Reviews of Bakey
I’m so happy to discover this bakery! Clean, spacious space and absolutely delicious food and drinks. I can see myself coming here often. Today i tried Chocolate Salami (i used to love it when i was a kid, and so surprised to find it now!), potatoes salad, and potato burekas. They have so many more choices and exciting things to try! Definitely visit if you are passing by.
Amazing bakery!
The breads looked very good.
Clean, spacious space and absolutely delicious food and drinks.
They have so many more choices and exciting things to try!
I’m so happy to discover this bakery! l will certainly be back.
Amazing bakery! We enjoyed so much the atmosphere while sitting there and eating great pastries. It was exactly what we needed here on our 3 day visit in Boston. Great variety of sandwiches as well, and delicious babka. And the excellent coffee paired very well.
Went here because of the reviews and it 100% lived up to the hype! The staff was very nice and even gave me a generous sample of the chocolate babkah. I asked for another recommendation and they recommended a cinnamon bun and WOW I’m convinced this is as good as cinnamon buns could possibly get. The bun was perfectly fluffy and moist and not too sweet 🤤 They even made me a latte with 1/2 a shot of espresso (the acidity is too much for my stomach right now otherwise)
Great bakery, super clean and spacious, has a decent amount of very distanced seating. I went half an hour before closing and everything still tasted super fresh! We absolutely loved the potato pastry, and the cinnamon rolls are some of the best I've ever had. Bread has a crunchy crust and chewy inside. Very nice to have a quality bakery in an otherwise touristy area. They will also tell you how to store your baked goods.
Have you ever seen a 4.9 star bakery? Well I have not, and after eating some delicious breads and pastries here I can see why it is 4.9 stars. It is so great that I ended up eating here for breakfast every day for the rest of my Boston trip. You should definitely make a stop here.
This place is such a gem, right across from the Boston Common. The smell of fresh bread hits you the second you walk through the door.
My husband and I have tried just about every flavour of babka that they offer by now, and each one has been delicious. The cookies are also really good. They offer a discount on coffee when you get a pastry which is a nice touch.
Wow!! What a delicious bakery!! The food tastes so fresh!! You can tell that the food you buy was made within the hour. I highly recommend visiting this place!! (Get the chocolate babka)
Astounding array of fresh Scandinavian pastries served with passion and love.
Last year, when I accidentally stumbled upon their grand opening, I saw a bustling crowd inside the store, but didn’t think much of it. Their emphasis on chocolate babka seemed appealing, but I already had a reliable spot for my chocolate babka fix in NYC.
Recently, I went in for the first time to try some of their pastries. They were offering free samples of their babkas, and I couldn’t resist trying as much as I could. I ended up getting a loaf of their chocolate babka, almond babka, and a spinach and cheese bureka, and Scheft’s passion for serving fresh pastries all day was certainly reflected on everything I tried.
Almond marzipan wrapped around the crunchy and puffy outer layer, the almond babka was a delightful experience. Bureka also had a similar outer layer, but its warmth made a huge difference in texture and flavors. The real highlight for me was the chocolate babka. Without being too buttery or overly sweet, they managed to make a perfect loaf of blissfulness that could easily make me oblivious of all the great experiences I had with the Breads bakery in NYC.
Will definitely return to try their other fruity flavored babka and croissants, and highly recommend to pastry fans who are tired of Italian or French bakeries.
Amazing bakery!! They have the best and the most delicious chocolate and almond babka I’ve ever tried, I enjoyed every single bite of it and also they have an amazing cookies and gluten free brownie
Hands down the best bakery I've ever been to. Everything is absolutely awesome. So soft and delicious. Drop everything and come here asap. You won't be disappointed.
A GREAT GEM 💎 in my neighborhood!!! I wondered why I never noticed this bakery as I walked on Boylston street in downtown so many times!!! It came to my attention when I was checking out bakery that opens early on the weekdays!
I bought a Almond Babka and Chocolate Babka to try… Wow! The pastries are a lot tastier than it sounded or looks!!! They are delicious!!! I’m craving for them and will get refills this weekend with my bf! The entrance looks normal, but do go in and buy a babka or two! The taste speaks for itself! No wonder it has 4.9 ⭐️ in Google!!!
