Reviews of Mindy’s Bakery
Lucy Liu
The line was out the door and there is a good reason for it. There is no a very limited space to stand indoor and max out at about 8 people to eat by the window. There was so much good bakes in front of us that it was hard to control ourselves. Everything was so fresh and the smell of beautiful warm feeling of butter runs through the air even at a distance from the shop. As their menu states they are "always baking something new".
We got 3 baked goods: onion parmesan bialy, peach lemon curd brioche, and sage honey herb quiche. All were so good, flakey, and flavorful. It honestly hit every spot and brought a symphony of notes to my senses. Worth the wait. I love it.

A love letter to Mindy’s…this bakery needs no hype…the line is always out the door and around the corner but there is a special magic here that I can’t help but gush over. The food is absolutely unmatched in every way. I have a hard time getting less than a baker’s dozen treats every time I’m here but the thing that is not immediately seen about Mindy’s is the kind and generous team she has in the store. The place is quite literally never not busy and all of the people who work there are always completely stress-free and so so so kind. Mindy’s, you are the stuff of dreams.

Recommend: enjoyed a hot chocolate and their take on twix bar. Both tasted amazing and all their bakery looked great. I will certainly stop by to try any of their other bakery items.
I wish the space had more table seating. As said above the hot chocolate with giant marshmallow on top was amazing, but it was pricy at $12 a cup.

I have a preference for savory baked goods rather than sweet, so I tried the 3 offered during the first bake and I was blown away. My favorite was the mortadella & gruyere croissant. It was flaky and moist with salty and fatty balance from the meat and cheese. I really liked the crispy cheese chip that is a by-product of it oozing out during the baking process. Kudos to the pastry chef for these great savory treats!!

This place is worth the wait. We got the roasted onion bialy, Twix bar, loaded chocolate chip and stoner cookies. We also got the chicken confit pot pie for lunch later. Everything was perfectly baked. We of course got the Grand Au Lait which had that Mindy’s hot chocolate taste according to my SO. We even got a dog biscuit; which our Boston terrier devoured in two minutes.

Delish! We went for the afternoon bake at 12:35ish, some things were ready and some were still coming out of the oven. Mindy was there and serving customers which was so fun. I’m so glad the new location is open and ready!
Kate
Highly recommend! Tried the Gruyère croissant, sausage egg cheddar chive danish, and vegan chocolate pecan banana bread. There was a ~15 minute line Sunday morning - would advise showing up earlier rather than later
Mady Ryan
Got here right at open and there was still a line out the door. Super tasty pastries. Would recommend for gluten free friends- lots of options

If you’re dieting …. DO NOT GO ! You can smell the butter as soon as you open the damn door. Prepare to be overwhelmed by sweet and savory deliciousness!!!! An indulgent treat before I go on this journey.

The BEST bakery in Chicago! Mindy and her team bake every savory and sweet pastry fresh daily. They have two bakes - one in the morning and one right around noon - and lines are always out the door. Everything is first come first served and until the pastries run out. It's all well worth the wait, even in freezing winter weather!
Inna B.
In such cold, windy weather their super rich, chocoatey, thick hot chocolate is just perfect! Pair it with a delicious, flaky pop tart pastry and you have yourself a perfect Sunday treat.
Janice Garcia
Stood in town for a few days from NYC. My boyfriend saw CM Punk enjoying the bakery so we came to give it a try. OMG!! I would wait online every morning for some goodies. The biscuit, quiche, cinnamon roll and raspberry pastry were so delicious.
Eileen Rohan
Completely worth the hype! Was bummed that hot chocolate is only on weekends, I’ll definitely return for that. Loved my ham and cheese croissant, very rich so I recommend splitting things with friends! Everything is buttery flaky perfection. Not to mention the lovely and welcoming attitude of the space and the staff!
Maureen O'Malley
The BEST bagel I’ve ever had! So fresh! The chive pesto cream cheese too…yum!
Be prepared to wait though! We waited 30 minutes. Someone with us is gluten free and after waiting, the staff told us they didn’t make gluten free bagels that morning :( So, maybe call before heading over if you have GF needs.
Nick Teal
Fantastic bakery! Tried several selections and enjoyed them all. Highly recommend the hot fudge croissant and hot fudge babka! The line can be quite long but moves quickly - but be ready to stand outside for a few minutes and plan accordingly.
The cinnamon roll has a croissant like texture with thick icing that is really sweet.
The biscuits and very thick and tasty.
The morning buns are some of the better I've ever had, with some sort if berry that adds flavor and keeps it moist.
Austin T
I got the buttermilk biscuit and I’m fairly certain it is the best biscuit I have ever eaten. I wish I could try everything, because it all looked so good
John
Her croissants might be the best I've had this side of the Atlantic. The hot fudge cheesecake was incredible, dare I say "transcendent"? The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because she continues to serve C.M. Punk (who, from what I can gather, has never shared a bank account with his mother).
Jeet Bookseller
The hot chocolate for $12, was not freshly made it was pre made and compared to something served in the past at Mindy's, it was decent at best.
The server, did not heat up the bagels or any bakery products, even though they were priced well.
Would have recommended the place in the past, not any more.
zolllo
One of my top steakhouses in Chicago. Atmosphere is unmatched, the whole menu gets the chefs attention, not just the big dollar items. Everything from the cocktails to the truffle Mac and cheese is excellent.
Simeon Pratt
The ham/cheese croissant was pretty good but trying a little too hard with too many fillings. The “savory” goat cheese pastry was sickeningly sweet unfortunately. I’m sure their sweeter offerings would be better.
Mark Moreno
Hot chocolate here is absolutely amazing. Very rich. You can probably share a cup of with a friend or two. I had the hash for breakfast and it’s everything you’d expect and then some from a pot roast and potato hash, down to the perfectly cooked egg. Loved the entire experience here. Just visiting for the weekend but will definitely come back next time I’m in town.
Karin Reichensperger
There was a line out the door when I got there, but what goods restaurant is there not? It was organized. We purchased 4 items, a hot fudge croissant, a roasted onion, fomage blanc and parmesan, a creamcheese cheese pastry and an apple cinnamon muffin. They were all delicious. I will definitely go back. It is just a little pricy to be an every weekend place for me.

Pastries at Mindy's are delicious. The blueberry muffins and a slice of chocolate cake are divine, especially with a few Spindrifts, preferably lime-flavored. Whatever you do, however, don't take them to a media scrum and eat them while burying your co-workers in front of your boss. It will get your niche audience on the Internet to hate you. That's a fact.
Nathan Michael
GLUTEN-FREE PARADISE. Ok, so most bakeries aren’t in the business of serving up gluten free items, but Mindy not only offers a hand full of delicious delicacies, but she CRUSHES THEM. When’s the last time you had an amazing GF bagel? Probably never, unless you’ve come here. Plus she tips it over the edge with her cookies, brownies, tarts, etc. I can’t vouch for cross contamination, as they are made in the facility, but I live on the wild side. Especially if it means I get to have a few bites of Mindy’s tasty treats.
Ross Karlins
Kind of pricey for what you get, regardless of what you’ve gotten. I love Mindys baking but $12 for a small hot chocolate?!? And the quiches, some small pastries, and some croissants are surprisingly expensive too.
C
The food is great but the restaurant has issues. When I arrived I was told we had to wait 45 min to get a table. But I noticed there were 5 empty tables. 10 min passed and noticed not one person was placed in this open space while a large pile of people accumulated by the door waiting to be seated. The hostess floated around and didn’t see the urgency or need to seat people. This was terribly annoying for me and all the people waiting. Eventually we did get seated and I noticed at all times at least 2 tables were open, usually 3. The long wait times felt artificial to say the least. Maybe they want to be ready if Obama and Oprah both wanted to show up at the same time. Regardless it hurt my experience there. The bartender was great and the cooks did an amazing job. The rest of the service wasn’t great.
Madeleine England
We came to try some dinner items and dessert (duh). In the past, I’ve only ever had dessert or hot chocolate. Our table ordered the burger, the chicken sandwich. Both were really good and one of the best buns I’ve had. The chicken was good and all the flavors worked so nice together. I’m not sure which one I’d choose next time because I enjoyed both so much.
We also tried a few appetizers. The cheddar biscuits were good, but the overly sweet butter sauce didn’t work. The cauliflower had mixed reviews at the table; I really liked it but others really didn’t like it. The arancini was fine.
The biggest disappointment was dessert. The only dessert items on the menu were different ice cream flavors. Apparently it will be like that for the month. And next month will be a different dessert theme. So we skipped dessert. Disappointing.
Overall, the service was great. But I don’t really want to return until the dessert menu offers baked items again.

Brought some muffins for work today while proceeding to bury all my employees. Went to my locker room and then some “children” decided to kick down my door, i assume it was because I didn’t give them some and they couldn’t afford any, probably because they share a joint bank account with their mothers. Luckily for these muffins, i was able to fight them and then we all got suspended, I’m hurt and old because of it but thanks to mindy’s I’m able to mentally recover.

Cured Salmon Bagel
Tthis place has THE BEST hot chocolate we've ever got our hands on. Not only that, they have so many varieties of it, they might as well make a separate menu just for hot chocolates. And,
by the way, that's just a start, the food here is super delicious too. Pick anything on the menu, you're guaranteed for a treat.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞
The Salmon bagel we ordered was one such delightful treat. Fresh, healthy and delicious. Chive cream cheese spread over a Sesame bagel, topped with citrus cured Salmon, farm cucumbers, red onions, pea shoots, and caper berries.
The bagel - perfectly crusty; the salmon - perfectly citrusy.
There are a lot of other healthy options as well. Also, for those who care, the ingredients are locally sourced.
You know what, we won't do justice if we didn't mention their pancakes and French toast. If you go there with a group, please order those. Again, one of the best we've ever had.
They have other desserts too, we were too full to try them, but we're more than convinced they'd be great.
The neighborhood itself, not just the cafe, is very lively. If you ate too much (which you will), just walk around the block. It's worth the time.
Talha Khawaja
Once upon a time where I had the greatest hot chocolate ever. This is another gem of the city. If you are wanting a cool vibe with sweets, brunch, and superb hot chocolate this place is a must. Hot chocolate is unexplainable. Don't compare this to your local coffee shop. You have to taste to experience the richness of the drink and the desserts are fantastic. Please go check this out and get an old fashioned
Tess McDermott
Walking into Mindy's is my favorite way to start my Saturday. The staff is so sweet and they never fail to make me smile. It's so great having Mindy's in the neighborhood!
Michelle Hammond
We came for hot chocolate, so I can't rate the food. It is a cold late Saturday night, after ten o'clock. There is plenty of meter street parking outside (free after 10) and the room inside has thinned out too. We get a table along the wall, where there is bench seating with a chair on the outside for maximizing the space, they also have tables and chairs too. It's dark inside with music playing in the background. We did see the regular menu. They seem to offer good variety of seafood options, s vegan choice, as well as other tasty options. Seems like the dessert menu gets changed monthly. There menu for hot chocolate must be between 6 - 8 different types. I had 70% dark chocolate, which tasted like I was eating a candy bar. It comes with a home made marshmallow on the side. My friend had hot chocolate with butterscotch. It you like butterscotch you will really like this. My only wish is that the hot chocolates came hotter. I personally don't want to spend half hour waiting for to cool down enough to sip and burn my tongue but, only the first two sips were warm. We wanted something to warm ourselves up. Again it could be because it was late and knew we could hang out long that they served it tepid. Servers were friendly especially since it was almost 50 minutes before closing.
Ivee L
I was disappointed. Although the food weren't outstanding, I thought the hot cocoa and dessert would be amazing but it wasn't. Focaccia was kinda burnt, pasta was average. The chocolate cake was better than hot cocoa. Not sure what's so special about this place.
Candace Brown
Mindy's has amazing food and the most delectable desserts. The ambiance is romantic and intimate. The menu is seasonal and changes often, so if you see something on it you'd like to try, go before it's gone. My sea bass was so fresh and the banana bread brioche pudding is to die for.
Zaid Alemam
Came here for dessert and hot chocolate. I ordered the Mexican Hot Chocolate, my friends had the medium and Ganache hot chocolate. All were really tasty. For dessert we ordered the donuts, peach tart, and a raspberry pie slice. The ingredient were clearly fresh and the quality top notch.
Quan Le
There is nothing much to say about the hot chocolate a Mindy's. Seriously, I do not think it is necessary to describe how it tasted or what the flavors were, simply because it was the best. If this is not the best hot chocolate in the whole wide world, honestly I have no idea how the best will be. Even though the hot chocolate was pricey, it was definitely literally worth it. The Medium with milk chocolate or the Dark with 72% French dark chocolate were all delicious and heavenly, the Old Fashion with medium hot chocolate, cocoa nib whipped ganache, and house-made square marshmallow was divine, incredible, and unforgettable.
HollywoodBigBoss
If a millionaire entitled a$$hole who only loves himself promotes Mindy's Bakery it must be something really special. Nothing beats having these muffins at a press conference where the above mentioned millionaire proceeded to bury his co-workers only to have it backfire, get into a fight backstage knocking out the Executive Vice President of the company you work for and your best friend throw a chair in another man's face. Then he tries lying about the fight afterwards and gets his best friend fired for it.

