Honestly great donuts. It was $18 for a dozen. They are all so unique, and I love that the donuts have a crunchy outside. My ONLY complaint is that all the donuts are the same base- blueberry or chocolate donuts are just frosted that way, not the flavored cake.

I thoroughly enjoyed the donuts. We bought a 1/2 dozen for $10.50 and the coffee cake crumble donut didn't make it home! My daughter bought a cupcake latte and drank it faster than she does her coffees from Sta...ks. We were looking at the menu before leaving to see what we're ordering the next visit! Going back is a no brainer.

These donuts are out of this world delicious!! I was told to try the maple and bacon donuts. I was truly not interested in eating bacon on a donut. But when I took the first bite I was hooked. Hot fresh and delicious. And you get to see them put the toppings you choose on your donuts. I love those donuts. When I go back to South Carolina, definitely trying every donut they offer!!! I recommend Duck Donuts to everyone who loves donuts like I do!!! 😋😋😋

My bestie and I went to Duck Donuts for the first time today and we were extremely impressed. You cannot beat made to order and the perfect amount of crunch on a doughnut! The prices are so fair, even for coffee. You can customize anything and there are dairy free options. What I really want to praise here though is the incredible service. Every employee is so sweet (and it's not just the delicious smell making me feel this way). Everyone answered all of our questions and made wonderful recommendations. Seriously a great business. Thank you so much Duck Donuts ❤❤❤ keep doing what you're doing! Totally need to buy some merch during my next visit, it's so cute!

The best donuts ever. It is a really cool concept with fresh hot donuts topped to order. I highly recommend the bacon topped maple and the chocolate. Both are great. The only thing I did not care for was the peppermint hot chocolate. It was weak and tasted more like flavored water. Very much worth the drive to get them.

New vegan options are absolutely amazing!! Well worth driving across town to get these! The only problem is that they don't make it home unless I buy a dozen or more! I absolutely recommend trying them! Picture contains (starting top row left): cinnamon sugar, maple glaze, regular glaze, vanilla iced with oreo topping, raspberry iced, vanilla iced with raspberry drizzle. Every one of them tasted spectacular!

First time here and I'm impressed. Very nice workers. You get to choose how you want your donut made. I got a maple glazed with powdered sugar. Donuts come super warm! And they are delicious. There is minimal seating inside depending on what time of the day you stop by.

Bacon on a donut? WHAT!!? Fight the anxiety and try it! WHY did I not think of this combo before? The cake donut underneath is a fantastic texture and flavor that let's any topping shine. Store and staff was quiet. Service was friendly. Donuts are fresh and made to order. Carmel Macchiato was light on the Carmel but not overly sweet. No tables inside, but some seating outdoors. This location is across from Amazon's Whole Food Market and next to Taziki's.

The food is made pretty quickly and made fresh to order which makes everything taste better. The store is kept up and nice and clean. Your breakfast sandwiches and the coffee are definitely worth getting up to go get

I love their donuts! I grew up on Krispy Kreme and I love these even more! It took around 10 minutes to make my dozen and the line was pretty long. Definitely worth the wait for fresh hot donuts! If you love bacon, definitely try the maple bacon. I got the mix dozen.

Best donuts hands down. Nothing more needs to be said. Made to order and warm. Recommend the blueberry with bacon and powder sugar and then maple drizzle...just like breakfast in a donut. Also, chocolate covered strawberry and a smores donut. Fudge with graham cracker, choco chips and marshmallow drizzle.

First, it was impeccably clean, which is so important for food prep and sales. Second, the staff is super friendly and helpful. Third, and most importantly, the donuts are amazing! Their donuts are definitely smaller than the average chain donuts but their cake batter recipe and made to order concept is what really sets them apart. There is nothing like biting into a warm donut that comes straight out of the fryer/oven with fresh toppings. A bit of a wait from after you order but absolutely worth it!

The food is so good!!! GREAT coffee (better then some choices at Starbucks) and such a diverse and wide range of things on the menu that you can make your own donut. Better than krispe Kreme and they aren't overly expensive. Thing to work is they're weren't that many seats available.

Great donut shop around Columbia with some of the freshest, most creative donut flavors / flavor combinations. I usually order coffee at donut shops, too, and did when I came here. While the donuts were great, the coffee (a cappuccino) was pretty weak and tasted mostly of hot milk with a bit of coffee flavor, and at a higher price then I wanted to pay for the cappuccino. Returning to the donuts, they were wonderful. I ordered a bunch for work, and PB&J, Chocolate midnight, and especially the maple bacon and cinnamon bun flavors were astounding. The donuts are not cheap at all, but if you're looking for quality donuts this is the place to get them.

Great variety of donuts. You can even create your own if they don't have what you want. They aren't quite as soft as Krispy Kreme but they aren't as hard as Dunkin's. They are delicious! And the staff is super friendly. They also have a large selection of coffee drinks as well. However, I did not try one on this visit. This place is well worth a visit. I highly recommend Duck Donuts!

If you like donuts, shakes and coffee, you definitely need to visit this place. All the donuts are made to order, customized exactly to your order and served to you piping hot and fresh! The employees were friendly and the service was fast considering they make every donut you order fresh! Open seating area with tables and benches with additional seating outside for those nice days. Didn't try their shakes this time around but they look delicious and have a number of different options. Parking is somewhat limited so you may need to park in the Whole Foods parking lot during busier times.

We drove an hour and a half for these yummy bites of goodness. They are made to order,warm and delicious! I had them in Savannah a few weeks back and have wanted them since. I definitely recommend. The shop is clean and the kids (and is adults) like to be able to watch our donuts get made. Heating them up the next day made them even better because the icing soaked through. I want more just thinking about them.

