Charles the main Welder is one of the best I have seen throughout my years. He really does take his time to work on my car. I really love the new Exhaust system on 2009 Audi S6 V10. I might have to take the car back to modify the Exhaust tips only one on each side is currently working. Not sure if the correct tip was ordered. I called and the shop is willing to review the issue in the upcoming week. I just had the car tuned now the car is making 598hp. It sounds amazing 👏 and much better than its big brother the R8 non turbo model Thanks again Mad Hatter. Please see the before and after photo's

I have a newer Jaguar XF-S that I wanted some custom exhaust work done on, including resonator delete and stainless tips. Charlie is hands down one of the best welders in the Tampa Bay area and the exhaust is now awesome sounding and better aligned and centered then it was from the factory. The owner, Victor, is also caring that his customers are happy and satisfied. This is a great shop. Take you pride and joy ride there with confidence for anything custom exhaust related. I am only disappointed that I can only leave them 5 stars!

I have a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander sport and First off this shop is the spot to go to!! Caesar the shop manager is on his job very respectful and one of the most understanding person I have met in a while. I was fortunate to meet the owner Victor and what a great man he knows his stuff and from a personal stand point showed myself and my wife the upmost respect. His team knows their stuff real talk. I’m new to Tampa and I am very picky on who messes with my whip “car” to where if I can do it myself I will. Mad hatter is really the spot!!! I honestly recommend taking your car business to these guys. Check out my pics of the job done super clean and with warranty. They will always have my business. If your in Tampa and need work done take your wheels here you won’t go wrong.

I left work today and I noticed a rattle from underneath my truck. I looked under and the welded bracket for my tail pipe had broken. I went to Mad Hatter seeing it was on the way home. I wanted to see if they could at least look at it. I was met by Carlos who took it right in at 4:15 mind you. His mechanic welded it up for me so no more rattle! Carlos was very down to earth and easy to talk to. He kept me appraised how the process was going. This Shop is very professional and honest. Something lacking at other shops. I will be back for service work in the near future.

I went to this place not sure what exhaust setup to use. Victor (the owner) was patient in explaining everything and willing to go through the process slowly until i found the sound i was looking for. Unlike many owners he is very hands on and makes sure the quality of the work is top notch without breaking the bank. They work fast as i walked in on a busy monday and was back on the road in a couple hours. Thank you Victor and the rest of the mad hatter crew.

I needed to have my muffler replaced and had previously had work done at Mad Hatter on my exhaust system. They put the car up for the estimate and did a check of the whole exhaust system to make sure they didn't miss any other problem besides my loose muffler. The technician explained what exactly was broken and what needed to be fixed. He was thorough in his work and prioritized doing quality work. They made the parts in house and covered everything with a protective paint at the end. The work and parts came with a 3-year warranty (it was recommended to hold onto your receipt to make it easier in case you need to use the warranty). The workers were all polite and answered any questions I had. I drive a northern car that has some rust on the underside and I appreciated that they didn't comment about the rust or seemed overly concerned/bothered by it. Most of the mechanic shops I have taken it to have made pessimistic/discouraging comments regarding the rust, but the service technician here was very professional and unbothered by the rust present.

This place deserves ten stars! Not only they have the best prices but they are very professional and friendly. I was shopping around for two catalytic converters for my Nissan and everywhere that I went the price was too high and I wasn't totally convinced since I kept getting different diagnosis and prices. I decided to go to mad hatters being that their are a muffler shop and I'm so glad that I did! They did a great job at a very good price and even installed my new tires. The next day I got stranded at the gas station for something totally different. In a state of panic I called them and Jovan sent Rio who's an incredible mechanic and he took my car to the shop and fixed the gear shifter handle that was lose for free and I was on my way to my appointment within twenty minutes. I'm very grateful to Jovan, Rio and Victor the owner and also to another guy that was there that I didn't get his name. Thank you guys so much! 💖

Mad Hatter Muffler never disappoints with there quality work and customer Satisfaction. I have done 4 vehicles with them over the past 10 years and never had any issues. I wanted to especially write a review because they went up and beyond in helping me achieve the right sound for my 2017 mustang I went back 3 times with 3 different set ups and it cost me less then a 1000 dollars. bolt on exhaust alone cost over 1000.00 for a set up. So if you want the best set up without costing you a arm and a leg Mad Hatter Muffler is the best place in Florid. Thanks again my Exhaust Sounds Awsome!!!!