I might be old, hurt and work with children but Mindy's Bakery muffins helps me through the day and let me air out all my stress away. I recommend you try their muffins with non alcoholic beer.
Trey & Jude Food Review
We went here for dessert. Very hip and chill vibes. The old fashion hot chocolate was to die for. Very decadent and rich. Was a dessert in it’s self. Our wives got the chocolate pie. They thought it was good but a little over priced. The triple vanilla ice cream was very flavorful but again a little pricey for a scoop of ice cream.
SPICY
I came here for dessert which is excellent layers of flavor. Just way to sweet for my taste. They have really good desserts drinks as well. Excellent service and really comfortable.
Stephanie R
$13 for the hot chocolate and marshmallow but it was like drinking a melted chocolate bar 👎 👎 however the biscuit and bagel are good …
Mahima Srivastava
Finally tried Mindy's for desserts. Loved everything we ordered. Hot chocolate was s bit too sweet for me but all desserts were amazing. We tried chocolate cake dessert, napoleon and rhubarb one. Great service.
Reethu Sadhana
Tried the Old fashioned Hot Chocolate here and it felt like heaven after the first sip. It has a very sweet and thick chocolatey flavour to it but my tongue couldn't take after a few more sips. The atmosphere is well done with little details and it looked like a decent date place with nice ambience.

Mindy''s hot choocolate is known in Chicago for desserts. My review is on their food which was fantastic ! Their Mac n cheese is excellent. Their spring dinner main courses are flavorful and the entire main course menu has been curated well.
Ricardo van Dijk
The perfect place for that rainy weekend afternoon when you are craving for some great comfort food! Make sure you start off right ordering one or multiple of their delicious hot chocolates - we tried the medium and the eggnog and they were both amazing! Then indulge yourself with their chorizo queso fundido (yummy to say the least) and their breakfast burrata. I’m pretty sure this meal will make you feel like it’s warm and sunny outside.
Shashwat P. Baxi
Was happy with the desserts that I ordered last night. They have a good variety of hot chocolate flavors and desserts to choose from. I would definitely consider going back here again. Only complaint that I had was that the PB&J dessert was quite hard to eat, but the flavors were strong and tasty!
Grace Ha
It’s a lovely little place with yummy food and decadent desserts.
I took a couple friends there a few weeks ago, one who was visiting from abroad. We shared a hot chocolate and 2 desserts.
The Mexican hot chocolate wasn’t overly rich and my friends enjoyed the flavor. I thought since they charged a few bucks to split the hot chocolate, they could split it 3 ways. But they didn’t allow that, which we thought was weird since we were paying to split it anyways.
The other two desserts were overly rich, but that was expected since we went specifically for dessert. The cake with raspberry sauce was the best, with a lighter/tart flavor to balance the sweetness and richness. We didn’t finish any of the desserts because it was too much for us.
The problem arrived the next morning for me. I had the runs for 2 days after my last visit. It was more inconvenience from having to stay near a bathroom than a physical pain, but unexpected and unpleasant nonetheless. I have not had tummy troubles following my past meals of cooked food, so I’m going to say this time was a fluke. Unpleasant nonetheless.
Nit Jay
Came here because we heard nothing but rave reviews; but were quite disappointed with the hot chocolate and the caramel popcorn we ordered. The popcorn was so stale, and our hot chocolate was too rich. The ambiance is nice but I wouldn't come here again was quite overpriced for so so drinks and dessert.
Spencer Nord
Full disclosure, this is more of a placeholder rating than a sincere review. We went there after having a late dinner. The dessert was so good but so rich, so I don't feel like I can comment too harshly or positively on it. From the amount I could eat, I really enjoyed it. The dark hot chocolate was super rich and tasty. The chocolate chip pan cookies was also good. But again, i could only have about half of them.
K Daniel
Great hot chocolate, Burger could be better. Anything dessert is delicious and definitely worth the order. The burger patty was a little too dense and somewhat crumbly the cheese was cooled and congealed and overall the burger was somewhat unpleasant although the bun was good. The coleslaw on the side was okay and the squirt bottle of ketchup was very cute.
Carmella Anderson
The hot chocolate was personally way too rich for more than a couple of sips at this cute cafe. Great vibe inside and would love to come back for a savory meal to give it another try. Bought cookies as a gift and a couple for ourselves. They were delicious and a fair price.
John Lenihan
Stopped by for lunch. The pot roast sandwich was very good as was the cured salmon bagel. Highlight was the old fashioned and butterscotch hot chocolate. Very good service. Street parking.
Kenny Weiner
If you don't know yet, everything @mindysbakery is 🔥 and the people who work there are great-particularly the cashier who is on another level and not just saying that because he complimented my fit! The trick is figuring out your must haves. Decided today to treat myself to an Apple strudel in addition to my normal order for the ride back to the northwest suburbs. That damn strudel didn't last to the highway! One of best sweet things I have eaten-this candy coated glaze or carmelization-I don't even know what it was-it was this crispy goodness of outer layer covering a beautiful apple filling!! Please make extras for next week when I scoop more!!
Wendy Huang
The hot chocolate is good but it’s not as thick as LA Burdick. It’s also more expensive and doesn’t include white chocolate. The names on the menu really truly to be fancier than they really are. For example, the coffee cake has cheesecake under its description and there was nothing remotely close to cheesecake in the coffee cake. The quiche was filled with potatoes. >_> like why? The burger is good but the coleslaw was eh. The salad was okay. But it’s just weird when the dressing gets on the quiche. It came pretty quickly though. The chips didn’t have salt but the waitress was able to get it afterwards in a salt grinder thing. But since it’s really packed in here, it did take a while for her to get us some help. Tbh, I wouldn’t come back here for the hot chocolate. I think you could easily melt some Belgian chocolate in milk in a pan on the stove and get the same result. The general overhyped feeling turns me off and I’m probably not going to come back.

Delicious! Baked goods were still warm when we got them! Very friendly, fun, and passionate staff. Worth the wait in line!
George mardini
Every item I purchased was exquisitely baked and made with incredible ingredients. I wish Mindy would open a location in the suburbs
Ahsun Jilani
Wait for the weekend and get in line to get your fix with some yummy baked goods. Don't be late as it's only open for 4 hours on Saturday and Sunday. Phew.
Don't forget the hot chocolate.
The everything bagel with chive cream cheese was truly outstanding.
Piyush Verma
5 stars for a simplistic ambience and the experience and service I got from my 3 visits in just one week. I can only comment for the hot chocolates: Not like the best ones so far but still their "hot chocolate with the whiskey shot" was worth the money ($8). Ideal place for a first date or if you are dating yourself!!! Small suggestion: Can you please have something on the lines of "sea salt caramel HC". That'd be a killer one for me to visit even more often!!
Sean Weston
My friend Phil recommended me and I had a great time! Friendly staff and quality food with a great atmosphere
Shima Homayoonieh
Came here on a freezing Chicago night and it was super packed. Wait time for a table of 2 on a Thursday night was 40 mins but it was worth it. We got the Dark hot chocolate and the apple Cinnamon crumble dessert. The hot chocolate was heavenly highly recommended if you like dark chocolate and a dash of bitterness. It comes with a homemade marshmallow. The dessert was so good as well, not too sweet.
Gary Dinsdale
Great place in Chicago. If you like pastries and baked goods, I suggest you go there. They're closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, though.
Graciana Marini
Awesome brunch but other make a reservation well ahead of time or show up at least at 9:45 to get in and avoid waiting.
Separate note for the hot chocolate. I ordered the mint chocolate and is by far one of the best things I ever drank!
Jesus Delgado
Love their iced chocolate coffee! Definitely try all their pastries!
Alam Moran
Inspired, delicious, and decadent desserts. Very good food but you must save room for the desserts and hot chocolate!
Winicius Feitosa
Very good restaurant, focused and having their hot chocolate as an important stuff (my wife went there only because of it)! For my surprise, everything else was amazing!!
Susiette De Leon
This place was highly rated over their hot chocolate, so a friend of mine and I went to try it since we were in the neighborhood. The hot chocolate comes with a marshmallow to swirl around in our chocolates...nice touch. Hot chocolate was good bit much too rich for my taste. I'll come back to try the food and have a Churro & Chocolate brew but I'll pass on the hot chocolate.
Ryan F
Consistent, quality food bursting with flavor. The space is inviting and moody. My only criticism, is that the waitstaff could be a bit more attentive or possibly reduce the number each member is responsible for.
Tom Arnold
Wow cm punk was right, Mindy's is a great place if you like pastries and baked goods, only downside is that they're closed on Mondays and Tuesdays
Brooklyn Lewis
One of the best place here in U.S! This place looks so neat and elegant. I prefer going to this place over winter but I do go here every now and then since I grew up just quite near it. Their staffs were friendly, professional, polite and very patient which is a good thing. they would actually talk to me so casually and I also like that, maybe it is because I am already a known customer there. I would always have their hot chocolate, flaky pop tart pastry, Ham and cheese croissant, perfectly seasoned egg, Potato hash, and their other sweet pastries. Their location is also pretty accurate, as well as the style of their place. Their yummy goodies are worth it. The best place, really! Great place, High quality foods, and very friendly people to be with. Of course, I’d definitely go back here for another time! Well, keep up the good work guys! Thank you for the polite service! Kudos!

That hot chocolate on a windy day be bussin.
That spiced pumpkin bar made me see God. Their stuff got no business busting up in my mouth like that 😩 …
Marideliz Ortiz
The food was amazing. The place is cute and well decorated. But they wait is usually whats make you want to leave. It was brunch time, but it was probably cause it was a sunday.
Brenna Moss
For my birthday, all I wanted was a fancy hot chocolate! This hot chocolate was soooo good - incredibly rich. Seriously like a melted chocolate bar! My husband and I both had the Mexican one. The homemade marshmallow is to die for, and they even put a candle in mine for my birthday. The downfall of Mindy's is the crazy expensive price. It was $8 per mug, and a $3 split charge if sharing. We brought home a LOT leftover because it was so rich we couldn't finish it. $23 total seems excessive for hot chocolate, but it was a good treat.
Sergio Lopez
Loved this place! We went at night with a pretty large group and got seating fairly quickly. The service was top notch and the waitress was quick to address any questions. Had the PB&J and honestly can say I've never had anything like it. Tasted just like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich but the presentation was so much different than what I expected. Overall a little pricey but definitely worth it for the experience.
Chef Elle Green
We discovered Hot Chocolate at Revival Food Hall and sampled chocolate thumb print cookies filled with chocolate ganache, peanut butter cookies, pear and smoked almond danish and vegan banana bread. ALL including the vegan were beyond delicious!!!
That led us to skip over all the restaurants in downtown Chicago to have dinner at THE Hot Chocolate tonight.
Oh my....EVERYTHING was just perfect! We had Mimolette Hushpuppies with Apple Butter (the best tasted so far), Baby Carrots, Crispy Chicken Thighs and Polenta (thighs were crispy, polenta-creamy and sauce was light and seasoned right), Fried Chicken with House Potato Chips as a substitute for potato salad because we don't eat mayo. Oh, the biscuits were light inside and slightly crunchy outside.
And we finished by having peanut butter milkshake, chocolate pie and apples and cinnamon cobbler.
We left full and satisfied, and thanks to our waitress, Caitria, we'd do it ALL OVER AGAIN!!
Jim S.
I want to order the muffin tops, but I don't think they deliver to CT. When you feel hurt, old, and are sick of working with children, you need something sweet to take the pain of a press scrum away.
Matt
Mindy's is the best. After a hard fought battle in the ring I know I can count on Mindy's bakery to get me through a post match media scrum. Every bite helps me forget about all the immature goofs I have to work with.
Langley
Great service! Awesome vibe! Excellent hot chocolate, I ordered the butterscotch hot chocolate and it came with a wonderful homemade marshmallow! Definitely will come back! The brioche donuts are a must have!
Mary Luedecke
Talk about AMAZING hot chocolate! It tastes like you’re drinking the inside of a molten lava cake. It’s so rich but once you start drinking it you can’t stop.
We’ve stopped here twice. Once for the just the hot chocolate and we came back to get dinner along with more chocolate.
The food is also great!
It’s a bit in the pricey side but totally worth it!
Service is great!
C M
I was craving a really good hot chocolate, ideally with great whip cream. I got the old fashioned. This didn't hit the spot. Very very rich and thick. After 10 sips I didn't want more. No whip cream. They put some type of marshmallow in it but it quickly melted anyways. The ganache was the best part. If it was $5 I'd give it 4 stars but $10??? Disappointing.
LAN
Tried the coffee frozen nought dessert, looks messy but taste really good. They change the menu always and I like how they come up with new and unique desserts
Eduardo Alves
The environment is really interesting. The hot chocolate is one attraction. The service could be a little bit quicker. Good experience.
Chuy
I share a joint bank account with my mother and we spend a majority of our earnings here on muffins and pastries. Gets us through the headache of working with children everyday.
Wendy Cid
Service was good, good atmosphere, you should try hot chocolate of course , I ordered the chicken fried sandwich, it wasn't really good to me, I was expecting chicken breast and it was drumstick and it doesn't tasted good at all. Other than that everything was fine.
Amy Simpson
The BEST hot chocolate I've ever had and incredible desserts. Absolutely incredible!
Adam Massachi
Best bagels in the neighborhood, other baked goods were tasty as well
Not quite NY style bagels but better than some other places around
Pickle Cipher
Look in my eyes, what do you see? Muffins from Mindys bakery. I know you're hungry, hungry for sweets. Pastries so good you can fight The Elite.
Andrew Elegante
Amazing brunch favorite that also has a really good dinner and, of course, the amazing hot chocolate (very rich so split it)
Donald Lanese
My.friend Phil suggested this place for my Chicago trip and i must admit this place has the best muffins in the world
Robert Jackson
Look in my mouth, what do you see? Muffins from Mindy’s Bakery. I know your hunger, I know your tastebuds.
I’ll make anything you want to eat. Oh it’s the muffins from Mindy’s Bakery.
Tom K
Expensive. Frou frou service. Hot chocolate wasn't hot. Homemade marshmallows are good. Very very sweet. Need to take your time sipping it.
Chanel Tate
This bread pudding brings up raw emotions. My friend tried to reach onto my plate and she almost lost a finger. Lol. Almost ended our friendship. Be easy. It shouldn't be this good. 🔥 …
Justin Streim
Some bomb pastries. They’re so good i couldn’t stop eating them at a press conference where I was badmouthing my coworkers in front of my boss.

