An absolutely amazing and unique bakery that I would not have expected to find in Ohio! Everything was delicious and I recommend being ready right when they open as it seems popular and stuff goes quick (but I will say they seemed to keep every item well stocked). Hard to pick a favorite, but the MELON BREAD is a must in any variation. It is so fluffy but with the crust of a sugar cookie and dough that takes just like cookie dough. So yum and just melts in your mouth.

One of the best bakeries in Columbus. Their drinks and soft serves are awesome. The buns are always fresh and the refrigerated items are always spot on. Prices are reasonable and service is always friendly.

If you're like me and not super familiar with Japanese baked goods, this place will have you lost (in a good way) and super intrigued. There's a section full of cakes, sweet rolls, pastries, etc. that attracts a lot of fans and pre-orders, but I haven't ventured much into it (yet). I've explored the "bread" section and don't think I'll ever forget their heavenly matcha roll; it was a perfectly buttery and earthy loaf of bread that could easily stand alone. Their curry & egg donut was excellent and unlike anything I've had before. I also tried a spicy tuna (roll/bun?) that had a delicious, unexpected punch to the mouth with heat and great flavor. Savory pastries are plentiful and I'm sure there's much more great things to uncover here. 10/10 would recommend exploring Belle's Bread!

Got a bun with Japanese curry and egg in it. Was absolutely delicious and full of flavour. It was a perfect balance of sweet and savory with the bread being soft which made it apparent it was fresh. Got a milk tea to drink which tasted about like what you'd expect from milk tea. The staff are incredibly friendly and lovely as well! Very much recommend visiting here!

This is our favorite bakery in Columbus. We’ve tried most of the desserts and they are all amazing. We always get their cakes for special events and celebrations. My favorites are the seasonal blueberry cheesecake, the strawberry cake, the chocolate cake, the raspberry mousse, and the chocolate/strawberry danish. As you can see it’s hard to choose. The danishes are perfectly flaky and the cakes are light and airy. They also have good One Line coffee drinks, ice cream, and crepes. I’m always impressed that things are always well stocked throughout the day, despite them always being busy. The staff is always efficient and friendly.

Belle’s Bakery is a fabulous bakery for sweet and savory items. Their bread is tender and delicious. Their pastries are just the right crisp to crumbly. The cakes are sweet without being too sweet. They make crepes on site and fill with your choice of filling. This time my daughter had cookies and cream. She prefers the strawberry one, but both were very good. My daughter’s favorite thing to get is a lemon soda float, but the lemon soda is seasonal and it’s gone for now. My daughter is super disappointed (me too as I drove almost 40 minutes to get this soda!). That said their drinks are as good as their breads - never too sweet. The lemon cake is very nice. As is the strawberry cake. I really love their almond crisp cookies. So very thin, filled with sliced almonds, and just a touch sweet. Some might say it isn’t sweet enough, but these were perfect. This place alone is worth the drive for us, but when you pair it with nearby Tensuke Market it’s absolutely worth every minute.

Belle's Bread is one of my favorite places in Columbus. My most recent visit was to pickup pre-ordered cakes on Christmas Eve. There was a long line but it moved relatively quickly. The cakes received rave reviews at the party. Both cakes were fluffy and had delicious icing. While waiting in line I also grabbed a couple of to-go sandwiches. I got egg salad for myself and a pork cutlet sandwich for my dad. In summation, Belle's Bread is well worth the trip.

What an amazing experience! Trying these unique treats was such a pleasure! I am a huge fan of matcha flavored ice cream and you just don’t find that around here much! I got the matcha soft serve and I tried the bear roll filled with strawberry buttercream , it was so yummy! Almost to cute to eat! Wish I didn’t live so far away!

I love this place. The earlier you get there the more selection there will be. On the weekends you can also get crepes! I love the handheld style. My top three favorites baked goods from this place are the almost croissant, raspberry mousse cake, and the crepes. However, all of it is spectacular!

