Good, hardy sandwiches for $12 before add-ons. They open at 7am (closed Sunday), so it makes for a great stop before a road trip as flavor outside of Anchorage can be lacking. Would recommend.

Sandwiches are really good and come out quickly, but I would recommend not getting coffee unless you want to spend an hour drinking it. Lots of options for bread types, jams/jellies, and coffee additions to take home.

Thank you. Thank you for making cinnamon rolls with raisins in them, exactly like our mom use to make 45 years ago. It is extremly rare to find cinnamon rolls with rasins inside. My grandson now is calling me, to stall for bedtime. So gotta wrap it up. So thank you, again.

An incredible variety of baked treats, the choco peanut butter bar was fantastic, whether you love peanut butter or chocolate you've got to try one, the workers here are great too, come down and see these people for your fresh baked goods. Overall, food is great, will surely come back here!

The food here really is quite perfect. The french toast was actually perfect (served on weekends only I believe). Two slices of the blueberry swirl and two slices of the rasberry cinnamon with maple syrup. Honestly, it took a bit to come out, there was a kerfuffle in the kitchen and the staff was extremely kind and apologetic. Without a doubt, it was worth the wait. Will definitely come here again the next time we are in the area!

I got lunch from here and I'm sad to say that I won't be returning. First, a bunch of the lettuce in my salad was wilted and slimy (before adding the dressing), so that got tossed out. Then my sandwich was almost to eat as a sandwich. The bottom slice was significantly smaller than the rest of the sandwich. I ended up having to eat it with a knife and fork. Which isn't the worst but it is inconvenient.

Excellent customer service. Team goes above and beyond. Recently had an incorrect order, and the manager/team took the time to correct it and then deliver it. I was unable to pick it up, and the gesture in itself was very appreciated and respected. I highly recommend their food, and dining in (when able) is always a relaxing and wholesome experience.

Yep. This is a gem. Rotating daily options of fresh bread including dessert style loaves. They offer a tasting of any of their options so you can try before you buy. Definitely worth a visit.

As always, been here many times. Not once have I and my party experienced anything bad. I try to try new things. Delicious, quality sandwiches and breads. Full espresso options and soft drinks. Love the bread samples. Delicious salad dressings and even gluten free options. From dessert bread to dinner breads they have them freshly baked, daily. Very friendly staff. Another plus is they have a loyalty punch card when you buy 12 loaves you get a free loaf of bread of your choosing. That is their bakers dozen loyalty offer. Yum!

This is by far the best place to eat bread, AMAZING STAFF! This nice, and exciting lady served us, and she just let off an amazing vibe while I ate, she was giving samples out, this was on Valentine's Day, and she gave me a lot of samples, I'd call them servings but she said they were "samples". I love how she complimented my mother on her excitement. Thanks to whomever this amazing lady is! You made my day, and I made more positivity with other people thanks to you!

So many delicious selections, and the samples they hand out are so cool, as they allow the customer to choose from at least a handful of options. The sandwich was amazing, the clam chowder was ok but kind of cold. Will be going here for lunch again soon.

I wish I had taken a picture this place has such Ambiance! It Feels Like Home! It has a big fireplace in the middle , all the baked goods, and the aromas wafting through the air of the things that they're baking. It is also pleasing to the eye, beautiful sights of all the things they baked fresh that day, it was a wonderful place! I recommend you go there! I am really partial to sourdough bread, they sell it by the loaf, and it is so good! They offer samples and the staff is super nice!

I feel like it’s less about the food, although it is good, and more about the atmosphere. It has distinct Anchorage vibes, and in a way where you just want to relax and have coffee. I’ve yet to try a few things but I think this is a good place to swing by if you’re ever in Anchorage, or if you have an hour to kill and want to sit down with a cup. (Americanos are decent)

A bakery has to strike a unique balance for its customers. Some want it to be an upscale grocers, others a dessert shop, while others want a restaurant. Anchorage has many bakeries which excell in just one of these specialties, but I know of only one that hits all three notes perfectly, which strikes the perfect chord for me. Want a pastry? They have you covered with gooey caramel rolls and huge brownies. Want lunch? Check. Excellent choice of great sandwiches on a variety of bread, creative salads, and house-made soups. Need a loaf and some croutons for your home pantry? You got it. Colorful choices, free samples. Add to it the cheerful industrial-rustic decor and friendly employees, and you've got a hang out spot worth returning to weekly.

Lovely place and extremely pleasant staff. It's a really good alternative to Starbucks. You can always get samples while waiting and I love that they carry so many unique items. Those are the Pros. The only reasons I am holding back a 5-star rating are that the place is very small (cozy but a bit cramped) and the prices for most items are crazy high. I usually get one of the sandwiches (if you go, please try the Cranky Turkey!) and have to be ready to spend $10. Again, on the positive side, they don't skimp on the ingredients.

My girlfriend asked if wanted sandwiches and I was like, that sounds great. So we got some from here through Uber eats. One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The bread was sooooo good.

Wonderful place, very warm and inviting. The bread is done well and the lunch menu is outstanding. Service was very quick and accurate. The staff are very knowledgeable and pleasant. The prices are reasonable though the portions are on the small side at least the quality is there.

We used House of Bread catering for breakfast and lunch during a 2-day work event. Both days House of Bread staff had food delivered fresh, on-time, and super friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful and they had a great selection. I would certainly use them for catering again.

Bread is good but the sandwiches lately have been horrible. The avocado was not ripe and instead of vinegarette it was some other secret sauce that was lumpy on my veggie delight. Then I asked for a chai tea and they put coffee and chai tea together. Not good.

I got the Kito Garden Herb the other day and it is absolutely fantastic I love it. And of course the all time favorite is the Kito jalapeno and cheddar. You guys do a great job I appreciate all the bread that you make keep it up.

just had an amazing first experience. I had the western half sandwich and the Angus and cheese soup... let's just say after having Panera bread in the lower states the house of bread beats them hands down on all levels. make sure you try the chocolate zucchini bread you won't be disappointed.

Purchased a loaf of Apple Cinnamon bread that was already stale when I got home and opened the bag. Gave feedback with an email through their website and never heard a thing back from them. Have had good bread from them prior to this and the staff is always super friendly but have not been back since this incident. Be aware of when your product was made when purchasing whole loaves.
