There were quite a few vegan options the morning I went. Donuts are definitely fresh and so good! I tried the piñon roast coffee because New Mexico. I don't generally like flavored coffee but it was fun to try- like a mix between hazelnut and vanilla. I had a Boston cream...savored every bite, and an apple fritter which was pretty standard. I would definitely go again when in town! Staff was friendly and efficient.

The glazed donuts are pretty good. They are a cross between a “melt in your mouth” and doughy donut. The coco and fruity donut were okay. The variety donuts are dense and “packy.” A variety box of 12 is around 22 dollars. Just a heads up for anyone wondering.

REVISION: 2021 The Customer Service of the Management Team is outstanding. Kudos. - These are the best tasting (and best-looking) donuts in the city! Their staff is fun and friendly and look like they enjoy working there I mean, how could you not? You're making donuts ALL DAY :D My wife and I went yesterday for Star Trek Day. They always outshine every other local or franchise donut shoppe because they make a point to make specialty and novelty donuts for obscure holidays (and non-holiday holidays). I also got their Pennywise donuts when "It: Chapter two" premiered this past week. They are always tasty, fresh and cool! Update: They also do DOPE Friday the 13th donuts ON Friday the 13th! Update: Went yesterday in the midday and they have a full selection of tasty donuts. Good show!

Medicare donuts. We actually only go here because they do gluten free and that's all my wife can have, but as far as their normal donuts go, they're just ok. I think their frostings are too sweet and the balance of their donuts always seems off. I appreciate their commitment to doing new and interesting flavors, they always have cool ideas, but execution always feels off to me. If you do go, be sure to try the Homer donut, it's solid and a customer favorite of anyone I have ever seen while I am there.

Phenomenal selection of donuts. Like so many things in Albuquerque, it might help to have knowledge of the TV show Breaking Bad because several flavors are inspired by the show. Our favorite was the French Toast donut, not inspired by the show, it is a lovely square donut with a ball of creamy luciouness and a drizzle of caramel.

Rebel Donuts has a wide variety- each day I go there is something new to try. Absolutely love the maple bacon! They've perfected the flavors and I really enjoy seeing the designs they come out with for pop culture events and holidays. The staff is always friendly and so helpful about picking favorites. This place always has awesome donuts! They have raised and cake donuts in all kinds of varieties, along with some really cool specialty donuts. I would highly recommend checking this place out! They have a friendly staff and a clean eating area. They also have specialty drinks to go along with their yummy donuts. They also have a point system that gets you rewards like free donuts if you're a local and like to support local businesses and get some yummy donuts every once in a while! I would highly recommend this place!

I love rebel doughnuts. As a rule I don't get doughnuts very often. When I was going through chemo though the rebel doughnut was a special treat before every treatment and I got an extra dozen for my nurses. Their doughnuts are not run of the mill. Each type of doughnut is special and they can't be best, by anyone. We save these for special occasions, most of the time.

Impressive selection of donuts unlike any place Ive been to before. Ive been to gourmet donut places before but this place had a selection that was different from all of the others.. I specifically came here for the Breaking Bad "Blue Sky" donuts. I bought a whole box of them, which was the only dozen left and it was only about 10am. I also ate a few donuts while I was there. I tried the French Toast which was extremely rich and sweet. The Chocolate Bacon Chili, which was good, the chocolate overpowered everything else though. I would recommend a visit here while in the ABQ area. Would be a great place to grab some snacks while on a road trip, or some donuts for breakfast while visiting in town.

Rebel Donut has a pleasant, warm atmosphere and feels very friendly. The look is very distinct, and the branding is definitely strong. The donuts seem to be of medium high quality. The chocolate bacon red pepper donut is soft and chocolatey, and while there is red pepper, it's a bit understated. The bacon was tasty. The French toast donut was pillowy and soft, but very, very sweet. The cherry apple fritter was large, with a crispy outside and soft inside. The dough tasted a bit fried, and while the flavor was okay, the cherry could have been stronger and more defined. But they used real fruit and it wasn't too sweet or oily. It was a decent value too.

I’m happy to have found a place that serves a gluten-free donut, though admittedly it wasn’t nearly as interesting as all the gluten ones they made available. Props to them for trying, but making a fun topping for their gluten-free options would make them 5-star. Besides that, they offered “regular” donuts, vegan donuts, fritters, etc. I had a great London Fog and they offered other hot drinks and cold drinks as well. Waited forever in line for one donut, but staff was kind and courteous to all.

