Reviews of Bang Bang Pie & Biscuits

Banana cream pie every Wednesday is the real deal! Split the egg onto your biscuits and you’ll thank me! Everything here is made from scratch and they update the menu with every season. Please be warned that on beautiful days (good weather) that there may be a line which would lead to some menu items being 86. They have a beautiful backyard dining area but keep in mind that inside is pretty small. Dogs are allowed in the backyard. Parking is scarce so public transit, walking, or other means is recommended. The staff are just so lovely and have great recommendations when you’re stuck between 2 dishes. They always seem to have a smile, everyone is laughing and can be seen grooving to the music. All in all, a positive vibe with some amazing food. Honestly, if the food was mediocre (it isn’t! It’s so good) I would keep coming back here for the staff.

A 4.4 star rating. The chicken pot pie is excellent!! The ingredients of shredded chicken, peas, carrots and spices are comforting and filling. Also had the sausage biscuit with “poached” egg. The sage and ginger gave the sausage a nice zing to the fatty flavor, however, it was slightly tough on the chew. The biscuit was very nice but a bit dry for my taste, lacking a bit of moistness. Still thoroughly enjoyed the meal. It has been a while since ive been here, but its as good as i can recall!

Super friendly service, lots of options for pie and even coffee to go with it. I went for the Key Lime and the Coconut Chai. The Key Lime was 🔥🔥 so damn good. Especially topped with the Vanilla Bean Whipped Cream. Everything homemade and yummy. Now I must say the Coconut Pie was a complete miss for me. It tasted like nothing at all. Not good, not bad, it was like eating whipped cream with a dash of cinnamon.

A very cool and vibey place to grab an afternoon snack in the city. We had the key lime and it was delicious! I would say a top 10 pie place nationally. The flavors rotate and there were definitely some creative options on the menu.
Space and seating inside is limited, so you should consider the weather before visiting.

Yum, yum and yum!! Worth the wait, time, energy and effort. We started with biscuits and ended with sweet pies. We had basic biscuits and gravy, loaded biscuits and gravy, chorizo biscuits, the sweet biscuit and some candied bacon. Wowza, delicious. Then we moved into key lime pie, blueberry buttermilk pie and honey pie. We topped everything off with coffee and iced tea. We enjoyed everything start to finish. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. Everyone was so friendly. It was a great experience. Did I say yum??!!! YUM!

Cute outdoor seating and tiny inside. Friendly servers. The biscuits have fresh ingredients but the flavor combinations are just ok. Overall the biscuit experience had too much bread and not enough topping. I feel like if they’re going to do them open face they need to cover both sides. The pie was uninspired - the crust was tough and not at all sweet or flaky and the texture of the pie filling was a little gluey and chunky. The bacon was tasty but not very crispy and I could only taste the sugar flavor, not the pepper. I’m not mad I went but I wouldn’t go back.

Best breakfast I've ver had, and with a pie! This place looks super tiny, but with the large back patio, there's more than enough space to eat here. There was a line to order, but it moved quickly and there was still plenty of seats once I ordered. The home made biscuits are amazing. They are the crumbly style, not a flakey one. I don't usually think of pie for breakfast. But getting a slice of pie with my sandwich hit the spot! The sandwiches are a great take on the classic breakfast sandwiches. All of them are stacked with toppings and definitely a sit down kind of meal. The pie selection is also wonderful. Get here early because of how popular they are, they might sell out of the pie you want! The band bang brand hot sauce was also extremely tasty.

This place is tiny but if you can get a table and eat there, it's worth it. Otherwise, they do takeout. The biscuit sandwich was only ok but the biscuits are top notch. I'd rather get the biscuits by itself.
The quiche was pretty good as well as the chocolate hazelnut pie.

Fantastic food. I had the strawberry rhubarb pie and the sausage biscuit. Both were delicious. You do have to wait in line on the weekend but it was worth it.

Best pie and biscuits ever! I live 4 hours away and no other biscuits can compare. Everything here is great from the pies to the grits, plus they make homemade lemonade! Service is always super friendly, and fairly fast. They get a bit busy sometimes, but it’s worth the wait and the employees are always cheerful and work hard. Plus they rotate different pie flavors so it’s always worth frequent visits to try everything. Great options for vegetarians too. Don’t miss Bang Bang if you’re in Chicago!

This is literally my happy place. I go way to often because you can't go wrong. The biscuits are always fluffy and filling and the pie is everything you dreamed of and more. Do you need some time in the quiet? Go sit in the pie garden and relax. It's always busy on the weekends but Michael and the Bang Bang crew make sure your food comes fast and hot. You will NEVER regret getting that extra slice to take home with you!

This place was so delicious. It’s hard if you are lactose intolerant like me because many options have dairy but there’s still some yummy things to eat here.
The bacon biscuit was soooooo good the pie was delicious too but I was so satisfied and full from the biscuit that I only have a few bites of pie before I let my friend finish it for me. They also loved it.
Service is friendly. Can get kind of crowded and during the winter inside is warm but there was constantly a draft and just cold air from people opening doors from the front and back. I just wish an employee or something should be put in place to keep those doors closed during the winter. That was my friend and my biggest complaint about the place was just the door situation. We kept getting up just to close it. Food is fantastic though.

Saw this shop featured on "Somebody Feed Phil" and knew I would have to visit. The biscuits were incredible, veggies were fresh, and ambiance was peaceful in the outdoor patio/garden area. The Blue-Barb pie was incentive and delicious. A true gem for a quick detour between O'Hare and downtown!

I cannot rave enough about this place. It’s incredible. The line is worth the wait. The biscuits are flaky and buttery and soft. And the best part? They are MASSIVE!! The pepper jelly is ridiculously delish. The quiche perfection. Everything I tried was good including the Arnold Palmer. I cannot wait to come here again!!

This is a cute eatery in Logan Square. I had a sweet tooth and couldn't decide which pies to eat so I ordered the buttermilk & key lime pies and they were both delicious. My daughters ate the biscuit and they couldn't stop raving about it.

Like the best pies around. The chicken pot pie is great but that southern tomato is stupid great. Pies are very filling and would recommend!

Biscuit? Fluffy and delightful. Sausage? Perfect. Pie? Apple was not too sweet, delightful. Outdoor seating? Lovely. Overly enthusiastic sparrows? Chonky and adorable.

Come early to avoid lines - I got here around 10 am on a Saturday and there were maybe 10 people in front of me, by the time I finished my lunch at 10:45, the line was already down the block with 30+ people in it… ALL THE PIES ARE SO UNIQUE AND DELICIOUS!
Summer Pie - literally an VANILLA ICE CREAM PIE with lemon curd on top. Loved the bits of sage in it, gave it such a unique flavor. Berries were so succulent - bursting with fruitiness.
Chocolate pie - beautiful, decadent, and rich. Loved the chunks of sea salt on top.
Apple cider pie - hands down the most aesthetic pie of the bunch. The apple cider jelly layer on top reminds me of fruit roll up. Cheesecake layer was delicious.
Of the 3 I tried, I would probably order the Summer Pie again because it was so refreshing and I’ve never had a pie like that.
Now on to the savory dishes.. Biscuits & Gravy with Sausage was the heaviest thing I’d ever eaten. The gravy is probably made of 99% meat fat or something… Albeit delicious, it definitely left me with food coma after.
Summer grits was fun to try, not sure how I feel about the pickled blueberries but it was a fun flavor experience.
Overall, amazing pies, solid savory dishes, FANTASTIC SERVICE, and cute and spacious picnic style seating area. Easily one of the best spots in Chicago!
Amanda Rivkin
The best & moistest biscuits hands down!! I got the pimento cheese + egg biscuit that came with lemon butter and strawberry puree. Also amazing blueberry rhubarb pie! I loved the topping. My only criticism is that the grits had way too much black pepper in them but otherwise were prepared really well. Super cute outdoor picnic tables. 5 stars to the amazing employee who built us a tent to enjoy our food in the rain. Excellent service.
Catherine Norman
In Chicago for the weekend, and happened upon this place. Incredible. Had the ham and sausage biscuits; both were flavorful and unique, without being too funky for a breakfast biscuit. Well portioned for a substantial breakfast. And the pies! Generous and kind staff. We chatted with the owner for a bit who gave us lots of good recap for the rest of our time here. Great COVID-friendly outdoor patio.

LOVED this place! I happened to stumble upon this pie shop and I'm so glad I did! I loved the rustic, homey feel to this place. The pie slice I had was so tasty and the biscuit was to die for. Something about this combo is so comforting. With both an indoor and outdoor space, this is the perfect spot to sit and enjoy life with a friend or even by yourself. This is such a gem, I recommend this to anyone wanting a cute shop to have a slice of pie and enjoy life!
Cassidi Hunkler
This place exceeded expectations for me. The food was so great and their biscuits are the best I’ve ever had. Got the fancy grits and savory biscuit. Their greens are delicious and the pimento cheese/pepper jelly combo on the savory biscuit was to die for. Can’t wait to come back here!
Ted Conroy
You can eat outside and the birds will walk up to you like you're a Disney princess. Food and staff are great too if that matters.
Emily
I absolutely looooveeee Bang Bang Pies! I’ve had many of their pies and my husband and I even had them for dessert at our wedding last fall in honor of my late father. They were very accommodating and I love trying all their different flavors! Staff is always nice and also they have good cold brew and tea at the store.
Kathy Ortega
Free refills on drinks. Slices are a bit skimpy for prices but everything is hand made and tastes awesome so it evens out. No parking and its kinda small so that sucks. Gets crowded real quick. They do have outdoor seating.
Tried the matacha cheesecake pie and absolutely loved it!!! Also had the bacon biscuit....good. Im hooked!!!
AlmazB
Lovely people grits were not worth 12.00 for a small plate too salty Mediocre pies. Straight unseasoned over salty white folks food. I SAID WHAT I SAID. THE pepper Jelly was wonderful. The biscuits are divine
D Ro
This place is incredible! Such good food, nice outdoor eating area. The staff though really made it worth the wait. While waiting in line, the staff came out and were chatting with us, gave us free samples of their cookies, and helped us decide on what to order. I can't wait to come back!
Tori Gay
I had the Pimento and Sausage biscuit and I crave it all the time now. It was excellent. Nothing is better than a buttery biscuit with some pimento cheese and homemade sausage.
The atmosphere is really low-key and casual. There’s only a handful of tables inside, but they have a ton of tables outside.
TIP: if you are wanting a specific flavor of pie, call ahead of time. Because they are popular, their pies sell quickly.
Jessica Johnson
Got there when they opened to snag the limited edition "Three Cherries For Sweet Revenge" hand pies. They were so good! Elder Emo approved 👍🏼 …

Outstanding blueberry rhubarb pie. One could say the filling was a little bit too sweet, but the flavor itself was seriously yummy and complex. I thought about this for a while since I visited in May - it really is the best pie I've had in my life so far. The crust is a perfect flaky butteriness.
The plain biscuit was dense and flavorful, although too salty for my personal taste.
Bree Nacsa
We recently had Bang Bang Pie cater our wedding in lieu of traditional wedding cake. Their communication throughout the process was top notch and the pies were a huge hit. I would definitely recommend using their catering services!
Hind KH
It’s a must. It is totally worth a visit. Their atmosphere, tables, staff, and pies are so good. I ordered a blueberry pie and I definitely recommend it. I like the tables outside more, but it is more suitable in warm weather. I didn’t have a chance to try a lot things, so I should come again.
Tori Schmitt
I noticed the line down the street on Saturday mornings and wanted to know what the hype was about. We went on Saturday morning and each got a variation of biscuits and gravy and key lime pie. My boyfriend literally gets biscuits and gravy at every breakfast we go to, and he said this was like at the top of the best! I would have to agree. They have incredible quality while bursting with flavors. The key lime pie was one of the best I've ever had. We can't wait to go again and share with our friends. Cannot recommend this place enough. My pictures do not do it justice, go and try it out for yourself!

