On New Year’s morning, we needed a continental breakfast with a bit of flair. We contacted Great Harvest Bread and they totally exceeded our expectations! Not only were the baked goods presented beautifully, they were absolutely scrumptious. And the gluten-free options were even better! Our entire group of guests enjoyed the complementary variety and raved about each individual offering. In fact, they couldn’t wait to gobble up the leftovers the next day! We are fortunate to have a local bakery that can create this level of quality while performing on short notice. We’ll definitely be calling on them in the future for more baked goods. Thank you Hill and the staff at Great Harvest!

What a great bakery! Great Harvest Bread has fresh baked loaves of bread, along with sandwiches and salads. Today my wife had a breakfast sandwich and I had a roast beef and horseradish. Both were delicious and fresh made, which was a delightful treat. It's a busy little shop. In the time that we waited for our sandwiches, we must have seen a dozen patrons in and out. In addition to buying the sandwiches, we got free slice of bread. Smeared with honey butter, it was so delicious. Perfect appetizer while waiting for our sandwiches. The people who work there were so very nice. The woman who took our order, was helpful, happy, all smiles, and genuinely glad to see us. It's nice to have people like that helped us when we come in to a restaurant or a shop. I don't know how to classify Great Harvest. Is this a bakery? Maybe it's a sandwich shop, or a deli? Whatever it is, this was a lot of fun, and when they have good quality food. Five stars!

I must have died and gone to heaven 😇 It smells so good in here! My first visit here today and I’m out of my mind with joy. This place does the real McCoy bread loafs of many varieties. When you walk I. The ask if you would like to try some of todays loafs and then cut you a huge hunk to try. What great advertising, I bought them both lol. They have the long crunchy French peasant bread, a variety of scones, cinnamon buns to die for, brownies, cake bars as well as a nice selection of gluten free types. They also serve sandwiches, soups to go and other misc kitchen gadgets, gifts and cards. Most breads come out of the oven between 11-2pm and I could see them selling out fast. Can’t wait to cut up a bunch of pieces and use it on a charcuterie board. Finally found my go to bakery. I live in the westside and it takes 30min drive, well worth it IMHO

This place is amazing. I went there for the first time today. The staff is very friendly and professional. They have amazing products, so much variety, especially the breads and they even have a lovely way that you can go inside and make gift baskets or bags for someone as a fabulous easy gift! This is a must visit!

An amazing bakery place! I went here today with my boyfriend and my friend and tried a slice of the honey break with butter and I fell in love! We ended up buying a cinnamon scone and some dinner rolls! Very good bread I love it!

I love this place. It's in a good location and when you first walk in, it smells like heaven. There are so many things to choose from in here and everything I've had has been absolutely delicious. They offer samples for you to try and they make excellent recommendations if you're not sure what to get. They also make delicious sandwiches which isn't surprising considering how wonderful their bread is. My wife and I both love this place and recently joined their rewards program because we plan on coming more often. I highly recommend this place.

Omg this is the best bakery town. evertime I'm in town i stop in for 2 loaves of sour dough bread they slice it and offer a wide variety of baked goods . I drive 230 miles to get there so every slice is precious and delicious

Absolutely amazing!! This is my new favorite place to eat. The green Chile rolls are to die for! Definitely a must have. I got several rolls to take home and share with my family and coworkers. I also got a very yummy prickly pear syrup for drinks. The star of the day was definitely the desserts, so many wonderful options.The service was out of this world they were so informative and took the time to see what you like so they could make a good recommendation. This place made you feel like family. There was limited seating and only outdoors. Only 2 person tables. There also weren't too many trash cans

Excellent selection of breads, sandwiches and other goods. I was given a sample of a large slice of green and red chile and cheddar on sour dough bread, Christmas in July, and immediately got a loaf. They update their variety of fresh baked good every day. Also recommend their delicious, fresh made sandwiches.

This is hands down the best bakery in Albuquerque. If you haven't been there yet you better hurry on over and pick up some fresh baked bread, brownies, cookies, health bars, scones, you get the idea. The owner waited on us and she informed us the she and her husband have been in business for 35 years. They also carry jams, marmalade, condiments, greeting cards and much, much more.

Pricey for undercooked baked goods. Wife and I both picked out some treats from this shop, and both of our things were doughy and undercooked when we began to eat them. We did get some breadsticks, which were fully cooked thankfully, but we probably won’t be coming back any time soon.