Service is amazing, and when I asked if they had a dairy free dessert. They offered to add fruit to their sorbet. So delicious and I am so thankful.
Saraswati Iyer
It is open only on Saturday and Sunday. There is big queue and stuff get over pretty fast. They even have vegan stuff. We got vegan banana bread and vegan bagel. Banana bread was super good. We also got hot chocolate and chocolate halwa croissant which were pretty good as well.
arpita kaushik
One of the best hot chocolate I ever had. Great ambience and the staff was really sweet. Definitely a must try.

I’m a hurt old man who works with children I can’t stand working with these dumb children but thanks to mindys bakery for the blueberry muffins and spindrift for the lime flavored sparkling water it heals me and helps me fight off my child co workers
Sarah Almodovar
We went 30 minutes after they opened and it was already an hour wait. The menu is, like many other reviewers have said, quite expensive BUT the hot chocolate is delicious!
Gerald Schnilsnap
I give it five stars but rest assured I'm not Meltzer.
Iris Everlee Peters
This is a great place to go if you're feeling upset after a chair gets thrown into your eye, someone bites your arm, you have to hold a crazy dog, etc.
Ben Barth
It's OK. Hot chocolate is very rich and marshmallows appear homemade but the hot chocolate was almost too rich. Tip: don't finish before you get your food or you will be too full. Food was decent, however French toast would have been flavorless without the toppings. Sausage was crispy which isn't my preference, although tasted good. Service was beyond slow... 5-10min in between times for our server to show up. It took 10min to get our check... I get it, you're busy, but either hire more staff or more competent staff. The kitchen was fast and you could see plates all lined up ready to go out.
John Maske
Only came in for the cinnamon donuts and hot chocolate, so I can't speak to the menu as a whole. The place has a neat vibe and the staff were friendly. The donuts were great, but the hot chocolate was really rich. It tasted great, but I'd maybe cur it with some milk next time. Is have probably given 5 stars, but they are very proud of their offerings. Two hot chocolates and one order of donuts totaled $27 before tip.
Anna Finke
I love this place! It never fails to make me happy with their delicious food and desserts. It's my go-to in the neighborhood when I have guests visiting.
e anderson
Eaten here often and consistently great. Coffee bar so good I'll some times adjust schedule to visit...but would go more often if it could open earlier.
Yazo Itn
I ordered one of their pastries and it gave me enough energy to fight The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega in my locker room
Maria Ramirez
This place is AMAZING. Their menu changes with the seasons and every new dish we've tried has been exceptional. Their desserts are drool worthy. Their hot chocolate drinks are the best I've ever had in my life. The environment is dark and romantic. Kids are welcome, but my husband and I usually go their as a date night without kids. If I had to choose one place for a date night and that was the only place I could go to for thr rest of life, this would be it.
Michael M
Chicago baked goods lovers, while you lay there, hopefully as uncomfortable as you possibly can be, I want you to listen to me.I want you to digest these muffins before I leave in 3 weeks with the rest of them, I have a lot of things I want to get off my chest....
Jordan M
Both the staff and baked goods are gems - do not miss!
Andrew Barber
The quality of the food is pretty high. The hot chocolate, of course, is delicious, though pricey. Our experience with the wait staff has always been great. It's often busy. The 2-seater tables are uncomfortably small. You should look at the menu before deciding to eat there: the flavor combinations are creative in a way that won't sound good to everyone.
Christopher Gibbs
Came here with the expectation of it just being a dessert spot. It has a full menu as well has great desserts. The restaurant has a great atmosphere if a bit dark. The view of the open kitchen is nice with one side of the smaller restaurant being just the bar.
By far one of the best hot chocolates I've had, very rich and creamy. If you come in to get just desserts each guest needs to spend at least $15. That will be no problem if everyone orders a dessert for themselves and a drink or hot cocoa.
Anthony Boyd
The best hot chocolate. Brunch was excellent too.
Jackie R
I was so looking forward to eating here. We attempted to go on a Wednesday and walking up to the restaurant we saw a "closed" sign. Disappointed, but undeterred we returned when they opened a few days later. We were seated pretty promptly and the hostess were very friendly and polite. Unfortunately, our server was not particularly attentive. I ordered a chai tea, which was good, but not worth the price point. The marshmallows were very tasty, though we had to ask for them. Lunch was a mixed bag. I ordered an egg dish which was creative and flavorful. The accompanying potatoes and toast were cold. The toast also had an incredibly acrid burnt taste. Our server wasn't around enough to complain about it. Finally, I was disappointed that a James Beard pastry chef had no pastry on the menu.
Lakshmi Sridevi
One of my favorite places in Chicago, I have been to the restaurant a few times before they transformed it into a bakery. Mindy’s hot chocolate is the best you could ever find. They have quite the variety, trust me when I say this especially to all those who love chocolates like I do; I cannot stop myself but repeat that their hot chocolate is heavenly. My favorites are medium, old fashioned, dark and Mexican. I can’t wait to try their other varieties.
Andres Rodriguez
Best bagels I've had so far in the city, but you gotta get there early when they're still fresh. Also worth it for the tub of giardiniera cream cheese - enough to take home and keep as a spread for future bagels. The gluten-free danish is incredible and probably the best pastry I've had in recent memory.
Neil Fine
Great food and great service. Brad, or server, was helpful but not intrusive. From appetizers to dessert Mindy’s has it all
Andrew Kutylo
I loved my brunch here. Started off with the butterscotch hot chocolate. It was decadent and velvety. Then, I ordered the biscuits and gravy. It was a perfect complement to the richness of the hot chocolate. The pickled vegetables shine and the biscuits are delicious. The portions are well sized too. I'd say the only downside to this restaurant is that it's hard to get a table.
Tiffany Liu
Go with their pastry of the day! We had morning bun. It’s not a morning bun we had before but it’s very good!
Devin Wong
Sunday brunch was amazing. Although the hot chocolate was a tad sweet for my tastes, the food offerings were varied and delicious. The homemade marshmallow that came with the hot chocolate was absolutely amazing. Wait staff was friendly and on hand to answer all of our questions.
Amna Ahmed Rao
Can't say anything about the food as we only went there for dessert... But the hot chocolates were so worth it! Rich, warm and left us satisfied. The servers were very friendly too.
Select the dark chocolate version if you are not a fan of very sweet hot chocolate
Christy Kaye
One of the best bakeries in Chicago for your classic pastries. Almost reminds me of Europe. Truly a treat!!
I love the coffee cake, caramelized onion biali, and cookies, but let's be real you can't really go wrong...
Nishika Goel
I’m a huge hot chocolate connoisseur so I researched some spots in Chicago to try and Mindy’s showed up on every list and after trying it, I understand why. It was the perfect hot chocolate - not too chocolatey, not too milky with some tones of caramel in it too. the huge marshmallow on top just made it more heavenly. 10/10 recommend if u love or even slightly like hot chocolate!
Devin Kidner
I love HotChocolate and if you're looking for THE best (repeat: THE best) desserts, you need to visit. And if you haven't tried the Butterscotch Hot Chocolate, good goodness, you are missing out. Really, the atmosphere, the food, but especially the baked goods are magic. The cookie bars are drool-worthy and Mindy is a legend in Chicago.
You do not want to miss this quintessential Chicago establishment!
Christine McPherson
I like to come here with friends from out of town & impress them with the Delicious Hot Chocolate. It's always wonderful & rich.
Their food is also good, though I've been disappointed by the brunch. I've seen other reviews that lauded the brunch food, so maybe I just got the wrong thing.
on the other hand, I've always enjoyed their lunch/dinner menu. The dishes do tend to be a little smaller, but the quality is amazing.
If you're not sure what to get, and you're a burger fan, you can't go wrong here with their burger.
Michael Boothby
I've been to Mindy's HotChocolate twice now. Once for dinner and once for lunch. Both times the food and service have been outstanding. I got the $24 lunch special which came with pretzel bites, the burger, and a hot chocolate of choice. My girlfriend got the chicken sandwich which was like a fancy chicken Parmesan. Very unique and very delicious! She got the Mexican Hot Chocolate and I got the Butterscotch. Both were sinful. I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu here. If you haven't been, go for any meal! I can't wait to try the weekend brunch!
Jin Shen
I love chocolate! This place serves really good chocolate!
Larry J. Davis
I just have to rave about my great time at Mindy's! The entire experience from beginning to end was fantastic. I'm visiting town for the weekend from San Fransisco and some girlfriends suggested that we check out Hot Chocolate. We were unable to secure a reservation for the evening (not surprised as it was a Saturday night) but we decided to try our luck at walking in. Holy cow! The line of people waiting for tables extended out the door. The waiting area is quite small and inconveniently located directly in front of the to-go counter, but the rest of the restaurant is cozy and inviting with dim lighting, string lights, hip music, and candles.
The hostess quoted us 45 minutes for a table. I expressed that I'm visiting from out of town and we have all been eager to give the restaurant a try and she assured us the the wait was worth it, even pulling us over a few times to point out all of the different desserts we should try and sharing her favorites. They squeezed us in 15 minutes early at the end of their communal table. Score! Once seated, we got to work on the menu.
We ordered the Old Fashioned, Mexican, and Black & Tan hot chocolates. All were served with a delicious homemade marshmallow and were hits amongst the three of us except for the Black & Tan (1/3 hot fudge and 2/3 hot chocolate)... a bit to sweet for all of our liking. Our server was busy but still very attentive and just a delight. She backed up the suggestions for dessert and we ordered the bread pudding, chocolate cake, and cookie plate. All perfect compliments to our hot chocolate! The bread pudding was sweet and not too soggy (like others I've encountered) and the chocolate cake was beautifully served with cream poured over the top. The cookie plate was perfect for dunking into our hot chocolates and included one of each cookie offered in-house. Delicious!
On our way out, the hostess thanked us and wished me a safe trip back home (even remembering my name among all the chaos). I have worked in the service industry for over 12 years and I can appreciate great customer service and a staff who genuinely cares. Thank you Tiara (our hostess), Dana (our server), and Chef Mindy and team for a great experience. I will be back during my next trip back to the Windy City!
Ray Forgianni
For a place loaded with James Beard awards I had high expectations...which were not met. Was the food good? Yes. Was it outstanding? No. Was the service great? No. Good wait staff? Yes but poor delivery coming from a number of areas from the kitchen and the barrister. At least 20 minutes for the Hot Chocolate. And that was after inquiring twice. When asked to cancel it, suddenly it appeared. On the house in a go cup didn't allow the savor. Was anyone in charge? Even one meal came out separately. Oh, and the homemade pork sausage at $5 a link? With the main dishes at brunch running around $12 to $15, $5 a link?
Rabia Siddiqui
Service really slow. Asked if hot chocolate was too sweet and was told that it's less then normal hot chocolate. It indeed was too sweet and rich. So overbearingly sweet and rich, couldn't even get through half of it. Also too pricey for hot chocolate. So disappointing. And small miniscule ice cream scoops for $12. I mean they were great flavors but definitely not worth the hype.
Wes Blevins
We arrived after too late to order entrees, but the dessert menu is excellent. Banana bread pudding was outstanding, and my son’s assortment of ice creams were very tasty. We got hot chocolate to go, and as one might expect, they were delicious. The dining room is cozy and the staff were very friendly and attentive.
mehveen ahmed
I Went here on a Friday night with my husband and it was super packed. So we ended up taking our Orders to go. The price for a hot chocolate is a bit pricey. I did get oatmilk substituted instead of what usually comes with it. It was very delicious and rich in the chocolate flavor. I would come back to try other flavors.
Christie Jeung
The hot chocolate is worth the hype. It's incredibly rich, so save it for last.
The items we ordered off the dinner menu were very good too, especially the fried chicken sandwich. The meat is tender and we were mopping up the remaining hot sauce maple syrup on the serving board with sourdough that came with the cheese platter we ordered (also delicious!).
What clinches the five stars for me was the service. Our server patiently answered our questions about the menu and pricing, even when it was clear we were a party of three sharing items that were not crafted with the intention of sharing. She also let us take our time with the meal--we stayed for over two hours and didn't feel rushed to leave.
Maya
Pretty good. Takes a long time to get a table. While you wait it’s good to get a hot chocolate. I would confidently say it’s the best in the city. You should get extra marshmallows with it. They make them in house I believe and they melt in your mouth. I used to be indifferent to marshmallows before I tried theirs. I would definitely come back.
Erica Williams
Decadent - that's the word I would use to describe Hot Chocolate. I've been to Hot Chocolate a few times for brunch, and every time I've gone, there has been something that has taken my breath away. The food is very luxurious and decadent, full of all of the flavor you can physically take at one time. If you are having a bad day, go there and you will forget about it just for a little while. The last time I went, the white chocolate butterscotch hot chocolate was "slap your momma" good. They really weren't playing around. Rich, creamy, sweet, and delicious. Not to mention that they give you a homemade marshmallow. The savory dishes are prepared very well - I usually get an omelette, or a scramble of some sort. This is the type of place you could take someone from out of town, and they would be impressed. The prices are on the expensive side, but after you eat the food, you don't mind paying a little extra - you can tell that they use quality ingredients. In my opinion, Hot Chocolate is one of the best brunch places in Chicago.
One thing I did notice is that they have an abundance of tables for parties of 2 - it's easy to get in and get a table if you are in a party of 2. Add any more people, and you will be looking at a longer wait. They also serve a mean burger. Honestly one of the best burgers in the city.
Don't miss out!
veronica montanez
Came here 3 times already, it so good I have to keep coming back.. I always get coffee with steak and hash because it so good to have steak and eggs in the morning. Just a note, make reservations so you don't have to wait in a line... hot chocolate literally taste like you are eating the bar. The food is in mid price, if you order alot then it going to be pricey.
Neil K
As you can tell by the name, this place is known for their hot chocolate and I must admit, it was the best hot chocolate that I have ever had. Wow I cannot describe how good it was and this place was definitely worth the visit. The dessert was also spectacular though everything else on the menu was pretty expensive. Nothing on the dinner menu stood out to me and for such high prices, it was simply not worth it. Service was alright, nothing too amazing.
theprusmusic
Their famous hot chocolate was so unbelievably sweet that I felt like puking after 1/3 cup XD perhaps it would be good if watered down
The marshmallow was my favorite part. The sweetness was actually very well balanced and it was super soft and fluffy.
I do appreciate their different flavors/options for hot chocolate.