This is such a special and amazing place. The buns and donuts are beautiful and delicious. I was recommended the lemonade soda which I have never had before, it was tangy and sour (and I have been looking for a good sour treat for a while now!) and did not disappoint. Everything in the bakery is fresh, and it is not served if it not up to a good standard. They are kind and I love coming here when I am in the Columbus area.

Really unique items to choose from, SO MANY OPTIONS! We went on a Sunday in February and it was jam packed. We waited a very long time in line. Probably 20 mins after ordering which took at least 15 just to get there. Was it worth it? Eh. I really enjoyed the drink I got but if you are not gifted with the virtue of patience, go on a weekday.

The items offered here are unique to this shop. They taste delicious to me. However, from a service point of view, it's not quite the same. I remember when the staff here were so friendly and inviting. Some of them don't seem to be here anymore and the atmosphere has changed. It's still ok. Just not what it used to be. AMAZING Japanese bakery!! It's such a delightful find when we visited Columbus last weekend. So good, we'll come back often from Cincinnati. Love the mango mousse and tiramisu cake, so creamy and full of flavor, yet very light and not overly sweet. The chocolate croissant and almond croissant taste as good as ones I had in Tokyo and Paris. The matcha soft serve ice cream, matcha latte, the custard/cream bread also must try. The staffs are friendly and helpful and very efficient. Can't wait to visit again!

Absolutely love belle's and anytime me or my roommate visit without the other we get scandalized if we don't get something for the other lol. The pastries are always fresh and refilled quickly and even when there's a line they get through it quickly. I always have good interactions with the employees and just an all around good time.

I love this shop. The staff is super helpful, it isn’t over crowded and they stock the bread constantly as it empties (at-least when I was there before noon)! I will be visiting here again because I would like to try more of the other pastries and such that I didn’t get to get while I was there.

Very cute local bakery that has an impressive diversity of breads, cookies, cakes, and even drinks. The items sell out quickly as many repeat customers buy their favorites in bulk. I bought a large assortment and look forward to eating them slowly; cute, simple packaging reminiscent of Japan. Service is kind and swift. I recently ate the strawberry cake and it fell below my expectations as the cake wasn’t sponge cake as most typically are, but the sweetness was less sugary so it was still enjoyable. Looking forward the most to the matcha roll cake and the shortbread cookies. It’s a bit pricey, but in this area you won’t find more authentic!

Every one of their pastries looked absolutely perfect and delicious. They had both sweet and savory options and the flavors were so well balanced. I love cakes of Bell's Bread. Tastes of desserts are way close to the ones that Japanese and Korean like. They are seving various types of desserts like cakes, breads, bakeries and kinds of ice creams. I tried cakes, bakeries, ice cream, and few other things. One thing I felt litttle lack of cakes, outside part of cakes was dry sometimes. Not all the times, but it's like 2-3 times of 10 visits. I understand this as they need to keep the stocks. And, I believe this part will not be applied to personal ordered cakes. In spite of it, I like Bell's Bread desserts!!🤍

Lovely bakery, a hidden gem. It's in a corner not visible from the get go. They have french pastries like fruit tarts and danishes. They make specialized cakes. Their online ordering website is great. They also have sliced bread that is fluffy and soft. Buns filled with bean or curry paste or chocolate. Lovely cakes, artistic, clean, fluffy, light. They also have ice cream I didn't try. Their prices are on the high side so a single danish is about 4$, a single fruit tart 3-4$. The cakes are on the small side so if you are used to eating multiple servings or larger portions you may want to go for a larger size.