This place is so good I got online just to leave this review.
The quiche is fantastic, highly recommend.
Richard Boly
For me good pie is found in homey rural diner-type restaurants, my favorite being Cooky's Cafe in Golden City, MO. Pie is fresh, slices are big, and prices are reasonable.
Well, Bang Bang doesn't stack up to Cooky's. It's food truck roots mean tasty smaller portions for higher prices. The $12 chicken pie was like an appetizer. Excellent flavor, big shredded pieces of chicken flakey crust.
The sweet pies were closer to room temperature. Probably allows you to taste everything better, but on a hot day sitting outside, a cool slice o pie would have been better. My wife wasn't big on the crumble crust.
Bottom line, if less of a higher quality product for a higher price is your thing (on a diet?), then this is your place.
Fahimeh Hosseini
I loved the vibe and the patio and the pumping pie.
Drew Looyenga
Stop reading and go. Get biscuits. Bring a pie home. Die happy.
Lauren Zottarelli
I came here based on recommendation from my local pie store and it did not disappoint! The crust in the coconut chai pie is excellent and I’m not a huge coconut fan. Great atmosphere and kind staff.
Mary-Helen Pitman
I went to Bang Bang this weekend, and could not have had a more pleasant, Covid-safe, delicious experience! The food was filling and tasty as ever. We sat out in the back and had a whole corner of the yard to ourselves! The staff are so kind and even topped off our coffee a few times. Best biscuits and pie in town!

Second time returning to Bang Bang Pie and the hype still lives up to it. Much less seating in the winter unless you want to sit outside in the cold, but the food is still spot on. The Chicken and the Chili Pot Pie are must haves as usual - I think the hot sauce goes so well with them. They might look like a smalls, but both are definitely very hearty and satisfying. We also took the Key lime pie and Chocolate Caramel pie to go because there was no way we could pass those up :)
5 stars for service too! Friendly and helpful as usual.
James Hawks
We came right at opening and good thing, the line was 15 people deep within 5 minutes. The bacon biscuit and sausage biscuit were amazing! A cool perk is the iced coffee is limitless. We also ordered a slice of the strawberry rhubarb pie and honey pie, both were excellent!! Service was great and they are very kid friendly.
Laura Pearson
I’m always searching for the best bakeries wherever I travel and Bang Bang Pies did not disappoint! The pie and biscuits were delicious. The outdoor area was very charming and lots of seating. There was a long line on a Saturday morning to order, but food came pretty quickly.
Querida Ellis
I've been a couple of times and had the biscuits, pot pie, and regular pie. It's always been delicious. The place is small, so keep that in mind when dining in groups, but the outside is open in good weather.
Tiffany Tran
I wish the food came out warmer but it's still delicious! I got a raspberries and cream hand pie and it was the perfect blend of crunch and soft. The bacon at both this location and the one on Damen are ALWAYS fantastic so i highly recommend any dish with that!
Paquita Poindexter
Nice place to go if you want to eat outside. I love love love their biscuit items. For this meal, I got the smokey chix. It was very tasty. It was helpful to ear with the pickle to break up the richness of flavor. Additionally, I got their hash brown casserole. The casserole was flavor explosion of cheese, horseradish; the crunchy cornflakes were a nice touch. Service is always great and they typically have no issue with purchasing part of the meal for here and part to go.
Kurt Suchman
Phenomenal experience, cannot wait to come back! I work at a very small and extraordinarily busy biscuit resteraunt in Seattle, so I make a point to scope out any other biscuit-centric businesses on my travels. We stopped at Bang Bang on my way to Midway Airport, and it was the perfect last meal for my time in Chicago.
The website warns that there is often a wait out the door on weekends, but it moves fast. Although we were probably outside for 10-15 minutes, we were able to grab seats at the bench and ordered the Pimento biscuit, gravy biscuit with the works (poached egg and homemade sage-ginger sausage patty on top of a biscuit and gravy) along with a plethora of pies for the plane. The biscuits were soft and tender, and the combo of ham, pimento cheese, blackberry jam and pickles on my biscuit was unlike anything I've had before. The apple cider cream pie was divine, just like eating an apple pie with loads of vanilla ice cream already inside, as was the daily special orange curd and pistacio pie that didn't even make it to the plane.
Given the wait outside, we thought we'd be there for an hour at least, but we had our food hot and ready before we could even get impatient! I even had a great conversation with the person taking my orders, bonding over our respective biscuits. Great design, and some really cute merch for sale along with their own personal coffee, hot sauce, and biscuit mix. This is a must visit every time I'm in Chicago.
Christine Coode
What an incredible place! I am from South Carolina so I know good biscuits and these biscuits were amazing! I had the scratch biscuit with butter and jam and my friend had the sausage biscuit. Both were excellent. The pimento cheese and pepper jam on the sausage biscuit were delicious. And the scratch biscuit was fantastic with the honey butter and jam!
Jessica Johnson
Stumbled on this spot a couple years ago and it is delicious, no other way to put it. There is a line out the door every time I visit but the staff is friendly and helpful so the line moves fast. I got the BLT(yummmy)! It is served on one of their made from scratch biscuits and the bacon has just the perfect amount of sweetness to it. Got the Honey Pie with blueberry compote. This pie had so much honey flavor when I was expecting very little. Everything I’ve had at Bang Bang Pie never disappoints. There is seating inside and a lot of seating outside. You can even get a whole pie, Key Lime Pie is my favorite, I always get a whole one to take home.
Robin Lynn
We love this pie shop! Key Lime Pie and the Chicken Pot Pie are absolutely delicious, among others. Quality ingredients and just so good! Highly Recommend.
Ricardo van Dijk
What an awesome surprise! We came here craving for some desert to fulfill our sweet tooth and did not leave disappointed. The chocolate pecan pie was amazing and the hot cider was the perfect match to it! The staff was also incredibly welcoming! We will certainly come back.
Brysen Kawamura
If you are in the neighborhood this place is a must, if you aren’t in the area then make the commute. The place has the best pie and biscuits I’ve ever had. The jams change by what is seasonally available. They have a assortment of pies that change all the time. Everything is freshly made. The inside has a few tables but has a large outdoor patio. This place is amazing in the summer.
John Lee
Came here to try their biscuits and pie for early breakfast. There was a line outside the door right at 9am. I ordered the BLT biscuit with egg and limited chocolate pecan pie. Both were absolutely divine. The bacon was candied and crisp. The biscuit was very delicious. The pecan pie was gooey. I only wish I could have tried all their other stuff during this visit. Until next time.
Nitya Joshi
The pie was absolutely amazing, definitely a place I would recommend and I can’t wait to come back and try some other flavors. The service is awesome and after waiting a bit for our pie, they gave us a free slice to apologize. It was super nice and shows amazing customer service!!
Mark Erspamer
Great spot to grab a quick breakfast or brunch! It is a cozy space with only 4 tables but they do have counter/stool seating as well. Food and drinks came out quickly so even though they only have 4 tables you will still find a spot. Was hard to choose between biscuits, grits and a pot pie but ended up with their bacon biscuit.
The biscuits were amazing! Light and buttery, which adding bacon, sautéed greens, an egg and house hot sauce made for the perfect breakfast. Had to save room for pie which we had the Key Lime and Maple Bourbon and the crust on both of these made both of these pies. The flavors in both pies really popped showing off their fresh ingredients.
Street parking is abundant and they are conveniently located near the California Blue line and several buses. Would definitely come back for more, but will probably wait until summer when their outdoor seating opens up!