Oh also, it was SUPER expensive for a cup of hot chocolate.
Rich Goldsmith
Hot Chocolate is always tasty. The namesake drink is rich and they're great about inventive seasonal flavors (the Oat Milk version is surprisingly great) - rich, not too sweet, and topped with an impressively cloud-like marshmallow. The food is a little hit or miss for me, but is generally good, with a few standouts (the mac & cheese is great, but the burger everyone seems to rave about never does much for me). Brunch is definitely more reliably great than dinner, but the desserts are ridiculous, over the top and delicious. You can't go wrong with a late(r) night visit for a quick drink and dessert with someone you're trying to impress the pants off of (literally, in most cases). While we don't go too often, we love having the place in our neighborhood and knowing it's there whenever we want to throw the diets to the wind and go nuts.
Sean Christopher Wright
They have an amazing burger, but it's pricy ($17 without anything added). The burger looked small when it arrived, but it was surprisingly filling. Both my wife and I were very pleased with our burgers and the only complaint I would have is the price. We had two got chocolates for dessert, which were both amazing and the homemade marshmallows were delicious. There's a lot we didn't try, but we'll probably be back... just not that often because everything there is roughly 15-30% more expensive than other equally good restaurants in the city.
Patti T (Pattikake)
Indulgent and amazing treat. The medium and the butterscotch were so good and the apple cake was out of this world
Stephanie M
The Hot Chocolate was by far the best dining experience I've ever had! The food looks and tastes AMAZING! Every meal is a piece of hand crafted art made with fresh ingredients. It's a must to order a hot chocolate! I had a cup of the medium hot chocolate with homemade marshmallows and it is to die for! I even purchased Mindy's Hot Chocolate mix & homemade marshmallows for this winter season.
Human Canvus
Known for chocolate desserts. Tried their banana cake with icecream. Good.
Purvi Shah
Only went there for the hot chocolate. The best hot chocolate I've ever had and I don't normally like hot chocolate! Their hot chocolate is so rich and creamy and flavorful. They give you homemade marshmallows with your hot chocolate and they were amazing! Highly recommended. I would like to try their food as well but I'm not in Chicago often.
Chris Bruckner
Enjoyed a meal here on a Thurs night. Endive salad was delicious, while the grilled chicken & burger were both outstanding. Also tried the 72% dark hot chocolate... simply outstanding. Probably the best hot chocolate I've ever tasted. Thick & not too sweet. Dangerously delicious.
Outstanding service & a relaxed / romantic vibe. Great place to take a date. Well done!
Alex Misakian
Stopped by for a birthday dinner. Overall everything was great. All the food items were awesome beginning from the appetizers to entrees including the steak salad, chicken thighs, market grain bowl. However, the pork chop was the best thing we tried. Hot chocolate, deserts, and milkshakes were outstanding as well. The ambiance and decor was really nice too.
However, our waitress really took away from the night. She was extremely inattentive, slightly rude and consistently screwed up the timing of our orders. For example, we ordered wine to start and a cheese board with our apps. The wine did not arrive until we were done with the cheese boards which arrived first before everything else. For both appetizers and entrees we had to find and ask her for water and plates although it was clear that we were sharing everything as a table. Everything look a bit longer than it should or was mistimed. She also did not know the menu which I always really appreciate.
Overall, dinner was great but the service was really subpar compared to everything else. 5 stars for this place if not for the poor waitress and service.
Danielle Stewart (Beautyofallfaces)
Do not avoid this places. Mindy's Hot chocolate has some of the best food and hot chocolate in the city, this place is truly unique.
I had the boozy (mint chocolate and a shot of rum) lord...and that marshmallow......I wish I had more.
I also had a granola parfait, which had fresh fruit and amazing granola
The brisket Benedict biscuit was amazing so light and fluffy the whole thing just melts in your mouth
Can't wait to visit again.
Stephanie Schellhorn
Super cute and classy. I didn't get the chance to go during actual open hours, I attended a brial shower instead after-hours. The food was delicious and the drinks were very flavorful. The Mexican hot chocolate was to die for! Definitely looking forward to going again to check out their full menu
Eva C
Best hot chocolate I've EVER had. It was thick and creamy enough, I felt like it would stop my heart and clog my veins but I would die HAPPY. It hasn't been rivaled since. HAHAHAHA this place is a MUST to visit with your dessert loving friends.
The interior is tasteful and feels romantic even though it's close quarters to other customers. Seating is so close by lol it's a little space. Staff was attentive and gave suggestions and personal opinions. Price was up there, but since nobody makes hot chocolate like theirs - I am willing and glad to trade.
Kimmy
Baked Alaska was amazing, beer selection was plentiful and delicious. I love that all the desserts were the same price so it's a fair choice. Old fashioned hot chocolate had too much ganache for my taste but if you're a big hot chocolate lover, it's perfect (so I was told by the person I was with). Vanilla ice cream changed the way I look at ice cream...so good. Orange ice cream could've been better if the oranges used were taste tested before. Parts of it was too tart and some was perfect. Much like selecting oranges in a market. Our server was excellent to us and the people around us and had great timing. Perfect romantic environment!!
Drew Finkel
Delicious food, Great Desserts, Even better hot chocolate. Great place to go for a meal, for dessert, or just to get some of the best hot chocolate I have ever had. If you are just going for hot chocolate, they will only let you sit at a table for 30 minutes (unless you also order dessert) which seems to be plenty of time.
Seahorseman
I like to treat myself to some lovely pastries after tiresome day at the office with the children from coocamunga
Ethan Blair
May want to open the Sunday after All Out next year. I heard you’re closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
B H
great bagels! mouthwatering selection of baked goods. muggins and i ran up quite the tab here and it was totally worth it. also, bring your 4-legged amigos because they give 'em treats! it looked so good, i wanted to eat it myself. that would not have been fair to wally boy though.
Hanna Grannis
The hot chocolate is obviously amazing and the mac & cheese is sooooooo good! Go hungry
Megan Town
Food=3 Stars
Dessert=5 Stars
Pretty much all you need to know about Mindy's is that it is a dessert destination. I've had the food here and I was less than impressed in terms of the taste and value. It's basically overpriced bar fare, and you can get a better meal at a handful of restaurants that are just a stone's throw from this venue.
The desserts are fantastic--the hot chocolate here is a must, and they have many options to choose from such as Mint Hot Chocolate to Mexican Hot Chocolate. These decadent cups of hot chocolate are served up with a made from scratch marshmallow that really balances out the treat.
The service is always spot on, and the atmosphere makes for a great date destination.
Erica Taylor
I seriously didn't know hot chocolate could be so rich and delicious. I had an old-fashioned ($12 for 12 oz if I remember correctly, about 3x what I pay at my local coffee shop for a very good hot chocolate). But this tasted like drinking a melted bar of my favorite European chocolate. Yum!
Eli Bensusan
Not only the best hot chocolate I ever had, but also a great selection of drinks, dinner and breakfast. Perfect for a nice night out, usually crowded for a reason. I love how their homemade marshmallow melts in the hot chocolate.
Sean
Great place for grumpy old men who prefer sugar to other substances.
Scott Briggs
Really tasty brunch. I had the B.L.E.T and a sweet cake for a starter. Nothing dissapointed us here. The cherry Bellini was perfect. Our hot chocolate was very rich and very good. I highly recommend getting here early with a reservation because it is packed for a good reason. Cannot wait to return for a different flavor of hot chocolate.
Sam Kubica
Amazing! The food was fantastic and the ambiance was beautiful, too. Try the mac and cheese, it was the best I've had in a while! All the food was flavorful, though. You can't go wrong. The hot chocolate was very rich and flavorful.
live.bee. castel
Best Hot Chocolate I've ever tasted. It is so rich and flavorful but it doesn't overwhelm with a sugary taste. I will never think of hot chocolate the same way and I'm not sure my expectations of hot chocolate will be fulfilled without coming here. I live in Texas and I can't wait to go back to visit my mom to be able to come here again.
Elizabeth P.
The butterscotch hot chocolate was literally the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had! Also got the Mac n cheese which was very good. Focaccia bread with onion spread was okay, the bread was terrible (burnt on top and bottom, hard sponge in middle) but the spread really helped it out somewhat! Dessert was Cake of the Month and it was BEYOND DELICIOUS, WOW. Unfortunately, I have to give this place 4 stars because although the tables are small (creating a close, intimate space) you’re literally sitting so close to people beside you that it’s impossible to have a private conversation. Kinda defeats the purpose of the close/intimate/romantic space!
Samir Warty
Tasty savory and sweet brunch pastry items. Lines can be annoying, so plan ahead and place a pickup order earlier in the week. Items are a bit expensive for what they are.
Nabizko One
Food was absolutely fantastic...the atmosphere was superb; dimly lit, loved the music, and wonderfully decorated with a tasteful and unique combination of eclectic and contemporary Americana...can't speak highly enough about the food! Even if you just go there for the dessert...just check it out. Rarely are sweets the only reason I would go to a restaurant...this is one of those exceptions.
Jamee Smith
We visited about an hour before close and had to squeeze in a dessert order before the kitchen closed so keep in mind if you're going later in the evening. We had the roast sandwich and steak salad-- the chips with the sandwich were pretty bland, steak was a nice size and perfectly cooked. We also had the apple crisps-- the icecream on top was the best part but you really only get a dollop. The hot chocolate was very rich, just like drinking a candy bar. Overall, great date night idea for dessert and drinks but would go elsewhere for the dinner portion. Really nice mood and great playlist.
Melissa Matarrese
Quick & easy pick up. The line moved fast on a Sunday morning. The chocolate fudge babka was crunchy and soft all at the same time. The chocolate ganache tart was rich without being overly complex. Will go again.
Pepe Cetina
Awesome bakery. Quiche, croissants, babkas bagels. You can't go wrong. The best Mac N cheese in town. The run out fast, arrive early.
Paul Morgan
Decadent Desserts and hot cups of delicious cocoa are the order of the day here - lots of chocolate inspired dishes as well as other rich offerings to tantalize the taste buds. The list is not extensive but it's very well put together and the hot chocolate options are great - although none offer an alcoholic addition to spice things up further.
The setting of the restaurant is lively and yet also intimate - tables are close together but you still feel, with all the buzz of people around you, that you have private space at your table.
One thing I would like to see is more cocktail options - the menu suggests ordering a dessert with a bourbon cocktail, but there really isn't anything other than an old fashioned on the menu, as well as 3-4 other non-bourbon cocktails. I'm sure the bar can make something up , but it would be nice to have them pair up tastes for you, rather than guess.
Sarah W
The service was great. I did not like the pancakes, they were a very hard to describe texture.... Maybe like, a bad flann something.... I don't know I couldn't eat them they were really unpleasant. The server was awesome and swapped it out for a simple bacon and scrambled eggs, which was good. I got pumpkin spice drink with espresso, and it was divine
Greg Bunker
Great brunch, and even better hot chocolate. This is the most amazing hot chocolate I've ever had (it's like someone melted a chocolate bar into a cup), and with some many varieties I'll definitely be returning. Highly recommend either for breakfast or just for a hot chocolate to go.
Tohme Tohme
The best hot chocolate in the world. It is the place to go on cold day and have hot chocolate while it is cold and snowing outside. I would like and try their desserts but I did not have time. Nevertheless, i will come back soon and try more stuff and add photos and detailed review.
Genie B
One of the best hot chocolates i had! and i've had maaaany. It can be thick and rich so if you dont like that you may not like this but the good news is that they have at least 3 other hot chocolate options to choose from. make sure to order an extra marshmallow, cause the one they put on the drink melts right away and you wont get to enjoy it, trust me, you would want to. also a great place for a brunch date - with your love or with friends.
Jaqueline Stoutin
This hot chocolate is satisfying enough to constitute a good meal all on its own. I would say this restaurant is appropriately named. I have never been overly impressed by the food or service, but the hot chocolate is unrivaled. The homemade marshmallows add a beautiful cut of lightness to a exquisitely rich drink.
Victor Zaveduk
The server's suggestion that we try the special fried chicken was spot-on ... I have no doubt it sells out very quickly, it was hands down the best chicken I've had in ages. A small bird, so the meat is juicy and tender. The costing was to die for. Incredibly delicious!! Dessert and hot chocolate were equally good. Simply delightful meal from start to finish. We took a long stroll on the 606 to walk of our happy but full tummies.
Stuart Conover
I'm going to be off base from most of the reviews of Hot Chocolate. I'm not going to be sitting here raving about their deserts (OR Hot Chocolate!) I'm not going to be talking about their lunch menu. I've been here three times with my wife and a couple of friends that lived in the area and each of these times was on a weekend on their brunch menu.
There are a few other breakfast spots in the area but Hot Chocolate tended to have a fair price for their breakfast options with a decent portion size. I usually tend to enjoy slightly larger portions though it's enough to be filling.
I've had their pancakes, one version of their french toast, and a couple of their scrambles. Everything has been good so far and it's one of those places that'll be odd to not be at too often anymore with our friends having moved from the area. Great food though and if I for some reason find myself around there again I'd love to stop in and actually have a go at the hot chocolate that they are famous for!
MFDA (Michael F. D. Anaya)
All I had was dessert...and it was awesome! The brioche donuts were fantastic...and I don't eat donuts. Some other great items were the chocolate, peanut butter and banana (it was a custom order, so not on the menu) milkshake and the dark hot chocolate! If you love chocolate, you won't be disappointed.
Nicole Reed
Amazing hot chocolate and best Mac n cheese! Seasonal menus always have new and delicious items. Have yet to have a bad experience here (and I suspect I never will)! Personable and attentive staff and very clean facility.
Minh Chau
The pumpkin hot chocolate with Belgian chocolate is delicious, but rich enough that it's better to split it with another person. Overall, food was good, but downgraded two stars for service.
We arrived a few minutes after opening on Saturday and the place was packed by the entrance, with the hostess trying to figure out seating arrangements on the fly. This was a time sink and a money sink, as 90% of the tables were empty while the hostess tried to figure out where best to seat each party. Try a reservation system.
Another person in our party got a nasty snide remark from our hostess when she arrived and told the hostess that we were already seated. To paraphrase, "we don't seat incomplete parties." It was less the content and more the attitude. Come on, this is a service industry as much as it's a food industry. Be nice or it'll be tough for people to return, no matter how amazing the hot chocolate is.