Cannot say enough about what a treat it was to see a bakery like this in the US. Nothing quite like this in Pittsburgh. We picked up the melon bread, red bean bread, strawberry cake, chocolate cake, and cream puff. I actually brought a cooler with me to make sure the treats stayed fresh. What an incredible experience! From the moment we walked in we were in awe. The desserts are so beautiful and obviously made with great care. Our family decided to sample/share 4 treats. The strawberry cake was the lightest cake Ive ever had in my life. It melts in your mouth and the strawberries were a deep beautiful red and delicious. Perfect. The white chocolate raspberry mousse was delicate but bursting with flavor. The baked cheesecake was spongy and moist and the crust was almost like a graham cracker cake. The tiramisu had wonderful espresso flavor and a perfect balance of flavors. The employees were all very polite and helpful and the eating area was exceptionally clean. We will return everytime we are in the area!

This is a great place to go if you want to experience authentic Japanese bakery. The cakes and rolls aren't overly sweet as you experience in the normal USA. They have a great range of breads to choose from, as well as very tasty crepes. Other great offerings are their drinks, wide selection of cold and hot drinks, especially with matcha options. Service is excellent. Very courteous and responsive to your needs as a customer.

Best Asian bakery ever!! Their pastries are delectable, they offer a variety of Shoku pan, and the cakes are the best in town. Their coffee is from Stauffs, which is the best in Columbus, in my opinion, and I love to get a green tea soft serve affogato (ice cream with espresso shot), which is the perfect balance of bittersweet, creamy goodness. Their menu tends to change over time, so the latest is a delicious offering of dessert or meal crepes, and amazing Japanese style parfaits. I would argue that their cream puffs, especially the matcha cream puff (which is loaded with rich matcha flavor, and balanced with a hint of sweet azuki), are even better than Japan, or the Bearded Papas in big cities. I have been a frequenter at Belles from their beginning.

Quite a busy place with fusion of Japanese and Italian desserts and savoury items. Tried their tiramisu, mango mouse cake slices and almond caramel roll. Both the cakes were moist and just melted in my mouth, perfection. I got the ghirardelli hot chocolate, it was alright. There are About 10 tables which seats 30-40 people. Clean and tidy. Service was prompt and friendly. Would love to come back and try other variations.

I absolutely love Belle's Bread. The fresh daily made pastries and sandwiches are delicious and light. The ambiance of the cafe is also very comfortable and makes for a great spot to study or work. They also offer what I consider to be the best cakes in Columbus. Some highlights from Belle's are their Green Tea Soft Serve Ice Cream, Tiramisu, Taro Bun, and Smoked Salmon Sandwich. Belle's Bread also serves coffee from Stauf's, a acclaimed local coffee shop. Combine the great food with the lovely staff and you have one of the best cafe/bakeries in all of Columbus.

I love Belle's bread for their unique breads and matcha soft serve! You can get Japanese bakery items here for a pretty good price, ~$2.00-$6.00 per item, they also have cake slices ~4.00, coffee, tea, macarons, sandwiches, shaved ice, crepes, whole cakes, and other items. Staff is really friendly and helpful! I like walking around to other shops as well, but this shop is one of my favorite shops and is tasty! I recommend coming here alone to work, with friends, with family, bring kids, or a casual date. I really like their matcha soft serve and butter cream bread! They have their main dining room and a community room, that has extra tables, so there's plenty of places to sit! There's a bathroom available and WiFi. I come here and do work sometimes and you have to get the WiFi password through a purchase. There are two free parking lots available, so don't fret about parking. I enjoy the atmosphere and their products!

Belle’s Bread is a real treasure, especially for Central Ohio. It is a lovely Japanese French-style bakery. The treats they sell taste good and look gorgeous. They sell sweet and savory pastries, my favorite are the strawberry cream filled bun bears. They also sell cakes, crepes, soft serve, and finger sandwiches. I was slightly disappointed that the last time I ordered my boyfriend’s birthday cake from them the custom “Happy Birthday (name)!” lettering was smudged & illegible.