I have been a fan of great harvest for years. Liz and Jim are wonderful help when i can't decide what to choose because of so many yummy things. I have always had fresh products which is a bonus because of the things i need to eat with my special diet. I appreciate how they incorporate their love for dogs into their business as i am such a fan of them myself. Last year for Christmas they both were so helpful creating unique gift baskets for friends and family and they were a hit! I know it's been a rough time for business owners keeping staff and hiring staff but i think liz and Jim have done a great job keeping this business going and doing it well. Thank you for providing a great product and atmosphere.

I follow these guys on Insta and they showed a pic of their red and green chili cheese sourdough for Cinco only!! So I made sure to get a loaf and mine was still warm that they couldn't slice it yet. Best bread ever!!! I am a sourdough baker myself and this bread is the bomb! Tobad they don't make it all year round! All their breads and treats are always so much better than the Great Harvest Bread Co in Wichita KS, where I came from! They know their dough!!

Great Harvest Bread Co smells amazing as I walked in the door. I tried the cherry scone and green chili bread. The scone is the size of 3 scones, not dry and crumbly, and simply delicious. The bread was soft without an overwhelming chile taste The store is small and the staff is courteous. There was a line of people waiting for takeout. We bought a package of 4 cinnamon rolls that weighed 2 1/2 lbs!

This is the best for all things bread, rolls, and the like, holiday favorites, sandwiches, soup mixes, and I could go one. They have a special Gluten free section, jams, sauces, pasta, and gift items. The challenge is entering the bakery for your intended item and leaving with only that one thing.......

Moving there; right across the street and I went in not expecting anything. I just loved me some bread!!!!! 🥖 It was busy but not overwhelming at lunch and I got a baguette and joined the reward club. Best bread I have ever had in my life!!!! Sorry to say it La Madeline, it beats yours by leaps and bounds. Delicate inside and hard crunch on the outside. Perfect! Thank you and I will see you often!!! Well worth it and beyond!!!

I'm loving the gluten free options! The folks here are friendly and helpful! Each person that I interacted with was pleasant and a wealth of information. The store was clean, tidy, and functional although I did not check out the restrooms. The smell was nothing short of fantastic and the decor was bright and pleasing. The gluten free options that I tried were delicious. I will absolutely return to try other items, but in the meantime, I'm going to enjoy the loaf of gluten free/dairy free banana bread.

They like being able to choose what they want, and when. I usually buy more for myself than I give to family members. The Stollen is particularly delicious.

Great Harvest makes the best sandwiches! I went in the other day to get my usual Duke City Turkey (with bacon, Green Chili, avocado, pepper jack cheese, etc. on Green Chile Cheese bread). BUT they had a seasonal special sandwich that featured heirloom tomatoes and a herb spread on fresh bread- I think Spinach + Feta maybe. All I know is it was delicious! Fresh, light, and flavorful...perfect for summer. Can't wait till my next visit. Highly recommend!

While you can some tasty sandwiches and such for lunch, the main reason to visit is the massive but changing daily selection of breads, rolls, pastries and fresh baked items you will find anywhere. The dark pumpernickel rye is the best I have had and if you need a special bread or pastry for the holidays, this is a stop you need to make. Enjoy!! Absolutely the best store to go for all your bread, rolls and pastries in Albuquerque.

I live in Rio Rancho and I drive up to Great Harvest once every two weeks to stock up on some bread. The bread is fantastic!! I get the Montana crunch and next week I'll go back up there to get the red chile sour dough. The bread is so fresh, and the customer service is amazing. Everyone is SO nice and helpful. I wish there was a location on the Westside! But I don't care, I'll gladly drive to Great Harvest for their bread. :)

Ah...you just can't beat the wonderful aroma of freshly baked bread when you enter. If you go slightly to your left and back to the counter there are a variety of sample breads from which you can choose for a liberal sample.. butter, jam, honey etc are often handy. We have tried one if their sandwiches. It looked as good as it tasted. Our favorite is the sourdough loaf, but everything we have tried is delicious. They are even open on Sunday.