I bought a catback exhaust system and needed a shop to install it. After a quick Google search I contacted about 6 shops. I went with Mad Hatter because they gave me a fair quote and Jose was so helpful over the phone. Even though I was late to my appointment they still managed to get me in. I met the owner Victor and he was so accommodating and personable. We had a nice talk about the system I went with and he even gave me some referrals for some other work I wanted done to my car. I don't know the name of the mechanic that did the install but he did a perfect job. My exhaust looks and sounds perfect. I felt so comfortable doing business with Mad Hatter which is not always the case when you go to a new mechanic. I highly recommend this shop.

Mad Hatters installed a new muffler onto my 2004 Toyota Tacoma. Install took ~1 hour and came out extremely clean. The gentleman inside was very knowledgeable on how the installation process goes and taught me everything I needed to know! Wow!! This place rocks. The level of craftmanship, the customer service and the price were all 5+ stars. I was on the phone w Jose several times asking questions about different set ups (muffler/resonator delete, straight pipe) and he took the time (every time) to answer those questions and help me get the sound and performance I wanted (I went w a muffler delete and 2.5 inch pipes into 4 inch tips) and WOW!! The owner was very knowledgeable and helpful (Jose was out the day I went). They have made a customer for life and even my mailman, who has the same car is going next week to get his Infiniti done with this same set up. I would save yourself the time and hassle and just go here. Trust me it's worth it. Prices are beyond fair and the work is phenomenal. The BEST exhaust shop in town!!

Mad Hatters is hands down the best place to take your beloved car for anything exhaust related. I had taken my Mustang GT in to have some work done. Not only did they take phenomenal care of my exhaust work and found the perfect sound for my car, they even went the extra mile to ensure I had other parts of my car repaired at their sister shop down the street. I recommend to anyone in the Tampa, Bay area. i had been searching and driving to different locations, non come close to Mad Hatter Muffler And Brakes. Great experience. I had been calling around all morning to find a decent exhaust shop to weld up my new cherry bomb and run the exhaust. My 1995 Ford Ranger is a special one being very "custom" and the body and fuel tank being a problem. Victor and his crew had got me in quickly, and helped me decide on where i should run it and what they thought would look great. Their prices are great, victor helped me out and also let me choose which tip would look good. They do great work, great place, great shop, clean work space you're not stumbling over hoses or slipping on oil, plenty of parking. This place deserves 10 stars.

I am a bit slow to write this review as my service was a few weeks ago, but the service at Mad Hatter was so awesome I had to follow up with this review. The story. I had gone to another shop to get dual exhaust on my truck. My only requests: Don't remove the Cat, and don't make it loud. That shop not only removed my cat (against the law I believe) but it was so loud I could not travel above 55 mph without the drone in the cab of my truck being so bad I could barely think. I then went to Mad Hatter as I saw the reviews were spectacular and I was not disappointed. They quickly corrected the ..wish I could remember the word they used...interesting muffler configuration the other shop had installed, installed a CAT and replaced the noisy mufflers with some rated to a level of my needs. My truck sounds awesome and I could not be happier. Don't make the mistake I did and go somewhere else and have to come here to correct the problems. Come here first and you will not be disappointed.

I Took in my 2017 Camaro for a custom exhaust and I was beyond impressed with everything Mad Hatter offered. The owner is a very honest man who is there to meet all of your needs! I went in planning on spending around 1k-1.5k$ for a new custom exhaust, I was out the door at a little over 400$ with taxes included and that also included new exhaust tips! My car was done within 2 hours and I couldn't be more happy with the way it turned out! I will be taking my car to no other shop but Mad Hatter and I suggest you do the same! Thank you Mad Hatter. They do a great job with exhaust work. Nice welds and 3 year warranty for straight-piped cars. The owner is there to help you anytime. I would say that they can make more money if they offered extras like tips for the exhaust, I seen some but no one even mentioned it to me. Go early because they are always booked.

