This little bakery sits incognito in the center of Baltimore City. They have all the beautiful pastries, breads, quiches, cookies, cakes, and Illy coffee you need to feel like you're in a boulangerie, but it's a franchise chain. No complaints here. In fact all compliments. The prices are fair to moderate, but worth every cent. Let the pictures speak for themselves.

We ordered a croquembouche for our wedding and loved it! We live out of state so we worked with them entirely over the phone and without a taste test, and it went better than we could have expected. We've never ordered a croquembouche before so we trusted their guidance on the servings and decoration. They added on white fondant flowers and a border at the bottom that made it so beautiful. And of course everything about it was delicious! Our guests were blown away at how great it looked at tasted.

Love their delicious (if a little overpriced) baked goods. I was upset because I ordered a birthday cake from here and they misspelled the name, but they fixed the situation. I love their little cakes, especially the Frasier (strawberry cream) and Napoleon, raspberry tart, and chocolate eclairs.

While the pastries are always the delicious, the service was another story. Things were moving at a painstakingly slow pace. The lone server was unfocused and unfriendly and took my order incorrectly despite the slow pace. Other people I talked to have also experienced this. Would go back simply because the food is good, but this place could use a different approach to their service.

I seldomly write reviews but I have to write one about this place. My children and I drove close to 30 minutes to the place on E. Baltimore St. because of the good reviews. As we enter the store, a man (who was dressed as a baker) came from the back area, looked at us very inquisively and returned to the back. After 1 minutes, a lady came from the back as well, she greeted us and asked us what we wanted. However, she did not seem to be comfortable with us. There was not the anticipative business welcome of a store attendant, she was dry. I am really weighing my words here. I proceed to place my order. I asked for 4 madeleines, 1 pain au chocolat, and 1 croissant (The pastries were written French). She had to ask me to repeat my order couple of times. I was reading each pastry in perfect French, but she was repeating them in English, and still missed it. As she already started to put the pastries in a box, she was very dry in telling me that since I was having less than what she thought I had said, she was no longer going to put the pastries in the box, and moved them in a paper bag ...It felt almost like she didn't want us in the store. The children did not make any noise, talked or touched anything. When we walked out, my eldest said: "The lady was kind of rude". When we got in the car, we decided to try the pastries right away. The madeleines were delicious, the pain au chocolat was good too, but the croissant was heavy (butter) and not so tasty. We decided to give the lady a second chance - my eldest went back to get 4 more madeleines and 2 pain au chocolat. As she placed the order, the lady mumbled something that she did not hear than had a fake smile on her face. Conclusion: Pastries are good, but I will not go back to the place. I do not recall the last time I was in store and the attendant was so rude and dismissive...very sad. Oh I almost forgot, there was a very little fly dancing around.

Amazing wedding cake! I got my wedding cake from Patisserie Poupon and the cake is extremely beautiful and delicious! Simply the best cake I ever had. I chose the Fraisier cake, it is filled with fresh strawberries, mousseline cream, raspberry syrup, and is topped with marzipan (almond paste)

Yummy pastries! Everything was great. It was so hard to choose. Staffs were friendly. I saw many people stopped by to get their pastries and coffee. The shop has a small seating area. Street parking only.

We've been searching for a great French bakery and this is it. We tried a variety of croissants and they are all light and fluffy with the outside crunch. The quiche was amazing as well. Great flavor and flaky pastry. We haven't tried the cakes but they look good and will try them next time.

This is such a lovely lovely bakery. It smells so good even though you’re standing out of the door! When you walk inside, you would like to have one of everything! This is absolutely one of my favorite bakeries in the city, everything tastes so delightful, it made my day. Everyone passes by, do not miss it!

Ordered a Royale chocolate hazelnut cake and wow!! Can't believe I hadn't been here previously, the cake was stunningly decorated and tasted as good as it looked. Online ordering was easy and I picked it up in person no problem. Staff were so nice and masked up, I will be back! Picture is our half eaten cake, we couldn't get enough of our French treat.

Had our wedding cake done here and it was an excellent experience. The sample tasting appointment was easy and straightforward. They delivered the cake promptly on the day of and was decorated to our request beautifully! We went with a lemon base, and it was bright, lively, moist, and absolutely delicious. Our wedding cake was absolutely fantastic! It tasted SO GOOD that we are still getting compliments from our family about it over a month later. In addition, they allowed us to get an additional slice of a different flavor cake, as my mom is allergic to strawberries (which are my favorite) - she really appreciated the sentiment. I'm so glad this bakery has re-opened for pick up! You can order ahead and take home to bake. The pastry chef brings out your goodies and gives you instructions on how to bake it at home. I could smell the butter when the door opened. Can't wait to bake my fresh croissants! When they have normal store opening - they have a large variety of pastries, cakes, and tarts.