Conveniently located near the MBTA Park Street station. The babka selection is spectacular including chocolate, strawberry, raspberry, chocolate, banana, pecan among others. The nova lox bagel is excellent. The breads looked very good. Bright and clean dining space.
There’s baking, and there’s baking with passion. Bakey is the latter, in spades.
Our search for a whole wheat sourdough loaf brought us here (great and healthy ! ), but the Babka(s) keep us coming back.
The staff is kind, patient, friendly, and knowledgable, and all are disciples of their mission to issue forth transcendent food for the pleasure and well-being of their customers.
But please, do not… do NOT - dunk your Babka into their cappuccino !… unless you can safely handle a moment of incapacitating bliss. Food-asmic.
Also worth noting is the display of modular build-your-own salad ingredients in little containers - like a sneeze-proof salad bar.
GO!
I thought I knew good Babka. I grew up in Florida, Have family in NY, I’ve been eating Babkas my whole life. Apparently I was wrong. I’ve never had anything as soft and moist on the inside with a flakey outside and the perfect amount of chocolate as the Babka here. This is the only bakery I’ll ever buy a babka from. I’m even tempted to try other babkas like apple or maybe even a cinnamon Babka!
Oh my god! Amazing pastries, we loveddd the pumpkin babka and the almond :), coffee is perfect and the staff and service superb. Top notch place! Fine baking 😍 …
Spectacular food. I have not had a good baguette since I visited Montreal and Bakey is good to the point I can be at ease of trying to find another good spot to buy a baguette.
This is by and large one of the best bakeries I have ever been to.
Story goes it started out in Israel, and then moved to New York, and finally landed on humble Tremont Street here in Downtown just last August- the original is still out in the old country I've heard.
I barely noticed the place from the street, but when I saw the degree of quality and craftsmanship to which even the most basic of bread loaves was made, I had to walk in and try something out. Uri Scheft, the owner, was hard at work filling out orders and checking ovens on my way in... and as I walked out, with their specialty Chocalate Babkha, I had a smile on my face for the first time in weeks. I cannot overstate how legendary this baked dessert is: Imagine a croissant, mixed with a brownie, mixed with a cookie, layered over and over...and multiply the flavor quality by ten. You've got yourself a Baked Babkha from Bakey, bud. Delicious.
The service here was excellent and I was fascinated by the twisted loaves and other artisan quality breads. I get option paralysis easy, so I can't wait for round two when I return again.
A solid 5 stars!
This place surpassed my expectations. Bakery is clean, open, and with great design. The smell of fresh bread as you meet the door is delicious. We had three pastries, cinnamon bobka, summer cake, and a savory cheese one I don't remember the name. I was so pleasantly surprised by how not overly sweet (or cheesey) these were, flavored with intention and well done. Finally, the late, as a coffee guy, was surprisingly good. The foam was luxurious and the coffee itself solid but not outstanding. Would come again
My experience at Bakey was simply delightful. The capuchino was fresh, the staff was friendly, and each pastry was more delicious than the last. I will certainly be back the next time I'm in downtown Boston!
Friendly and helpful staff
Everything looks delicious
I tried a piece of the chocolate babka
To me it seemed slightly underbaked however still rich and delicious
Will come back to try more
Regular ice coffee okay, spinach and cheese bureka was good but would be amazing if warmed. Chocolate babka was worth a try.
The babka was delicious, as you would hope. They have a good selection of different flavours. The chocolate was decadent. We also got a muesli roll with was tasty to
Delicious baked goods from Bakey. I got museli roll, mini baguette, whole wheat sourdough loaf and tuna salad. Next time, I'll be back to try their babka.
This place just opened recently and I couldn't wait to give it a try. I was so psyched I clapped my hands when I walked in. The employee that helped me shared my excitement and was extremely helpful in explaining the different pastries available, from sweet to savory. I chose the broissant (vanilla with pearly sugar), apple babka, cinnamon babka and a latte. They gifted me a multigrain roll that was quite tasty as well. Since I went there a week and a half ago I have already been back twice. Chocolate babka is very sweet and almost baklava- like. Go if you have not been!
In a word: fresh
In brief: amazing bread and baked good which keep coming through the morning and day. The ovens are truly “always on”.
