Review Date: September 15th, 2015 Panera, eat your heart out. In a world where you can get coffee anywhere, bagels here-n-there, and artisan menus far-and-few, Bruegger’s hits all 3 of those notes while delivery quality. On a wild 4-hour trip to Des Moines to try Zombie Burger, I made it a point to stop for an appetizer at a bagel/coffee place. My destination pointer landed on Bruegger’s and what a delicious stop it was after being cramped in a car for 4 hours. We rolled up on an empty belly which demanded coffee and bagels. We stroll in after taking some goofy photos outside and look over the menu. I knew I was going to get a black coffee, a bagel, and something else to tide me over. I can’t remember the flavor of bagel I got, but the combination of chips, coffee, and bagel hit the sweet spot. The bagel left a little bit to be desired but my taste buds weren’t picky after such a long drive… and needing to save space for our next adventure. If you have been to Panera, Einstein Bros Bagels, or The Great American Bagel, this place will be of common familiarity. A decently-sized artisan cafe that offers a fancy menu with basics, such as; coffee, bagels, cookies, donuts, breads, other various baked goods. You can swing by and get a simple coffee or stop in for lunch and try something upscale and unique. During my visit, I only had some basic things but there were some interesting and delicious sounding items on their menu. I would like to try them out some day, if I am ever in the area of a Bruegger’s again. The bagels I get at home pale in comparison… and there is no way my cooking skills can come up with anything half as delicious as what these places concoct.

I used to have their herby turkey all the time but a lot of locations have closed. Stopped at this location today and I'm so happy I did. The herby turkey was just as good as I remember and the staff members were amazing! They were super friendly and polite!!!

They still have the dining room closed per pandemic. That's cool they had outside seating. I had the Farmhouse and the Smokehouse breakfast bagels! Outstanding! Glad I can walk there!! ♥️

I think they're the best bagels in town, the staff has always been friendly to me, been getting bagels here for 20+ years. My life would be complete if they brought back the tomato cheese soup they used to serve every Tuesday, was an extremely popular soup, not sure why you would ever stop serving something so clearly loved, but I think that happened with new management years ago.

I went here for the first time the other day. Very pleasantly surprised. I had a olive oil bagel with the pastrami. Excellent. They just didn't have seating. But it looks like they were staffed up.

The staff at this location care for the packaging of your eats! They offer suggestions, and yes they upsell. Bagels are fresh, coffee is hot and you can get in and out.

Since we don't have Bruegger's Bagels in Indiana, we needed one last fix on our way home from visiting family in Iowa. As always, our breakfast sandwiches and coffee were on point. Hilda and Elizabeth helped us with our big bagel bundle order to go, we will get to enjoy these awesome bagels for a few days upon our return home. Always great food, awesome customer service in a clean and friendly environment!

Expert service by Brian! I called within 30 minutes of their closing as I was driving from Des Moines for Chicago. We enjoy Bruegger's Bagels but there isn't a Bruegger's in the entire state of Illinois so I wanted to bring a treat home to share with my wife. Brian set aside an order of Everything bagels and stayed open a few minutes after closing waiting for me. That's customer service and I really appreciate Brian for making it happen. I wish there was a Bruegger's Bagels near us...with Brian! Thanks again, Brian.

This is always a great place to come for a quick bite to eat. I absolutely recommend just getting the bagels with cream cheese it's simple and great to take to parties or meeting. And if your buying just for yourself the use of a Roosevelt band card can save tons of money. It's a must for a cheap meal

This Bruegger’s is always fresh and amazing. Today (12/14) I went to have breakfast here, and a guy makes Chad made my experience amazing. He is the type of worker this world needs. He is the type of person that keeps me coming back. His service is unparalleled, and knows the true meaning of customer service. Keep it up Chad! great blueberry bagels! they were out of the bagel i wanted at one location, and so we had to drive to another. they gave us 2 free bagels because we had to drive to another location. so nice. great customer service! ❤️

Wouldn't recommend employment. Workers are full of drama, creates unpleasant work environment. Poor chain of Managers including District & beyond. Failed to file incident reports for injured employees to avoid "getting in trouble". Alot of shortcuts being made to produce product including boiling bagels in soup warmers when kettle is broke down . means the bagels aren't at correct temp to bake. Not following proper slack time for dough meaning its not ready to boil let alone bake but theyre still serving these bagels to customers . Theyve also knowingly and irresponsibly served expired cream cheese to guests .

Not all Brugger's franchises are good, but, this is one of the good ones. (The one they used to have in West Des Moines was slightly better.) I visit it when I visit my kids. I was born in Manhattan and also lived in NJ, Bronx, and Brooklyn. The closest I can get where I live now is Panera, but it's not a real bagel. I order bagels by mail from NY, Boston or Toronto. They're not as fresh but at least they're bagels. Too bad Brugger's doesn't ship.

Brueggers is great because bagels offer a specific kind of breakfast comfort. This Brueggers, though, is always understaffed at super busy times. Leads me to believe its poorly managed. Parking situation isnt good. Always a long wait. The workers arent in any hurry to complete orders either. When the food comes its good, so if you can stomach the wait, youll get decent bagels!

Best kept secret. While you go to Panera and Star$$$$$, BB is a Diamond in the rough. For the Vegetarian and Pescotarian the menu favors you. I like the fact of seeing the bagels cooked on your way to the order area. As long as BB is in buisness, ill be a customer.

Best bagel shop in town. But, if you order a dozen, be sure to ask them to cut the bagels for you as they typically won't unless asked.

I would like to recommend this place to everyone, the prices are reasonable and the food was great, the restaurant is clean and staff friendly, I see families, couples and singles meet here, I had a Bagel with cream cheese and COFFEE, YOU CAN GET SANDWICHES, SOUPS AND BAGELS WITH CREAM CHEESE, SALADS, POP AND ICED TEA WITH DIFFERENT COFFEE DRINKS, THERE WAS NO WAITING, BUT USUALLY 10 MINUTES TO 15 MINUTES.
