Wow. This is a must. Absolutely delightful. Take note- I visited at 9:00am on a Thursday morning and she was almost completely sold out. What she had left was remarkable. The almond croissant was buttery flaky heaven with a hint of almond in the center. The Danishes were even better. Everything simply made and beautifully presented. This gem of a European treasure in downtown Billings should not be missed. Go early. Go often.

The pastries are super yummy! The dough is light & crispy and the fillings have magnificent flavor and aren't sickly sweet or covered in goopy icing like most pastries. I love that Veronika makes what she feels like for the day, so every visit is an adventure!

The BEST pastries I have had the pleasure of tasting. I arrived at 9 am on a Thursday and she was almost sold out of her products. She suggested arriving by 8am to have the best selection. What we got was SO YUMMY. I can't remember the names of the pastries we tried but I highly recommend anything from this shop. One was almond ( I don't even like almonds and this was delicious. The flake was outstanding!!) YUMMMMMM! WIll be back on out next trip to Billings.

Small shop run by Veronika herself. The variety was less than I had hoped for, but Veronika said she adapted her offerings to fulfill the desires of the local customers. That seems like a good way to do business.

This place has amazing pastries, all served with friendly conversation and a smile. Get there early! Veronika sells out within an hour or two after opening, and rightly so! The almond croissant I ate was DEE-LICIOUS!

What a lovely place! It was our first time there and Veronika kindly went through all the types of pastries she had and explained them to us. It's so nice to see someone so excited to share the lovely things they've made with you. We got one of everything and it was all HEAVENLY!!! The flavors and textures are so delicate and wonderful.

Unbelievably good pastries made by the nicest lady ever. Every time I've been here Veronika is as sweet as her pastries, and I've tried every type of pastry and they are all insanely delicious and fresh. More people need to know about Veronika's, she brings big-city level quality to our humble town. Just make sure you get there early, especially in summer-otherwise she will already be sold out! Wish I could give her shop 10 stars!

The pastries were delicious and the lady who owns the store was very friendly !! Everything seemed very clean and organized. She had a picture on the wall of her Grandmother who had taught her how to make everything. I love how she incorporated that into her business ! We heard she normally sells out by 10:00 so we will plan to go early next time !!

This place is a hidden jem!!! Veronika is a miracle worker of pastries and so down to earth!! And the BEST pastries I have EVER had!! I don't live in Billings, but its worth the 2 hour drive for these masterpieces she makes!!! And smells like heaven when you open the door!! FAVORITE PLACE OF ALL TIME!!!!!!

I originally posted this review years ago but have been back many times and Veronika sets the bar I compare all other bakeries to. Since she opened I have only come across a few bakeries that are even in the same league as her and those were all in Europe. Even if you are just passing through Billings this is a must stop location. Be sure to get there early though because she frequently sells out. Ps: if you want coffee Veronika's doesn't have any but there are several coffee shops within walking distance

Incredible pastries. I went here a couple weeks ago and I cannot stop thinking about it, it would be worth the two hour trip to Billings alone. I had the kouign-amann and a blueberry danish and I don’t think I’ve ever had anything that’s even come close to how perfect and amazing they were.

We love Veronika's. On historic Montana Avenue. Pastry recipes from her eastern European Grandmother. As delightful as any pastry sampled in Paris.

Veronika is a sole proprietor/business owner, specializing in made-from-scratch pastries, inspired by Russian, Eastern European, and French baking. She opened in early September 2017, and has garnered a special following among Billings residents. She bakes from scratch early in the morning each day, opens at 8 am (9am on Saturdays, closed Sundays), and stays open until she sells out. I recommend going early, since sometimes people will buy a dozen or so pastries at a time. You can expect to spend at minimum $3.50. It's a small storefront that's designed for a quick in-and-out (so don't go here to hang), but MoAv Coffee down the block is more than ok with people bringing in pastries from Veronika's. My personal favorite is to incorporate Veronika's/Moav into an easy two-spot morning date.

I live on the far West Side but Veronika's croissants and other items are so good that I will drive all the way downtown just to sit and eat in my truck outside...lol! It's a Saturday morning treat for my kids and I. A lot of what I've had from her takes me back to when we lived in Germany in the 80's when my dad was in the USAF. Veronika is from Uzbekistan if I remember correctly and brings that Eastern European vibe along with a classic French pastry tradition into her tiny little shop and is so dang good that she usually sells out before noon, so get there early before all the good stuff is gone. We typically get chocolate croissants that are so light, flaky and buttery it will make you weep with their etherealness. She uses real French butter and aside from the amazing layers of flakiness is a taste unlike anything you will get anywhere else in town. I've also had her "snails" which are made with the same dough as the croissants but are a bit firmer and have raisins in them. They are shaped like snail shells, hence the name. Another favorite is the walnut Anastasias. They are kind of hard to describe but are delicate, buttery, nutty pillows of wonderfulness. I could go on and on and never list all she makes nor do justice to just how amazingly delicious everything is. Veronika is a true master baker and a really cool lady to boot so do yourself a favor when visiting...get there early, bring coffee or other drinks, and clean up materials if, like me, you can't wait to get home and eat them in your vehicle...lol!

It is a well known fact in Billings, that when it comes to pastries, Veronika's stands alone. Although her selection is limited, her baking skills are not. When I want my out-of-town guests to experience the best of Billings, I take them to Veronika's.