In more detail: My wife and I live in Beacon Hill and we are flanked by two great bakeries, Tatte (which is throughout Boston) and Flour (also based in Boston). We were eager to head to Uri Scheft’s (the owner and chef and a famous, published baker) new bakery to see what it was all about. The concept is “ovens always on” (see picture), And so rather than preparing food early in the morning and then selling them throughout the day until they sell out, they are constantly baking from the moment they open until just before close. This means that all the stuff that comes out is fresh, and that there is a little bit of a mystery in terms of what is still available at any given time.
Most importantly, the bread and baked goods are excellent, delicious, and just as I would expect them to be based on what I knew about the place. The space is still being built out but it’s comfortable and it’s nice that you can see everything baking in the kitchen while you’re eating.
Overall: highly recommended.
My first time here, it was quite busy. I bought cinnamon babka & spinach cheese burekas. Spinach burekas was a bit on salty side but both were good & a bit on pricey. The total was over $10.
What an amazing find! Wanted a family run bakery for morning coffee and stumbled into this delicious and welcoming place! Owner, Or, was personable and kind-made wonderful suggestions and offered complimentary pastries. Coffee was also delicious!
Had the goat cheese croissants…AMAZING!!!
Babkas, breads all delicious! I will be back and you need to go!! Across from the Boston common-so easy to get to!
Don’t miss it!
Truly this place is at least a 4.9. Their bagels are the best I've ever had, the bread dough is as light as a cloud and they were warm, just out of the oven. I also had the raspberry babka, a difficult choice since everything looked scrumptious. A genuine Jewish kosher bakery using the freshest ingredients.
clean and delicious! Cross the street from public garden, great just pick up some lovely bread when visiting Boston!
The most FRESH and DELICIOUS pastries, coffee and food in Boston. You will enjoy every bite and every sip. Go give it a try and won't regret it.
The staff is super friendly and helpful.
Extra: Bilingual Staff (Eng/Span)
I ordered catering from Bakey for a birthday party. Everything was super delicious!!
The food was incredibly fresh and perfectly packed. Delivery was on time and as expected. We ordered a Savory pastry tray, Cheese and Breads platter, Salad platter and 24' Babka for dessert.
Everything was beautifully organized and ready to be served. The salads were so fresh and delicious! It beautifully served in individual containers.
Excellent experience!! I highly recommend!!
One of my new favorites in Boston. It always smells fantastic with the baking and everything I've had is excellent. Have recommended to multiple friends and they've all enjoyed it during their visits as well
I am a huge fan of Flour bakeries but Bakey is really wonderful. The chocolate babka, and the spinach and cheese pastries are all “to die for.” We even brought a whole chocolate babka to a party, warmed it for a few minutes and it was the hit of the evening. (The bagels are more like a brioche than a bagel, which is supposed to be a bit more chewy) Great new place. Hope they really prosper. Some people like Mike’s Pastry or Modern Pastry but wait till they come here! It’s heaven 😋
this bakery is fabulous. all the pastries are amazing. I wouldn't say that they have the best coffee though. but their matcha latte is really good
Loved our first stop here, coffee, chai latte and an apple babka. Later we popped in for lunch, just as divine!
The babkas are famous and deservedly so! Huge and delicious and sat w coffee in bright and comfortable space. They had so many fresh baked options.
such an amazing bakery 😸😸 the staff was so nice and the chocolate babka is the best …
Incredible delicious pastries! We stopped in for coffee and had the Bureka and strawberry broissant which were both very fresh and very good. I’d highly recommend stopping in if you’re a fan of pastries.
The atmosphere was nice and welcoming. I was super excited about sourdough bread and babkas based on some micro influencers’ recommendations. The sourdough bread was really average, nothing more special than what you find from groceries. The chocolate babka was good but it had a mono taste; I was looking for something with more complex and exciting flavor. I also had cappuccino to dip babka in it, the coffee was ashy and bitter, not sure if the espresso machine was dialed in.
I will start with the positive. The seeded challah was delicious, perfect in many ways. I will preface my next comment with this, I grew up in NJ and NY, I know bagels. Bagels should be firm and crusty on the outside and dense and chewy on the inside. Bakey does not know bagels. Their bagels…they are bagels in shape only, they more resemble a roll. Soft all the way around, in fact the challah had a chewier center than the bagel. I am sure there are many more delicious baked goods at Bakey, but they should rethink their bagels, you can get a better one at stop and shop.