I installed a trailer hitch on my 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe. When I went to install the aftermarket exhaust it was making contact with the trailer hitch mounting brackets. I called Mad Hatter and explained my situation over the phone. They told me to bring my car to the shop so they can look at it. No appointment needed. I brought my car in around 2:00PM. They quickly found the issue and showed me what needed to be done to make it fit. They were able to complete the work before they closed at 5PM and I was able to drive my car home the same day. I would highly recommend them for exhaust needs.

Had both resonators removed (straight pipes. I declined an x-pipe) on my 2019 m550i. After some negotiation Cesar gave me a decent price and did not try to bait and switch in the end. I was planning to purchase a stock M5 competition exhaust. But now it sounds so great and not obnoxiously loud that I don't have to waste $2000+ They do seem to have a mandrel tube bender as well

I brought my car in to these folks due to it losing power and blowing black smoke. Originally I thought the timing belt was stretched but wasn't sure and took to Midas/ Speedy mufflers in Zephyrhills who quoted me $1063 to repair and agreed to $1000 and was told the car would be ready by the next day. They charged me $192 to tell me it wasn't my belt and wanted permission to keep searching and charging to see what was wrong. I paid the bill and informed them I was displeased as they overcharged me and still had a non running vehicle the guy laughed and said they had saved me money. I self diagnosed the vehicle and found that one of the catalytic converters was clogged but could not identify which. I removed the front 02 sensor and my car regained most of its power and I was able to drive it to Tampa to friends. It was Memorial Day weekend and everything was closed so I decided to try to clean out the system on my own which helped but the issue still persisted. I located Mad Hatters on Waters Ave close to where I was staying and decided to take my car there early this AM. I was attended by Abraham who was personable and professional and informed him of what I suspected the issue was. Within 20-30 mins of the car being put in the bay Charles the technician had confirmed with a pressure check that one of the catalytics ( the one underneath) was clogged and would have to be replaced. Within another hour the job was complete and they also realined my exhaust and reconnected the hangers that hold the exhaust in place. Total time approximately 1hr 15mins Parts , Labor & diagnosis $314. I will definitely be referring my friends and family to these folks they do good work at a fair price and most important they are honest and you can't put a price tag on that! Sincerely, Leo.H

I don't usually type reviews, but huge Kudos have to be given... Needed the brakes done on my girlfriend's Scion TC. Both front, back and also both pads and rotors. I had called quite a few shops for price quotes. When i called Mad Hatter, I spoke with Connor and he gave me a quote that beat all the others. Not by just a few dollars, but by a significant amount. When i showed up, Connor took great care of me and they had the car on the lift within 10 minutes. The shop is professional, clean, courteous, with great service at a great price. They did a great job on the brakes and in a short time. Thank you Connor and the rest of the crew at Mad Hatter. You have a new loyal customer.

Excellent... Excellent! Highly recommend Mad Hatter. I would give them a ten star rating. I went there yesterday as my muffler had problems and was recommended by my usual mechanic. They completed the work in a matter of a couple of hours. No problems getting in with them. Super friendly staff, Iliana was great. I've included photos. You could hear my car before due to the tear at least a block away, the sound was excruciating. Now my car drives like it's brand new. Mad hatter took out the old, torn part and replaced it with an upgrade AND a 3-Year warranty - Nice! They are very affordable, quick, no nonsense business. They do oil changes as well as other repairs. Great place highly recommend. 💖

I dealt with the manager Henry he was just terrific I was sent over by my mechanic I had went to my dealership Hyundai and they wanted to charge me some ridiculous amount of money to replace my muffler and my experience with Mad Hatter was just unbelievable . great place to go any problems with your car, they are very trustworthy, Friendly atmosphere. Henry took me out to the car show me what the problem was and explain everything in detail and what was going to be done. I would recommend them for a place to get your car fixed.