Everything about our Bang Bang Pie experience was amazing. We saw this place featured on Someone Feed Phil, and when we found out we were coming to Chicago, made a point to put it on our itinerary. It’s a TINY a place with a large outdoors seating area. It was a rainy yucky Sunday so there wasn’t much ability to sit outside, but our timing was perfect and we were able to get a table in the warm and dry. We all had the same thing-the bacon biscuit… and it was like a party in my mouth. The candied bacon was epic, and the rest just made it all work amazingly. All the staff we encountered were totally upbeat and positive, and clearly hardworking. By the time we were finished, the line was consistently out the door and down the street. We called in a take out order 6 different kinds of pie, and those were just as fantastic. We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed this experience!! Thanks everyone.
Duane Brown
Pies, Lemonade and biscuits are the perfect combination. Great service and chill vibe. A great hood to check out
Megan Smith
Yummiest biscuits and pot pies. Cookies were also delish. Sadly, we didn't get to try any pies but we'll be back.
Brian Adams (cellowned)
I’m from Atlanta, and these are the best grits I’ve ever had. The pepper jelly and pimento cheese were also INCREDIBLE. Friendly staff and fast service even when it’s packed! This is now a Chicago MUST for me!
Deanna Dement Myers
Good is always wonderful and fresh. The shrimp and grits are outstanding. All the pies are awesome but you should not miss the tomato pie. Its the best!
NL. C.E.
As a young girl growing up in the south, biscuits and gravy are a staple meal. This place serves a hip, more updated version of this classic meal. Unfortunately, it didn’t hit us like it should. The “works” was incredibly salty and the sausage fat (more like a burger) and bland. The “avocado” was also nothing spectacular - there was too much biscuit. Overall, it was okay food and ended up with heartburn - definitely not something I would come back for again and again.
Crystal Lee
Loved the strawberry rhubarb pie!! The chicken pot pie was flaky but the filling tasted a bit... sweet? Not savory enough
Jose Gomez
Food was great! The biscuits were so good and that bacon was delicious. Their patio is very spacious and nice. The staff was also super friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this place 👍🏽 …
Joy
I was sent here on a friend’s recommendation, and it did not disappoint. I mean look at that slice of pie. It was Apple Raspberry, and it was as tasty as it was beautiful.
Vik Gandhi
Had the chocolate coconut pie and the blueberry pie. Very good. Also had the sausage biscuit with ginger jam and egg with bacon biscuit. These biscuits are quite dense but they have good flavour. No need for lunch if you have a biscuit. The caddied bacon was great! Definitely recommend!! Make sure to follow me!!
Arnab Jana
This is a place you do not want to miss if you live in the city or visiting Chicago. We first saw the place on Someone feed Phil and had decided to visit. We did that today and it was 100% worth it. My husband had ordered biscuit with pimento cheese and pepper jelly, I had biscuit with sausage and peach-habanero jam and my daughter had biscuit with ham and peach-habanero jam. We also had candied bacon on the side. The biscuit was moist and crumbly and incredible. The pepper jelly was just divine. But the crowing glory was the chocolate s'more pie we got - it had an awesome crumbly base and the top melted on our mouth. We chatted with the owner while buying some pepper jelly to take back home to Texas and he threw in a half a portion of blueberry pie for free! Such a wonderful person and what an amazing customer service! He has now become the favorite persona in the whole world tor my daughter. Please visit this place when you can - would love to come back when we come back to Chicago.
Jennifer
Very friendly staff, safe covid procedures, good pie, and decent iced coffee. Top it off with a large sunny outdoor dining option and you have yourself a lovely weekend morning!
Jose Hernandez
My friend and I came here for pie. I got the "black and blue" slice and he got the "s'mores" slice. Overall the place was pretty awesome, but know that it is pricy.
The black and blue was fantastic. Perfectly sweet, crumbly crust, and gooey and crunchy. 5 stars
The s'mores one was extremely gooey so tearing off a bite of the marshmallow was a lot of work. Even though the brownie was good, it was very hard to eat. 3 stars
Marie Reece
Delicious pie and great outdoor patio space to enjoy. Came here for a slice for my son’s birthday and was not disappointed. Friendly staff also make this an enjoyable place to hang.
joey G
Simple, beautiful, thoughtfully prepared food. The portions aren't huge but they're quite comforting and filling. Their menu has grown since I last visited and it's all tempting. The biscuits are of the mealy type and they're very tasty. Good Louisiana style house hot sauce. The pie is great. I would eat it more often if it were just a little less pricey. Various choices without being overly creative. Many crusts have lard and it's worth it if you don't mind; there are always pies available with vegetarian crusts too. Helpful and friendly staff. A+
Aisha Imtiaz
I got the vegan chili pot pie and it was good - nothing extraordinary in my opinion. It wasn't a huge pie but it was enough for me. There's very little seating inside. If you go in the winter you may not find a spot unless you want to sit outside. The food didn't take too long to come out and service was great.
momo
Came to Chicago to visit some friends and was told this is the go to place for some spectacular chicken pot pie. The guy at the service counter was super nice and engaging. I ordered the chicken pot pie with the recommended key lime pie. Best chicken pot pie to date. The chicken meat wasn’t dry. The peas and carrots weren’t overwhelming and the bites were consistent in taste. The key lime pie was the best dessert to finish off with. It was not too tart. You could tell it was fresh made that morning. Great experience and I hope to come back on my next visit.
Susana Torres
Good biscuits. Friendly service. I do think you can get better pie in older Chicago bakeries for a better price.
Edward Culbreath
Great key lime and smores pie. Came back the next day for breakfast. Very good as well. Great biscuits and grits.
Amarnath Arvind
Had a vegetarian feast here for brunch, outstanding flavor in each and every item, savory, sweet and biscuits with gravy were outstanding. Grits and spuds were very flavorful as well. Will surely put this team on my regular to go spots
Eric Biederman
Had a tasty brunch here. Pie crust and biscuits good. Love the way they prepare and present the eggs. The gravy on one of our dishes was a bit cold, thick and gluey, but everything else good.
Brenda Seal
The biscuit was so absolutely amazing I forgot to take a photo, but the plate in the background is proof that every bite was delectable!!! Biscuit with ginger sage sausage, cheddar cheese, egg, and jam...at $8.50 reasonably priced and a must eat! I also sampled several pies...chocolate peanut butter pie - 10 ⭐️’s
Hilary Kircher
Every time I visit Chicago, I make my friend take me here! I love this place- one time they got something incorrect on our order and gave us complimentary dessert!
Colin McCarthy
I was pleasantly surprised. I had a 20-minute wait to order and still had a great experience. Unique and cozy place.
Leah Lehman
Bang Bang is one of my go to spots for a pick me up! Between the pie, coffee and cozy atmosphere, you can't go wrong! The pie selection is regularly switched out so you never get bored with the selection. My absolute favorite is the banana cream pie and the chicken pot pie.
Leanne Yee
Slightly steep price on pies and drinks but its not bad. Loved the chai latte and defo would come back to try the other pies
Ashley Hale
YUM 😍 I’m eating my way through their menu and loving every minute of it! Don’t let the long line deter you, it moves fast and it’s so worth the wait. Delicious, unique biscuits, incredible pies, and bottomless iced coffee on tap. What more could you want?? …
Sarah L.
The food quality was excellent, and the cleanliness of the place was excellent as well. The guy who helped us was patient since it was our first time visiting and gave us great recommendations for both brunch and pie.
We ordered the gravy biscuit with the works and the ham biscuit. Oh, my gosh! So tasty. Ordered their lemonade, too. So good with the perfect tartness.
Nathan Bilancio
Exceptionally good pie and biscuits. During the summer months, they have a large outdoor seating area that's pet friendly. There's typically a line out the door, but it moves pretty quick and is worth the wait!
Kent
This place has consistently been one of my favorite places in Logan Square since Day 1. The pies are always great, but those biscuits are some of the finest biscuits I’ve ever experienced. Oh, and the iced coffee and hot sauce are also fantastic. Buy some hot sauce. It makes a great gift or souvenir for that special someone.
Bre B
We come here once a year when my mom visits from AZ. We are never disappointed. The food and service is excellent! Definitely worth the trip and the wait! One of these days we will be able to attend there pie baking classes....:)

I stopped in to get a pie for father's day, and I'm so glad I did. The plain biscuit with jam and butter was a great treat for the ride home, and the coffee chess pie was amazing hours later.
Leonardo Tanoue
This place is amazing! One the best sausage and gravy biscuits I ever had. I usually don't like grits but this one was just something else.
Fred pecoraro
I can't tell you how much I love this place. Michael a well done job. If I keep coming in there I'm going to look like one of your pies. That's how good it is I have to cut myself down to one week a day coming in to bang bang pie shop! 🤘 …
Austin Cole
I ordered the pimento biscuit and peach pie. Both were delicious! I went on a Saturday morning and there was a small line outside the door, but it moves fast.
Giorgos Tsolakis
I had pies delivered at my place neat UChicago. Excellent service, even better pies.
Denise
Awesome biscuits, probably the best I've ever had! Jam and honey butter great flavor not too sweet. Strawberry rhubarb pie filling was awesome also not too sweet but the crust a bit tough. Coffee soso. Grits also awesome 🤩 …
Jeffrey A. Powell
Good taste. Small portions. Quiche was good, but pricey. If you live in the neighborhood, it's worth it. Pie was ok, but not special. It has an outdoor space for restaurant eating. Locals seem to frequent the restaurant. Good food, too far to travel from Southside.
Derrick Tung
So good... Food and service is some of the best ever, every single time. Thank you for being such an amazing staple to the neighborhood.
Dallas Holladay
Delicious biscuits, soft and buttery. Grits are also tasty. The graham pie crust is killer.
Maximilien MOUQUET
A very popular and busy place in the mornings.
- Very good pies!
- Mediocre coffees (so far)
Nice place if you live in the area!
Arson Danger Song
I found god in a pie today.
Sarah Burdash
Had the ham biscuit with and egg and a lemonade.Very tasty. Very large portions. Loved the patio.
Justin Addison
The pot pie was some of the best I've ever had. Crust was flaky and the filling was savory without the overwhelming taste of chicken stock you get in some other fillings.
Julissa
Food was great. Iced coffee was good af ngl. Pie was smaller than expected. Overall the vibe was cute and friendly
Jake Harr
The pie was excellent and the customer service was awesome.
Marisol aleman
Cant say enough about this place! Always a grand slam! The biscuits and pot pies are out of this world and the pies make for the perfect cure for s sweet tooth. The staff is always welcoming and friendly (but not in a annoying fake way). Love this place!
Draven Romero
A bit pricey but delicious! (The pie is amazing, but I dont reccommend getting more than one slice at a time, one is the perfect amount)
Rich Hitchens
Excellent pies extremely friendly staff. They need to keep the door shut for those who are dining in. Freezing breeze. Also I would recommend free refills on all drinks. Some what expensive but high quality food.
Deisy Garcia
We drove here to eat from Nebraska. One of the most delicious places I've ever ate at. If we are ever within a couple hours of here, we swing by. The ham egg biscuit is my favorite food here. Granola is very tasty as well!
wendyyee1987
Came here after watching some videos on social media.. Turned out the pies are quite good. Ordered their signature key lime and citrus shaker. But I had it as takeouts, so the texture and taste was a little off (too dry and quite sour and bitter).. perhaps it’ll be better to have it dine-in.. but the store is quite small with limited seats, and on the day I patronised the store, it was just after heavy snowing hence, outside seats are not open..
Danni Schan
cute intimate little spot. the tomato pie was too sweet for my taste, and i wish the side salad came in some sort of bowl. it was stacked onto a very small paper plate. i personally wouldn't go again, but it is fitting food for winter time. staff was attentive and very sweet.
Chris Pearson
Had the sausage biscuit with egg. It was really good. The biscuit was great, as well as everything that came on it. The service was mostly good. The woman who took my order was great! Really stellar! The dude who handed me my food wasn’t rude, but maybe not so great at understanding how he comes off. It was fine just a weird interaction with him around asking for something that isn’t the way I would have reacted. Not a clean customer service interaction. Just seemed like he wasn’t very aware of how he comes off to others. Not a reason to stay away, just weird. Otherwise go hear and eat, the food really is very good!
Lynnette Morales
Adorable place! The pies were good, just not spectacular for the price, especially since the ones we tried were graham cracker crusts which aren't hard to make. We tried key lime and strawberry rhubarb.
Chris L
Tasty biscuit options AND pie... and damn good coffee. The only drawback is that seating is limited, and folks like to camp out at their tables a bit too long sometimes.
Chris Mandeen
So good! Just had avocado biscuits for breakfast and feel like a million dollars. Very low key place with a very helpful staff. Absolutely recommend this place.
Angela Marczak
We we’re visiting Chicago from Pittsburgh and saw the lineup outside the door for breakfast on Saturday morning. We decided we would have to try it at some other day since we had plans already. When we walked back to where we were staying after they had closed for the day, we were admiring the menu in the window when somebody popped their head out the door and asked if we would want to take a couple of leftover pies from a private event home with us. We were absolutely thrilled and even more thrilled with the taste of the pies. They were fantastic. We can’t wait to come back to Chicago to eat there in person.
Adam Koch
This place is one of the best places for lunch / brunch in the city cuz I can come here get something made from scratch and delicious and they play Aphex twin. Awesome for warm spring & summer days. Cold brew is 🔥 and they know the difference between cold brew , …

