***Updated review!*** I have not visited this place since they have moved. Their new location is very accessible, a much bigger parking lot in the back, with a handicap spot, very long ramps for wheelchair accessibility. (Please note, Well this area is accessible to persons in wheelchairs, there is no indoor seating, and very little space to maneuver, however I'm sure the wonderful stuff would have no problem assisting you if you still needed help! They are always great!) If you are picking up pre-orders for yourself or a delivery service, they do have shelves immediately out back so you can pick up the order with very little hassle. They are still requiring mask, and have provided them with hand sanitizer and napkins right insides the door. And probably best of all, they added a beautiful patio area with string lights and tall bushes that make it feel like a hidden paradise. You can see inside the store that they have a lot of options for merchandise, local coffee, and some grab and go beverages. I was especially interested in the mugs due to their sturdy and comfy design. I ended up getting one of their patches for a good friend of mine. It's very well made and reasonably priced, I feel confident that it will last for a while. Not only do they have a lot of options for you to choose from, they also have gluten-free options as well, and have made it easy for you to differentiate them at a glance as the two tags are different colors. I am already very confident in their quality of baked goods, and I'm so happy to see them expand to a larger space!

Wedding services review: Best. Wedding cake. Ever. Hands-down! Moist, great texture, and tons of flavors to choose from. We loved the huge variety of cake and icing/frosting flavors to choose from, and none were sickeningly sweet. We really liked that Pattycake offers cupcake tastings to try out flavor combinations you’re interested in. We ordered an assortment of six differently-flavored cupcakes for our wedding and a small two-tier wedding cake decorated with frosting flowers. Pattycake delivered straight to our venue – easy-peasy. Our guests raved about how delicious our cakes were, and we didn’t have to worry about our vegan friends missing out on the yum! Our wedding cake itself was BEAUTIFULLY decorated and we ended up eating it all in the weeks that followed our wedding. Not one crumb was left between the cupcakes and cakes. Highly recommend Pattycake!

Absolutely love this bakery. For medical reasons I had strict diet for a while. They are completely vegan and have very good gluten free options. I come back to this day over many other ‘dairy full’ bakeries because they are so yummy. I also had them make our wedding cake to cut and serve to our vegan guests and it was so pretty. 💜

As somebody with lactose and gluten intolerances and a huge sweet tooth, I am thankful for this bakery. Their products are all vegan and some are gluten free. They are closed Monday and Tuesday but are still easy to find daily at local coffee shops and a couple markets. For anyone who is concerned about accessibility, the steps in front facing N High can be avoided! There is an accessible space in the parking lot behind the bakery and a ramp which wraps around to the front door!

Very delicious vegan bakery! Highly recommended! The treats keep well too! I'd say maybe for 2 weeks but I keep them in the fridge. The Saturday sticky buns are fantastic! I got a chocolate coffee cake here which was also really good!

I love Pattycake Bakery! I had them make my wedding cake, and this year I had them make a 4" version for just me and my husband. It was so cute and delicious. I have to eat gluten free, so I'm glad I could get a cake with fun flavors, like raspberry frosting and lemon cake.

If you're even considering going to Pattycakes, I want you to stop reading this review, go get in your car and... well, go. This place is absolute heaven on earth and every single thing that I put into my mouth was like I was being reborn. Wish I was joking, but I'm already planning a six-hour round trip back soon to get more of those chocolate chip cookies!!!! And peanut butter bars AAAAHHH!

Pattycakes Bakery exceeded our expectations. We needed a dairy-free cake and saw reviews suggesting this was the place in Columbus for a vegan wedding cake. They were so right! Elizabeth at Pattycakes was so easy to work with, responded quickly to emails, and adapted well to changes in the order a couple of weeks out from the wedding. Even more importantly, the cake was incredible! We got unbelievably good feedback from guests, many of whom did not even realize that it was vegan. We also got some great cookies, but the cake definitely was the highlight of the dessert table. We would definitely recommend Pattycakes for a vegan wedding cake!

Pattycake has always been my spouse and I's go to place for birthday cakes or a sweet treat for any occasion, so it was only natural that we asked them to do our wedding cake last September. We got so many compliments on how great the cake was! Pattycake's staff communicated extremely well, everything was exactly as we'd asked, and everything was very timely. My son wanted me to stop by this bakery the other day on the way back from his wisdom teeth removal surgery. Eating meals together has become a problem because he is a true 100% Vegan and I am not. I love 🥓, etc. Upon leaving surgery center the nurse advised only very very soft foods that day. He immediately garbled something that sounded like, PATTYCAKE BAKERY" and blueberry muffins. I went in while he stayed in the car and relaxed. Upon entering I got a warm fuzzy feeling, it smelled so good and the goodie displays and their merchandise displays are adorable. The whole place is immaculate. My son wanted the MARRY ME BLUEBERRY MUFFINS and I picked a slice of the chocolate deluxe cake with Lavender icing. I cannot explain to you how amazing everything tasted. I did not expect any VEGAN desserts could be anything more than ok. That cake was the best I've had in I don't know how long. The icing was unforgettable. I don't know of any VEGAN bakery's in Cincinnati. So I know I will definitely be preordering cakes, pies, etc for him to bring home for Thanksgiving. I so wish I could visit their location! I had their gluten free and vegan cookies at Stauf's Coffee in North Market, but I just had to leave a review here as well! Gluten free and vegan goodies are hard to come by, let alone taste amazing! Chocolate chip, hemp flax granola, and ginger spice were the selection and each were so tasty in their own way. So happy to find these!