A free chocolate chip cookie sample had me hooked. I have never paid as much for a cookie in my life, but they are big and so good as to be worth it! Bakey offers other types of pastry, but make mine the chocolate chip cookie!!!
No question needs. I ate all of bakery here. Ridiculously Fresh bakery!! Here is the number 1 bakery in Boston! If you disagree, you have wrong taste senses. ;) no photos can be showing Freshness in here. Just visit and eat!! That’s all!!!
I have had babka from Zabars, Zingermans, Russ and Daughters, local Brooklyn bakeries, and Trader Joes and they do not come close to being as delicious as Bakey's babka. It is amazing. Light, airy, moist and flavorful with just the right amount of sweetness. They do not skimp on the filling. I wish all babka tasted this good. Their sesame seed challah is also to die for. The counter staff was friendly and efficient. This is a gem of a bakery.
This place is AMAZING. Incredible baked goods— perhaps the best in Boston. What a treat. We had the chocolate babka, bagels, and cookies. They also make great espresso drinks. Yum!!!
So clean and open! it feels like an ikea in here. (in a great way). The folks who work here are smiley and energetic, I get the feeling that managment is kind here. The food is amazing and the coffee is too! Big windows let lots of sun in and are great for people watching. There are limited outlet spots but thats literally the only downside. I will be stopping by whenever I'm in the area!
I go to bakey almost everyday! Everyone is so friendly and helpful and everything is delicious. Valeria is always a joy to talk to and makes the best lattes :)
One of the best breakfast and snack place near Boston commons.
I tried their spinach cheez bureka and chocolate babka. It was a good combination of sweet and savoury. Cappuccino was good, hot chocolate is not worth it.
This place is a must. Insanely fresh and excellent quality. Had the cheese bureka and the chocolate, banana, pecan babka. 10/10. (Only suggestion is that they should have a three head espresso machine and more baristas, there's a clear bottleneck there!).
Fabulous pastries (esp. babka), bagels, sandwiches. Great coffee and it is immaculate! Check out the MLK statue in the Commons then cross the street for a real treat.
This place was awesome. Stopped in before a holiday tour of the city and cheese sticks were light flakey and perfectly cheesy. Also cinnamon buns were super tasty.
Delicious bagel sandwich and the apple babka too, friendly and quick service
Excellent place for sour dough bread and pastries. The pastries are on the sweet side but they do the sweetness right and balance everything with great flavor.
Chocolate babka was delicious. However, the piece is HUGE and Pricy. I would rather to buy a fresh small piece and pay less then pay more and carry on leftover and eat later dry babka.
Such an excellent start to our day! Pastries were tender and flaky, and super duper flavourful. Loved the wide variety of selections. Staff is also very friendly and they work fast!
We got the cheese boureka, almond babka, and chocolate babka. Can’t wait to come back tomorrow for more 😊
i've been visiting this place since summer and let me tell you it is amazing and it become one of my favorites spots to get coffee and tasty pastries. all the staff is very nice ans friendly no doubt I’ll continue visiting ♥️
The challah was off the hook. I probably shouldn't have eaten the whole loaf.
It also has nice open spaces and plenty of seating.
I'm a fan.
Such a great place. The baking goods is wow
one of my co workers always take the chocolate babka to us and we simply love it!!! I’ve been myself there to try more stuff and the staff is so nice
Wonderful and clean place.everyone is fast ( in good way ) fresh pastries and the chocolate babka is just fabulous the latte art was so pretty and the personnel speak French this was so helpful for my family thanks hibat
I will definitely come back
True French bread. The goat cheese croissant was amazing. Always great when something is memorable
Great bakery and cafe! I stopped in for coffee and ended up getting two kinds of bread and some pastries and olives, too. They explained how to store anything we don't eat right away. :)
Everything is amazing. The chocolate babka is to die for and the bagels are so fresh.
I love Bakey, their Babkas are amazingly fresh and delicious. As a regular customer, I highly recommend this place as ‘must go’ one at least once in your life.
A must place
Wow
Best sourdough baguette in Boston
Amazing fresh sandwiches
The Babka is to die for.
The burekas is the best in Boston
An amazing taste of Israeli baked goods from the best baker in israel Uri Scheft.
