at 3. The matcha frappe didn't have as rich a matcha taste as I wanted. The plain doughnut was okay, a little dry. Didn't have that rich cakey flavor I wanted. but my favorite doughnut is plain entenmanns doughnuts from the grocery store, so I don't think I'm qualified to judge the doughnuts.

Stopped in for the first time today. The shop is small, but clean and looks good. Was greeted right away by friendly staff who was patient while I looked over the menu. Service was quick (my sandwich was ready in about five minutes), and the food was amazing. I had a donut and the El Niño sandwich, and they were both amazing!

Great little shop to try if you never been to a gourmet donut shop. I especially love that they have the same great taste compared to the larger gourmet donut chains but the donuts are huge so it's well worth the money. I love cannoli's and donuts so they decided to out them together. What's better than that?

Say goodbye to dunkin donuts. The donuts here are amazing and you'll never want a donut from anywhere else. Make sure to check out their seasonal donuts but always make sure to get the cereal donut. I bought 25 of them in place of a birthday cake and it was the best donut filled week of my life. Update: Today, years after the above review, my pregnant wife was craving donuts. Everything seemed closed and Uber eats was no luck. I called Donut Crazy and luckily they were open and helped us place an order through Uber Eats. My wife and I greatly appreciate the above and beyond service provided to us. We'll continue to recommend Donut Crazy :) Also, make sure to get the Creme Brulee donut. My favorite dessert is now in donut form.

The donuts were amazing. I would give this higher rating and actually want to give it a 3 and 1/2 rating since I been to the store in New Haven before also. There was no parking in the area and you must pay for parking. I had to walk up about 2 blocks to park. There is some seats inside but it doesn't really accommodate for a huge amount of people understandably. The service was just ok. There was only 1 person at the time we went and she was helpful . I received a totally different vibe from the staff in New Haven. They went out there way to great me and walked me through most of the donuts they had on deck. This rating of a 4 is based on the amazing donuts. If you get a chance to go try it you won't be sorry. They only real issue is I couldn't order just 1 and they can be pricey. I feel for some reason the other store they were cheaper prices but I am not sure.

My coworker and I order from here 3x a week. We love it but they never read the special instructions. We ask for over easy eggs and it never comes and when we pay for bacon on our tater tots most of the time it comes without. Food is delicious but it would be even better if we got what we asked.

Not the greatest but appreciate the variety of flavors. I have tried about 10 different flavors and the only one I liked is the Coco Loco. It was a waste of my money, because they are a little pricey but I liked the idea of trying new flavors. They are big enough to share. I also tried the Crazy Tots with bacon and those were delicious; nice an crunchy on the outside.

Very friendly staff. We went in the evening, so the selections were Skinner than usual. I'm rather plain, so I tried the chocolate cake donut and the glazed. The chocolate cake was a little heavy, but very good. The glazed was light and delightful. I'd go again.

Donuts are, well... crazy! I like the pb&j one the best so far. Some of the donuts are huge, though, so be warned!!! I know it's still early, since they just opened, but there's definitely room for improvement in their other food selections. They're delicious, don't get me wrong, but today, I waited almost 20 minutes for avocado toast. Just avocado on a piece of bread... It was good...but not worth the 20-minute wait. I hope that gets better as they settle in.

Donut crazy is a really nice little spot. A lot of people give them a hard time because "how can you charge $3.65 for a donut?!?" And "how can you not have a cheaper dozen price?!?" Look, it is not Dunkin donuts, it is a gourmet establishment. Their donuts are very nicely made, the atmosphere is really nice, and my family of four can go, spend 3 minutes deciding what we want, and have a pleasant sit down dessert in an inviting environment, and leave 15 minutes later for under $7 (we all split 2). And honestly if you were at blue plate kitchen and paid $9 for one of these donuts after your meal, you would be very happy. Definitely recommend this place, and hey, if you DON'T like it, your only out like $7 :)

Pretty amazing all around. Regular donuts are done well. Feels like a bougie dunkin. Their crazy donuts are creative, massive, and delicious. Their breakfast sandwiches are a bit unique since it has two eggs in them instead of one. Great for a filling start to the day. I recommend the blueberry cake, coco loco, and the jalapeno bacon sandwich on a croissant.