Overall restaurant and vibe was 9/10!
The Chicken pot pie was not as flavorful and felt dry inside. 6/10
The Biscuit Sausage was good but the sausage was a bit small to pair with the biscuit 7/10
The candied bacon 10/10. Fantastic!
And the Black Forest pie was solid 9/10!
Will be back to try more of the menu :)
Pepe Cetina
Ham biscuit and sausage one are amazing. Sweet pies are awesome too, and they match with a great patio and amazing service. Everyone's friendly and awesome.
Matt Vaessen
Best biscuits in town, right here!
James Hruska
Cute place with good vibes and friendly staff. Pictured is the ham biscuit which is delicious and comes with what appears to be homemade pickles. Unique place that is worth checking out.
Matthew Higgs
Amazing Buffalo chicken pot pie. Desserts are also amazing. Horchata pie is great!
Jay Val
If you live in chicago you gotta go here at least once, same if you are visiting. Anything you order you will enjoy (assuming yo like the ingredients). This place is serves straight up ambrosia from the teat of the gods directly onto your plate. If you leave anything on the plate when you are don, you're doing it wrong. Be smart when you go otherwise might not be able to find a table.
Joshua Naylor
Always worth the wait! Iced coffee on draft, amazing biscuits, the best grits and ridiculously good pies.
Sam
A local treasure of the neighborhood! The pies are amazing and the backyard garden and table seating is such a lovely way to enjoy the slice and a cup of coffee. One of my favorite places to stop by in the spring and summer
Rebecca Mottier
Small place with an interesting menu but amazing food! They have biscuits and pie. It is a little on the pricey side for biscuits and pie but definitely worth the money!
Katie Davis
Amazing! In love with this place, it’s like everything I love in one place. Their biscuits are the best I’ve ever had!
Samantha Anand
We never go anywhere else for pies!!!! The staff is just fabulous… they are so kind and giving and the pies are yummmmmmmm. My favourite out of the ones I’ve tried ( I’ve tried a lot!!!) is their lemon verbana! Their key lime is good too! I love their little patio and just exchanging a few words with the staff makes the experience that much nicer…. They always have a kind smile :)
Sofía Garcés
It was absolutely delicious. The dishes are a little bit big though I had to take it to go. My heart was bigger than my stomach.
Still the food was great and the service is excelent!
Jess Loper
First meal off the plane while visiting my boyfriend and it hit the spot!! Brilliant biscuits and the honey pie was stunning, perfect with coffee
Anna Lagunas
Holy cow, it took way too for me to get around to trying this. Everything was fantastic! We had sausage biscuits and they were the best we've had, and we haas 3 pie flavors. Key lime and banana ginger molasses were delicious. The Sundae pie was unbelievable, outstanding!! Coffee and tea were great too.
Dillon Welch
Everything here is so amazing. Pies, donuts, biscuits, coffee, it's all wonderful. With lines out the door, all the locals agree too.
Jaye Lee Passage
Love these pies. And, the place is raw and funky. Just my style.
Miranda Domingo
Favorite pie shop in all of Chicago. They treat you like family here. Always very warm and welcoming staff. This is a great place to catch up with a friend, read, or work remotely. Love it here so much!
Andrew Swanson
Yum! Great way to enjoy a sunny spring day. Wonderful patio with plenty of space.
Ashley Christopherson
Really tasty biscuits! And good coffee. The pie I got was a buttermilk custard, and I developed a taste for it as I went on, but it wasn't my favorite. I'd go for something different next time. But the staff was absolutely the friendliest I've ever encountered. It was almost startling, but still a very positive experience.
V Artemisia
Such a fun and charming place! Cool, friendly staff, and fantastic food!! The pie was very good, but the biscuit sandwiches were amazing! The sausage is so rich and unique, and they really know how to poach an egg. Well executed, high quality food.
Raul Maldonado
Always the best service with delicious food... only wish they were open All of the Time.
Baramee Chindavong
Cute spot, good food. Great service. Nice staff. Definitely try one of their pies. They have an outdoor patio with tons of seating. The indoor is small and cozy. If you're getting biscuits...I love the Biscuits & Gravy (with egg & sausage). Be forewarned, it more peppery than most sausage gravies. Definitely worth a visit.
Allison Reed
Such delicious breakfast food with a creative twist. Wonderful customer service too!
Edit: came back for the first time in six years (I don’t live in Chicago, & I don’t make it back nearly as often as I would like), & the food & service are even better than I remember. If you have not come to Bang Bang Pie & Biscuits yet, make it a meal in the next week. I have dreamed of this food for six years. Few places does this to me. Bang Bang Pie & Biscuits is one of those places, & they not only lived up to the memory, but they exceeded it. Stop making excuses and prioritize this amazing restaurant.
Josh Thompson
My wife and I are visiting my brother this weekend and I am so thankful he recommended this place! The biscuit dishes, iced coffee and pies are amazing! I wish we had a place like this back home. If we are ever able to come back to Chicago, I will have to come back here!
Also the customer service is great and everyone is so friendly! There was a slight change to the pie I ordered that reflected on the menu so I thought I got the wrong pie. When I inquired about it, the guy I talked to was so kind and got me another slice and made it to reflect what was on the menu. I really appreciated that!
Jake Garcia
First time going and wow was it worth it! Chicken pot pie and biscuits are on point (love the jelly) and also pie are amazing. Sampled all of them and my favorite were banana cream and key lime pies. Looking forward to my next visit already
Neelie S.
Their pies are so good and personally I loved the s’mores pie. It was so rich in flavor
Nancy Thorson
The line was out the door but it moved pretty quick. Large outdoor area to sit and eat and a few indoor tables and stools against the wall. I had the ham biscuit which was delicious. I also tried 3 different pie flavors also delicious. While waiting for my order I saw a few pot pies going out and wish I had ordered one they looked great but maybe next time.
Stefanie Sachs
Some of the best biscuits I've ever had! Their breakfast sandwiches are amazing...and who doesn't love eating dessert with breakfast? I haven't had a pie here that I haven't enjoyed either. Go when it's nice out and you'll get to enjoy their side yard with picnic tables as well.
Emily Lenahan
Looking for the best wedding desserts in all of Chicago? Look no further! We fell in love with Bang Bang Pies a few years ago and visited the Ravenswood store regularly! When it came time to select our wedding desserts we couldn't imagine going anywhere else.
Micah and her team were an absolute joy to work with as we selected our pies for our wedding. All of our friends and family were talking about the amazing pies and cookies all night long. Not only do they create the most unique flavored pies that are so delicious but their customer service is phenomenal which made our experience easy and SO much fun. We are so grateful to have worked with such amazing people for our wedding!
Danni Taylor
Worth the wait. Once you make it through the line the food comes out so quick and is so delicious.
Brad Smith
Wonderful pies and I really enjoyed the chicken pot pie as well!
The crust on the pies (both sweet and the pot pie) was very very well done, and the filling of the chicken pot pie was wonderfully seasoned.
Friendly cashiers and a cozy atmosphere tops off this very nice place to grab a quick bite for breakfast, lunch, or a snack.
Kathy Janik
Avocado Biscuit was surprisingly light and fresh for it being a meal based around a biscuit! Loved it! Also thoroughly enjoyed the blackberry buttermilk pie. Such great flavor! 10/10 will go again.
Just be prepped for a long like during breakfast/brunch times. :)
Emily Schexnayder
I have nothing but great things to say about Bang Bang. The owner and staff are all super friendly and provide great service, the food is amazing, and the environment is very cute and comfortable. I recently had a sausage biscuit and a hot cider out on their back patio. It's so nice there that people will sit outside and eat even if it's like 35-40 degrees!
Diana Grossman Tantra Butterfly
This was the first time I actually sat down to enjoy pie outside and I'm not disappointed. I ordered the chicken pot pie and absolutely feel the pie crust was incredibly well made with a buttery tasting crust. The chicken and vegetables within the pie was obviously high quality, fresh and clean tasting but the high price of $11 including taxes seems a bit over the top. I'm surprised they won't include a tiny side like a small potato salad or raw cucumber salad to go with your order. The pie is petite, extremely tasty but a bit overpriced since it isn't that large and because a side isn't included. I also enjoyed the chocolate malt pie with salty caramel and whipped cream topping. The chocolate pie was about $5 and was a pretty rich pie so I had a hard time finishing and here again the pie crust itself is made from scratch and mouthwatering. I loved sitting outside today on their picnic benches and I thought the staff here was super cheerful and great at their jobs. The only thing I would change is their pricing system. If you are going to charge people more money make the portions larger or include a side.
Kate Victor
Delicious biscuits! So buttery and decadent - I got the farmers biscuit and the ingredients of the salad were so fresh. My boyfriend got the sausage and pimento cheese biscuit, which he also really enjoyed. The servers were super friendly and helpful! Can’t wait to come back for pie 🤤 …
Madeline Field
Great biscuits and coffee! Sadly I didn't have room for pie but will have to go back for a slice another time. Definitely would like to go there for brunch again as well! They get pretty busy for a small shop but have a lot of great outdoor seating in back.
James Bonner
This morning was my first time at Bang Bang. The decor is charming, the employees knowledgeable and friendly. Loved the menu and the "fancy grits". Eating outside was wonderful. Everything was great, except for one thing: I went with a pair of friends, and all three of us agreed- the biscuits were overwhelmingly, disappointingly salty. I'm no stranger to restaurant levels of salt in food (nor biscuits), but these tasted like a mistake. I'd be more than willing to go back and try again to see if it was a one-off, since I've yet to hear someone speak ill of the place, but maybe I'll just stick to the pie next time.
Luke Aguirre
I came here once for a take out order and have had multiple slices of pie from other restaurants they serve. After getting my first taste of their biscuits, I am now obsessed. I tried the biscuits and gravy and the BLT. Both were great but I think the BLT was better, even though they both could cure your hangover.
And their pies.... I don't think you can go wrong with any pie in the menu. I have had at least 5 different kinds and they all have been absolutely fantastic. They have flavors that are fruity and tart (Cherry Limeade) to rich and sweet (cookies and cream) and they all taste phenomenal.
Highly recommend if you are looking for pie, biscuits or just breakfast. You won't be disappointed.
Joseph deBettencourt
Bang Bang has great pie and great biscuits, but it used to be a bit better before they revamped the menu. It used to be very straight forward with things like biscuits and ham (which was amazing). Now the fancier stuff isn't as good, just too much. STILL the pie is great. Also, the people who run Baker Miller used to be the bakers here so it has changed since they left. The outdoor patio can't be beat though for outdoor summertime pie!
James Joost
This place had a very unique feel. It was small, yet roomy; indoor and outdoor seating, and, most importantly, great brunch sandwiches. There was a no frills aspect to this place that is hard to describe. After breakfast we got two pot pies to to, which were subsequently reheated later that night. Simply amazing.
Eleanor Hasken-Wagner
As a southerner on the hunt for good biscuits, this is by FAR the best place in the city. I've had a lot of their pies and some haven't quite hit the mark for me, but overall it's hard to beat their offerings. I recommend going on beautiful days because the outdoor seating is clutch.
Tamara Toland
A dear friend had yall mail me some biscuit mix .There was 3 of us freinds (family) and we made biscuits over zoom and turned some into strawberry shortcakes. They were excellent !. The directions were simple to follow and they turned out soooo good ! Thank you again,For being the best ! I cant wait till I can come again to Chicago and eat with yall!
Monica K
Atmosphere as you walk in is friendly, cozy and spread out. If you walk to the backdoor it leads to a backyard patio with lots of tables to chill. The owners are friendly and kind with a good heart into making handmade pies.
There are numerous pies to taste and varies in small batches only. We had tasted blueberry pie, which was okay since I couldn't taste fresh blueberries. Cream cheese pie was different.
They also serve great coffees and biscuit. Including a backyard dinner events offering homemade experience.
Jamie Selner