This is the MOST AMAZING place!! Absolutely everything is blow your mind delicious. Like why have I not been eating this my whole life delicious. Chocolate babka, bagels with the perfect texture, almond pastries that absolutely MELT in your mouth. Yum!! The employees are so incredibly nice to boot. PLEASE start shipping so us poor souls who don’t live in Boston can better our quality of life! Visit this spot asap.
Wish there were more stars. This bakery was fresh, clean and you could taste the art that they put into their food. Extremely reasonably priced, they created food, they didn't just bake it. Additionally, the staff were engaging and helpful, even offering us extra treats to try. Very excited about this spot and very sad that we were only passing through. This should be a local's every day and a visitor's whole vacation!
Very delicious! When I first heard about this bakery I instantly wanted to try. I was not disappointed at all. I can’t remember what the pastries were called, but I have pictures of them. It was kind of pricey though not gona lie… Definitely need to come back for more! 9/10
Amazing food! Beyond five stars. Everything is fantastic. Delicious 😋 …
The bagels were so fresh! The pastries were so soft and flaky! We also ordered a chocolate babka which was rich, but delicious. Coffee was good. They have restrooms and tables inside and outside. Everyone there was super nice. A great way to start your morning.
The people who work here are nice and the baked goods are great. It's somewhat similar to Breads in NYC but some good differences too. Nice location near Boston common.
So so good! Best babkas in the world! Amazing coffee! Perfect ❤️
Arguably one of the best bakeries in America. Boston is so fortunate to have famed baker / cookbook author URI Scheft now serving us his incredible baked goods. I’ve gone twice in five days and tried different things like the goat cheese burekas and chocolate babka. Everything has been right-out-the-oven exceptional. Don’t waste your time waiting in line at Tatte. Just come here and experience what an authentic local bakery is supposed to be. Will be back time and time again.
incredible sweet and savory pastries. Goat cheese croissant was a standout. Great cup of coffee, too.
What a treat! Waited in line twice for the babka and it was worth every minute. I also highly recommend the cheese boureka.
Good bakery! It tastes really good! And not expensive! And nice service!
Great burekas and cinnamon hala pastry😋. Everything was fresh and the place is very clean and convenient to take a break or take something out for a picnic at the park. The sandwiches looked good so we'll be coming back to try more things. …
Phenomenal babka. It is a nice space with some indoor seating and locating just across from the common. I also got a boureka, which was good, but not nearly the showstopper the babka was.
Wow! How delicious! Was in Boston just for a day and I am glad I could enjoy these amazing bagels, chocolate bread and the delicious coffee! Super friendly staff!
the babka!
I'd go here more frequently if they made a really good London Fog drink.
I love the cinnamon babka.
chocolate ain't bad either.
such a great addition to the area.
can't say enough good things about it.
looking forward to buying my full box of babka soon.
This is a 6 stars review. Been here 4 times in my 3 days vacation in the city. Super tasty, everything is fresh and baked on the spot. Coffee is great too!
Waiting for you to open a new Bakey in D.C 🤞 …
We stumbled upon this bakery during our short trip to Boston and we’re so glad we did! I had a lox bagel sandwich and an almond babka - highly recommend both!
The everything bagel with tuna was the best!!
Wow! Incredible good, Excellent babka. Everything is freshly baked and delicious.
I'm so surprised that this place never came up on any of my searches. It's easy to just pass by this place because it's not very noticeable and the sign is just a banner. I suspect that the permanent signage will go up eventually. The only way we found out about this place was because a local recommended it and said the babka was great, which it was.
We were only in town for six days. We found out about Bakey on our third day. We finished the entire babka by the next day and had to go back to buy two more before we left Boston.
Highly recommended!!!!!
The best bakery experience ever. The unique collection carefully curated and assorted to give you the best bite of each masterpiece baked at this bakery
First time in Boston. Was first on my recommendation list on where to eat. Chocolate Babka was superb. Place went beyond expectations. Super friendly staff !
I've tried a number of different babkas and burekas at Bakey, everything is absolutely delicious. It's always incredibly hard to decide what to eat here, I want it all!
Upon entering I was shocked at how big the kitchen actually was. They have a lot of pastries and bread being made, but the coffee unfortunately wasn't a hit for me.