We enjoyed our experience here. Waited for about 10 minutes to be seated. Gets very busy at night. We only had the hot chocolate and dessert here. Very yummy but very rich. Fair prices. Definitely a great place for a date!
Lisa Sromek
Satisfy both sweet and savory palates at this welcoming spot! The high ceilings and varied seating areas make the place appear at once bigger and cozier than it is, but this place can get crowded--especially at brunch--so come early or late if you prefer to avoid the crowds and experience speedier service. Both families and groups of adults will feel comfortable here, since the seating both accomodates and effectively separates (though not in an obvious way). The menu changes seasonally--but if the giant chocolate chip pancake is on the menu, know that you are missing out if you order something else!
Gordon Zhao
I was surprised by their cocktail I had as I wasn't expecting much, I also tried their hot chocolate that my SO ordered, it was rich and full of flavor. The service and atmosphere was great, I would say they're on the pricier side for drinks (chocolate and/or alcoholic)
Maddie Bridge
I really enjoyed my experience here. I went with my boyfriend for my birthday brunch. The hot chocolate is like a dessert in a cup. I didn't care for the Bloody Mary, I would skip that and get another hot chocolate instead!
Jessica Paulson
The hot chocolate is Rich and delicious. The food was excellent.
Prudence Roper
This HOT CHOCOLATE was so good, words can't describe it...But I'll try!...If you're looking to indulge your taste buds in decadence this is the place.. They carry a variety of delectable items... However, I came for one thing...Hot Chocolate! The cocoa comes in several different variations.. Medium, dark, old fashioned etc...The medium hot chocolate was velvety smooth with a very rich creamy flavor. It was topped off by what appeared to be a home made marshmallow...You have to try it at least once! 😊
Michael Calabro
I went to Mindy's hot chocolate expecting the best desserts in the city and what I got was an average sugary treat. There was really nothing special about their desserts. I am a donut aficionado and was unimpressed with their donuts with chocolate dipping sauce. The chocolate was good but the donuts were below-average and reminds me of the donuts I made as a kid using Pillsbury dough
Matt Mather
This place seriously never disappoints. Been several times this year and it only gets better! Great for kids and adults!
Erin Thor
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. Famous for Chef Mindy's desserts, but the dinner is what keeps us coming back! The menu changes with the seasons, but the food never disappoints. They have an outstanding burger, pork belly appetizer, and unbelievable drinks. The bartenders there are top-notch. They really know what they are doing. Additionally, any dessert I've tried has knocked my socks off. Because the menu changes this review can't be too detailed, but just know that you won't be disappointed!!
Lara Poeppelmeier
Went to brunch here with some friends on Sunday and we got there a little before 10 am. It was the best thing we did because it filled up quick!
I loved the atmosphere of this place and our waiter was super friendly and knowledgable about the menu and chocolate! Who knew how many special notes and flavors of chocolate there are. I got the half and half hot chocolate which is half hot chocolate and half coffee. Can I have this every day!?!? Seriously the best hot chocolate I have ever had!!! Also a must try is the homemade donuts. They are covered in cinnamon and sugar and are served with a raspberry jam. They are perfect with your hot chocolate. It almost took me back to Spain with my hot chocolate and currios. Yummy! A must try for brunch!
Erica Means
Picked up bakery goods for breakfast and everything was amazing. Hot chocolate is what Mindy’s is known for but the muffins, rugelach cookies, mini coffee cake, and cinnamon rolls were to die for! I really don’t think you can go wrong with anything from here!
Mona Alshorah
Mindy’s is CONSISTENTLY excellent. Whether you get something savory or sweet, it’s great. We love any of the desserts that have ice cream or sorbet. If you don’t have time to dine in, get your hot chocolate to go... and an extra marshmallow is always worth it.
Clare Gerstein
Mindy's Hot Chocolate is one of our go-to places. They have a small but carefully curated menu that thoughtfully uses local and seasonal items. They have favorite and rotating dishes so you can always find something good. And did I mention the desserts? Save room for hot chocolate, too. Street parking can be found with moderate difficulty. Dress is smart casual and the noise runs to energetic.

