I recently visited here for the first time with my family and I found this bakery absolutely charming. The employees were very patient with us and were sweet with my daughter when she went to pick out her cookie. The wait was not long at all. We split a chicken salad sandwich on 9 grain bread with potato salad and an oatmeal raisin cookie. The food was so delicious. Tastes just like a lunch your grandma would have prepared for you with love. Very filling too. They have a large variety of baked goods, jams, sandwiches and hot lunches to choose from. Prices were very fair. This will be one of the places I will bring my daughter for our little special lunch dates or a baked treat in the mornings.

Excellent service, fantastic, hearty, and even some old-fashioned foods! Cookies are amazing! I had the Cabbage Burger and their potato salad. I had to buy a Caramel Tea Ring it looks sooooo good! AWESOME! I'll be back for sure for breakfast!

We tried pastries and a cookie, and they were delicious. Will be back to try other offerings. And I'm picky in that I bake my own delicacies and use raw sugar and quality ingredients, but we all need a spot for when we're busy with other things and want something tasty. And they're near my bicycle loop around the city, so I think I know where I'll be getting a snack If I can get there before 4pm.

We had ham on rye and Turkey on jalapeno cheese breads. OMG they were good! Brought bread and cinnamon sticks to take with us. We were just passing through on a long road trip or we would stop here frequently. Service was great and staff was very friendly.

We stopped in to get a cinnamon roll after visiting Luxury Diner and finding out they were out there. The cinnamon rolls lived up to the hype, the sticky buns were delicious as was the apple cinnamon bear claw. The service was super friendly and just added to the overall positive experience. Highly recommended all around!

We ordered the white chili and cabbage burgers. The chili was wonderful. Chili had just the right amount of spice. The white chili earned the 4 stars. We had been told the cabbage burgers were wonderful. They were NOT! The cabbage was slimy, very little meat and no flavor. We should of taken them back instead of throwing them away.

Today was my first experience and I so enjoyed it. The best sandwich I had in a long time everything was fresh and a lot of meat they don't hold back. Love that they offer spouts and that the bread was freshly baked. The soup was the bomb made that morning. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The staff made me feel very welcome as a first time visitor. The cashier was especially funny and made me laugh. Everything tasted homemade. The turkey and wild rice soup tasted just like the soup my aunt made on her farm when I was a kid! Nice bakery selection and the cannoli was delicious! I'll be back!

I love going here they always have awesome fresh baked goods. The only downside is sometimes I feel rushed by the staff. I like to take my time and look at everything that is being offered and sometimes they make you feel like you need to get what you want and get out. Aside that I have never bought anything that I didn't like. I usually get several different things and take it home for the kids and it is always enjoyed. You can even get fresh sandwiches which are great and they offer different specials throughout the year. Don't forget to get a punch card.

Giving 3 stars and not 4 due to customer service. The food is wonderful but the customer service leaves much to be desired. They are never friendly when you walk in and seem annoyed to take an order. I don't imagine that getting up at the crack of dawn to bake stuff all day is overly glorious but when you're in the service industry you SMILE and help the customer no matter what, after all they have a choice on whether or not to spend their money with you. I stopped going so often because I got tired of feeling like I was inconveniencing them with a simple order. I'll spend my money at Great Harvest and get better service with similar quality food.

Bread Basket always has the freshest sandwiches and soups. It's my Wednesday favorite! On Wednesdays they have their amazing White Chicken Chili so I never miss a Wednesday. I love this place and their amazing customer service and delicious, fresh food.

This is one of my favorite places. I love their sandwiches, cabbage burgers, baked goods (cakes, cooked, canoles and such), as well as the breads and rolls they have! It is all super fresh. The Bread Basket is my happy place and my favorite thing are their pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. :)

The bread was delicious (I had garlic cheddar), the sandwich made with it was yummy. The English Toffee cookie was great. The sloppy joe was tasty. The raspberry Danish was fine. The Dutch apple pie was the WORST pie I've ever had, and it was $10 (canned jell filling with very few apples, crumb on top that melted when warmed, and crust tasted like rancid oil). Dinky grocery stores do better than that! Might eat there for lunch again, but never again for pie!

Old time bakery that has been in business for decades. Best pastries in Cheyenne including my favorite Cheddar Cheese Jalapeno bread. Sandwiches made to order, great soups and of course the homemade breads. Limited seating so it may a little difficult to find a place to sit as they seem to always be busy. Highly recommend this place.

Best bakery for the best prices. Great harvest is so much more expensive for just around the same price. My family buys bread in bulk here and it lasts really well in the freezer. I would recommend the cheese danishes (my favorite food and some of the best I've had here) and the breakfast burritos.

Stopped here with family on road trip. Sandwiches were all great, as was the white chilli soup. The ladies running the place are really nice, and they gave us some extra soup for free. Tried a variety of the cookies. The ginger snap was the best. Wish this place was in Texas. Prices were about what I would expect for the food - all four of us had a full sandwich, soup, and a cookie for about $44.

No fancy equipment or pretentiousneas here, just skilled bakers and chefs using old fashioned methods and recipies to create high quality food and service in a fun environment. Don't miss this place when passing through Cheyenne, it's more than worth the detour off the highway into downtown.

Went in yesterday for lunch with my husband. I forgot to say I only wanted half a sandwich, and was so glad that I did! I ate the whole thing and a fantastic cookie! It was so delicious that I decided to get a cupcake... after eating the sandwich, I had to wait a while before I dug into the cupcake. That was hands down the BEST cupcake I've ever had! It was so light and fluffy and the frosting was just right. I can't wait to go back!

Very impressive selection for such a modest sized establishment. All pastries, cookies, cakes, pies and bread are made fresh in store. The menu includes sandwiches, soups, sloppy Joe's, sodas, and even some things that DON'T start with S. Also available, locally made honey, salsa, jam, granola mixes and more. Just be sure to bring a fully loaded wallet, as these items can potentially run near $20 EACH. I may very well be giving The Bread Basket 5 stars, were it not for the time of day that I came in. When I return, I'll have to come in early, because the cream cheese Danish I had at 1 pm today must taste PHENOMENAL when it's fresh.

There are two rush times for the Bread Basket. Once in the morning when people are coming to get pastries for work, and then for lunch when people are getting well, Lunch. You can't go wrong for either choice, but alas I mainly go for Lunch. You will find that as soon as you walk in the door there will be a line where people decide on the type of sandwich they want, if they want soup/chili and the type of desert they want. The cool think about the bread basket is that you can chose the type of delicious bread you want as well. So not only do you have to try and figure out what you want for the sandwich you have to figure out what you want for the bread as well. For me, my staple has been jalapeño cheddar bread with chicken salad, which a cookie. I can't ever go wrong with that.

The Bread Basket Bakery is a Cheyenne must. I highly recommend their home made granolas. They have a bit more honey in them than I expected which makes it a little more chewy than crunchy but all the same, they are delicious. I pick up sticky buns for a friend's birthday each year here. When asked, it is all he wants. A good tip as well, they make fresh challah bread on Fridays, they tend to sell out so get it early but it alone is possibly the most wonderful bread they sell. Stop in for a lunch time sandwich, grab some bread for home and some treats for that work event!

I like the variety of breads and sweets. I tried their turkey sandwich on jalapeno cheddar and it was good. $7.50 for a sandwich on regular size bread is a bit steep, but then everything is expensive anymore...it was nice having a fresh option instead of a fast food burger. I would recommend.