Awkward location for me personally.
This place is fantastic! So delicious! However, do they have to play loud music? Can’t we just have a more quiet place to eat and chat?
Amazing patisseries, bagels and challahs. VERY recommended.
This place is brilliant!
We came in for the sweets and I'm so glad they were out because the savory Babka's (pizza, Mediterranean) were AMAZING!
Also, if you never tried the cheese sticks you're in for a treat - these are just too good.
Can't wait for the next time to try the sweet Babka's 😊😊😊
Update: The eggplant matbucha (when available), and their homemade Harisa are sooo goood.
Really down to earth.
Delicious, not pretentious.
Had a salmon bagel. The bagel was the BEST and SOFTEST bagel I've ever had in my entire life. Bravo.
Wow! When you walk in the delicious aroma of baked goods wafts around you. When you bite into the chocolate babka you are rewarded with the perfect combination of crispy and doughy with just the right amount of chocolate. Would recommend to anyone visiting Boston!!
First off the staff was super friendly! As an Israeli who misses her bakeries abroad I was so excited to try this place. Unfortunately this wasn't up to par as my chocolate babka was utterly dry and not warm and gooey as I know it. Not sure if this is because of the time I went in around 11am or not but I was disappointed. The bourekas was fairly decent.
This was a new bakery to me. Everything we had there was really good. I kind of expected more choices for baked goods for the name but great never the less. They had some quick service items but not a complete selection. I kind of felt unsure their identity--bakery or cafe? What they did they did well. Great location right by commons so you can take to the park.
A fantastic bakery, great people and amazing cinnamon babka! I will surely go again soon.
This Bakery is outstanding, the Chocolate Babka + coffee is the perfect way to start the day, or sandwich with your choice of filling for lunch. I'm addicted!
Loved loved loved this place! Arrived at 9:30am on a Saturday (they open at 8:00am) and all the chocolate babkas were already sold out, so make sure you are ON IT. But everything else we had was just 100% so delicious. Got the raspberry babka, the challah, the salmon brekkie sandwich (in challah), the almond babka, and the "plain" (which had a special name that I forget). Everything was just divine. The lamination! The depth of flavor! The soft, fluffy dough!
Service was friendly. Prices are fair, not low but given the quality, definitely reasonable. A loaf of challah will run you $7 or so and most slices of their babka are $5 or so.
Just wow! The chocolate babka is amazing. The sesame challah is delicious and so full of flavor. Chocolate chip cookie was one of the best I’ve ever had. This place is a gem.
One word: babka! This wonderful bakery has a rather limited variety of pastries on display. However, don't let the small selection fool you, everything is amazing. The chocolate babka is the star of the show, a perfect chunk of carbs and chocolate. There is a supporting cast of several other babkas, with apple as my personal favorite. In addition, there's the usual overpriced lattes, if you really need that fix. Recommended stop while walking around the city!
Just perfect. Everything is always fresh and nicely packed at this place. I love their raspberry babka - not too sweet and the right ratio of raspberry to bread. The chocolate babka is also amazingly buttery stuffed with semisweet chocolate - it's almost as good as the sensational babka at Breads Bakery in New York. Depending on how much you order, they sometimes give you a complimentary baguette which is great.
The most amazing pastries. The smell as soon as you walk in, is out of this world. Highly recommend.
Excellent and Vegan friendly. Great variety and very similar to Breads Bakery in NYC.
All the sandwich options are delicious , I really enjoy visiting this place :)
I absolutely love the all season summer roll - it literally tastes of summer! Not too sweet and so flavorful, perfect pick me up on a cold day.
The coffee is a great pairing and the discount with a pastry is a nice perk!
Amazing bakery! Goat cheese croissant, bagels with lox, pastries, lattes, everything was on point.
Most amazing baking goods in Boston - hands down! High quality and friendly staff!
Stopped in today around 4:30 and didn’t realize they were closed. One of the employees (could have been the owner, I’m not sure). Graciously gave us a bag full of pastries that they had leftover. I’m not exactly sure what the name of the Rosemary cheese roll was, but it was excellent. The chocolate babka was some of the best I’ve had ( and I eat a lot of pastries!). I will 100% be back here!
