Fantastic service with our waitress Collen today. The food was perfect. The bacon was the best I've had in years. The portions are a bit small for the price but the taste makes up for the smaller size. Hands down amazing experience today. My younger daughters love coming here and we'll surely be back!

Arnie's has the best cake in town! The softness of the cake combined with the amazing buttercream frosting. On top of everything, they charge extremely reasonable prices. Our 8 inch round cake was $20 and they did both raspberry and buttercream filling in the center for us. I highly recommend!

Nice, relaxing, clean location. I've been here more now since the original building burned down a few years ago. The service was good and the girl was very prompt to our needs. It wasn't busy today which was nice since I was hoping for a more intimate feel, instead of craziness with people everywhere. Our food came out pretty quickly and our waitress made sure that our drinks never went empty. The ONLY complaint that I have about our visit today is when our food came out there were gnats that all of the sudden appeared and would not leave us alone until we were done. The dessert area is amazing and the selection of delicious pastries is always a delight... they even have a frozen yogurt selection with flavors that rotate out. A great place, indeed.

Food was just ok. California omelet has green peppers and onion cut way to big. The breakfast my Mother purchased came with raisin bread and she asked for regular white toast. The waitress said we will have to see what kind of mood the cook is in. Really?? Other than that, is was pretty slow so we had what we needed fairly quickly. Overall friendly staff.

I have adored Arnie's cakes since I was young. I'm in town for my birthday for the first time in years, so my dad ordered a Chantilly cake for my bday and a different cake for my sister's bday (three days after mine). He picked them up today and saw that the names were switched on the cakes. He noted it to the young woman working the register. She reluctantly offered to redo the names, but my dad was afraid it would mess up the cakes. Also, it was very busy there and my dad, who never wants to raise a fuss, didn't want to be a bother. There was no apology offered. I'm sure the cakes will be delicious, and mistakes happen, but an apology along with a more reassuring offer to redo the cakes would have been more in line with the customer service we usually receive from Arnie's.

Bakery is a 5!!! Baked goods are amazing. Cakes and cupcakes are flavorful and moist and definitely worth the purchase (personalized orders that I have placed have always been correct and beautiful) and the staff very helpful. Restaurant has some struggles. That's reason for lower score. Slow service (& sometimes even rude at times). Burger deal, salads, and French onion soup are very good. Other items - just so,so and sometimes even disappointing.

We went there for the Mothers Day Brunch! I haven't been there in more than 34 years! Ever Since I moved from the West Side. It's Just as Great as I remember it ; Delicious Food, Huge Selection, Wonderful Waitstaff, and Terrific Prices! No Wonder It's an been like a Must Stop in Grand Rapids for Decades! They know Food!

GREAT PLACE FOR A GROUP OR PARTY! Saturday, we had a birthday party at Arnie’s. We has 15 adults and everyone was happy. Great service, great food, beautiful birthday cake and of course, everyone took home their free cupcake. My husband and I love to eat at Arnie’s ourselves, as do many of our friends.

I ordered my favorite dessert (Banket) on Thursday and recurved it by Saturday morning. An impressive feat seeing as I live in TN and am unable to visit Arnie's in person due to COVID. Not to mention it tastes AMAZING! If I could give 6/5 stars for speed, I would.

Excellent cake for Father's Day! Chocolate buttercream with chocolate filling! So moist. Usually chocolate ends up dry. Not this Bakery! It was fabulous!

Good food wait times for acknowledgement of arrival and seating was too long ,many servers and staff just walked by us . The wait time on our food was unexcusable ,( very common at this restaurant location) we almost walked out. A bit pricey also ,but there were no issues with food once we finally received it. If other breakfast options are available we generally go there first.

In a word ... okay, make that six words: great staff, great food, great prices. i've gone numerous times & everything has been consistently top-notch. lots of people are good at their jobs, but not everyone manages to be pleasant while doing their job. everyone i've encountered there has been friendly like it came naturally to them, not like it was "required'. nice setting, clean & spacious ... it's all good.