We had Pattycake for our wedding desserts, and the desserts were amazing!! We had a little cutting cake that was chocolate cake and peanut butter frosting, and we had cupcakes for our guests: chocolate with vanilla frosting, vanilla with vanilla frosting, pumpkin with cream cheese frosting, and coffee cake with caramel frosting. The cutting cake was so cute (our florist added some leftover flowers to the cake). Everyone was so pleased with the cupcakes and we were so happy that they were vegan and cruelty free 😊 We worked with Liz with planning the deserts and she was great!

There aren't many places to go for vegan pastries in Columbus, so this is a definite gem where you don't have to question anything they serve. Coming from a non-vegan, the texture and moisture level of their cake is just as good, if not better than a lot of non-vegan cakes I've had. You're not sacrificing anything here, and they have a long list of creative cake and icing flavors for you to customize with. They also serve tons of unique cookies, muffins, cinnamon rolls, and other goods. The muffins don't get the texture as well as the cakes do. There's a lot more that I look forward to exploring here. The service is also incredibly friendly. Vegan or not, I'd say Pattycake Bakery is worth your while!

I purchased several items since there was so much to choose from and I wanted it all. So far I've tried the chocolate lavender cupcake and it was absolutely delicious. I'm sure everything else will be just as tasty.The atmosphere is so light and bright, and adorably decorated. This place seems to be a hit with all customers going in and out, which is nice to see happen with a vegan bakery.

I have driven past this bakery many times on my Amazon route delivering packages in the clintonville area and alway said yuck, vegan cakes? Without even trying it. My daughter has developed a dairy allergy and has also become a vegetarian. Her birthday was on Thursday and I totally forgot to find a cake. I remembered this place so i called them and they said c'mon down, we have 4 different flavors and other pastries as well. I went down there immediately from delaware and to my surprise they had my favorite peanut butter cookies, and "Whoopie Pies" OMG they were delicious and the cake was out of this world. The staff was super sweet and helpful and this is definitely my go to spot when I want some delicious baked goods. I highly recommend Pattycake Bakery for all your special events and sinful confectionary pleasures.

We stopped here on our way back home. We grabbed a decent selection of treats, which were all very delicious. I might as go as far as saying the best vegan treats I have ever had. They have the right flavors, texture and they aren't too sweet like others are. I would move to Columbus just for these treats created by some form of sorcery. Pattycake is a solid 10 out of 5!

This is definitely the best place to get Vegan sweets! I have had many different things from them, but I would have to say a piece of Lavender cake was my favorite so far. It's a little expensive but a little goes a long way...meaning these sweets will fill you up fast. The staff is always nice here. Also they make some amazing custom cakes.

I brought a cake and loaded up on cup cakes, cookies, and muffins. It's my husband's favorite place. Jen makes most of his cakes. They always taste amazing! They have the best blueberry muffin and banana nut muffin, which are my favorite. The cake is chocolate Mocha. Isn't it beautiful? I can't wait to eat a slice.

Best cakes around, if you are vegan or not! We always order cakes from here for family birthdays and everyone loves them and comments on how great the flavors and textures are…. And sticky bun saturdays are not to be missed! They are doing order ahead and pick up only for now which is super easy and convenient but once the shop opens back up fully, the space is really adorable and the patio will be great in warmer weather. Oh and they have some gluten free options as well that are also great!!

I love this place. The staff is super friendly and their desserts are mind blowing! You'd never know they were vegan and in fact most times better than the butter and eggs version. Do yourself a favor and run there asap!!! You won't be disappointed! My personal favorites are the chocolate chip cookie, carrot cake cupcake, and moonpie.

Not only does Pattycake have an amazing compliment of delicious vegan treats, they were also able to accommodate my very last minute (read: walk-in) need for a small cake. They were even able to write a birthday message on top as I waited! These are luxuries that might be considered standard practice at more traditional bakeries, but to have this availability at a bakery serving only plant-based food is an incredibly pleasant surprise. Also: YUM!!