Best chocolate Babka we’ve had. It was over even before I could get a picture of it! Don’t miss this one.
Hands down one of the cleanest restaurants in Boston. There is literally not a spec of dust, dirt or grime anywhere and that includes under all of the shelves and cabinets. Absolutely outstanding job to the Bakey team for the cleanliness of this facility.
Everything is so fresh and delicious and you can't go wrong with savory or sweet. The cheese bourekas fresh out of the oven are fantastic! Also for $2 you can add a hot coffee or even cold brew to any pastry as a combo.
Everything is delicious. Blue cheese brioche was a salty, sweet treat. Chocolate babka is deep and rich and buttery. Can't make a wrong choice. Service is friendly and efficient. Despite its busyness and long line which moves quickly, everyone there is personable and cheery.
Truly out of this world babka! Their pastries, bread and everything else not only look amazing but taste just delectable! Excellent customer service too!
The BEST babka I’ve ever had, which alone would be enough for a five star review, but to add to the greatness of the experience is the amazing customer service. All of the employees and managers were incredibly kind, and generous with recommendations for the area. A must have in the Boston area.
What a great place! We ordered the cinnamon babka and the special blue cheese brioche. Both were fabulous. To the coffee lovers, enjoy an extraordinary cappuccino. Don’t miss the challah! Looking forward to our next visit to the city. We won’t miss the Bakey.
Absolutely wonderful. All sandwiches and pastries were unbelievably delicious.
Excellent bakery! Recommend the goat cheese croissants and the babka
Amazingly fresh pastries and friendly staff. Just walking in and smelling the constantly freshly-baked bread is enough to make your day better. The bourekas are melt-in-your-mouth good and warm from the oven. Add on a reasonably priced cup of coffee with every pastry purchase and it is a must try in Boston.
Always great, new items a like banana babka added rotating as well as standard favorites like regular and almond babka. Savory items like the cheese stick and sandwiches. Coffee drinks are okay. Staff are friendly and efficient, it’s when it’s super busy.
This amazing bakery sits nestled in an unlikely location beside a McDonald’s and a Burger King. The babkas and bourekas are flakey and delicious, and the staff is warm and welcoming. Can’t go wrong with any option but the chocolate babkas are my personal favorite!
Flourless chocolate brownies here are chefs kiss. Absolutely wonderful.
We ordered a 24” chocolate babka and they gave us a complimentary babka!!
The nicest staff, the most incredible babka, and though you wouldn't expect it, even the drinks are surprisingly good! You have to go for a snack or dessert.
Walking distance from the Park station. Not an area known for good food but this place is an exception.
The best meal we had when visiting Boston by far! Everything so fresh and so magical, highly recommend 💕 …
Absolutely delicious and fresh. Very nice staff, cheese bareka, almond babka, and chocolate chip cookie are to die for.
Delicious!!! The goat cheese bureka and chocolate babka were perfect. Crispy and flakey while being soft and doughy on the inside. Great food, coffee to the exceptionally friendly service. Would highly recommend!
Warm, fresh, delicious. When I do my 1 day/week at the office, I stop in for my morning coffee. And a babka. Well, 2, actually. Always a raspberry and then one other. I also pick up a small bread, which I eat as a late morning snack while it is still fresh. Luckily I then have another week before I go back into Boston - I am barely running enough miles each week to work this addiction off.
Since Bekey's Bakery arrived next door, we felt that God listened to America, the only thing we missed, was our inability to buy authentic European bread. No more. BECKEY"S has fresh and exellent Sauredough bread, wonderful rye bread and a great selection of burkas and babis. The staff is friedly
stellar, best bakery in Boston by far
New Bakery with amazing pastries. Don't miss the Cheese Burekas and the Almond Babka. The best breakfast options when you're near Boston Commons. Coffee is great too!
Outstanding cheese sticks. Delicious baking. Hard to park.
Bakey is the newest offering from one of Israel's top bakers, and is an attempt at recreating Israel's fantastic bakery culture.
They are perhaps most famous for their laminated doughs, and thus their croissants, burekas, and babkas. These are constantly coming out of the oven, fresh AF, and live up to the hype. I think you'll have a hard time finding a better croissant without heading to Paris (or, at least, NYC).