I’ve been traveling for business for 30 years. Love Chicago and typically stay in the Michigan Ave tourist area. This time we had to stay a long way from our meetings. Wicker Park area. Super nice.
My client is vegetarian so I asked my hotel where to go. She mentioned this place.
I had maybe the best cheese burger I’ve ever had. We started with the Mac and cheese. My client had the quinoa bowl. All dishes were terrific.
We also had hot chocolates all around. I recommend the Mexican chocolate.
Don’t miss this place.
Bill Jones
My wife and I stopped in late one (very cold) night for some hot chocolate and dessert. The Mexican hot chocolate I ordered may be the best I've ever tasted (and I think my wife felt roughly the same about hers). We got a dessert flight, and while many were very good, we didn't think any were out-of-this-world.
Benjamin R.
The chicken sandwich is a must order item and the octopus was superb as well. The crispy chicken thighs and gnocchi I would NOT order.
The dessert is of course amazing as well so be sure to get the ice cream sampler!
Jonathan Richard
I originally went to Hot Chocolate for the dessert, as one might expect, but stayed for an entree + dessert and was pleasantly surprised. The entrees were pretty good - I think I just got a burger though...nothing fancy. For dessert I had the donuts and found them to be too doughy...but that's a matter of personal preference, you understand. The ambiance was really nice, though I found some of the seating near the front to be kind of awkward - we had to lean a bit too far forward and share a smallish table during the meal. Overall it's a good spot though and I would go back and try one of the fancier entrees...at a real table.
In Tend
Really delicious gourmet menu. Had the Risotto balls in tomato sauce as an appetizer with the rainbow trout dinner entree. Yummy but I can't say the price is worth it. This would be a 5 star rating if the portion sizes matched the expectation on my wallet.
matt johnson
Definitely a little pricey, but the food is good. Went for brunch and tried the burger and tostada. Was not disappointed.
I sat by the kitchen which is open, making it a pretty neat experience. However, I noticed a bottle of Aunt Jamima syrup in the kitchen... if you are paying that much money for brunch, at least get some higher quality ingredients.
Nick Pecora
We had a group of eight and sat right next to the kitchen which was a treat in itself. I think we ordered almost all of the apps and they just kept getting better and better. I had the famous burger and it did not let me down! Every other guest at my table had something that blew them away. And we must not forget the hot chocolate! Oh boy the hot chocolate!! We will be back!
klownfromouttatown
Some of the thickest, creamiest hot chocolate you'll ever have. Too rich though, I usually can't finish one alone.
Oh but the marshmallows are to die for, they are homemade and o so delicious! A little pricy for hot chocolate but definitely worth a try.
Leon Waksmundzki
Great unique meals desserts and the hot chocolate is tough not to get before a meal.
Very rich and full of flavor w no gel marshmellow.
Nice front garage door opening like front provides an open air (bug free) fresh open air exposure.
Meals change often w nice variety.
My 4th or fifth visit from the northwest suburbs.
Ryan Mackman, MBA, MHA
The burgers are great, and the desserts are incredible! When I lived in Chicago, I'd drop by just for dessert once in awhile. The malted milk chocolate and the mint chip milkshakes are outstanding. Do not come here if you're on a diet. Seriously. Their brioche doughnuts and bucktown buckeyes are awesome. Oh, and the signature hot chocolate is obviously something you can't go wrong with, either.
Louise McCulloch
This Restaurant does not disappoint! It is a deffinetly go to lunch location. At the restaurant they are known for there amazing and incredibly unique hot chocolates. But what many people don't know if how good the deserts and lunch is! This restaurant was so good, not only the food but also the service and the atmosphere. If anyone is looking for a fun lunch spot hot chocolate is the place to go.
Jordan Wear
We live a few blocks away and regularly sneak over for a late night hot chocolate or their other desserts. But for the time being during COVID, they’re only open Saturday and Sunday at 8 am to whenever they sell out. We go EVERY weekend and absolutely love the pastries, bagels, breads, bialys and everything they rotate in. I highly recommend for a quality morning
Drew Mertens
Whenever I have to beat up the Young Bucks, I prepare with some Mindy's Bakery
Emily Garcia
I love the hot chocolate, but there really needs to be a smaller size offering. If they had a size half of what they have now (and hey, half the price would be nice too), this place would be perfect! Don´t get me wrong, the hot chocolate offerings are great and the taste is delicious, its just hard to enjoy THAT much thick hot chocolate.. even a sugar fiend like me starts feeling sick after the 80th gulp. Still went across town just for this place and hey, I don't regret it. Woo!
tomato waterslide
Hot Chocolate is in the name for a reason. After dinner, one hot chocolate each was more than we could handle, so my friend and I split one – great size, delicious, and their options were so interesting! The food was good, too, but pretentious and pretentiously-portioned... I'd be up for just coffee here, or, you know, hot chocolate.
YoungBook
I feel bad for the owner of this shop because one of its biggest promotions happened during one of the worst times that it could've occurred
Pablo Mojica
This place blew me and my girlfriend away. We had gone eating out on the town and ended up here by chance. We wished we had more room for food after enjoying some hot chocolate and bread pudding. Highly recommend. By don’t give a full five because I can’t speak to the rest of the food.
Leigh Harlow
Decadent and delicious hot chocolate. This was my third time in Chicago and my second time going to Mindy's. Only downside is that the desserts on the menu were all a little out there. I'm always going for a more-traditional, very chocolate dessert, but there wasn't anything like that on the menu.
Austin L. Wright
We come here about once every two months. The kids have the pancakes and I get the burger. The quality is exceptional and well worth the wait if it takes you a few days to get reservations. One of our favorite breakfast/lunch places in Chicago.
Alexis Mattos-Vabre
The pumpkin hot chocolate (with the homemade marshmallow) will change your life! But be advised, it's super rich and you will likely wander away feeling somewhat overcooked. Maybe share it with someone. The Mac and cheese is also amazing(ly) rich, and only an idiot would have both at the same time *cough*. Overall, it's someplace I would definitely mention to others if we were cold and in need of a warm drink.
Dylan C
If you're looking for a chocolatey desert then this is the place to be. The food itself is nothing memorable but that's not why you should be coming here in the first place. For dessert I had the praline napolean and it was delicious. Their hot chocolate is very sweet but great on a cold day in Chicago.
Shannon McGovern
I went to Hot Chocolate for the first time a few months ago and LOVED it. Their veggie breakfast is delicious. My friend and I savored every bite. We also got the french press coffee which is to die for. I have been back multiple times and have been impressed each time.
Thongsy Singvongsa
Hot Chocolate anyone?? The name of this restaurant can throw some people off. They serve so many things besides hot chocolate although dessert is their signature.
The portions are quite small but everything we tried was just so robust with flavor...small portions were just right. I ordered the steak and it is by far the best that I've had. The dish was garnished with jalapenos and this home made sauce. The sauce was just phenomenal!!! mmm mmm. And who would have thought that jalapenos can go well with steak. This is the type of creativity Hot Chocolate is known for. Their desserts are the best and forever changing because the chef likes to mix things up and try new things.
The ambiance is great for a date or small group. The noise level is good...you can actually enjoy a conversation without having to shout across the table like at some other restaurants.
In overall, great place to check out for food and definitely dessert. Be sure to purchase a Restaurant gift certificate so you won't break the bank dining here.
Nikki Reed
Phenomenal! Brunch or lunch, this is a true experience, from menu selection to ambiance.
The Mexican Hot Chocolate is by far my favorite, though the “Oat-ly” is a close second. Great espresso too!
If you haven’t tried the mac & cheese, you are missing out on a cocotte of pure love. Honestly, if the hot chocolate doesn’t cure what ails you, the mac & cheese will!
Other culinary delights enjoyed at our table were the pulled pork sandwich, the burger and a blt. So. Much. Yum.
If you live in Chicago, go here and experience a truly wonderful meal. If like me, you’re a visitor from out of town, add a meal here to your must-do list. You’ll be more than glad that you did.
Ivana Chen
Mindy’s is a Chicago favorite and I’ve come here a few times for the hot chocolate and fantastic desserts. It is pretty pricey and their hamburger is awesome. Unfortunately, their Mac n’ Cheese was reminiscent of Velveeta cheese even though I wanted to love it.
Osasu Igbinoba
Love it here! Good service, good food, love the hot chocolate. It was a bit noisy due to the amount of people here. I'm planning on going back with my friends in the winter to check out the desert menu. Can't wait!
Colleen Maxwell
I think I liked the Mac and cheese here more than any of the desserts I got, but it's also up there with some of the best macs I've had. Come with a group and try multiple desserts as you'll want to take a bite or two of all of them. Great for a romantic date or girls night out.
Ian Amin
At first glance, some prices feel steep ($9 focaccia, $8 soups), but when it arrives at your table, you won’t be sorry.
Wine and cocktails don’t disappoint.
Burrata cheese was delicious.
Mains are reasonably priced and wow’d me.
The bone-in pork chop that I ordered was the best I’ve ever had. Other diner had the Mac and cheese which is extremely affordable, superbly rich and oh so flavorful.
Of course, the hot chocolate is superb. Order a few extra marshmallows because they’re great.
Will be back soon.
Katie
We went here for dessert and to try the hot chocolate. We split the Medium hot chocolate which was amazing and smooth, and perfect, but I was so happy to only have half. I would have went straight into a chocolate coma with a whole cup. Also had the pumpkin layer cake. Delicious. It had such good flavor and a mix of textures, plus the pumpkin seeds around the edges of the plate were fun, different, yet tasty! We had a drink as well, but it wasn't a highlight for me.
Michelle LeWan
Appetizer of mussels- excellent. The filet and sea scallops were entrees- Excellent and very good. Bananas dessert was small but great flavors and textures and temperature, very multidimensional. But the best was the hot chocolate. Decadent chocolate sugar BOOWWWMB! Mexican hot chocolate and old fashion... magic drinks!
Mary Wynn
Hot Chocolate is always top-notch in every aspect - the service, the ambience, and - wow! - the fooooood! I've been eating here for years, and it just keeps getting better. Mindy Segal is an amazing chef, but her brilliance at pastry shines out of every dish, from her amazing burger, to the always bliss-inducing quiche. OMG! That quiche!!! Brunch is always crowded and noisy, but well worth braving the crowds for the excellent service and wonderful food. Dinner is always an experience, including a great, ever-changing soundtrack, fabulous cocktails, and perfectly dim lighting. Make sure you make your booking at least a month out - though flexible parties of 2 might get lucky with a cancellation or bar seating. And grab a bag of hot chocolate mix on your way out! ;)
Catherine Chu
The hot chocolate is fantastic! It’s thick and rich with a delicious marshmallow on top. The appetizers are also good. I would recommend the burrata with sourdough and the Brussels sprouts
Amy Rumbarger
Hot Chocolate is one of my favorite spots for a date night or special occasion. It's a cozy atmosphere with amazing, decadent food. The mac n' cheese and doughnuts are always the best thing on a cold winter night, and of course, any of their varieties of hot chocolate are incredible. Tip: If you're with a date, split a hot chocolate for an extra buck and it's the perfect amount without giving you a sugar crash.
Idyl E.
Mindy's Hot Chocolate is the perfect place to go to on a freezing Saturday night (or any other freezing night) for some hot cocoa and/or desserts. Although for me, the hot cocoa was enough, otherwise, I would've been popping out of my pants! I ordered the black and tan, which consisted of 1/3 hot fudge and 2/3 medium hot chocolate. It was amazing...so rich and chocolaty that I felt like I was drinking liquid fudge. The homemade marshmallow was the perfect addition to the hot cocoa but was delicious enough alone. I wish I had a bowl of these marshmallows to eat!
I've dined here once for dinner. I could not remember what I ordered, so I guess it was just alright.
I'd definitely be back for desserts after having dinner close-by because there's always room for something sweet!
Diana Pressel
All of the small plates and entrees (cheese plate and chicken thighs especially) we sampled were delicious, but the deserts made the meal!! Great spot for a celebratory dinner and I hear their brunch is good as well.
J.
A night out with friends to enjoy something savory and sweet.
Looking over the menu the only thing that caught my eye was the burger: House-ground heartland beef, organic bacon and widmer 4-year-aged cheddar house-made pickle on a garlic-toasted sesame bun served with chips.
The chips were tasty and the burger was seasoned perfectly. My only grip... it needed more bacon. You can NEVER have too much bacon.
I ended the night with the Brioche donuts w/ hot fudge and caramel corn. Best freaking caramel corn... ever. Seriously. The donuts were moist and soft and it practically melted in your mouth.
Emily Ortiz
As a Bucktown resident, this place is mere steps from my apartment, but even if I lived far away, I would travel for the excellence that is Mindy's Hot Chocolate. The burger is easily one of the best I've ever had and you can't beat the ambience. Don't even get me started on the desert menu.
Layne Langford
I frequented the old Revival location when I worked downtown and their plain bagel is the best bagel you will ever have! Donuts are also fantastic.
michael brooks
the sautéed morels reminded me of my childhood... they were that amazing. simple butter cooked perfection!
this place is classy and modern. probably a little too trendy but if you're looking for a special night out the waiters make sure your experience is complete and that you feel pampered.
not to mention their hot chocolate is outta this world! i went for the mexican hot cocoa and it was everything i could have hoped for and more.
blackhat
yeah this place is great but let me tell you about Scott Colton
Shelby Drulis
Of course the hot chocolate is delicious here (I went for the Mexican hot chocolate, which has just the perfect amount of cinnamon and spice for a delightful afterbite), but the food is top-notch as well. The breakfast potatoes are perfectly salted with a great crispy exterior, and the charcuterie scramble had delicious and large chunks of meats and cheeses in it.
plandersen33
Love the hot chocolate. Especially the white. The food is starting to slip. I wondered it they had someone new in the kitchen. The duck Benedict I got last time was a dark brown mass with no flavor. it was so shocking I couldn't bring myself to take a picture of it. I hope this was a one-thing...
Savannah Buss