Belle's will always be a 5-star for me because of their cakes, which are the main draw. If you like desserts that are a little lighter, a little less sweet, and incorporate Asian flavors like green tea and red bean, there's no better spot in Columbus, maybe all of Ohio. That being said, I am definitely disappointed that they did away with their old cafe menu in favor of crepes. The crepes are not bad, but I miss my omuraisu :(

For all of my Otaku, weeaboo, or just fans of Japanese culture... if you've seen one too many animes (by anyone's standards) or see yourself living in a world you've seen in manga, you'll be in heaven here. It's just like they plucked a bakery out of Japan. I took way too many pictures and yet not enough and CERTAINLY did not bring enough money. I wanted to try one of every baked item, but had to satisfy myself with a curry bread and some Calpico (not sure I'm spelling that right). We definitely HAVE to go again.

This place is the ONLY Japanese bakery in Columbus/Dublin Ohio that legitimately feels like you're buying genuine Japanese deserts! - Melon Pan, Red bean pan, Japanese cheese cakes! I've been to Japan several times in the past (and plan to again in the future), the deserts here just get me that nostalgic feeling of being back there and enjoying the food and everything. "Natsukashii" is the perfect Japanese word I would use to describe getting deserts here. 100% recommend this for any bread lover!

They have a little market where you can buy that day's fresh bashed goods; rolls, breads, sweets, etc. As well as a café to order in; crepes, lattes, ice creams, etc. They make everything from curry doughnuts, fruit tarts, salmon crepes, Mont Blanc rolls, and much, much more. 10/10

I mean what is there to say that hasn't been said? Belle's is the absolute best, the baked goods are so delicious and well done. Every time I've gone there's been a line but they move quite fast and the staff is so pleasant. Before Covid There used to be a lobby and double the amount of staff. The staff also used to be a lot more happy and gave a different atmosphere. Also they used to add seasonal special bakeries. Now post COVID era has no lobby and staff seems to have lower Morale than before. Pastries never change and it’s a get in and get out. Can we blame them? Probably not because of how hard it was for businesses to survive this shaky economy. It’s still better than your average bakery in Columbus so I will leave 5 star because they are still consistent in quality.

One of my favorite bakeries in the Columbus area, I don't think I've had a single thing there that I didn't like. I highly recommend going over the weekend so you can get a crepe (strawberry banana with chocolate sauce is the best). It's a cozy shop, especially when seating is available, but who knows when that will be possible again with covid still happening. My other suggestions would be any of their danishes, the strawberry bear bun or the Nutella cat bun, or the lemon cake. If you want to see their whole selection going earlier in the day is optimal because they do sell out of some of their best things fast !

The pastries and breads are fantastic and they have a unique variety with new things coming and going at times. They have savory and sweet options that are both awesome. Since we usually go early they have never been sold out of what we are looking for. The cakes (which we have tried nearly all of) are very good but know that it is a different style and taste of cake which is uniquely delicious and not overly sweet. We almost always get coffee and they have so many options and make great tasting drinks, both hot and cold. The entire Japanese Marketplace is our favorite place in Columbus, period!

Belle's was recommended to me while in Columbus .This is a pâtisserie like you'd find in France or Belgium. Maybe not as extensive as some, but this items I chose (four to have a nice selection) were beautiful but more important delicious: light, not too sweet, perfect serving size and yet big enough to share too. Belle's Bread has consistently been amazing throughout the years since they've opened. The interior is very stylish and all the food and drinks are both beautifully made/presented and delicious. I can't wait until they can start serving their crepes again, but in the meantime I love that they started selling boxes of assorted "roll ends" so you can have an easier time deciding between their many delicious rolls. If you love pastries and desserts, especially with a gentler sweetness level than typical American pastries have, then you have to stop by Belle's!