If it's a sandwich you want, Bakey has an array of breads, and various fixings for sale--cheese, smoked fish, etc., Many are sourced from local producers. We were too full on baked goodies to try the breads this time, but you can bet we'll be back.
I used to eat babka sold at a national grocery chain and would go through about a loaf a day. Once Bakey opened, I just had to get over there. The aroma once you walk in is enough to make you drool. I’m not exaggerating when I say this is one of if not the best babka I’ve ever had. I also got a cheese boureka that was equally delicious. Espresso was also good. Boston was desperately lacking a place like this and I’m worried about how close Bakey is to where I live. I highly recommend you visit - you won’t be disappointed.
I tried four of the different babkas, banana, apple, raspberry, and chocolate. I cannot pick a favorite, they were all incredible! Customer service was amazing as well.
Super tasty and fresh! If people like baked goods (who doesn’t!?), this is THE place. You will be able to try some authentic Israeli baked goods like burekas and cheese straw.
Absolutely incredible, every single thing we got there was a hit. Goat cheese croissant and apple babka were my favs. Absolutely divine. I’m hungry again just thinking about it. Definitely worth the trip!
Excellent. Love everything (especially the chocolate babka!)
The Tremont st of Boston is not the Champs Elysees of Paris. Ok, what they propose is pretty fresh as they advertise but is all is pretty expensive for a regular viennoiserie. A mini Baguette for $5, no way!!!
Place looks beautiful, well kept, pastries and bread looks great. Professional staff.
Cheese bureka and almond babka we're as delicious as everyone have described. Very light, flaky, and tangy...almond paste was not terribly sweet.
Best bakery in Boston. The babka is superb. I've been trying different things since it opened and it is always a great bake.
A wonderful surprise, the goat cheese croissant was simply perfect. Hope they open a branch in silicon valley...
Has a nice Scandinavian feel and the pastries are always fresh. I would recommend the chocolate babka but you'll be happy with anything
Incredible bakery. The service is excellent (they kindly offered my daughter a free cookie). The babka is fresh and delicious.
Not from Boston and, like most other Boston places, quite underwhelming. Too many calories so was quite disappointed with the taste.
Great cinnamon rolls and chocolate bobka!!
Delicious. The goat cheese croissant is amazing
Very good and unique.
Best bakery in Boston. Bagel sandwiches are out of this world

Incredible. The pastries are so delicious and the coffee is superb. The staff is super kind too. I will 100% be returning for more
Top notch! The cheese burekas, the Babka and the Challah bread are excellent and worth the wait. I also got the small Smoked Salomon sandwich, which was terrific.
So good we went back a second day
Love this place, its so delicous and the hot chocolate.... incredible.
No dejen de ir!

The place is awesome! So many varieties of babka! It is truly ridiculously fresh and SO tasty! Thank you so much!
I tried the chocolate babka, spinach and cheese boureka, cheese stick, and muesli roll — everything was delicious, but the chocolate babka was DIVINE. Definitely will be back soon!
The bread and babka are great. The staff is excellent.
Continously fresh from the oven babkas. The service is excellent too.
So good. Garden veggie bagel a secret gem. Can't go wrong. And staff is so nice.

Delicious food!!
Yummy selection, helpful staff.
I brought an order of their cookies to a party and they were a hit! People came up asking where I got them and if I had any more. Definitely worth a visit.
Very Tasty bread. I’m from a long line of master bakers in England and was looking for something similar.. the bagel was spectacular but wasn’t expecting an everything bagel when I ordered. But was still very soft and Tatsy. Their cream cheese is very nice and fresh… the baguette I was a little disappointed with… it looks Amazing but was quite stiff and was inedible after the following day.
The chocolate cake/swirl was very tasty I enjoyed it a lot.
Decent downtown bakery. Good babka.
Amazing bakery with a really good messag!
Delicious pastery and coffe! Get the chocolate Bobkah, you won't regret it. Plus, all kosher!
Chocolate babka perfect with a latte on a cold day.
Fresh pastries and coffee. Can't beat that!
(Translation) In short, the local branch of "Lehamim" bakery from Tel Aviv (although the name is different) excellent selection and of course as delicious as in Israel 😃

(Translation) I discovered this place with toogoodtogo, a very good address where the bread is very similar to French bread. The brioche is very good. And the spinach puff pastry at the top!