With that being said, you will pay more for them then you would at the other places. Keep in mind, that they make them fresh when you order them. You also can customize your donut to make it however you want. All together, we were very satisfied customers and we will be back again.

OMG! If you want fresh donuts made when you order this is the place to go to. You can have any topping your heart desires in any combination and it was the best donuts I have ever had. My friend tried the maple and bacon topping and she loved it. I had the lemon raspberry and that was delicious. I also tried the oreo topping one and that was just so delicious. Anything you pick will be delicious. Service was good and everyone is super nice there.you can actually watch the person make your donut with the toppings you want. Great fun. Nice and clean place where you can sit down and enjoy your donuts.

My daughter brought home a few of these donuts and all I can say is WOW! I'm not a huge donut eater- maybe once a year but if I didn't live 40 miles away I could develop a Duck Donut problem. The donuts melt in your mouth and the flavors are packed into every bite. Can't wait to try them all!

I heard the hype about this place so of course I was skeptical lol. Turns out I love the donuts. The dough is just perfect. My favorite is the vanilla donut with Oreos. Even the bacon donut is delicious. My husband and I have made an hour trip here on more than one occasion. Be prepared to pay a bit more than for the average donut.

Our daughter just moved from Columbia SC to Chapel Hill NC for graduate school. One of the things she said she'd miss the most about Columbia was Duck Donuts. As we left World Market in Chapel Hill we turned the corner and saw the Duck Donuts sign! Pure joy overtook the mood of the car!!! Of course we had to stop the car and give it a try. The staff was great and the donuts - out of this world. My favorite by far is the blueberry glazed with lemon. The iced coffee is as good as any on the market.

The line was very long and out the door when a severe thunderstorm came up, which caused people to have to leave without ordering. Also the parking area near the building is small and was full, so some people did not stop to come inside. The employees are very friendly and helpful. I would suggest that one employee stand with the long line to review orders making sure they are written correctly which will save time at the register. The doughnuts were made very quickly and have an out of this world taste. The price was very reasonable compared to other sought stores. We are glad you are here.

The space inside is huge. There is plenty of room. I went for lunch and there were a lot of people there. The food was really good. I got the potatoes for aside and it was pretty good my main meal was a chicken sandwich because i wanted to play it safe. They gave me a lot of chicken. They also give you chips aside. Not really impressed by this place. I guess if over the top cake donuts are your thing then you will like this place. It's the make your own frozen yogurt of donut places. I grew up in the north, where traditional yeast and cake donuts reign. If hot, fried, donut shaped cake is your thing, then come here. If you like plain or simple real donuts, head to Krispie Kreme or Dunks.

Fresh and warm. Made to order. So many creative flavors. These are the doughnuts of your dreams. And if you don't dream of doughnuts then I have nothing for you. Get a dozen and have fun trying all the different flavors. Of course you can get plain or glazed, bug you might as well go to a big chain for those. Here you've got to try flavors like french toast, maple with real bacon pieces, s'mores, cookies and cream with real oreos, or peanut butter and jelly. Those are only a hand full of the flavors. They've also got coffees, lattes, and drinks to wash all the goodness down. Once they pass the box over you'll feel the warmth coming through. Perfect way to start the day.

August 19, 2017. I went there for the first time and it was crowded but the line went quickly. You have a choice of either checking off what you want or just pointing at a pic and tell the cashier. I've heard so much about this place but never took the time to visit. I happened to be in the area and decided to see what all the hype was about. When I walked in, it was slightly overwhelming because I didn't know what to do. There was an area to fill out custom cards for your order but also a line and no one was really helping to direct where to go. I had to ask 2 people (customers) if they knew what the process was. They were new and just shrugged in confusion like me. I finally just stood in line with a blank form and asked the lady taking the order what I should do. I chose my donuts and patiently waited for my order to come up. Before this visit, I didn't know they were made fresh, like as soon as you order them kinda fresh. About 8 min into my wait and the 6th customer waiting for their order, I was tempted to ask for a refund and just stick with the other donut places. Let's just say I'm glad I didn't. These were the BEST donuts I've ever had. I initially got 2 for each of my daughter's but didn't tell them and kept theirs for myself giving them one a piece... don't judge me. I will be back often!

Long lines, but it moves quickly. I don't love cake donuts - however, the variety of toppings helps make up for this. I think these are best taken to go so the toppings can setup a little bit. Otherwise, they can be quite a bit messy, especially for kids.

This is not your typical donut shop. The donuts are made to order. Maple bacon, campfire, peanut butter raspberry you name it they probably have it. After your order is placed watch them make your donuts. A fun experience for the kids and the kid at heart. The donuts are delicious. Since I was a kid, donuts have always been my favorite "cheat food". One of the nagging problems I've had with the Columbia area since moving here 4 years ago is that it didn't have a local donut shop. While I have nothing against "commercial" donut shops, in my experience the quality from a local donut shop is typically far higher. Enter Duck Donuts! Columbia's first local donut shop is also the best donut shop I've ever had! One of the keys to making a great tasting donut is freshness. While some commercial shops sometimes have glazed "hot off the press", EVERY donut you get at duck's is hot off the press and the difference in taste and texture is staggering. Furthermore, the amount of possibilities for topping combinations is incredible. While at first this seemed overwhelming, they have suggested combinations posted that help you through your first order and I'm happy to think the vast combinations possible will keep me engaged in wide variety for a long time to come. I was surprised to find I personally enjoy fruity combinations as it tends to make the donut taste "lighter" and "fresher" but this is of course my personal preference and subjective in nature. I have only one complaint about duck donuts. They're too far of a drive from Chapin. Here's hoping that duck enjoys enough success to expand to a location much further west (Chapin, Ballentine, Harbison) as currently the drive is one of sheer dedication for my love of donuts.