While exploring Kenny Centre Mall, I discovered Belle's Bread, French-inspired Japanese Bakery that specializes in parfaits, coffee/matcha floats, crepes, soft serve ice cream, affogato, shaved ice, cakes, assorted rolls, and baked goods. I couldn't walk out of the bakery without buying anything so I got a Heart Pie, Pain Au Chocolat, Almond Croissant, Koshi An Roll (made with Sweet Red Bean Paste), Pumpkin Danish, and Pumpkin Roll. This place is amazing and you need to go. Stop reading this and go. I promise you will not be dissapointed. Unless you don't like cakes / breads, you will love this place. The butter cream rolls and UFO bread are like nothing I have had before. The cream is amazing and the bread are light and tasty. I have also had their cakes, which may seem on the pricey side at first, but the quality is worth every penny. I have been there multiple times and there has never been an issue with quality. This is the type of business that deserves as much support as possible given it's unique and tasty offerings.

My Journey

I went out with some friends to celebrate my birthday and we happened to walk into this bakery. It is phenomenal! The bread was delicious and had quite a variety when it came to the buns. If you enjoy japanese bread then I highly recommend going here. I didn't have the pleasure of trying anything on the menu but I did buy a fruit tart. It almost looked like a highly detailed display model because it was so perfectly assembled. The price for the bread is decent being about $2 for a red bean paste bun. The cakes are a bit more though. So I would make sure you are willing to spend anywhere between $5-$10 for a mid day snack and drink. But I'm pretty sure you will spend much more because I didn't see anyone leaving with just one or two items. I alone spent $13 on two buns, a chocolate roll, a load of bread and a tart. But it was well spent. They also have ice cream and crepes! Definitely try this place out I can't not recommend it enough!

Four years ago, my now-husband stumbled upon this bakery and grabbed a few pieces of cake for him and myself. I took one bite of the strawberry cake and said "If we ever get married, this will be our wedding cake." 4 years later, it absolutely was! BEST strawberry cake I've had in my life. I don't know how they make it so light and yet so delicious! The chocolate cake is just as good, or rather, ALL of their desserts are. They have other little treats you can purchase here as well, but the strawberry cake is still, and always will be, my favorite. When our wedding coordinator asked us if we wanted to save the top of our wedding cake to freeze and eat a year later, we said no way! We go to this bakery so often anyway, we'll just grab a slice the next time we're there!

This is one of my favorite places to come for a late morning breakfast! I’ve had quite a few of their baked goods and have never been disappointed! I’m a huge fan of plain croissants and theirs are perfectly flaky while not being too dry and have a nice mildly sweet flavor. I also can’t come by without bringing home a loaf of bread or a baguette, they’re just too good to pass up. They also have a huge selection of cakes and other desserts and can decorate a cake for you if you don’t see a premade one you like. I’ve only ever had a strawberry cream cake but it was wonderful and if I ever have an occasion to buy a cake for again I’ll certainly come back. Belle's Bread is one of my favorite bakeries to visit in Columbus. I am a sucker for Japanese pastries, so I try to visit here at least once a month to satisfy my craving for red bean. The design of the bakery is very simple. There is a small area to browse with breaded pastries (that were made that day) simply packaged and ready to go home. The check out line is next to a beautiful display of chilled sweets that range in brightly, colorful desserts to simple ones that hit me with nostalgia. The staff are extremely pleasant durinf check out, and offer great advice on what to get if you're overwhelmed with all the options! They recently started making crepes, and let me tell you that they taste like heaven. Highly recommend getting one of their crepes as the ingredients are top notch.

This place has changed a lot since I was last here. It was probably, I don't know, three years ago when I got stationed in San Diego, CA. This has always been my favorite bakery, not just in Ohio but everywhere I've been. But I'm a little bit biased perhaps; I started coming here around seven years ago (I think), when I started going to Akai Hana (my favorite sushi place of all time). The bread and pastries are just too good! The atmosphere was very chill. Not to mention I have had a secret admiration for one of the people who worked here. Call it a crush. I went there for the first time in forever last Saturday. The place has gotten bigger... Well, the footprint itself doesn't seem much bigger than I remember, but it felt bigger, and it was pretty packed. I'm proud of how popular this place has gotten, and the 4.9 average review is very well-deserved! I'll be leaving for San Diego again after my leave, but no doubt I'll stop by here on my way to the airport. If you are in the area, make sure you stop by a grab a snack! You will love it here. Side note, my crush wasn't there last I visited. Maybe next time.