This place was awesome. Literally just got back from getting a custom exhaust job done (muffler delete). I went in at 11:30AM and I am home with the job done at 1:55PM. I have a 2020 civic hatchback sport and it sounds absolutely awesome, and looks great after what they did. Chad asked me what I was looking for, made the recommendation, and it was history from there. Also paid $220 for the job. Anywhere else you go is going to be way worse than that. They also let me keep my old muffler and were courteous enough to ask me that. I highly recommend this place to anyone in need of automotive work. Nick and his Team are great mechanic's but what makes them amazing is how they treat their customers. I have spoken to Nick several times and he always explains everything and answers all my questions regardless. He has also provided me several estimates on my tires and breaks. Top notch service. I came in to Mad Hatter because I had bee referred or knew at least 8 others who have used the company and have had nothing but great experiences, great work done to their cars. Several had custom setups where extra work needed to be done and the guys knew exactly how to take care of it. I visited Victor on a Thursday to try and get my exhaust put on and he was very up front with me telling me he was short handed because of a family emergency with one of his workers. And I appreciated him being straight-forward right off the bat. He made sure to give me his direct line so we could coordinate for the following day. What I appreciated more was not only the quality of the work, but the fact that he personally made it a mission of his to make sure he took care of me, that everything was right, centered and I was happy with the work. Went to check the issues with my exhaustion pipe since it was making rattling noises. It was my first time here. The lady at the shop was super friendly and serviced me right away. she came back saying my muffler needed to be replaced and offered a very competitive price that I was super happy about after having compared with another shop. Got some exhaust work done on my 2013 Volkswagen Passat S. Deleted the mid muffler, replaced with pipe, removed and replaced the rear muffler with a Magnaflow Muffler and exhaust tip I purchased online. Their work is very good, clean, and timely. I must've been their for a reasonable 1.5 hours give or take. Victor took care of pricing and was very customer friendly. Pricing is probably just I little up their but you get what you pay for and what I got was excellent work that's they guarantee for 3 years. I'll eventually be doing some aftermarket brake options and will definitely be coming back to them for that.

I'm sorry that I dont know the guys names but they were fantastic. I went there after being told I would have to wait several days at another location. I told them the problem I was having and they ran several diagnostic procedures on my truck and narrowed it down to a bad Mass Air Flow Sensor. They told me what to do to replace it myself to save me money. The other places were going to Charge me to replace catalytic converter which would have been 800+. Thanks Mad Hatter on Linebaugh. Finding this shop has been a blessing. We took my wife’s car to the Nissan dealership in Wesley chapel. They told us her exhaust was $1000 to repair. We ended up at Mad Hatters and the lady took such good care of us. The repair was $107. A few weeks later I took my car (Dodge Caliber) down to have my A/C looked at. I had no appt, they were busy, but the lady still got my car in. She worked on the price with me because I didn’t have enough for the repair. Having gone through a rough morning, I was very concerned with what to do to fix my car due to the muffler. I came upon Mad Hatter on google and decided to check the place out because of so many good reviews. Upon arriving, I was greeted instantly and they immediately checked my car and said everything would be taken care of. Within about 5 minutes I was told something was wrong with my exhaust and a pipe was the problem and that's what the cause for the loud noise was and so I was told by the lady at the front desk that they would right away fix the problem. Brought my '68 Camaro in for custom muffler work. I was very particular about how I wanted the car to sound and how I wanted the pipes and mufflers placed under the car. Henry took the time to put the car up on the lift and allow me to explain what I wanted. Charles was the technician who actually performed the work, and to say it was a artful masterpiece would be an understatement. Charles exceeded my expectations. His craftsmanship was outstanding and truly reflected the quality of a late 60's show car. Henry and Charles recommended a less expensive muffler than what I originally wanted. I don’t usually write a review but for this business and employees I will. To start off, this is the first exhaust shop I have ever gone to and as long as I live in Tampa area will be the only one I go to. I have had work done by Rios, Charles, And Connor. They all do excellent work but Connor has come in clutch for me numerous times and with a good deal each time. I have no idea how hard it must be to run that shop with how busy they get but Connor is running around answering the phone, on the computer and still in the shop managing to get my car done. At 8 in the morning I know I would be slacking if I was him so I have nothing but absolute praise for him and respect for the way he treats my car. And another thing that made him stand out was when he said “hold on I’m gonna go wash my hands.” When I take my car to Volkswagen they don’t even wash their hands and I have a very close relationship with the mechanics and staff there. When I first called I was told “we’re the best in town and everything we do has a warranty” so right there they set the standard and my expectations really high for themselves and they manage to exceed each and every time.