This place is a gem. Yes it has odd hours/days, (theyre open at 11 but make sure to check the website to confirm) If you go first thing on a saturday, be prepared to wait about 15 to 20 minutes to make it through the line to the door. This Bakery is great because they are vegan and have gluten free options as well. Yes they are fairly expensive but it is worth it considering the effort you would have to go to make the same stuff. It is a treat place for me and I like to treat my daughter there because she has dietary limitations as well. Also on those busy days parking is tight and if you have a big vehicle you may have to block part of the alley. Theyre right across the street from the entrance to park of roses. Recommend.

This is my go-to bakery for a sweet treat or a custom creation! The employees are incredibly helpful and kind, and the treats are always delicious. Plus they are worker owned and really take care of their employees. If you're looking to try the best sweets in town, I'd recommend their blueberry muffin and a chocolate cherry oat square. Also, their new location is SO cute!

They offer so many interesting flavors to choose from, so we served several, and the mint-chocolate got especially rave reviews. They said it was the best vegan brownie they've ever had. I tried a cookie, and it was insanely flavorful and had a great texture. We wanted a small cake for our wedding, and looked at several different bakeries. I’ve always loved Pattycake’s baked goods (which are entirely vegan, though you’d never guess if you didn’t know). I had a vision for what I wanted the cake to look like, and sent a lot of inspiration images and questions to Liz, the wedding coordinator. She was quick to reply and happily answered all my questions and requests, providing suggestions as needed and clarifying what I wanted. We picked up the cake the morning of the wedding to transport it ourselves to the venue (delivery can be arranged for an additional cost). It was securely packaged and survived the 30 minute drive down country roads! There were thorough storage and unboxing instructions which were easy to follow. The cake was beautiful, not to mention tasty!! For reference, we had a 4”/6” tiered cake, which is 12 generous servings! We also ordered sugar cookies for our welcome event, which were adorably decorated. Highly recommend utilizing Pattycake for your wedding or event needs!

We only make it to Columbus once a year, or less. I really like this bakery! I wanted to run in and grab some sweets to take home to the kids. Was bummed that the sign outside said pre-orders only. My wife and I got our wedding cake here and we weren't disappointed at all. The tasting went really well, and they were willing to accommodate anything we wanted to matter how non-traditional it was. We also got mini cupcakes, and our guests couldn't stop gushing about how good they were. It was especially fun to tell them they was vegan, and have them smile with indifference as they ate another one.

Absolutely fantastic customer service! I work in catering and had a customer request me to pick up specific and custom cupcakes with less than 24 hours notice, which I know is a BIG no-no. They worked with me to do the best they could with my request, and for a bakery to do that on such short notice and still make an amazing product is fantastic. Superb! Organic ingredients, vegan, some gluten free items. We ordered a variety of cookies, cakes, and a raw cheesecake between the 5 of us in my family. Everything here is vegan (which is great because my daughter and I are lactose intolerant) and they have a few gluten free items (which is great for me because I'm gluten free as well). There is something for everyone here and everything we tried was delicious! Nothing tasted "fake" at all...seriously. You don't need milk and eggs to make a dessert taste amazing. The cashier was very friendly and helpful. She knew what was in the baked goods when I asked what type of flour they used for the gf items. It's a small place, so if you're not using GPS you could miss is like we did, but we turned around and glad we did. Their prices are a bit higher, but you're paying for quality ingredients, not junk! We will be back! I can't believe we hadn't heard of them before. YUM!!

This bakery is a little out of the way from me and I had been planning to go for ages. I was disappointed. First of all the store itself is very, very small and it felt sort of cramped and not in a cozy way. I got one of their chocolate cupcakes and it was okay. I know vegan baking is difficult but still. It was dry and so was the frosting. The taste was good but I won't be driving 20 minutes for another anytime soon. Maybe their cookies are better. Another odd thing was that I didn't see any drinks on offer besides the ones in their refrigerator. I was hoping for a coffee or tea. One nice thing was the parking is right in front, no meter! It is a bit tricky to get out though so be careful.

There are a lot of bakeries out there, a dime a dozen, but this place is special. I have tried the muffins and the cookies and they are exceptional. At first glance I was sticker shocked a little bit because of the price, but once I tasted the product I was happy to pay that price. The muffins and cookies are plentiful in size and they have a taste that is much more expensive then they actually are. I highly recommend this place. And if the products I have tried are any indication of their other products then this is the place to buy all your baked needs.

Very high quality, baked goods owned as a co-op. It's so nice to have vegan options for dessert run by people who have mindful business practices beyond good taste. Their sweet treats are also at local spots which they deliver by bike on an adorable (and surprisingly large) cart. The quads you must need to power that bike! Keep the cookies coming!