Belle's bread is my FAVORITE shop in the Columbus area! I have never had a pastry I did not like from here. This is a "French by way of Japan" Japanese bakery which makes a great variety of desserts, breads, and Cafe items. All of the bakery items are excellently made, impeccably styled, and fantastically delicious. You can try green tea and or other breads, pastries of all flavors sweet and savory, fluffy croissants, creamy puddings, tiramisu, fantastic macarons in flavors like rose, Earl grey, passion fruit, or lemon, fluffy cakes, roll cakes, fruit tarts, or ice creams. The items are not overly sweet so the flavors are very well balances. I can't wait to go back!

My friend introduced this place to me, and I just love it so much! I still remember I was only visiting Columbus for a weekend, and I came here twice just for their bread. There are a lot of variety. I love Japanese style bread, because they look fancy and taste really good. It is also a cafe. Coffee, omelette,etc.. I heard their green tea ice-cream is pretty good too (though I haven't tried). If I live in Columbus, I will come to this place every week.

They also have a cafe with meal options, coffee, teas, abs soft serve. It's a good place to stop for a snack or a meal. Some of their food is seasonal too, so you can look forward to something different every time. Staff members are always super nice and the place is always clean. There is also a community room you can rent out for bigger groups.

Belle's Bread is my go-to place for studying. They have affordable treats, lattes, and pastries. And most importantly, everything tastes great! The desserts are perfect because they are perfectly sweetened and light at the same time. I think the desserts at this bakery and much better than most bakeries in Columbus. The reason this bakery gets 4 starts instead of 5 is because I don't feel as welcome as I do at other coffee shops like Starbucks. It would be great if someone genuinely asked me "how are you doing today?". Its always those little things that often make a lasting impression on a customer.

Not your average bakery! Belle's has a large variety of treats and they taste as beautiful as they look. The cakes in the case are wonderful, but the items on the bun table are my favorite. Do not miss the choco coronet, a cone shaped brioche-like dough filled with an amazingly rich and fudgy cream filling. They also have a lovely selection of bread. If you're lucky enough to be there when they have the croissant loaf make sure you scoop one up. Going late in the day can be a bad idea, as they sell out of many of the items. So get there early and try as much as you can.

Walking in I was immediately surprised by such a long line, but the bakery has a small area with shelves of pre baked goodies wrapped and ready to go, so it made things very easy. My new favorite dessert? The Nutella Kitty! Simple, cute, and delicious. I wish I had known what goodness awaited me, definitely do not underestimate the power of the bread! I now understand the regulars sweeping through the store with trays piled high of buns and loaves. A true gem.

I love savory pastries lol. They also have a cafe that will make some food items like crepes. The green tea latte and frozen matcha self serve are my favorites .... Wifey likes the chocolate cake and regular latte because it is Japanese sweet and not American super sweet..... I wish they still had their community room where you could reserve the room. I wish i could give a 4.8 or 4.9, because everything is delicious, but (as with any French or part-French restaurant/ bakery) it's incredibly difficult to eat here if you have food allergies. There are usually 1-2 options if you have mild egg/but allergies, but those options can be difficult to find as nothing has an ingredient list. This would be less of an issue if the bakery weren't so popular, but it's usually so busy that asking staff about ingredients in individual items is difficult (which is really just indicative of how popular this place is).

Yummmm! Buns and anpan and desserts and ice cream galore! If you've never had Japanese style buns, you absolutely need to give it a try. They're a very unique kind of soft, sweet bread like a brioche, and filled with different slightly sweet fillings like custards or bean paste. Soooo gooood. Kids will love the adorable designs, like the Nutella Kitty bun or the Turtle bread. Also, there's no shame in getting a Matcha soft serve before you leave and eating it on a bench outside the store to enjoy the day. ;D