This was, hands down, the best biscuit I've ever eaten in my life; even better than my grandmother's - no offence grandma! The sausage was perfectly cooked, as was the adorable little muffin tin baked egg (and I do mean perfect! Liquid yellow center, fully cooked whites, and the exact same size as the biscuit. Mind=blown) The entire place is adorable and comfortable, and the outdoor "pie garden" seating area is so laid back, comfortable and well shaded that you feel right at home. Top the great food and location with an unbelievably friendly staff and fast service and you have an absolutely perfect brunch in my book.
Sydney Miller
We had Bang Bang Pie for our wedding and our guests were so happy and impressed with their service! A huge thank you to their staff for coordinating and delivering everything on time and for all their extra help. The pies were absolutely delicious and will be talked about for a long time! We love this place and we were so thrilled that everyone enjoyed it too!
Bill Jones
Been meaning to visit Bang Bang for awhile. Love pie. Love of idea of a shop dedicated to pie -- a pie shop, as it were. A little disappointed when I got there to find out that after we called and they said most things were still on the menu, the chicken pot pies (the sole savory option for the day) was gone, as were the apple pies they were hyping. So I switched up plans at the counter and went with BLTs. Turns out the biscuits they're made with are fantastic, and the veggies were super fresh, and the bacon was awesome. Also got some chocolate pecan pie, which was great, and then the restaurant hooked me up with a PB&J roll (not bad, at all) for being in a Lance Briggs jersey on Bears day. Good people, great food. I wish they had some of the things they were out of, but to be fair, I went pretty late in the day.
Macx Rodriguez
Obsessed with their key lime pie. Their vanilla bean whipped cream used to be to die for, but recently i think they’ve stopped using vanilla so it’s pretty basic. Customer service is very good even when they’re super swamped.
David Boston
Went there for breakfast while waiting for the girls to get ready! Great food and delicious pies!
Lu Yao
Bang Bang Pie Shop it really yummy, but I do think they should revise their name a bit and call it Bang Bang Biscuit Shop. Their pie is epic, but their biscuits are too good to ever pass up!
Service: Order at the counter, and you get served quickly.
Ambience: It's a pretty hipster place and sort of looks like a log cabin. It's a pleasant place to have a snack or meet friends or do some work.
Food: The chocolate coconut pie I had is superb, although it gets a bit too sweet after about 5 spoonfuls. But if you have one of their biscuits handy, everything balances out perfectly.
Udeth Lugo
Great place…I highly recommend it! The only concern is that som items such as the butter, the grit, the eggs, etc. were salty. Hopefully, B and B will read this and address the salty concern.
Owen Scott Clay
Holy moly. If I could give ten stars I would. Real pie crust, incredible. The only biscuits I've ever enjoyed that were not made in my mother's kitchen. Butter, rhubarb jam, and biscuit were a meal on their own. The chicken pot pie was great. Bacon was perfect. Rhubarb apricot pie was inspired. Blueberry custard pie also good. The only complaint I have is that the hash browns were over salted.
David Harrison
Stopped in here to hide from the cold and it ended in a salubrious encounter with some chocolate pecan pie, which was, I must say, quite superb. The interior is rustic and unpretentious, which made nestling into the bar lining the back all the more cozy. All in all, a great, albeit short experience-- highly recommend!
Dee K
The pies are so yummy, but I fail to understand why taking a single slice of pie to go from ordering at the cashier window took actually 20 minutes to put into a container… They did make things whole by complimenting an extra slice but maybe as a busy place orders can get misplaced.
Mimosa Shah
Fresh pastries and pies, yes, but done so with an excellent attention to detail. For Thanksgiving, we ordered an apple pie and a chocolate pecan pie, both of which were superb, with ample amounts of apple or pecan, and perfectly flaky, buttery crusts. The in-store setup is cozy, with a random selection of chairs matched to family-style tables. I tried their fresh biscuit with butter and jam, and even my notoriously picky toddler ate it up. Very pleased to see this shop thriving and growing in Logan Square.
Jenna Kowalczyk
This is definitely a spot you should check out when in the city. It's a very cute spot - small on the inside but that back patio is absolutely adorable. I'd suggest waiting until it's a tad warmer. It is a bit pricey for what you get - I prefer the pie to the biscuits. But I also have a pretty big sweet tooth.
Anthony Scotti
There is always a line out the door, but it moves quickly (think Portillos). The staff is extremely friendly. The biscuit dishes were out of this world. I had the bacon biscuit with collard greens, egg and hot sauce with a slice of chocolate pecan pie. It was honestly too much food, but I had to try both. The prices are definitely reasonable for portion and homemade quality. This is a must try in Logan Square and a true gem!
Justin Lee
Inside seating is pretty small, so it can get crowded. In nicer weather there's a patio area. Came here for brunch and tried a very unique biscuits and gravy. The biscuits live up to the hype, and the gravy had a very interesting mix of seasoning that worked. The choc pecan pie was also delish, solid spot that won't break the bank.
Nick Hork
I try to make it a point to come here at least every other week. Their ever rotating selection of pies are always outstanding. They always seem to have new ideas for tasty concepts throughout the year, and the menu always has a balance of styles.
While it's always tempting to fill up on pie, I need to keep reminding myself to leave room for biscuits and bacon. They have a assortment of house made jams and butter that give you a new biscuit experience each time. The bacon is slightly sweet and crusted with pepper.
I haven't tried any of the new menu, but the biscuit forward newbies will see me coming back more often.
Rachel Bires
Do you like biscuits? What about pies? How about pot pies?? If you answered yes to any or all of these questions then you definitely need to go to Bang Bang Pie! All of the pies look amazing. I tried the pumpkin and it was probably the best pumpkin pie I've ever had. The only thing that I don't really like about it is communal seating. It's also a very small space so seating is very hard to come by. Go in the warmer weather, though, when the patio is open.
Nick Tejeda
I love this place for breakfast. I mean a biscuit sandwich and pie!?!?! Also iced coffee on tap is always a plus.
I got the gravy biscuit and thought it was ok...but I got to try the ham biscuit and it was out of this world. The gravy just overpowered the biscuit and that biscuit is too good to be overshadowed by anything else in the dish.
I know they'll have great specials on pie, but don't pass up on the chocolate pecan!
Mike
Great place for brunch or lunch! They have delicious pie and biscuit options. I highly recommend the strawberry rhubarb pie 🤩 The small menu offers a great selection of food that you simply can't go wrong on. Great staff and awesome atmosphere! …
Ash B
Excellent vegetarian biscuits and gravy. Tasty poached eggs. And banging good pie. I love going here when I'm in Chicago. It's worth the trip especially on a beautiful day when you can dine outside.
Maxine New
We received a gift from our realtor with the buscuit mix for Christmas. Why we waited so long to try them I have no clue. These buscuits were amazing! We had them for dinner and made breakfast buscuits the next day. Hands down the best buscuits I've ever had. I looked up the company and I didn't see that shipping was offered out of state. So I literally sent them an email letting them know how delicious their buscuits were and if they would ship out of state. I got a reply immediately and they were willing to ship out of state so we will have more buscuits soon! Great food and great service even from far away.
Eddie B
Needed some last minute pie for Thanksgiving because Costco sold out. It's really pretty expensive but it is amazing. $30 for a pie is a lot but it's probably worth it. If they were less than $20 it'd be 5 stars. That said their prices are competitive with other high end pie shops in the city.
Olivia S
As a Southern girl who LOVES her biscuits, I was excited for my first biscuit at this joint. Unfortunately, reality did not live up to expectation. The biscuit itself has a mild sourdough-like flavor, but its texture is heavy and spongy (and not just because of the butter). It's a far cry from the light, fluffy/flaky (and sometimes buttery) biscuits I grew up with. That being said, the coffee was great and the sausage delicious. I'll be back to try the pie and grab a cup of coffee but not a biscuit.
Ivo Iliev
This place never ceases to surprise me with their amazing food. Today I had their special smoked lamb ribs served over cheddar grits - one of the best dishes I ever had (the chimichuri sauce was a nice touch too!). Been coming here since they opened, they always had amazing food even when they served just 2 kinds of pie and a scratch biscuit!
Robert Cignoni
Best pie, biscuits, and catering around! Amara was lovely and helped us prepare a wonderful array of fall pies for our wedding.
Laurel Miltner
Wow, this place is special. Some of the best coffee I've had in the city, especially iced in the summer. Also, they have an adorable backyard "patio" in the summer with picnic tables to sit at. Bang Bang recently expanded their biscuit menu with some awesome, seasonal offerings. Everything I've had here - biscuits, sweet and savory pies, bacon - has been superb.
Ellen Readhead
BBP&B never disappoints. They also have amazing customer service. '
A short story:
In COVID times, they started doing online orders + curbside pick-ups of pies, with a Friday afternoon pick-up window. I ordered a few pies one week, but had to leave town over the weekend and would miss the pre-arranged pick-up window. I asked a friend to grab the pies for me, but they forgot. On Sunday, I frantically messaged and called BBP&B to see if I could still claim my pies. They were quickly accessible and assured me that my pies were safe. Then, not only did they DELIVER the pies to my house (!!) they brought an entire extra pie! None of the situation was their fault, but I received a free pie valued at $30 out of the situation. Their staff is the nicest, hardest working bunch and they're a great addition to the community. Support these guys!
Rachel Kendrick
The patio is so cute! I really enjoy the fancy grits but the real star of the show is the CHICKEN POT PIE!!! It was delicious. I’m still thinking about it. No hot chocolate, small portions, and typical Chicago prices but unlimited coffee and water!
Sean Brown
I love this place!! Even when they're closed for the day you can smell the pies as you walk by. I bought a whole chocolate pecan pie for my birthday and didn't share with anyone. I let them eat cake! ⚜️
Megan Town
Amazing pie store--a must stop for dessert or breakfast in the Logan Square area. I've tried an array of their pies, from their holiday Gingersnap Pie to their summer S'mores pie, and I have never been disappointed. The pies are freshly made each day, and you can that they are made from quality ingredients. The breakfast options are also incredibly noteworthy. The candied bacon is to die for, and is conveniently located next to the register to entice you to purchase it with your biscuits. As for the biscuits, they're made in a rectangular pan (vs the traditional drop style) but they are dense, buttery, and delicious. They have a rotating selection of butters and jellies that really make the biscuits pop. Whether you're looking for a place to grab a cup of coffee (that they roast themselves) and a slice of pie, or a quick breakfast, make sure to swing by Bang Bang!
Rachel Bickel
I love Bang Bang! I haven't even fully experienced their pies yet, but their biscuits are amazing. I've gone their several times for biscuits and coffee. So buttery and wonderful. And the butters/spreads are to die for. Will often splurge for Biscuits and Gravy on the weekends! Can't beat it. Best biscuit ever.
Aubrey Perez
Amazing food! I had the biscuits and gravy with a side of blackberry buttermilk pie. It’s always nice when places have vegetarian options. And the employees were so welcoming and friendly.
Jesus G
Por to-go spot for biscuits and gravy: homemade, generous and oh so flavorful.
The huge backyard has herbs they use. Farm to table? Parking around the street is also free.
matthew cheng
Fantastic pies all around, both savory and sweet are top notch. Also the staff are friendly and fast.
Even though there was a long line, people got their orders in great speed.
One of the best chicken pot pie I ever had. The chicken. Was just juicy, the crust was soft and chewy. Everything about the pie screams deliciousness. I will be dreaming of the pot pie tonight, and the following few nights
The sweet pies are no less amazing, all their sweet pies will hit the right spot.
The blue-burb pie with their mix of sweet and sour topped with crumble cannot be found lacking. Where the coffee n cream pie, is the perfect pie to enojy on a Sunday afternoon, with its perfect blend of pie filling and shortbread crust
Laura S
What a great food-truck-turned-shop story. Truly lovely, humble owners. The pride in their craft is evident in their wares. You can't find a better pie in CHI-town. I sampled the key lime pie and a savory! ice cream pie. I will also be back for biscuits & jam, which are the bomb. Great backyard for picnics. Easy street parking.
omkar aphale
A must visit for lovers of pie ! Do try chicken pot pie, apple cinnamon pie, and oh my, the key lime pie !!