I love this place. My dad had gotten a cake for my aunt about 5 years ago and since then it has been a go to for birthday cakes. Their holiday menu is also delicious, the mushroom galette and pumpkin cheesecake are divine! Like someone else mentioned the cakes and desserts are not overly sweet but just a little bit of sweetness surrounded by the other complex flavors involved in each item. I truly love this place!

I once thought that the Fraisier cake was the best I’d ever eaten until I tasted the St-Honore. The creampuffs, the caramel, the vanilla cream, the whipped cream, oh my. I still love you Fraisier but St-Honore has stolen my heart and my stomach. Great Pastries! Terrible Service! I think i was just racially profiled. Not sure if it was the lack of interaction (she didn't' mention the price or total for the items, she wasn't even able to tell me the size of coffee) or the gesturing to indicate a requested action (i.e. pay now). She may have been having some trouble with her English or felt uncomfortable speaking English but typically when your selling things you'd make an attempt have a positive interaction. Whereby today there was no effort made.

Amazing pastries and cakes of all kinds! I've eaten a few bites at the (limited) inside seating, and while I people watched, the most beautiful cakes were picked up by people with reservations. Looks like they're partnered with Cafe Poupon, so you have a few options to try their baked goods.

I've been waiting for this place to reopen since Covid19! I really wanted an authentic croissant and get my daughter some macaroons so I drove passed in hopes that there were open..!! Yay or open.. it's a small bakery with a huge taste. Every time I'm in the area I have to stop! I'm not allowed in bakeries by myself because I tend to go overboard...good thing my husband wasn't with me. I ordered one of everything, plus a half dozen cookies and macaroons and a quiche..I'm in heaven!..shhhh don't tell my husband.

I went to Patisserie Poupon yesterday with my fiancee in search of a wedding cake after being disappointed with another large Baltimore cake shop. We were blown away with our experience here! They had us sample 7 petit fours which were all scrumptious with top-notch flavors and perfectly moist cake. We ultimately went with the Citron for our cake but I highly recommend all their other cake flavors, especially the Triomphe. They were able to customize the cake almost exactly as we had envisioned it with an elegant cosmic theme at a very competitive price. The woman who helped us (I'm ashamed to admit I'm terrible at names and forgot hers) was incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful. She let us meet with her first thing in the morning and even gave us complimentary coffee and croissant for breakfast after! We didn't feel any pressure to but we put down our deposit right away and will be regular customers!

We were here for a friend's engagement and unexpectedly stayed for the cake tasting that was scheduled. Everyone here was so lovely and I absolutely adore everyone. I have been buying Buche de Noel there for Years. All of their products and their service are So exceptional. I love the older place on Baltimore Street. Excellent and Authentic. When my son and his wife were getting married, Patisserie gave them a tasting and prices that blew them away. They ditched their Frederick and Patisserie made AND DELIVERED the cake to Frederick. The delectable croissants were introduced to me by a friend in Baltimore. While visiting the city this morning, I stopped by the pastry shop to purchase treats to share with my friend. There were a few customers ahead of me. The cashiers stopped for a moment to say goodbyes to a friend or family member with a small child. When both returned to finish waiting on customers ahead of me, one put on fresh gloves, and the other stroked her hand thru hair and than continued to wait on customer which was after she hugged on the young child. When it was her turn to wait on me, I asked her if she would put on gloves. She smartly answered "how do you know I wasn't going to put on gloves." I replied because you picked up the baby than continued to wait on the customer without putting one on. I didn't mention about stroking her hair. She was very rude but I took the high road (after she put on gloves) and continued with my order. When one works around food for consumption by the public, food sanitation habits are a must. I could have been a health department inspector. The other lady had great customer service and sanitation habits. Unfortunately, the lady that waited on me failed the test.

Buttery croissants, a rainbow selection of Macarons, and mouth watering petits fours will tempt you. My guilty pleasure is the almond cream puff filled with hazelnut cream and the mini quiche Lorraine. You can always expect to find Master Baker and Chef OwnerJoseph Poupon in the back kitchen covered in clouds of flour and confectioner sugar! If you need a special occasion cake, the Opera cake with layers of genoise, coffee cream, dark chocolate and hazelnut feuilletine will be sure to impress!

I don't think I can love this place any more than I do. Let me begin by saying their chocolate deserts are to die for everything from portion, taste (Not Sugar Sweet), decorations, and the familiarity with which they treat my mum (Customer >5 years) ensures that we have a great experience every time we visit. Apple Normande Tart, Assorted Mini Pasteries, and Buche de Noel (raspberries) is always a hit with our family.