While in Chicago, we were looking for a unique place to stop and grab some late night dessert. This place was perfect! The atmosphere was not your usual Chicago feel, but that's a good thing! They were able to accommodate a large group, and even did something special for the bachelorette!
Gregory Kick
The dessert is very good. But, if you want it you have to suffer a small army of the most unpleasant staff that I have ever encountered. The hostess has been something between surly and indifferent every time I've been there. When we ate at the bar, the waiter/bartender spent more time talking to his friends than providing service. The waitress serving to-go orders wasn't particularly interested in helping me place an order, but was more than willing to tell me everything I couldn't order after the fact. If you go, make sure you're in a good mood because you're certainly not going to have a good experience.
Devin Ingram
Don't listen the reviews! I had great service and a great time there. First of all, this restaurant isn't the type to give the speedy service that of which you see at like Cracker Barrel or other cheap places. People who come here are generally those who dont wanna be constantly interrupted by someone asking if we need more water. The waitress I had was great, greeted us with a bright smile and hello. She was great with delivering our food and drinks. The atmosphere was cool. Rustic and maybe natural was the vibe I had gotten. I like to come to smaller restaurants that have exceptional foods.
I would definitely call for a reservation or make one online a few days in advance. The place is bustling with people coming in for lunch and dinner. The food was not too expensive and the portions were great. I'd recommend the Cubano if you'd like a heavier meal. The mac n cheese was tasty as well.
Dessert was very good! I had called ahead of time and made sure the waitress knew it was my date's birthday. She had the cooks write happy birthday on the plate and put a candle in the mousse! Very very good needless to say. I had a wonderful experience. I'd recommend to others
Theodosia Harris
The dinner menu is ok, but they have the absolute best hot chocolate in the city! Dare I say in the world? I've many places far and wide, and no one has come even close. I challenge someone to prove me wrong.
Anthony Staffa
As it says in the name, you need to have her hot chocolate when you come here. I had the pumpkin one last year in the fall and it was spectacular. We had little doughnut bites in chocolate sauce which was also very good. I am not sure if anything will ever beat her hot chocolate.
Apostolos Christofalos
It's very cosi and friendly place.
The medium hot chocolate was amazing. It was very sweet though. But it is a hot chocolate. You expect that.
I had a "something" biscuit that was not ok. Just not my taste.
I think there are many other places better than this in the neighborhood.
Antonio Mac
Hands down. The best hocho in the nation! The locals are always standing in line just to get a sweet, rich, unmatched chocolate taste! If you're from out of town, definitely stop by and have a drink! It'll change your standard for hot chocolate forever. Cheers!
Laura S
On the recommendation that they have the best Mac & Cheese in America, I stopped by for dinner & appetizers. I didn't realize that the desserts were the main draw. The hostess actually seemed surprised that we weren't there for just dessert. Next time! We were quickly seated at the counter. Will definitely return. Tricky parking in this neighborhood. Just keep circling, you'll find a spot.
Emily Redfern
Cute, cozy little place off a bust room. Plenty of space inside. Wonderful drinking chocolate and homemade marshmallows were divine. I've just gone her for dessert and have not been dissatisfied.
Alhaji Mansaray
Hot chocolate was really good. Other food was okay. I came with my girlfriend and they picked a pretty bad place to seat us. It was uncomfortable, cold and cramped. It was also right by the dishwasher and where the waiters and waitress stop by to ticket orders and print receipts.
F. Queirós
I was hoping to go there today but I've been told they're closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Michael Kies
This could easily be five stars if you're going simply for dessert or pastries, as that is what they excel at. Dinner, lunch and brunch are all solid but some items they prepare outside the above listed are average. Overall, great place to eat and a staple in the neighborhood.
Nina G
Went here for dinner with some friends and the vibe and wait staff was great! I ordered the burrata which was delicious! Also ordered the medium hot chocolate and was probably the best I've ever had. Highly recommend.
Deonna Melton
Saturday brunch: The hot chocolate which they are known for is very, very good! However, it can be pricey $16.00 if of course yu add the brandy, cognac or whiskey. The food is meh. I had the grilled cheese on pumpernickel bread. It was just odd. It came with the classic pairing tomato soup. But again, nothing special. My fiance had the French Toast he sated it was good, but just not for him. Too much fruit. All in all, in terms of food, others may say is good, my opinion, it's subpar. My recommendation is to eat before you go, have some dessert and a hot chocolate. Please keep in mind, expect long wait times on the weekend.
Jason Harrison Fisher
I'm reviewing this place for what it is: an upscale dessert restaurant & bar. $$$$.
My hot chocolate was exceptionally good (and exceptionally expensive at $8).
A nice treat for every once in a while I suppose, but not a place to frequent.
Heeseon Suki
Initially thought the portion was tiny and worried that we'd be hungry after the entree but the portion size was perfect. Should've split dessert though because it was so rich and sweet. Our waiter was great but have to say our hostess was not really all that friendly or welcoming.
Jessica Velazquez
Friendly service, awesome selection of bake goods.
We should have done some research before going tho. Dining in not option at the moment. Take out service.
Kristina Carrillo
Brunch is amazing! I love their seasonal menu, everything I've had has been delicious. Also, best hot chocolate ever, hands down!
Omar Iqbal
Only got to try one of their warm apple-something dessert and it was very tasty. Ambiance was alright, kind of tight seating with dim lighting. Price per dessert was around ~ $13 from what I can remember.
Joseph Hallak
Way more than hot chocolate! The food is exquisite and the menu is always updated making worth a visit every once in a while. Never been disappointed by the choices or flavors!
Desiree Kabel
Great rich hot chocolate and food!
Rebecca Miner
Hot chocolate is delicious! This place would be great for date night. Share a cup, one is too heavy. Didn't try the food menu, but it looked great.
Lizette Penalber
Average breakfast - eggs, potatoes.... Small portions. The hot chocolate is exactly why you come here. It makes my stomach hurt it's so sweet. And the homemade marshmallows add the extra touch.
Anna Knes
AHHHHHHHHH HOT CHOCOLATE IS THE BEST PLACE EVER. Everyone needs to go there if they ever want to experience high quality hot chocolate. Other than great hot chocolate, they also have great food and HOMEMADE MARSHMALLOWS. I honestly want to live there only for their drinks and marshmallows...
Sonia Ott
The place is great but disliked the atmosphere. It is too loud, and is too small for this space and the amount of people being served on Friday nights. The tables are too closed too each other..you can actually hear the next tables conversation. Also. It is not good for an intimate night with your significant other because you can't even hold hands...the table setup makes it difficult to reach one another and it makes you feel like you want to climb over the table to be sit it....this goes for all the seats made for two located against the wall on the left. Horrible....really bad experience ...
Amanda Ybarra
We went here for dessert, and they have the best cheesecake I have ever had. The hot chocolate with the marshmallow is a must. It's definitely worth a visit.
Jen Song
Love their Mac and cheese - it's so ooey gooey and is the platonic ideal which I think all other Mac and cheeses should aspire to be - imho. The richness of the hot chocolate itself makes it a great item for sharing. The bread app with ricotta and honey - luscious. Fantastic desserts that I wish would rotate more frequently. A smidge pricey, but always a solid choice.
Arteee DG
Oh my goodness! Before coming to stay in Chicago we had been looking at places to go to near our hotel, and Mindy's stood out to us even before stepping foot in Chicago! Upon arriving we were simply going on a little evening stroll around the 'hood when we passed by and said "why not?". Best decision we made tbh. The service was amazing very friendly and laidback environment. The dessert we got, I forget the exact name but I believe it was a raspberry red velvet cake of some sort? It was SO good there was so much going on but it all came together so delightfully. The dark iced chocolate was...words cannot do her justice guys. She was so good we had to stop in on our last day (literally we werw waiting for our lyft to start the trip back home) and pick one up. It made the taxi ride feel like 10x more homely, sipping on our delicious chocolate drink as we watched our last glimpses of the neighborhood we had grown so fond of. (I cropped out my face cause i was being silly and y'all don't need to see all of dat trust me lol)
Pathik Shah
Pretty awesome place with a very relaxing ambiance and probably the best hot chocolate I ever had! The food looks good here too but I didn't try it so I can't comment on it but I rated it four stars because the prices are quite inflated even for a specialty shop.
Susan Campbell
We came for the hot chocolate and it was amazing! It is more of a sipping chocolate versus a beverage! They give you a homemade marshmellow. Sorta pricey, but quality.
Luis Figueroa
The hot chocolate is very pricey. BUT it is rich and the best hot chocolate I've ever had. Too rich for my liking. If you're a chocolate lover this will be the place for you.
Victoria Gnatoka
Amazing place. The hot chocolate is outstanding. Medium or Mexican are my favorite. Menu looked good too but we did not book a table before to be able to enjoy it. Will definitely be back.
S M
Hands down best hot chocolate. The dark and Mexican were my favorites.
Irene Gibbons
From the appetizers to the dessert, everything is delish! We had this delish pork belly salad and the macaroni and cheese! Delicious! However, you can't forget the hot chocolate! Everything is so rich! You can tell the chef has a passion for cooking.
Kat Jovey
This place blew my mind. The hot chocolate is rich and the marshmallows are amazing. The food was so good too. Great menu and lovely service
O Kaur
Amazing food and hot chocolate of course :)
Erin Rogers
I personally loved it. I don't live in Chicago but I did visit for about 3-4 weeks. It was delicious and the staff was friendly. I appreciated the portions since I'm not usually a big eater.
Marie LeCa
Mindy's is a great experience from start to finish. I went there several times, I was always impressed with the quality and finesse of the food. Mindy's is known for their inventive desserts, but the appetizers and the entrees are tasty as well. I recommend their peanut butter milkshake which is to die for!
Rebeca Perrone
The food was delicious as well as the desserts. Chicken sandwich is huge and the mussels appetizer was enough for a meal. Street parking was relatively easy. Table reservations and bar seating
Sagar Patel
The famed hot chocolate was delicious though not the best ever. Yet it is definitely not $7 good. Unfortunately the venue does not allow seating before certain hours even at the bar. Staff seemed a bit snotty as well.
Adnan Baleh
I went to Mindy's very confused as to why the most popular thing at a place called Mindy's HotChocolate is the crispy fried chicken. The moment I took a sip of the hot chicolate I understood why. I mean the chicken was great, very soft and crispy but the hot chocolate was to die for!
Dan Gocek
Good dinner spot. Burger is fantastic. Had sweet potato gnocchi last time I went and it was delicious, though the portion was disappointing. Desserts are a meal unto themselves.
Kayla Morgan
I've been twice. The first time was quite a few years ago and was excellent. The second time we went to literally just get hot chocolate and we had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks. Clearly they need an extra barista if wait times are that rediculous.
Jose Otero
My Favorite cake to eat when telling off the EVPs of my company
Paige Vinson
Daughter and I loved our meals - the grain bowl and the pasta with ricotta (forget the name) - obviously made with top ingredients and fresh. Ended by splitting the Mexican hot chocolate - rich and spicy - yummy!
Kheelan Gopal
The affogato hot chocolate was phenomenal and we had one of the daily specials cakes that was also very good. There will be a wait so be sure to make a reservation or be ready to wait for at least 30-45 minutes.
Benjamin Foster
5 stars for the high quality of the food. Minus one star because the hot chocolate was so rich it made me sick. For your own safety do not drink the whole cup.
james walton
Spacious and comfortable venue. Had lunch of smoked salmon on bagel.the fish was tasty and service good. parking took a while and I circled the block and did find something across the street. A good place to try out
Kenta Kobayashi
Ace Steele comes here after failing to eat Kenny Omega for dinner.
Mariusz Z
Perfect place for a date. Their desert menu rotates, but you will always find something sweet and delicious. Pretty good selections of bubbles and beer. All reasonably priced. Try to make a reservations during peak periods.
Gustavo Martinez
Food so good it’ll make you fight the elite
Nelson Bradley
The hot chocolate was great, but I was most impressed by the food. So good. The steak salad was especially delicious. Reservations recommended.
Dria Washington
The richest, most delicious hot chocolate I’ve probably had in my life. Absolutely amazing. Their grilled cheese is good too.
Robert Gierwatowski
One of my favorite places in the city to bring a date. Their menu always changes, but always has delicious dishes. Perfect place to come for a desert. They have a pretty extensive selection of beers, wines and champagnes.
Neil M.
If you haven't had the hot chocolate here, you're missing out on a rare treat. I had the medium hot chocolate (darkness of chocolate not size), which comes with a homemade marshmallow. It's to die for. Other stuff is probably good, but why not just get that delicious hot chocolate.
Giscard
Came here for the hot chocolate (which was the best i've ever had sooooo smooth!) but I walked away thinking i had one of the best burgers ever. The meet was moist cooked to perfection very savory! A bit expensive but well worth the price. oh and if you go there expect to wait in line!
Tito Joseph
I only go here for the amazing desserts, so my review is only based on that. 4 of the dessert options change seasonally and 4 stays. Great service and knowledgeable staff. Always a great experience. Also pretty good drinks.
Brian Hill
I'm not really a fan of chocolate anything, but the Medium Hot Chocolate was AMAZING!! The bartender wasn't very attentive, and the burger was ok, but the hot chocolate? AMAZING!!! I had no idea it would be THAT delicious.
Just a Guy From Chicago
Definitely a unique twist on enjoying hot chocalate . Our food was very well prepared and presented. Good atmosphere and great customer service. My wife loved this place !!!!!
Joe Nunez
Best desert place in Chicago! The hot chocolate tastes like a liquid candy bar and the marshmallows are homemade. The food is great too but I mostly visit for the deserts.
Caro Ruiz
Amazing place, amazing location and better chocolate. It just made my freezing cold day!! And it looks so cozy!!! It is conveniently located in an awesome vibrant area.
I'll be coming back for sure!