Anything you eat (or drink) there is delicious. I've never been disappointed by anything at Bang Bang Pie - their staff, the atmosphere, and of course, the food, is super delicious. AND their biscuits! I can't believe I forgot about the most delicious part of the entire city! Go there immediately and fall in love.
Andrew Cheng
Delicious biscuits with a nice patio space to eat in. Don't be intimidated by the line outside, it moves pretty quickly.
James B
If you want the best biscuits that aren't your Gram's, come here. The ingredients, staff, and preparation are all top notch. As for the pie, WOW. The flavors and the varieties are excellent. Just go. GO RIGHT NOW!
Ryan Aguiar
Can't say enough great things about this place. Obviously try the pie. Its been a must for every Thanksgiving since I moved here. Biscuits and gravy are also a big favorite. I almost find it hard to explore the menu because I love those two things so much.
Ben Swift
Everyone loves this place.. and it's obvious why. Fun space...freaking delicious biscuits and candied bacon is amazing.
While working in Chicago recently, I started every morning here.
The only thing that would make this place better is if they partnered up with dark matter coffee...
Shaun Herholz
Great unique pie place! Some of the freshest ingredients that you can find and a homegrown experience all around. Simply and fresh. A little pricey, but worth the experience. Expect to bus your table and sit outside with picnic tables and a view of a collection of doors displays as artwork.
Aniket Vagha
No fancy frills! Just top, top notch food! Golden standard for american classics - biscuits and pies. And do not miss the candied bacon.
Joanna Benkowski
Been several times, had some good things... the most recent visit was really very bland and boring. We are also had very small portions and felt badly for paying over $25 for a quick meal. Biscuits and pie are always good, I guess branching out from the staples was a gamble, but we were sad about it.
Andrea Molino
Really delicious biscuits and pie BUT it's really expensive for the amount of food you get. Would still go back because the pies are awesome regardless of price, but expect to pay over $5 for a slice. Fabulous patio in the summer.
Diana Hernandez
It was my first time eating here and I can honestly say they didn't disappoint. Everything was delicious and very friendly staff. We'll definitely be coming back for more.
Bushbuster
You can openly talk with the people working the register and get some great suggestions. They know what they're talking about. Just ask. It's that easy. The pie is ridiculously good, but you're best off asking them what they think is the best based off of what you normally like. If you prefer savory, then tell them that (include preferences like cheese, meat etc, they'll recommend you something good). Really, just ask. They're happy to tell you about the things they've already tried that they think you'll like.
Jahn Marie Parise
My version of Cheers. They may not always know your name, but they treat you like they do. Great options and really appreciate the ever-changing variety of sweet and savory options. Only downside is the line on the weekends! Definitely an awesome backyard experience.
Alex Hernandez
Quaint and unique little pie shop. Key Lime Pie is amazing as is the cheesecake with raspberry compote. You can sit outside in their garden area with a cool collection of doors as a fence. The pies are a bit on the high end price wise, but the ingredients are fresh and the pies are just awesome! Probably not somewhere you would go to get pies everyday, but then, who eats pies everyday? If you remember, be sure to visit the bathroom, very cool decor in there and kind of threw me for a loop for a split second. LOL Overall, I recommend this place!
lindsey keaton
I’ve been coming here since 2014. I wish the guy who served me knew yesterday how much his kindness made my day! I was sad and I wanted a slice of pie. He served me after they were technically closed for the day. He also gave me extra pie since they were closing and had to get rid of it. He also said he might try to bring back Horchata pie for May. PLEASE BRING BACK HORCHATA PIE.
Carolyn Bishop-Seder
Bang Bang never disappoints! There is usually a line out the door on the weekends, but don't let that deter you because they are fast and the food is excellent. They have a lot of out door seating and the place is family friendly. Bang Bang is one of my go-to places for out-of-town guests, it's always a hit.
Jason Shintani
Some of the pies are Ok but some of them are really really good. The brunch was very good, every one in my group really enjoyed their biscuits! The elote grits was also really good! Will be coming back. 4.5 🌟 …
Levi Stuckey
Generally I don't like biscuits, but this place does them right! Their sandwiches are top notch and their pie is a step above that! Also, they have a house hot sauce that is money! I'll be visiting this place again and recommend you to do the same!
Nathan Thompson
After spending years on the road for work, I find myself craving regionally specific foods. I woke up craving grits. After a cursory google search, Bang Bang popped up. It looked like a very Instagram friendly place, but I had my doubts on the food quality.
LO AND BEHOLD. This is absolutely the best place for southern fare near Logan Square. The biscuits and grits are absolutely wonderful. I’ll be coming back.
Patt McGee
Excellent food and even better service! They are so personable to everyone! They ran out of an item and compensated by giving me additional items. I've been a consistent customer for years and will continue to frequent them
Tara Soltow
Not only are the owners amazing and extremely accomodating/welcoming, but the pie and warm, fresh bisquits ARE TO DIE FOR. They have an array of jams/butters to go with the biscuits. I highly recommend. On top of it, their back yard is stellar and absolutely adorable.
Kendall Myers
Came here for early lunch on a Saturday. Was hardly a wait to order and had plenty of available seating (outside, inside not very many seats). The food was DELICIOUS. We tried an array of things: ham biscuit, sausage biscuit, salad, granola, and a pot pie. None of us were displeased. Was the perfect size to fill us up but not feel like we overate. My favorite thing was the jam they gave me for the top half of my biscuit. Really yummy.
Yevgeniy Yefimov
Great pie. The sausage biscuit-sandwich option wasn't great, but the biscuit itself was tasty. Grits also not great.
Semi self serve. Service is prompt. Patio is nice and airy but the seats and tables could be kept cleaner.
Magnus M. Beck
It's right across the street from me. Every time I look outside the window there is a long long. Why? Because the food is worth it. It's quite a treat. However, they have a nice small selection of biscuits and dish like shrimp and grits as well. Small but impact menu.
G V
I've only been there once in the past couple years. They have zero dairy free/gluten free options besides the side of candied bacon. If they made gluten free biscuits I would go all the time.
Leah Klein
Maybe the best time to go to a pie shop is two days before Thanksgiving. Who's to say! Maybe Bang Bank Pie Shop is always extremely busy with 12 people boxing pies in the kitchen.
I picked up a slice of key lime right before our flight back to Boston. As I was waiting for them to bring to me, I decided I MUST have a biscuit. It came with maple butter and a spiced apple jam. The biscuit was delicious, but not as fluffy as I would have hoped. The spreads were amazing.
The real winner was the Key Lime. A gorgeous slice of creamy, tart pie with home made whipped cream and the most delicious crust made my day. I wish that Bang Bang would open a location in Boston....but maybe it's better that they don't, so I don't go broke!
Lana Epps
I visited this quaint little shop today. After having read about it a few times, I was throughly looking forward to trying the food. Today did not disappoint. Beginning with the cashier, who was most helpful, upbeat, kind and ending with the meal, bang bang has solified a place in my brunch rotation. The simplistic comfort emitting from the fancy grits (collard greens, cheddar grits and hot sauce) was slightly reminiscinent of a brunch on magazine street. Although I ordered a hot chocolate with my meal, it was later packaged to come home. Topped with toasted, in house made marshmallows, the first sip was frothy, sticky and rich. I look forward to warming it later tomorrow night, with a blanket and movie. On the way out the door, I couldn't resist adding a chocolate chip cookie adorned with sea salt. I've just had one bite and it's been most enjoyable. This is not a place to miss out on. I shall return and look forward to trying another meal and a slice of pie.
Dana Bassett
There is no other pie shop as lovely as Bang Bang. Not only do I love the pies, biscuits, gravy, bacon, stratas, pot pies, PB&J cinnamon rolls, and ice coffee-- the staff is also incredibly sweet and make the experience of going in a true pleasure. When I accidentally left my wallet outside they made sure to hold on to it for me and gave me a call to let me know. The line always moves quickly, and special events like fall farmers market in the yard with pumpkin painting make the experience even more special. I don't know what I'd do without Bang Bang in Logan Sq, it's a tried a true post Saturday workout ritual for me!
rohit ray
This hole in the wall pie shop was filled with delicious pies and coffee! The key lime pie was fantastic! An unlimited refill on the iced coffee was a fantastic deal. The atmosphere was very relaxed and chill. Definitely worth going to again!
Lara Poeppelmeier
How can you go wrong with a pie and biscuit shop? My husband and I stopped by On Saturday for brunch. When we arrived we were scared because there was a line half way down the block. We almost turned around to leave and I glad we didn't. The line is very misleading. Everyone's orders and then sits down. So we only waited maybe 20-30 mins.
It was a beautiful day so we got to sit outside. The patio for this place is big. If it weren't a nice day the place is tiny. I think they had 6 tables inside. I highly recommend going on a nice day and sit outside.
Their biscuits are amazing! I had the Huevos breakfast with eggs, chorizo, some greens, salsa over biscuits. It was the perfect breakfast. Then we had the rhubarb ginger crumble pie. It was so good. We will be back!
Kate Mettam Kasch
This place is the greatest place in the whole world, for a pie fan. The owner used to work at Dark Matter Coffee so the house roasted beans are a delicious accompaniment to any of their amazingly delicious slices of pie, or their heavenly biscuits. Additionally, the decor is dreamy. I come every weekend.
Michael Weissman
Great staff here. Great pies here. The guys were genuinely excited for us to stop in, gave us recommendations, and even made us try some of their desserts. Would come back for sure on our next visit. Delicious
Zachary Miller-Ember (Zach Ember)
Savory biscuits, sweet pies, fancy grits, quiet secluded back yard outdoor seating. And in the winter it's so steamy and cozy inside thanks to the ovens. What more do you need from a brunch stop?!
Keith Pruhs
Amazing pie amazing biscuits... just go already!
Jon Salz
Perfect place for a guiltily delicious breakfast. Hash brown casserole was a perfect mix of creamy, crisply, and tangy. The biscuit with candied bacon and collard greens was spectacular (although could have used another egg).
Eric Medill
Best breakfast in Chicago! The biscuits are ridiculously good and that is just the beginning of Bang Bang's options. The staff is always very knowledgeable and friendly. Don't ever leave without taking a pie home for everyone!