One of the best bakeries in Albuquerque with a big selection of breads, a weekly schedule, and the ability to pre-order to make sure you get some set aside for you. Friendly staff happily offers samples of each bread so that you know what you are buying and will be happy with your purchase. Lots of small treats that vary as well as pantry items like jams, etc. There is even a gluten-free section, as long as you don't mind it being a bit dense.

Parisienne baguette is fantastic. Many other breads, while very good, have the same/similar texture as the others. Not really artisan. They have gluten free bread, excellent sweets (brownies, pumpkin cheesecake bars, etc), and Keto friendly loaves. You can sample many of the breads to confirm your choice. Their sandwiches are quite good, too.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND BREAD! Before the holiday, I pre-ordered a loaf of bread and gluten free cranberry orange rolls. I purchased a few other items when I picked up my order. When I unpacked the bag, the rolls were missing! I called and they were so sweet, and gave me another full load of gf bread when I went back for the rolls. They have the best tasting, best textured gf bread around@

Just the best bread from the nicest people. We adore the pumpernickel, sourdough, and honey white. Biscotti amazing, rhubarb/strawberry scone is my favorite sweet. Their green Chile cheddar bread is wonderful and seasonal loaves are lots of fun. Family loves their sandwiches for dinner. Veggie sandwich is my favourite.

I have been dying to try this place out. I had no idea there was one within a few hours of us here in ABQ. When I found out, my next trip found me here twice in two days. Each day has a different specialty item but their main breads stay the same. Picked up some amazing bread and HUGE samples. Also try the scones they are delicious.

First visit to one of these franchises - excellent fresh bread in a variety of grains, added ingredients, etc - as well as cookies, scones, and muffins. Sandwiches made to order from a somewhat limited menu, but very tasty. Free samples of the breads happily provided. Seasonal flavorings, too. Worth a visit.

So many kinds of bread, plus muffins and bars. My favorites are the challah, the honey wheat and the green Chile cheese bread. Great cinnamon rolls, too. The customer service is excellent. There are new owners, and they've made some good updates, like putting the rewards program in the computer. They even have sandwiches and do catering now. One of my favorite stores.

Love the bread from this place. We like heavy, flavorful multigrain bread. Our favorites are Honey Whole Wheat, Montana Crunch and Nine Grain Whole Wheat. They serve various muffins depending on the day. Our favorite muffin is the Hummingbird on Monday and Thursday. They also have gluten free breads and biscotti. Their sandwiches at lunchtime are delicious and available on their bread. They do have a public toilet available . They have a loyalty program that rewards shoppers with free cookies, sandwiches or loaves.

This is the best bread in Albuquerque. Fresh daily, a ton of different types, rotating by day and by season. Also, pastries, sandwiches, a decent selection of Gluten free items, especially early in the day. Also artisan jams, jellies, preserves, syrups, sauces, condiments....and other things! This is SUCH a great bread store - the green chile cheese bread and challah will knock your socks off. For an extra decadent treat, use the challah for eggnog french toast this season. Great breakfast in bed surprise, or a Thanksgiving brunch meal. Nothing in the store disappoints, and the samples are a great way to try out new things. Give them a go - you won't be sorry!

I used to go to the Great Harvest in Colorado Springs and lemme tell you, the nostalgia hit hard. The honey wheat bread with some honey and butter on it took me right back to the cold wintery days I'd walk through their doors anticipating a delicious, warm slice of bread. This was no different. Yummy bread, yummy food! It's cute and local minus the owner, Jim, who seems to have lost his passion for the store as he is always grumpy. Every time I order either as a walk in or as a telephone order he's rude with a nasty frowny face. For instance, I ordered in a telephone call and I said "hi I would like to make an order to go please." He was like "what do you mean?? An ORDER TO GO?" I said "I mean an order for pick up." So he's grumpy in that way. Take a chill pill Jim. It makes me not want to go in but I sacrifice the fact that I'll see his face because the sandwiches are good and it's in a convenient location.

Great harvest is a bread company that has been with Albuquerque for many decades. Originally popular for their fresh baked varieties of bread, of which they have many, they have also branched out into providing bespoke bread-centric items. Jams, jellies, spreads, etc. They also have branched out into sandwiches. Having had many, you can't go wrong they are downright delicious. They are all fresh prepared using quality ingredients and of course their own bread. You should be aware however that this is not a chain or line cook style locale. Your sandwich will take a little bit of time to prepare, even if there isn't a line. That said; They are worth the wait.
