So the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the older rude man who answered the phone was nasty I guess was the owner, but I went in there was a older lady with a short cut and a young guy with braids was ready to serve me and made my day , from me just leaving the hospital 🏥 he made my sandwich perfect! All the veggies was fresh! And the pickle was huge ! I loved the food and the service I got from these 2 ! Keep up the GOOD WORK ! And owner/mean guy , take a vacation!

Great deli! Got the Lox and one egg with jalapeño cream cheese on an everything bagel along with Latkes. The bagels and lox were fresh and very tasty. If you like spicy food the jalapeño cream cheese is a must. The Latkes were very good as well and large. Lots of options for everyone. Will be visiting this place again. If you are going in for a sandwich be ready to wait as everything is made to order.

Blocks is delicious. Don't expect fancy, but if you want a delicious deli style sandwich or bakery goodies this is a great stop. The menus have been around forever and are complex as they have been changed and added to over the years. It may take a few extra minutes but they will make pretty much whatever you want. I highly recommend any of the bagels, and I adore the tuna melt on an everything bagel...so good. Ask to have the tomato under the cheese...its perfect! Also highly recommend the chicken salad. Oh and if you're a pickle fan definitely don't pass on the pickle...it is delicious!

Always good food here. You get an authentic New York Bakery and Deli field when you go to Blocks. The staff there is friendly and will chat with you. Everything I've ever had there has been good so far. The pastrami sandwich I had though was great. They have a good reputation for a reason.

Bagels are consistently excellent. Recently, Blocks catered an event I was holding. Angie was very helpful (and patient) in working with me to tailor my order. Also, the order was delivered (to Worthington) by the early morning time they promised. I was very happy with the food and service.

I love a good bagel and cream cheese and they have it here! And they do not skimp on the cream cheese! Great bagel and cream cheese flavors! The coffee and the service is good too. Love the pickle that comes along with the bagel, it’s delish. Haven’t tried other items on the menu, but it’s packed with lots of good looking stuff and a nice salad bar! I’m new to the area and I can see this becoming a regular spot for me for sure.

This is the place you want to go for bagels. I hear the deli side is good too, but the bagels are where it's at, and they have great rye bread too. Only downside is that the owner has bad vibes sometimes, but it's worth dealing with him for the food.

Block's has the best bagels in town, best breakfast in town, best employees in town, best everything. Their food is so delicious I have to stop myself from going more than once a week because I could happily eat every meal there. Personal favorite is lox and cream cheese with an egg. Their portion sizes are HUGE and I always end up saving half my sandwich for later. You can not go wrong with Block's.

This place is absolutely amazing for breakfast or lunch! Usually get onion bagel w/ olive spread for breakfast. Have had numerous sandwiches (reuben, chicken salad, Blocks Sub) for lunch. The pastries and cookies are on point also. The staff and owner are always helpful and just present a great atmosphere. I wouldn't go anywhere else for bagel or deli needs.

Food tastes great, and the staff was so amazing. Cant wait to visit again. Got a tuna on an everything bagel and my son got pizza on a blueberry bagel that was oddly good! Cookies were stale but would give them another try.

Got the lox and eggs with a bagel. Very fresh and delicious. Eggs were seasoned which was unexpected but nice! No need for any extra salt or pepper. Lox was perfectly chewy but also firm somehow. Great textures. Sesame bagel was great as always. Also came with a pickle.

Best place to get bagels in Columbus (that we’ve found so far.) Block’s bagels have a good exterior and chew to them, not like the dinner rolls with holes in them that are typically sold as “bagels” in the Midwest. Bonus points for the super retro signage and interior. The bagels themselves are kosher, but the deli side of the operation (prepared foods, sandwiches and such,) appears not to be.

As a former New Yorker this place is the real deal. If you aren't a regular you'll quickly realize that most of the other customers are regulars. The staff knows them by name and asks about their family. This place is an institution.

Absolutely love this place I have been coming here for many many years and will continue to do so as long as it's open and I'm around. I wish I lived closer so I could come here everyday. The workers are always very sweet and willing to help. I highly recommend this place if you want a really great bagel and cream cheese definitely go to blocks!! You should really try the chicken salad it is amazing as well.