Great selection. Great atmosphere. Great staff. My family and I stopped in after dinner. We ordered cappuccino's and a couple of doughnuts. Some of the options are pretty far out - we were rather lame and enjoyed the Maple Bacon and French Toast doughnuts. Staff mentioned that gluten-free options may be on the way... Nice to see a spot like this in the Greater Hartford area.

If you’re looking for specialized donuts (especially decadent options), this is a fantastic option. The selection is excellent and they serve other food options as well (breakfast sandwiches and more). As others have mentioned, the prices are a little high, but the donuts are also really big and filling. Although I don’t think this should be an every day stop, it’s a perfect idea for a special treat or picking up something a little fancy to impress coworkers or guests. I do wish there was an option for a small cardboard box (or paper bag) for single donuts instead of the plastic boxes they come in. It seems like a simple switch for a more environmentally friendly packaging. I also was a little disappointed in their nitro cold brew. It was overly concentrated and didn’t have the usual smoothness of nitro cold brew.

My service here was prompt , friendly And knowledgeable of the many ingredients of donuts ; in case of allergens . Donut Crazy , also caters to a less calorie menu ; which includes salads , sandwiches, tea , water just to name a few. My order for a Fruity Pebbles B- day cake , may seem a bit overwhelmimg ! But the kids / adults will rave if donuts are of there liking . A sliver won't hurt !!! My order was taken 24 hours in advance and was ready the next morning @ 9: 30 am for pick up !!! For those who may not wish to dive into an enormous donut cake ; there are some donuts much smaller . Now the french toast donut is indulging and maybe shared w/ two individuals . Truth be told .... All there familiar variety of donuts can be shared ; unless you've encountered a bad day or just Life in itself. So , Bona petite !

ABSOLUTELY DELISH! I went there for the first time this morning to treat myself (Donuts 1: My Keto diet 0). I had a large coffee with just cream and a Maple Bacon Donut - literally heaven on a pillow of dough. The maple frosting was sweet but not overly so, and the bacon tasted meaty and smoky but not too salty. I am already dying to go back!!!

My husband brought a dozen home and got our 3 year old a smoothie which was $45. Yiiikes after the initial sticker shock we dug in. They all felt and tasted fresh. Some more sweet than others. My favorite was The Nutella. SO delicious perfectly fried, stuffed with Nutella and topped with some sort of ganache with coco krispies. Must have if you are a Nutella fan. Runner up but equally delicious was the Brown Sugar Pop Tart. Topped with homemade brown sugar pop tarts. Thank you for making them from scratch because you blow the boxed ones out of the water!!! There wasn’t a bad one in the bunch. This is a place where you can go and get ONE donut and be satisfied which has never happened to me. Expensive yes, but you are paying for quality.

Long line but it moved quickly. The cashier had a big smile on her face. The Barnyard on a portuguese roll was incredible. The wait for a sandwich was an additional 15 minutes. It was worth it. Great addition to the center.

Awesome donuts. The craziest donuts i have ever seen. Have swiss roll on top of a donut with cherries and cream. Another had a whoopie pie on top of a strawberry donut with a strawberry buttercream topping. Can wait to try them all. A little pricey for the crazies, but well worth it.

I've been there 3 times once to check it out by myself see what it was all about. Bought 2 Donuts nothing crazy they were okay nothing crazy kinda pricey to be honest. Then the other two times I went with friends bc they wanted to go they were closed both times bc they sold outta donuts like come on I can see once you're a donut shop!!! That is the one thing you make and do and you have been closed multiple times bc no donuts......next!!