You thought deciding what career path you should take was tough? Prepare yourself for one of the toughest decisions of your life: What to get at mindys?
You make a line and mentally prepare yourself to keep calm and be sure of yourself to know what you’re going to get. All that goes out the window once you get closer to the decision making point and see all the baked goods.
There is one thing that brings comfort: whatever you get it will be great.
Enjoy!

We went there after hearing about this place on the Food Network. I can very easily say that the hot chocolate here was unlike any I have ever tasted. Just incredibly yumm!!
wyndl jones (Brian Mendenhall)
Coffee is gluten-free but that's about it. Service is ok but we were forgotten a couple of times. The server made up for it by comping the dessert my compatriots ordered.
Alfonso del Granado
Service is not always good — in fact the maitre’ds are often just plain awful — but the food is really good and the hot chocolates are transcendent. I drag people here from all over and endure the staff just to get a cup of that glorious nectar of the gods.
Carol Lin
The burger with the fried egg was really good, but a little on the salty side. The desserts are pretty amazing of course. The only reason this doesn't earn more is because of the snooty wait staff and the high pricing.
Jared Meadows
I regret not leaving enough room for a full dessert, but the hot chocolate from Mindy's was so exceptionally decadent that it constitutes a full dessert by itself. If you've ever seen the hot chocolate scene from The Polar Express, this is how I would imagine the hot chocolate in that movie.
Kevin
Simply the best hot chocolate I've ever had. Delicious desserts and surprisingly intimate atmosphere, despite the smaller space.
Rachel Kendrick
I always bring people who are visiting here. It’s is the best hot chocolate you will ever have in your life. They have to go or you can sit but it gets really busy, so get there quick!
Brendan Neff
If you haven't stopped by Mindy's on the weekends for their current walk up offering, your missing out on some of the best pastries Chicago has to offer.
Christine Coode
Brunch as Mindy's is phenomenal! The hot chocolate is incredible, although if you don't have a strong sweet tooth - I'd recommend sharing with someone.
Whit
I ordered the 72% dark hit chocolate. It was pretty good. I like their homemade marshmallow. My only criticism is that their "hot chocolate" was lukewarm.
Therese Weber
Hands down, best hot chocolate! Brunch menu includes nice selection without being overwhelming. Good food.
Andrew Martin
I'm not usually one to go for Eggs Benedict but I couldn't resist the one they had available when we were in town this past May. The beef, the potato latke.... I need to have this again. Great doughnuts and coffee too!
Jess Mean
The piece de resistance, and the reason why you should come here, is the dessert and hot chocolate. Mindy Segal is a multi-nominated James Beard Award honoree and it shows in the dessert presentation and combination of unique ingredients. The menu changes with the seasons but I have always loved the Mexican hot chocolate and donuts with dipping sauce. Insider tip: The lounge area in the front is a perfect way to cap off a romantic date.
Cory Gleason
The Mexican hot chocolate was to die for. The focaccia and meatball hoggie, not so much. We found the focaccia was drowned in olive oil. The meatballs in the hoagie were quite dense and reminded us of canned spaghettios and meatballs. The marinara was sparingly used and seemed run of the mill. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was nice and cozy.
Mira Serrill-Robins
Solid American comfort food. Not too crazy or exciting in terms of food. Has a full bar. Smallish portions of appetizers and desserts, but it's carby and filling. The mac & cheese is insanely cheesly and really good, and is traditional mac & cheese. An order of pretzels comes with 2, slightly smaller than street pretzels, with a really cheesy, flavorful jalapeno monterey jack. Petite salad is very simple, basically just greens with vinaigrette, probably not worth the $8 or whatever. Very loud, seems like a spot for birthdays and girls' nights out, so maybe not the spot for actual conversation in a group, but for a small number of people, and with a louder voice, you'd be fine. It was crowded through dinner, but it cleared out a little before 10pm on a weeknight and got a lot quieter and easier to get a table.
Karotte
Average and kind of arrogant waiters, very high prices. But the hot chocolate is amazing, so rich and smooth. A lot of options for milk-alternatives.
Clyde Young
Anyone here from the cm punk press conference at AEW recently???
Mattison Hain
I love stopping in after dinners in the area. I usually get the medium hot chocolate but I got the oat milk version this time. I would high recommend it.
triston murray
Great atmosphere great service . Came here on a whim one Wednesday night. I'm a fan of the beer selection and of course there's the chocolate. ;)
**update: and i stupidly left my wallet on that visit. but thankfully the staff was able to return it!
Yvonne Salman
They have the best hot chocolate your palate can ever taste, rich , creamy, ridiculously amazing . Their dessert menu is outstanding!!!
Grant Langlois
Great entrées. We disregarded the advice on the menu and went overboard on dessert, ordering a dessert and two hot chocolates. Chai HC was aggressively spiced, and the espresso HC was literally perfect.
Scott Seaholm
If you're into chocolate, especially HOT chocolate, this is the place for you. If you're NOT into that kind of thing, this is not for you. They also have food and it's good, but a good third of the menu is various anti-cold chocolates.
Amey Phatale
What an amazing Hot Chocolate!! Little so unhealthy though but it was the best one.
Amy Ravit Korin
Supporter of local producers and the seasonal menu highlights the best of what the midwest has to offer. Soft pretzels with 3 floyds beer sauce are great, the pork belly with cider is a great starter. Brunch is worth waiting in line for! The hot chocolate is to die for with awesome homemade marshmellows! Best desserts in the city - and Chef Segal has been nominated for James Beard Outstanding Pastry chef - i love the bannaa bread pudding!
Anaisabel Galvan
The place is amazing. Awsome vibe and great staff. The barista makes the best hot chocolate I've tasted. The food is also on point.
Liz Noftle
The hot chocolate here really is out of this world. It's more like sipping chocolate, it is so rich and decadent. I always make the mistake of trying to order too much food on top of the hot chocolate — one day I'll learn!
nicholas williams
The hot chocolate is to die for and the sorbet flight was exquisite. We enjoyed the passion fruit and cara cara sorbets. The French press coffee was not good and tasted cheap
Russell Ruplinger
Seriously good eats! I had the burger, and while it might not break the top 5 on my list, it is certainly up there! Hot chocolate is a treat after dinner.
Piotr Gorczynski
The dessert and drinks are great. The food was pretty good, but due to the portion size, the price was slightly high. Nonetheless this restaurant is a Chicago must!
Danny Zeckhauser
Service was great. No waiting. Wouldn't have gotten seated if we hadn't arrived promptly at 5:25pm. Ceasar salad, cheddar biscuits, baby artichokes were superb.
Mohammed Al Shamali
Great atmosphere and the food is delicious 👌🏼 …
Sherrine M. Thompson
We had the porkchops and braised shortribs. the chops were meaty, tender and well seasoned. the braised shortribs were delicious, tender and seasoned. our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. she added to the wonderful dining experience.
Ahmad Bahaitham
The best hot chocolate I ever have in my life. Try it and you will never regret it. I still feel the taste in my mouth!! The medium hot chocolate is the best for me.
Christoper Daniels
Amazing hot chocolate. This is exactly what you picture when you think about down home goodness. Homemade marshmallows are just the cherry on top. Love this place
Lauren Kelley
Delish crafted coffee drinks, fantastic wine list, and although the menu is small, the food is flawless. Dim lighting makes it a very romantic spot.
Diego Escobar
This place is really astonishing. The decoration makes you feel a peaceful mood. The deserts are delicious and you can't miss the hot chocolate.
Michelle McGlone
Love love love Mindy's! It's absolutely amazing. And the food is spectacular! I can't wait to go back to Chicago just to have a hot chocolate at Mindys!
Peter Au
Decent food and nice atmosphere. Hot chocolate can be a bit too sweet to my liking. Overall I would come back again.
Nika Lofton
incredible gluten-free bagels
Richard Kick
Love the tastes and smells that I experienced on my first visit! The staff was friendly and helpful. The less than perfect rating is only because the prices are a bit high, but worth the occasional indulgence.
Robert Galle
Food was fabulous...fast service.
Hot chocolate's (our group had 4 different blends) are devine.
Pricey but worth it!
Jordan Stryker
This place is perfect. From the service to the food this place has never let me down. Let the servers give you their suggestions if you dont know what you want. They have never let me down. The best service I have ever had so far in Chicago! I cant wait to go back
Kevin Kryah
You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but the black russian bagels are a must-have. Be sure to get there early!
Margaret Carton
the menu changes quickly here but the food is consistantly good. It is definitely a go to spot for a dessert or drink. The service was great, the bar tender was willing to chat about the food and drink. The service was very fast and they where so nice.
ALEX C
Love their Hot Chocolate. Although it's a little bit pricey, worth trying out once. This is a good place for brunch.
Kate Krebsbach
Delicious food, inventive creations, great service. It's a little loud, so don't expect intimate conversation, at least for lunch. Have been dreaming of that hot chocolate!
Victoria Palacios
Food here is amazing, and you have to make sure to save room for dessert! The hot chocolate is obviously to die for, but so are all the other sweets.
Alexa Heinrich
I miss Mindy's HotChocolate so much since I moved to Florida last year! Everything was always outstandingly delicious, and the food just gives you the warm fuzzies.
Matt Housey
Food was great. A little pricey but seemed worth it since we're on vacation . The hot chocolate was too rich for my daughter, but I enjoyed it! 😋 …
Megan Bos
Love this place. Get a reservation for dinner or dessert. Menu changes with the season. Split an entree to get a hot chocolate and a dessert - but everything here is good!!
Hassan Ajami
The Old Fashioned hot chocolate was creamy and delicious!
Christine King-Ries
First time having brunch here and was less than satisfied with my meal. I'd recommend Mindy's for hot chocolate and dinner only.
Christofer Hamilton
The hot chocolate is great. But I was surprised how good the food was! Would come back for a meal and not just the hot chocolate in the future
Nick Day
Great Treat before taking on the Elite
tapan chaddarwala
As the name suggests the place is famous for its variety of hot chocolates. A decent place for brunch, you better go early since they tend to run out of items on the menu.
Christopher Meo
Mexican hot chocolate and freshly made donuts made this birthday boy extremely happy. Although this place is more than just desserts....you'd be a fool not to get your sweet tooth fix on
Stephen Boisvert
Nice solid burger. Fantastic Mexican hot chocolate. Nice space and an interesting laid back vibe. However it was very expensive.
Raphael Tisch
Fantastic brunch and tasty cocktail options. This place focuses on local ingredients and high quality food. Great for your locavore minded diners.
Katie Haseeb
Hot chocolate and dessert were pretty tasty but extremely overpriced. The portion size of the $13 bread pudding was downright tiny.
Jason Harbison
I love chocolate and during the winter it is a must. Be careful due to how rich the drinks are but bring a friend and enjoy. Mexican is my favorite as well as dark.
Jason Brunsell
Wow! I had three cups of hot chocolate because it was awesome. Breakfast was great but service was disorganized. I think the manager was covering for our server.
Shelly
Delicious desserts and hot chocolate. A cool atmosphere with nice low lighting at night gives it a good ambiance for a date night or hanging out with friends.
Mark Chowaniec
The bartender Catrea was an absolute delight, the Old Fashioned is delicious and the Charred Octopus we cooked perfectly and paired with great flavors and spice.
yash bhatia
Cozy place with amazing chocolate drinks.Limited food menu ,wish there were more items to choose from, but overall chic modern place to hangout and have sip of hot chocolate in Chicago wintery nights.
Gin Yu
I liked the food, the Mac and Cheese is amazing, great hot chocolate. However it's a place that I won't be going to often. Feels like it's a place for special occasions.
Alex Hall
I only had the hot chocolate which is really good but pretty over priced. I recommend going here once "just to see", but I wouldn't make it a habit or go out of my way to come back.
Reshma R
We had dark hot chocolate and old fashioned !! And also coffee nougat which was mind blowing !! Definitely one should try if you have heavy chocolate cravings !
Paul Antonios
Their hot chocolate is amazing! I think their $15 minimum is a little weird to have but their food and drinks are very tasty
Matthew Pfister
Fantastic hot chocolate, probably the best I've had, but the service was rather slow. Make sure you make a reservation the place is always packed.