I absolutely love the new menu, the food was great and new menu items seemed of higher quality (or at least the bread)--although chips are now $1.00 extra for some menu items, it seems like most prices are exactly what they were before the changes--and unlike others I always have good service and seem to get my food very fast. BUT no more free cupcake with your dinner?!?!?! Anytime I talked to anyone about dining at Arnie's, I ALWAYS spoke of the free cupcake with dinner, and Arnie's made me a liar. Honestly why wouldn't they just bump up the price $0.50 on any item on the menu rather than charging people for it. Sure I get it. It's $0.50. But there is something to be said about the UNIQUE (competitively advantaged in terms the Arnie's folks should understand) experience of getting an Arnie's Bakery cupcake included with your meal at the restaurant and having the waitstaff ask if what kind of cupcake you'd like at the end. Unfortunately, I think this change is here to stay as they have a stack of placemats printed out with the new $2.99 cupcake with soft drink and dinner promotion, which seems more like a demotion. In the words of Sean Connery as Captain Hook: Bad form, Arnie's. Bad Form.

We ordered a wedding cake when I went to pick it up it wasn’t exactly what we ordered. The staff there called in the decorator who was off . She came in was super awesome about fixing the cake. I can’t thank Christina enough! FYI Arnie’s Bakery is the shizzle!!! Everything they make is heaven on a fork!

Just to clarify, this is the location of the bakery that has a little cafe. This is *not* the restaurant further down the road. Now that we're clear, the bakery has been providing my family with birthday cakes for over 30 years, since before I was born. The service here has been great and I'm sure we'll continue ordering cakes here for as long as they're around!

Love the food at Arnie's and one of the reasons we go is because they offer you a free danish with your breakfast. Unfortunately the last two times we've went they haven't had the danish. Seems odd that a place that has it's own bakery can't keep danish on hand...maybe they'll let us bring a danish from some place else since they're finding it hard to make them.

Had lunch at Leonard Street Arnie's and the new menu is simply amazing! Probably one of the best menus I have seen and I travel to fine places all over the US. I had the wedge salad with the Cubano sandwich on Beer City cheese bread. The wedge salad was fantastic with excellent blue cheese dressing and the Cubano was one of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten! My wife had the brisket sandwich which she loved! Great ambiance as well! We will be back! Well done and keep up the great work!

We had a hankering for something sweet and gooey and thought a bakery would be the way to go. WRONG. We were very disappointed with the selection (actually the lack of) of donuts and or baked goods. If you want donuts or baked goods, run over to Meijer or Marges.

Food may not be the most locally sourced or fanciest, but they give you great portions and good flavor. Kids love coming here, maybe because of the cupcake you get at the end of your meal. They also have fresh baked breads and cakes which are really good.

If you need a birthday cake and understand that buttercream frosting is the best thing on earth, then this is your place. Their dinner menu is a nice break, but could use updating in recipe and presentation. I was actually significantly disappointed in their breakfast offering.

Went to lunch today and was suprised to see the new menu. My husband and I didn't like the menu at all. What we did order was so so. I had the wrap with the cucumber dressing & choice of meat. It wasn't what I'd expect from Arnie's. My husband had the French dip and French Onion Soup. The sandwich was a mess, very sloppy. He had to go find someone to bring ask for his Au Jus for dipping. I had asked for a ham and cheddar on rye was told I couldn't get that anymore. Its to bad you couldn't have kept some of the favs in with the new. For those of us that have been customers for 20+ years. We won't be returning to Arnie's any time soon. Very disappointed...

Friendly and very welcoming. The staff is kind, curtious, and above all very well mannered on a professional level as well as a personal level. In my opinion training a waitress to serve customers while actually waiting on them is the perfect solution to proper training. For those of you who have never experienced Arnies you should come by and, ask for Kayla (she's a hoot) or Miranda (Kayla trained her) I was actually a cook here back in the 70s and it is a warning sensation to see that the staff has not lowered their standards. In closing I dare say to all you critics and skeptics, get over yourselves. To those that may be courious I say come on in and learn for yourselves.

Arnie's has been a go-to treat for me for 25 years. The Scandinavian Shuffle (with turkey) is one of my favorite comfort foods. Cucumber sauce. I've also purchased the Arnie's Poppyseed dressing for home to use on my own salads. The baked goods are on my list for a #DiscoveryMichigan bakery tour. Yum!

My family and I love Arnie’s. It’s a tradition to do a fun Friday treat. Besides the delicious snacks inside, they have made two amazing cakes for us. One was ducky theme for a baby shower and the other a first birthday lion cake! The waitresses are awesome and work so hard to give you a great experience.