John Wilkie
Some of the best pie I Chicago. Pies like their apple and blueberry are good, as one would hope. The best pies I've had though were a lemon sage ice cream pie which was a great summer pie and earth shatteringly delicious, and the strawberry vanilla cheese cake which, though not a pie, was delicious none the less.
Pies can be pricey, but with this place you get what you pay for. I on the other hand just got a gift certificate and will be going back soon.
Lines might be long thought, so I recommend preordering and picking up.
Kirsten Larkin Hardy
Those who thought pies were only good when Grandma made them haven't been to Bang Bang. The price may seem a little steep at first for a single slice, but the pies are very rich and are perfect to share. The pies change daily so make sure to check online before you go. Good biscuits that are made with no less than a lb of butter.
Matthew Webster
Love the simplicity of the menu, Bang Bang only does a few things but they do them very well. Perfect to grab a quick breakfast togo (if you can beat the line) or enjoy their picnic area if the weather's nice. One of my faves.
Aditi Chalisgaonkar
I was in Chicago for a very short time as my flight got delayed and I'm so glad I went here. It's a cozy place and you rub elbows a bit and make some new friends. The staff is very friendly and the food was amazing. I wish I could go back!
Daniel Cothran
I had the clever idea of going for lunch on Pi Day (yeah, okay, it wasn't clever). There was a long line going out the door, but staff were in a good mood and brought treats for those of us standing in line. I purchased a slice each of two Pi Day specials, and both were delicious.
Xander Jobe
Pot pie and horchata pie for breakfast?! Yes please! This pace has a reply great out door patio full of tables and umbrellas. The inside is barn chic with Bob Dillon playing on the boom box. They use square and take cash. The tea is wonderful as well. This place is a must for breakfast.
Solomon Davis
Had a great meal here. The pies are great, and the Chicken Pot Pie is my ultimate favorite. Very good customer service, all very friendly. After eating here once I look forward to eating here many more times.
Emily R
The Arnold Palmer is amazing. I got the avocado biscuit and it was a bit pricey. I don’t think I’d get it again. Place was crowded at 2pm on a Sunday. Staff was great and the inside is very cute.
Tom K
Delicious pie.
A bit expensive ($30 for a full pie).
Indoor seating and large outdoor seating.
Jois L
Such friendly staff, great service, great pie. Can't wait to go back.
Meredith K
Simply put, their biscuits and homemade butters and jams are to die for. This is all not to mention their exceptional dark roast coffee. I've never actually had the pies on account of the biscuits being so good. Worth the trek to Logan Square/Humboldt Park. They need to get a food truck so I can eat this for lunch (hint, hint).
Dybbuk Klezmer
While I've liked this place for a long time, something happened today that left me even more impressed. It started with a mistake. A pretty bad mistake, but a common one. They had a veggie pot pit special. I ordered that, but was brought the chicken one instead, and figured this out by taking a bite out of it. I am vegetarian, but not particularly strictly, so I just brought it up to the counter and said "this is not a vegetable pot pie". They immediately said they would remake it, of course, so I went back and sat down. Shortly after, one of the workers, came over with a piece of key lime pie, an apologies, and assurances that my pot pie would be out soon. A few minutes later, the manager came over, apologized effusively, told me that they were training new people, assured me that this had never happened before, checked that I was ok, and gave me a gift card for future use. Sometimes the measure of a place is in how they react when something goes wrong, and Bang Bang excelled in this case.
Katelyn O'Neill
The food was amazing! The staff was incredible. It was very busy with a line out the door the whole time we were there. but they we so nice and helpful and fast. The atmosphere was the coolest part and the outdoor area was really quaint and neat too! Go and experience it for yourself! So so worth it!
Ralph Jackson
Food was amazing! Filling also, which is major for me. Will definitely return
Vanessa Moses
Best neighborhood hot spot in Logan Square! The pie is amazing, always changing up the flavors to keep with seasonal ingredient and the coffee is to die for! For sure my favorite place to kick back, relax and enjoy some great treats!
April Bell
Biscuits, good! Pie, good! Vibe, good! What’s not to like???
Chicago Food Pharaoh
I have been meaning to try this place since FOREVER!!!!! There was a small line but nothing too crazy. I love the cozy little area they have to sit outside. I think it goes without saying that you have to try their biscuits and pie.I think the most impressive thing on the menu though are their homemade pickles.
Trevor Hateley
This place is great, but I've never made it in time for the biscuits. They're always out of stock. Hoosier Mama is my favorite in terms of pie, but Bang Bang wins overall thanks to the atmosphere and wonderful yard.
Jim Hunter
A friend recommend this place. The biscuit were delicious. Love the outdoor seating. Nice friendly atmosphere. Great selection on the menu. The food is good and so is the coffee.
miranda anderson
10/10 would pie again. Super flakey delicious crust. Hashbrowns were a great homey taste. Fast and super friendly service. Sustainable restraunte. Overall highlight of my first day in Chicago this week.
Sarah VanBindsbergen
One of the most hipster hang out spots in Lincoln Park. Amazing coffee with free refills that you can drink black no problem and delicious buttery fluffy biscuit. Will definitely return!
Adrienne Driessen
Family and I saw this place on the Netflix series somebody feed Phil, did not disappoint, delivered 100+%- even the birds that sat with us during our dining experience :) Thank you!
John Timpone
My friend actually lives above Bang Bang Pie, so Google always asks me to check-in whenever I visit. . . I'm hoping this will get it to stop. But, on a pie note, they serve pie at Bang Bang Pie and other breakfast foods. It's tasty, damn tasty actually! I'd recommend it, as I'm sure most others do, which is why there's always a stupidly long line out the door every nice weekend morning.
Mike Brzoska
Great tasting food and pies. Nice outdoor patio area available.
Jess Mean
This is the cutest pie shop/bakery in the city. They offer three different pies each day in addition to other sweets and baked goods like biscuits and pie fries. My favorites are the fruit pies because they actually fill the entire pie with fruit instead of just the top. They're a bit pricey at $26/pie or $5/slice but I'd rather pay a bit more for a high-quality pie. In the summer, I love hanging out in their sideyard which includes an herb garden, picnic tables and the cutest DIY door fence.
Amanda Bittorf
Super cool! These pies are delicious and wonderful. Full of flavor and run by a super cool team who know what they're doing! It's located in Logan Square and has a coop hipster vibe! Love this place!
Matthew Scott
Great home made pies, biscuits, and hash browns. This place has moxie, although the sign on the awning is rather unenthusiastic. Great outdoor picnic tables add a ton of space to hang.
Selcen Yuksel
This place is absolutely phenomenal. The pie is mild blowingly good (savory AND sweet).
Jade Cabagnot
I'm so in love with this place I day dream about their blueberry cheesecake pies a lot. One of my top three pies in Chicago. Come early because they ran out of some of the selection of yummy pies by late in the afternoon.
Miss Kimberly P (SuchaLady)
This is the sweetest spot and the staff are just as sweet as the treats they serve up! I enjoyed the key lime and ginger peach pie slices!
Monika Holmes
Biscuits are good, the pie is even better. Love isn't a good enough word to describe how great bang bang is. Just stop reading this and go get some pie. It's absolutely worth it.
Annie Norman
The most delicious biscuits, pie & staff!! The food came out quickly & the outdoor seating is lovely!
Martin Resendiz Jr.
delicious pies, must try them all, ask for the frankenpie
Grumpy Garza
Small inside, nice big outside. Big wooden picknick style tables out back, with big umbrellas. Food is ok, coffee too. Wanted apple pie. Only fruit available was peach (pie). Tasty, did not disappoint. Apple pie should be available next week : - ) !!! Friendly service !
Max Blekhter
Fresh biscuits, home made pies, ice coffee, tea & lemonade on tap. Need I say more? Great outdoor area as well with free wifi to get some work done while you munch on your treats. Get there in the morning for a great and delicious start to the day.
Nicole Musi
A friend of mine recommended this place and it was definitely a one of a kind place for me. The options were limited, but not in a bad way as I still couldn't decide what to settle on.. they all looked delicious! Key lime pie is a must 😎 …
fabiola correa
Very delish. A bit crowded but worth it!
Katharine Francis
The summer ice cream pie was so delicious I didn't have a chance to take a picture. The staff was super nice too.
Justin Henderson
Bang Bang has some of the most delicious biscuits and pie you will ever eat. The location is great, albeit very small, the staff is very kind, and they have amazing breakfast sandwiches made with the biscuits.
chris lietz
Was able to try a number of different pies during a Google sponsored event. Sage/lemon, blueberry, and raspberry cheesecake were all very good with high quality fresh fruit and graham cracker crust. Outdoor area is very spacious, indoors is a bit cramped.
Ryan Lay
It seems that everything I order from Bang Bang becomes the best I've ever had. The staff is incredibly nice and attentive. More importantly, they have cold brew coffee on tap.
Ida Maung
there are amazing pies in this shop especially the chocolate pecan pie. the aroma of pie fills the room, and it's a really welcoming place to be. it's a good place to just relax and have some desserts.
Laura Blaser
The fancy grits were great, a little hint of kick but overall great flavor. The sausage biscuit was delicious, as was the scratch with jelly.
Luke Honnen
We had the biscuits and gravy and chicken pot pie. Both delicious and the crust was great. Also had a slice of rhubarb pie and lemon cream pie. Delicious!
Jeff Beaudette
Amazing. 15/10. Get the pie. Biscuits are fresh, amazing with pimento cheese and pepper jelly. Great coffee.
Anthony Misiak
Great pie but overpriced for the portion size. Also don't get the hot cocoa. It tasted like salt water and caramel. Nothing even close to what hot cocoa should taste like.
J.
Update: 6/8/14
Met some friends at my favorite pie show. Devoured a key lime slice and decided to try a biscuit w/ butter and jam.
At first bite all I could taste was salt... it was SOOOO overpowering. The consensus around the table... salty... salty... salty. Other reviews also mentioned the salt level. Bang Bang please check your ratios. Make less salty biscuits. One star removed from my previous 4-star review.
Previous review:
A place with a lot of character and yummy pies.
I've wanted to check out Bang Bang for while after hearing rave reviews about their creations. With a name like Bang Bang who wouldn't want to check out this place?
A slice of goodness will set you back $5 with a full pie coming in at $26.
We had a chance to sample a variety and fell in love with their Sage pie, which is super limited. If you want something fresh, delicious and close to homemade check out BBPS.