I love this place!!! Seating is very limited but maaaannn do they know how to make good pastries! I highly recommend their iced cookies and muffins. They're a hit. The staff are helpful and delightful to talk to. I can't wait to go again! Perfect place for a casual meetup with friends or significant other. My son has an egg allergy and we found pattycake bakery so he could enjoy birthdays and treats with us, but honestly, even if no one in our family had an allergy I would still buy all our sweets here. They have the best cupcakes, cakes, and cookies I have ever had, and their flavor options are amazing. They are also extremely helpful and accommodating. Recently I had a smash cake order for a Sunday and we ended up moving the pictures to Friday. I called at 1pm and they had my beautiful cake ready for me by 5pm! I cannot more highly recommend this place!!

I've only been there once (so far!) but A+. Amazing. Truly. I'm pretty decent at vegan baking, but this is taking it to a higher level. Way better than any non-vegan baked goods I've ever eaten. I spent 20$ or so (which lasted me and my s/o about 2 days, even though we ate a lot of it in the car) but I think I definitely got my moneys worth. I had this amazing lavender lemon cake (very aesthetically pleasing) and then it proceeded to stay moist through the car trip, being left in the car (in the heat) for a few hours, and then overnight.

Some of the most expensive vegan baked goods I've encountered around the world and not even in my top ten taste-wise. Hostess cupcake was good, but the cookies were underwhelming. Best treat was the peanut butter/chocolate, but they do melt quickly so you have to eat them quick.

Good dessert. Cheesecake was mediocre. Lemon and caramel cupcakes were awesome. I got these gluten and dairy free and they were just as good if not better than regular cupcakes. As with any specialty food products be prepared to pay more for stuff.

I tried this bakery on a whim on a rainy day in Columbus, getting a variety of cookies to share with my family. For bakery cookies I thought they were lackluster. I was surprised by that, considering the stickers of accolades in the shop. So I Googled the bakery and learned I had eaten vegan cookies. As stand alone baked goods, they were nothing to write home about. But if you're in the world of vegan, gluten free or other such limitations, I'd recommend them. If you can't tell the difference between vegan and a regular cookie, you've won the battle, not the war. I could tell the difference, hence the 3 stars. All the cookies were eaten and enjoyed. But sweet cream butter is so damn delicious there is simply no substitute and the palate knows when it's missing.

If you go to Pattycake, expect to make tough decisions. Everything is so amazing, you'll have trouble deciding what to get. Seeing the cake of the day on Instagram might pull you in at first (my favorite is French toast), but more often than not you'll find yourself drawn to any number of cookies, cupcakes, or whoopee pies. They've got plenty of gluten free options and even a rewards program! I love this place.

I've tried a lot of items, but love the buckeye bars the most. For cakes/cupcakes, the icing is better than most bakeries but only if you like heavy/rich desserts. Items are best if eaten the same day, but can be a bit dry the next. Usually keep refrigerated.

Pattycake is a lifesaver for vegans and a delight for non-vegans as well. If you can make it to the bakery, their fresh-out-of-the-oven cookies will make you feel dreamy. Some of the best cakes I've ever had have come from this bakery. Prices aren't cheap, but I don't think it's more than other boutique-style bakeries, and I've never felt it wasn't worth it.

This bakery has the best cookies in Columbus. Get the I heart Chocolate chip cookies, or the classic tollhouse cookies. While everything they make is vegan, there is zero compromise on the taste. You would never know their baked goods were vegan if someone didn't tell you. They also have cupcakes, brownies, pies, cakes, whoopie pies, small batch granola, and seasonal cookie trays. The cookie prices may seem a bit high, but trust me one cookie is very filling. The cookies are great for bringing into work to impress your co-workers. They are a lot better than Cheryl's cookies.

This is a local hotspot for us. Small bakery that has daily offerings of a variety of cookies, cupcakes, whoopie pies, muffins and cake by the slice. They offer several unique flavors and the traditional ones. I've managed to pick up last minute cakes and I've also arranged to pick up a personalized one, each time was terrific. They specialize in vegan so you will notice a slight difference in the density of the cakes, but they're very tasty and very rich. My usual drop by choice is a snickerdoodle cookie and the classic tollhouse cookie, because you can't have just one!

As a Veg with a major sweet tooth, I am addicted to the 'Lovely Lemon Cupcakes' here!!! The 'Seriously Good Chocolate Cupcakes' are equally as good. I do wish that the Tollhouse cookies were a little less crunchy, though and more gooey. I've tried the cinnamon rolls and those are awesome. I even gifted an Omnivore friend with pattycake's Chocolate cake with Peanut butter mousse; and also a sugar cut-out cookie. And they thought it was absolutely delicious. It would be amazing if one day pattycake could expand into a cafe and bakery! And have coffee and tea and more seating. But as of now I am still very impressed with pattycake! Quick service too! :)

The whoopie pies are their specialty and not to be missed. Chances are when you go to this place you'll be walking out with a lot more than you intended because it all tastes so good.