I really like the donuts here. There are many different flavors to choose from. I love the different flavors. My favorite is the red Chile chocolate bacon and the blue sky donut.. AKA the "Breaking Bad" donut. It vanilla cake with blue cotton candy icing and blue rock candy sprinkled over the top. If you haven't tried one you are missing out. Love this shop, great selection, creative flavors, Vegan options. Coffee kinda leaves something to be desired. I've gotten mochas a couple of times and barley taste the chocolate so if you have a sweet tooth like me you might want to ask for extra syrup.

Their cake donuts are the only cake donuts I like. They once did a most impressive and delicious arrangement for a baby shower for me. Today I had them deliver 4doz donuts. Surprisingly reasonably priced and devine! I couldn't have asked for a better assortment. Definitely having them deliver again. Their staff is always wonderful too. First time visiting because I am Gluten sensitive. Tried the chocolate, vanilla and birthday cake gluten free donuts and for gluten free they had a great texture and flavor. Also had a dirty chai w/espresso and a dark roast brewed coffee. Everything was delicious and we will definitely be back!

Wow! We took my niece here for some birthday donuts and were delighted to see that they offered gluten free donuts too. They only had a couple, but they were very cakey and very delicious. What you need to know about Rebel Donut before visiting is that they are not your typical donut and coffee shop. They specialize in what I would call "novelty donuts", meaning that you wouldn't necessarily stop here on your morning commute. They have an impressive variety of donut creations but many of them are too sweet for my taste. I enjoy simplicity in donuts. The donuts are incredibly delicious, though, and they are very moist and enjoyable to eat. That being said, I probably wouldn't eat here more than a couple times a year, or to show off to a friend visiting the area. If you are looking for somewhere to stop on the way to work I'd stick to Dunkin' Donuts or similar.

Hands down, best donut shop/bakery in the city. Have been a regular customer since they first opened. Classic yeast raised donuts and cake donuts. They also offer gluten free donuts to order and prepare them in the back away from the gluten products. The lil rebels are good for groups not looking to overdo it but still enjoy the donuts they offer, and dont forget about your furry friends. Grab them a doggie donut while your getting a pinion coffee.

Tough location, but the donuts are definitely tasty. Been wanting to try a kolachie(i think that’s what it is called, sausage stuffed roll?). Their Craft donuts are definitely a novelty and interesting to look at, but actually taste good. Prices are just ok but what should I expect from a small specialty biz. Btw if people want to “politicize” reviews with, “they honor our second amendment rights” maybe I should open carry in case you are at this place when I’m visiting it? Do people really feel that threatened at a coffee shop that they need to be armed every waking? Don’t get me wrong I have an arsenal of my own, but have no intent to advertise this in bright lights everywhere I meander in life.

If you believe that Krispy Kreme or Dunkin are the pinnacle of doughnuts then you probably won't like Rebel. If however, you're like me and think drenching doughnuts in glaze is a crime, and should be punished, then you need to go hit up Rebel Donut for a sweet treat that doesn't make your teeth hurt.

A very good local donut shop that my family enjoys visiting. Staff is friendly and the donuts are delicious! They have some donuts that they serve all the time and some seasonal donuts as well. We prefer the donuts here to the national chains (dunkin donuts and Krispy Kreme). They also do themed donuts as well, Harry Potter, Pokemon, Star Wars, and Breaking Bad to name a few. You have to stop by and try a dozen!

Oh my Donut Heaven... This is NOT your run of the mill chain of fried dough. This is creativity, pride in work that is almost too pretty to eat, and combinations that are pure New Mexico, along with themed donuts and your more tame glazed. Looking for piñon and blue corn (my favorite) - they got your back. Green chilé and apple? Red Velvet, Triple Chocolate or French Toast? All ready for you! One of my favorite bits is the art by Katz Karma. There's something satisfying about art for your eyes a d soul, in addition to your stomach. My only sadness is they are a local chain (and we need to support local!) so there's no storefront in my out of state home.

High prices for the product. Maple bacon in Seattle, WA the bacon is thick not thin. When I purchase I cook bacon at home to place on top of the thin bacon on the pastry. Pastry is pretty good but COSTLY.

The donuts made famous by the AMC cast of "Breaking Bad", especially Aaron Paul, who would show up with Rebel Donuts to the set. I personally love and devour their glazed Maple Cream (stuffed with house made buttercream and dipped in maple). If you're a BB fan, then you should try at least once a Blue Sky donut (vanilla cake, blue cotton candy icing & rock candy) inspired by the TV show. Or, just get an old fashioned plain cake donut. Whatever item you choose, you will return to Rebel Donuts, as I do whenever I visit ABQ. It's probably a good thing I don't live in ABQ, I'd probably weigh more!