I've reviewed this place before! Only my 2nd time there and I was very pleased. I work at the True North Shell and I can smell the bagels right around 5:30 so it enticed me! I love blocks and I don’t get to go much. It’s been a few years and those years have apparently been harsh on you. This place a failing and won’t be around much longer if they don’t act now. 1- it’s filthy. The blinds and windowsills are disgusting. Beyond cleanable, needs replaced. Get rid of the dusty rocks and just cap that thing. Needs a deep clean, steamer would help. I can tell the tables and seats are wiped down and a quick mop. Burn that high chair, it’s nasty. Get a plastic one you can sanitize. The 40 and under crowd will not be attracted here. Update a bit or get left behind. It doesn’t matter how good your food is. There are so many bakeries and delis popping up everywhere, you have to keep up. Good luck

Great customer service at this location. Delicious Food, plenty of cream cheese on the bagels. I ordered fried eggs and were given Scrambled but Jack offered to fix it for me but I declined and my Scrambled eggs were delicious, my fiance had a chicken sandwich & it smelled and looked delicious (I'm vegetarian) 😋 Everyone was pleasant but Jack was extraordinary, he should be a trainer as far as the customer service standards go. Great Job, keep up the great work. 🥰

Me & my fiance Kyle went to Block's Bagels for the first time which it is just up the street from us. I got french toast with sunny side up egg with a bagel. I didn't care for their bagel with cream cheese (not a fan) but I will go back to get their french toast & egg! (So yummy!) I recommend this place since I plan to go back again!

I go to Block’s strictly for the bagels and bread. While I have had lunch there a few times, but not in the past three years so I don’t want to give a review of that. Block’s definitely has the best bagels and breads in Columbus. If theres anyplace better I sure haven’t heard of it. They have a great selection of bagels and breads as well as some common deli items. If you are looking for superior bagels, Block’s should be on your list.

Had to buy a big order for a luncheon following a funeral. I ordered a small breakfast sandwich for me and a friend and was able to sit and have breakfast while they put my big order together. Let me sit and eat and just payed when I was done eating! Awesome morning staff!

There was an Older Lady (I say Older only because the other 2 were young)working But I tell ya, She had the Nicest, Sweetest Personality, Talk to you, joke around all while she was OVERLOADED it was quite busy, one girl went to break, the other real young one didn't have a care in the World that it got so busy, I only seen her 2 times, she'd go in the back and leave this Lady out by herself. She explained EVERYTHING to me, how it worked, where everything was, and if I didn't see what I wanted just ask and she would make it up fresh in the back for me. You're not going here for the atmosphere. You're going for the bagels being made fresh in front of you, and the amazing (!) scallion cream cheese. If you order your bagel toasted with cream cheese, expect about half a cup on your bagel. Prices are super reasonable, quality is excellent and they also have a surprisingly solid salad bar. The bagels freeze well - slice them first

First time being here and they had tons of choices in bagels. I also got what I typically buy and that's an everything bagel toasted with plain cream cheese. I thought it was a good bagel, seasoning on both sides, but not the greatest bagel. Still I'd go again to try other bagels and other cream cheeses. They really slather on the cream cheese.

A friend suggested we eat here and up until then I hadn't found a deli/bakery place in Columbus that was as good as the places in Cleveland where I grew up. The foods good and comforting. Prices are super affordable too and you get so much food for the price.

Bagels are excellent. However, I was the ONLY person in line for bagels, and despite asking for assistance and also asking if I was in the right spot to get bagels, I was consistently ignored and/or told "be with you in just a minute". They were NOT busy. 25 min to get a dozen bagels in a box with 1 container of cream cheese had me leaving SERIOUSLY angry. 1 star for service, but those bagels are delicious.

Amazing bagels. More cream cheese flavors then you can imagine. Usually a great staff, but every once in a while you get someone who is just "eh", but it's certainly never anything so bad you'd never want to go back. Been going my whole life and I just love it. My mom and my brother have both moved away from Columbus. I take a dozen bagels to my mom every time I visit her in Cleveland, and for Christmas this past year I shipped a dozen to my brother in Philadelphia.

