I was probably there for less than hour to get my state inspection despite it being the end of the month. They were very friendly and helpful. I’d been to several other shops before going there looking for a state inspection and was turned away saying it couldn’t be done until the following day due to high volumes of people coming in at the end of the month. They told me it would be done by 4pm and it ended up being done by 9:30am.

Took my vehicle in for a slow leak in the passenger front tire. Also had a Tire pressure sensor light on I assumed came from the flat tire. They fixed the slow leak in a timely fashion and called me back. Unfortunately once I got there the tire pressure sensor light was still on. It would of been nice to get a phone call asking if I wanted that issue to be taken care of while they had it up on the racks. Instead I have to take it back tomorrow to get a sensor handled that could of been handled today had I know the light was still on. Other than that great experience.

Got my brakes done a different shop and picked up right when the other shop was closing. Heard a loud knock everytime I hit a bump. Stopped in to Bayside today to see if they were able to possibly diagnose the issue. The guys found it immediately and took care of the issue. Sam even suggested I call the other place to let them know to which the other place refunded me the amount it costed to have fixed. Sam and those guys are awesome. Just wanted to let you know that lugnuts were way overtightened (Honda calls for 80lb/ft). It's obvious they were installed using an impact and the torque was not checked. Also one lug not tight. Usually I get great service not so great this time

Additionally, I use them for any other repair work as necessary. The pricing is reasonable and I have confidence that the work is done correctly. Tip - don’t wait until the last minute to schedule the annual inspection. When I went they were working about three weeks out on inspections.

We had a tire that was low on air, and I was concerned about it, we were a 100 miles from home. They were highly recommended and near where we were staying, so I took my car over there. They immediately took it in the bay, removed the tire, tested it for leaks, etc for 20 minutes or so, but not find any problems, just low on air. Best of all they refilled the spare, telling me that was flat and needed 60 lbs of air. They did not charge anything. We came back later on the way out of town and filled up our tank there, and whenever we are in town, that's where we will go. .

A different shop had recently done my state inspection and told me it’s almost time for new tires and brakes... well I’m new to the area and decided to follow up on that. I set off to find a new tire shop near me. I called Bayside because of proximity and brought my car over- the tech was upfront and honest with me; he took a look at my vehicle and concluded that I don’t need new tires or breaks right away, and even showed me what to look for so I’d know when it’s truly time to bring the car in. They will do everything to get you in soon if you don't have an appointment, but even if you leave the car it doesn't take an exceptionally long time before you get the call to pick it up. I am a new customer to Bayside Tire and Auto Center. Bruce and the team are great listeners and caring towards all concerns/needs; thus, they instilled confidence that my Toyota was in competent hands. Every step of the way, they made me feel as though I were a long time customer. My AC is working better than ever now! UPDATE: Unfortunately, my 2004 AC was not fixed, as predicated by Bruce, w/ simply recharging the coolant. (They did not initially find the leak). 2.5 months later the AC was no longer cooling again. Once more, they recharged it w/coolant and dye. The location of the leak became apparent w/ the location of dye on my garage floor. It was the evaporator, a huge undertaking I have been told and read. Brue gave me a verbal estimate of $800. to $1200. They charged me $1500. I had to leave my car w/ them for a third day because they had forgotten to reconnect the radio antenna. All said, the dash, which had to be completely disassembled, looks untouched and they repaired my gas tank release without being asked. I am still noticing a persistent odd burned smell, which none of their mechanics could detect. Perhaps, residual coolant that leaked onto the exhaust system? Time will tell...

Needed a boat trailer inspection. Never been to Bayside before but they are close to where I store my boat trailer. Called made an appointment for 3 PM about 5 days out. I showed up about 10 minutes early for my appointment they came out and greeted me, immediately did the inspection. Didn’t Nickle & dime me over some subjective points just mentioned a few things that could be improved upon which I was aware and put on the inspection sticker (my trailer met the min requirements but some inspection stations use the manual subjective areas to gin up work – not Bayside) – very professional group. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. As I live on the west side of Norfolk, my only regret is that Bayside is not closer to me as I would be a frequent customer for all my future vehicle requirements based on my experience on January 4th, 2021.

I took the Jeep to Bayside. Turns out the Jeep only needed new brake pads. The $600 quote from jeep was a little over $200 at Bayside. I’m thrilled to find an honest, reliable service station in my neighborhood. Everyone here was incredibly nice, and competent. Bayside had the work done the same day, and earlier than expected. These guys are great! I took my cycle in for inspection. No appointment. They got me in immediately. Had a problem wit a turn signal. They cleaned contacts and it worked fine and passed inspection. No probs. I was prepared to pay for their efforts but no charge. They were professional, courteous and friendly. Years later, I had my car inspected today. 1June21. Still great service! Now July 2022. They did it again! Left care for inspection and repair. They did complete diagnostic, identified issue and fixed it at reasonable cost.

I went to another mechanic first. They quoted me $2,200 to do numerous things to the vehicle to pass inspection. I told them to just give me a rejection sticker and the keys. I took it to bayside tire and auto. They reviewed the list from the first place and told me what I did have to do, what I didn't and were very honest. Turns out I did not need new brakes yet or new tires (just needed to be rotated). They fixed a gasket, HD light, Rack and pinion, and other items at a much better rate than the first place. Picked up vehicle tonight for $600 instead of $2,200. Bayside Tire and Auto is the only place I will go moving forward.