These guys really know what they're doing when it comes to exhaust. I was weary coming in having been burned by another muffler shop on a 'too good to be true' aka really cheap deal on a cat-back exhaust for my G35. When i got my car back the exhaust system was leaking and hitting the body of the car all over the place, and it sounded terrible. It seemed they just used the cheapest components possible and whoever installed it obviously did not know what they were doing. The manager was so rude when i brought the car back that i decided I would have it re-done somewhere else. Mad Hatter was an entirely different experience. The guys there were very helpful and knowledgeable, after reviewing all of my options i decided to go with a custom built aluminized kit because of the low cost and two year warranty (these guys stand behind their work) , it was only slightly more than the previous shop i had been too. The quality of the welds and bends was outstanding, it looked 100% better than the scrap metal they cut off my car. 3 1/2 years later it's still looking and sounding great. I would recommend these guys to anyone who's looking for a fairly priced exhaust and great customer service. Also alot of ppl don't realize they are a full service shop. I've been having all my vehicles maintenanced and repaired their for years and these guys really go the extra mile for their customers. I wouldn't take them anywhere else.

Best muffler shop in the area no question. While they might be a little more expensive than the other shops, it's worth it. I tried to save some money by going to another shop and within the same week I was at mad hatter to fix the exhaust leaks that the other shop had left. They take their time on your exhaust and make sure everything is alligned the way you want it.

While crossing the Howard Franklin Bridge, I heard this horrible loud grinding sound whenever I braked - which was often, due to the stop and go traffic. I took my car in today, to the Mad Hatter on Waters Ave, and although it was late in the day they were able to accommodate me ( and they weren't irritated about it). Vianca was extremely personable, knowledgeable and professional. Charlie was amazing: friendly and a skilled mechanic. They installed new front brake pads and rotors for an incredibly reasonable price ( a fraction of what I was quoted at other shops). I didn't even have a long wait. I had a terrible grinding sound coming from my tires. Come to find out that the last place I got my brakes replaced only put in half of the pads and just flat out left the other half empty. Naturally the roters were ruined as well. So I came here expecting to sacrifice an arm or first born to get it fixed but no. After 3 years of pondering about where to take my Jag XJS for a rebuilt of exhaust system that is all messed up by my PREVIOUS (will never again touch my car) mechanic, a friend told me to take it down to these fellows. The customer service was off the scale (courteous both on the phone and in person). I observed a great sense of cohesiveness and team work between these guys because for a minute or so they all gather to suggest the best way to run the pipes (X-pipe and a pair of glass pack mufflers) before working on it. The fellow that worked on my exhaust was very passionate about his work and what a great job he did - I had to take like 10 pictures of it. The car sounds great, engine revs more freely, I love it. Although the car suppose to be my weekend car, I could not stop driving it since the exhaust work was done on it. These guys definitely get my vote from that day forth. Thanks.

This place is AWESOME!!! I've had to take our family car (2003 Hyudai Elantra GLS) there for both major and minor repairs and each time, I felt like they dealt with me fairly and honestly. They're family owned, and I loved that . Its refreshing in this day and age of big chains that don't seem to care at all how they treat you. I would recomend them to anyone. Their prices are fair and often times the lowest in town. I have a habit of haggling the very last dime out of the places I do business with. I haven't really had to employ that tactic with Mad Hatter, as their prices are usually already the lowest I can find for repairs and maintenace. They've even offered to install parts that I was able to obtain for a lower cost, rather than go through their suppliers. Honestly, I love these guys. And gals!

I searched everywhere for a Flowmaster 50 Series dual out system for my 2010 Ford F150. The price for just the setup was well over $500. Mad Hatter had it in stock and installed the same day for $495!! And that included custom tipes so I could increase the size from the standard Flowmaster tips of 2" to 2.25". They sound great and John at the front desk was awesome. I even got to see the welds under the car!! Highly recommend!!

Mad hatter is great. As soon as i parked in the lot Victor ran over to my car to talk to me. I brought my 2010 mustang there for a dual exhuast conversion. And the team there knew exactly what to do right away. They had my car on a lift in less than 5 mins. The whole conversion took about 3 and a half hours. The team was very persistent in doing it and wanted it to be done right. My father had a exhuast system put in at mad hatters' and recommended that i go there.