I have never had a bad experience at Blocks Bagels. I grew up on them and stop by whenever I am in the neighborhood. They have wonderful spreads such as tuna and chicken salad as well as Pizza Bagels and deli meats to choose from. I usually grab about a dozen mix Bagels and none go to waste. Too good not to enjoy!

Block's does have the best authentic East coast style bagels in Central Ohio. They have a wide variety from which to choose, but my favorites are the Egg Everything bagels & Black Russians. They also make sandwiches here and they are generous in portion. Prices are reasonable, but be sure to visit early in the day for the freshest and widest selection.

It's not a fancy or elaborate place, but that's a good thing. They focus on what they're good at, making great bagels, and great food in general. They keep it simple, and do it so well. If you haven't been, you should, immediately. It's one of my most favorite places in Columbus.

I love Blocks! Their bagels and black and white cookies are SO good, easily my favorite ones in town. They also have tons of amazing other things to eat! I cant eat pork due to an allergy/intolerance and since it’s kosher I can eat anything without having to substitute, worry, or double check my food for pork!

Block's Bagels is pretty rad. Food is great and clean. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Try their pastrami. Seriously. The only reason this review is 3 stars instead of four: It is difficult to tip the staff unless you have cash. As a general rule, I don't carry cash on my person, and for some reason there's no way to tip on a card. I'm a huge proponent of the concept "Take care of the people who take care of you", and being unable to do that drives me up a wall. So... Bring a little cash if you can.

Best bagels in town made the traditional way. They will prepare it anyway with a ton of condiments and meats. Imagine chipotle, but better. Great pricing for NYC deli style sandwich too.

Love this place. So many fantastic choices. Great for staying for lunch or just picking up amazing fresh bagels and cream cheese. People are friendly and they know what they are doing. They handle a rush like pros. The menu is large. Check it out online before going. And certainly take some bagels home after you have one of their fantastic sandwiches for lunch. This place does not disappoint.

The only true Jewish deli on the east side. With decades of pride and expertise in their family business. Home made Bagels and even sell them to other stores and restaurants. Delicious sandwich and salad selection. Soups and spreads. Generous portions. High-quality ingredients in their deli meats, smoked salmon, salads, and spreads. I stopped in on the way to work this morning. The Bruegger's close to work closed a while back and I've been buying from the local grocery store across the street. I have a thing for Everything Bagel's. And even though bagel's are in effect giant sugar pills for me, I continue to consume them in moderation. As I said, I have a thing. Anyway, the bagel's are very good. On an Everything Bagel the Everything stuff should be applied equally on both sides and it was. But it was the service that I loved. They ran them through the toaster twice for that extra toasting and then gave me a generously perfect amount of cream cheese which I requested they cut in half and then spread on both sides of the sliced bagel. I'll be back.

While the product was great the customer service was awful! I placed an order by phone the day before on 6/13/17 because I was coming in from out of town and bringing bagels to work the next day. A friend of mine recommended this location so I went with them. When I picked up the order the next morning, I wasn't greeted when I came in. It was minutes after opening and there were only three people in the store two of which were already serviced so it wasn't like they were busy. They young lady behind the counter made eye contact and walked around the corner and just stood there looking away from me so I stood by the register and waited to see if she was going to come back. After about 5 minutes I had to ask to be helped and that seemed like I was bothering her. After she rang me out she didn't even ask me if I needed anything else she just walked away. I checked my order and noticed that my cream cheese wasn't labeled (I ordered three different kinds how was I supposed to tell them apart???). So I had to ask for assistance with that. Their bagels are good but I would strongly recommend customer service training!!!!

These are the best bagels in the state!!! Every time I am in the area, I stop by to get food. The service is a little slow but it is because every employee takes their time to make sure that your food is exactly the way you ordered it. The food is worth the wait.

I've been coming to this location since the early 200's because the owner's and the food have always been great!! However, the past couple of month's the customer service has gone down. I've noticed other's being ignored by the young staff in front. Then, as I was paying with cash - which I normally pay with card. The young lady whom rang me out told me that "people who pay with cash don't gets receipts". This was after I had asked for my receipt. Now, either this is just her being an are , being lazy or just trying to steal from the business that employs her and pays her hourly. Hmmm I wonder....