One of rhe best pies i wver tried in the Chicago land area.
Many to choose from but favorite is the banana as well their biscuits are the best.
Make some time to wait because they are always busy.
Millie
The biscuits are so fluffy and buttery and even just a plain one with butter is amazing! The pie flavors are pretty creative and equally delicious and the staff is so nice!
Paolo Testi
The chocolate cherry and key lime pies are sensational. Thanks guys 👍 …
Jeff Guerrero
I was drawn here after a Chicagoist reccommendation of their Mardi Gras special, "Fried Chicken biscuit" and I am so glad I listened. Best fried chicken biscuit I've had in a while. It's a small place with big flavors. Be sure to try the banana cream pie if available.
Vikram Balakrishnan
Pot pies are on point. Perfectly flaky crust, well seasoned and cooked filling, comfortable portion size. Excellent service. Highly recommend.
Tucker Taylor
You gave me a free pie once and it made my whole weekend. The pie was also wholly remarkable in every way a pie can be.
L Kennedy
I enjoy a fine slice o pie either sweet or savory both are suffice. The coffee here too is so drinkable, quite a tasty spot!
Gus Kingman
Really great biscuits, amazing candied bacon, nice dog friendly patio to sit on. Grits were a bit over complicated and the flavors competed with each other.
Jack G
The nicest staff in the world, love this place! I was in between two orders, and they brought out both dishes. The food was incredible, I definitely recommend!
Tammy (Popcove)
The pumpkin pie was delicious! On the other hand the chicken pot pie was over priced for the size.
Logan Price
EAT THESE PIES. Super pies and super crusts. If they have the Strawberry Rhubarb, you're required to get it. Their biscuits are off the charts too. Fun outdoor seating.
Liam Battershell
The key lime pie is sensational. I had the grits too which, as a Brit, I've never had before. It's like a savoury porridge and actually very good
Lisa Sromek
An old-fashioned and homey vibe is what you'll find along with several choices of pie, plus beverages. The offerings change often and with the seasons, but you can always count on the same categories every time (savory, fruit, cream, and chocolate-something!) Custom flavors are available for special orders of 5+ pies only. For locals seeking a breakfast option, they also serve made-from-scratch biscuits along with house-made butters and preserves.
Matthew Weiner
The only thing better than the food, are the people that work there. Every single thing here is incredible. Don't let the name of the place stop you from trying the other menu items either.
S Stewart
If you're in Logan Square and haven't been, then you are missing one of the best biscuit places I've ever been too. The pie is amazing.
Go! It's that good.
Makaela Johnston
Used to come here every Sunday for the best Key Lime Pie in the whole world. Hoping they open up to regular business soon! I miss you, Bang Bang!
Carolina Montesino
Love the food, service is so so sweet, very hospitable. They make your day so much better with their caring staff and their delicious food.
Gary Squire
Great Biscuits and Pies. Super nice staff. Only negative is the lack of inside seating. Awesome place to go eat when the weather is nice enough to sit outside.
Curtis Achterhof
Far and away one of our favorite places in the city. Delicious food, great coffee, awesome vibe, amazing staff. Love taking people here and always recommend it to anyone looking for a cool new place.
Paige Worthy
Forget the pie. Gorge on a biscuit the size of your fist, and load up on the little plastic containers of flavored butters and unique jams. I slather a ton of each on tiny, tiny bites of biscuits, washing each down with a sip of delicious iced coffee, which they serve on tap right next to the registers.
Ben Thiemann
The malted vanilla pie was incredible. Not too rich, perfect sweetness and depth of flavor, the chocolate sauce comes in at the end and doesn't overpower the vanilla.
Stuart Hannon
Decor is very "put a bird on it" "dreaming of the 1890's", but there is self serve iced coffee and at least 5 verities of handmade butter and jams. The biscuits are excellent as is the strawberry pie I had.
Hayley Stokar
I've never tasted anything quite like the blood orange pie. The peanut butter pie is also a cut [slice?] above the rest. A slice from bang bang is a much-welcome alternative to so many fancy cupcakes.
Austin Bell
Delicious biscuits and the key lime pie
Oliver Peckham
Some of the best pie I've ever had - and without a doubt, the best biscuits. An astonishingly high-quality experience in a homey, yet spacious setting. An absolute must-visit.
x x
What a fun, cute, and homey little place! I went there for an event and we sat out in the backyard which feels just like the backyard of someone's house that is putting on a big BBQ. So chill, so relaxing... There is no sense of anything corporate about this place, so if you like local small business that keep it real and fun, definitely support. Try the bluebery pie. Soooo good... Staff was friendly and fun and it just adss to a relaxing good time. On public transportation, California Blue line is the closest stop.
Zachary Peters
I would live here. In this post-time era, my temporal consciousness is split between Pre Bang Bang and Post Bang Bang. The only existence that matters in this uncertain world is between 9 and 2 every Saturday. Life makes more sense knowing BBP&B is out there.
Lily Tan
love their peacan pie! the staff were nive and friendly and they have a nice patio when the weather is nice. i would go back and try their biscuits, i heard they are buttery and delicious.
Nirmal Shah
Amazing! I didn't know I liked biscuits, or gravy. As it turns out, I love both thanks to bang bang. Also, best key lime pie I've ever had.
Robert Wojciechowski (Brb House On Fire)
Great pies, great Biscuits. Simple pleasures.
Nate Moreno
Had the biscuit gravy with the works it didn't disappoint! Also the candied bacon and the grits! Nothing I had there was bad. Definitely coming back!
Victoria Palacios
Never been dissapointed by the pies here, and I really love when they have grits on the menu. Outdoor seating is really lovely during the warm weather.
Danny Williams
Best biscuits ever, I wish there was more of a selection on pies but the ones they have are BANGing (hence the name). The butter selection is to die for, coat your biscuit with blackberry butter, it's the best.
Kristin Rabideau
Delicious pie, delicious coffee. Biscuit bar in the mornings. They also opened up the yard beside the shop so you can enjoy the pie in the green outdoors.
Michael Merolla
Really, really good. Recommended by someone who lived nearby for a while, and it exceeded. Bluebharb pie was h e a v y. Quiche, savory pies, sweet pies, quiche. Do it
Gabriela Nubling
I ordered the apple pie and it was just okay, since it is a "pie" shop I was expecting much more... I'm a crazy biscuit and gravy fan, but I always think that is missing something into it.. this restaurant's idea was great, add some ingredients to our beloved biscuit and gravy and voila... just one problem: not all the biscuit includes gravy and there is a charge of $5 for a gravy side... I was thinking about coming back to try different flavours but paying almost $20 for a pie and a biscuit and a side of gravy it is not for me...
Teresa Szczepaniak
Super tasty and aromatic. Great pie great place. Outdoor seating fun for everyone. Take on combo pie is awesome every flavor in one tin
Judy Kurutz
I loved this place!! Biscuits and gravy with sausage and a poached egg. Are you serious!! Anyone reading must try!! They have grits and pies
Mike Ryan
The best pie in Chicago, hands down, with a daily rotating selection of creme and fruit pies with ingredients drawn from local farms. Great backyard too!
Joar Glosvik
I had a headache when I arrived, but after eating two pies and a biscuit I was cured. I don't know if it was the food or the friendly atmosphere, but I basically think visiting this place will solve all problems you may have.
Riley Walz
I LOVE THIS PLACE!
Never had anything bad from here.
The workers are so nice and friendly, and you can tell by how great the food is.
Want something made with love??
Go to BANG BANG!
Rebecca Gacek
Delicious biscuits, friendly staff, and a large outdoor eating area. I would definitely eat there again.
Ari Bowers
Best southern cuisine I've had in Chicago. Biscuits are great! Nice outside seating area.
RRG
Both of the sausage biscuits are delicious!
Matthew Martin
This quaint little place is a must if you're in the area. It's easy to get to if you're on the blue line between the loop and O'haire. The Key Lime was probably the best I've ever had!
Sean Campbell
Excellent pie! I've also heard they have great biscuits, but i have not had the pleasure myself
m Ziph
SO GOOD. Wish there was more indoor seating and another washroom- when it's busy, the space can be overwhelming, but to-go is always a viable option. Super friendly staff, great service.
Caitlin Costello
Such a great place for breakfast or pie! I couldn’t decide between two pies and the person working let me try the one I didn’t decide on. So kind!
Barbara Runde
Cute as a button locale. Enjoyed the blueberry pie selection and ice tea on one of the hot days this summer. Looking forward to returning often this autumn as that is truely pie season.
Michael Mahoney
Food was pretty good, especially the maple bacon. Fresh fruit was nice touch. Need to seriously put wasp traps outside pronto and remodel bathroom.
Gerrard Centeno
No hot chocolate drink that day. But the pie's are good. You have to find parking. Lucky got park at North Point street close to the buildings
Wendy Boly
Enjoyed the selection of homemade sweet pies. The savory chicken pie was okay.
Jackie Miller

Good breakfast, even better pies. The hours of operation for Saturday are listed wrong -- opens at 9 AM, not 8 AM. Too bad for my friend who I was planning to buy a pie. I fixed the listing, I think.
