I was referred to Mike’s Automotive from a top rated commercial engine repair shop here in St Louis. I needed a timing chain repair and the dealer quote was so high it was close to my private party blue book price. I contacted Mike’s Automotive and spoke with Angelo. Angelo gave me a quote that was much less than the dealer and I had them perform the repairs. I was lucky to find an honest auto repair shop and when the repairs were done Angelo was out of town but still called me to let me know my car was repaired. It was great working with Angelo and the techs at Mike’s Automotive. I ended up saving more money because the final cost for the repairs was less than his quote. I am extremely happy and my car rides like a dream. Don’t think twice about it, call Mike’s Automotive and ask to speak with Angelo.

I dropped my car off after they had closed for the day. Used the after hours drop box which was very convenient. They called me early (about 10) the next day to tell me what the problem was and that it was ready to go. I was able to pay over the phone because I couldn't get a ride to pick up my car until after they closed. The whole experience was easy, and inexpensive. And my car is working great again.

I can’t say enough good things about these guys, they were a lifesaver after Valvoline messed up my car from a simple oil change. They tighten the oil filter too tight and messed up the housing. I went to Mike’s to have the housing replaced and what a blessing it was. I could’ve gotten same-day service if I was prepared to drop my car but I wasn’t. However, he had me bring it back the next morning and I picked it up by the end of today I haven’t had a leak or any problems since. HATS OFF TO YOU GUYS, YOUR AWESOME, HAPPY NEW YEAR ❤️

My truck broke down while I was traveling. Mike's was referred to me by a different repair shop and I gave them a call. Angelo was on the phone quickly and asked what I was experiencing. He diagnosed the problem over the phone! Then put me in the fast track for the repair so I could resume my travel. This is extraordinary in today's world of repair shops where most won't even see you for many days if not weeks. Upon my arrival at their shop Angelo confirmed the diagnosis and ordered the needed parts before they closed that night. Great service from a shop that cares about their customer! Highly recommend.

Incredibly they got me in right after the snow hit. They got the work done that same day, which I wasn't expecting. I usually do my own work so I can't compare prices but the parts they used are supposedly the same or better than from the manufacturer so they'll last. I feel confident in their work and can recommend Mike's Automotive. Check out the car art on the wall in the office. It's worth the trip just for that. They did a great job with it

Was referred by other auto shops that couldn’t handle the size of this job - replacing a water pump on a 2015 Explorer. Because of its location in the engine compartment it was quite extensive. Angelo and his team got me in right away and completed this job on time and for $1,000 less than a dealer. I now have a preferred auto shop for all 3 of my families cars. Highly recommend this local business for large and small projects.

I was referred to Mike’s by my local mechanic in 2016 when the engine in my 2005 F150 blew out. I decided to have them rebuild my engine and they provided a warranty that was significantly better than the typical rebuild. It was also obvious that they knew this engine well and understood the root cause of the problem. They included a cam phaser kit in the rebuild to prevent a known issue with the 5.4L V8 from recurring. The engine made it past the warranty years and miles, but the engine light came on and it started running extremely rough this past May (2021). My normal mechanic told me the engine had lost compression and I considered scrapping it. I contacted Angelo at Mike’s to see if I had any options. They checked it out and gave me two scenarios that might be the problem with estimated repair cost for each and the cost to tear it apart and verify. I authorized this work and the final fix was the less expensive of the two options. I picked up my truck yesterday and it’s running great. The repair was not cheap, but compared to the price of used trucks in today’s market, it was definitely the best option. The knowledge, honesty and quality of work by Mike’s is a good combination, particularly when dealing with significant and expensive engine repairs.

Mike's Auto was amazong to work with. - first time having an engine replaced, and I was hesitant, but just got the truck out of the shop and it's going great! Will update in the future to let ya know how it's holding up. :) - also, they went out of their way to have the truck ready for a trip I was going on, even though they were upfront that it wouldn't be ready until later. Quality service and I love how they are straight shooters about the work needing to be done and how they run their business. Definitely would recommend.

I used Mikes Automotive this week to get a new sensor regarding a low oil pressure light popping up on my dash in my car. I called Monday to get my car looked at and was able to get my car looked at on Thursday. Angelo was very nice and they got my car fixed quickly. First of all, I took my truck to a Ford dealer. Big mistake I will never do again. The dealer stated I might as well replace my engine at a cost of $13,000. I decided to get a second opinion. My Friend said he had used Mike’s to rebuild the engine in his 1966 continental and they had done a fantastic job. I went to Mikes and talked to them. We discussed what they thought the problem with my particular engine was. I decided to go with Mikes for the repair after talking it over with them. I got my Truck back yesterday and reset the MPG readout on my truck and am getting four to five mpg more, the miss is gone, they replaced the oil sending unit and just did a great job on my truck. It was exactly the problem they said it was and saved me thousands of dollars. I would recommend Mikes to anyone that needs work done on their vehicle.

Initially I took my vehicle to the dealership and had timing issues with my F-150. They wanted a small fortune to fix it. I called around and finally spoke with Angelo at this repair shop, he was straight forward with me about what it sounds like what repairs would cost and how long it will take. He even took the time to explain the mechanism of the part that failed and why it normally fails, much appreciated. I went forward with their service. They had my vehicle towed from the dealership to their repair shop same day. 3 days after as quoted it was ready to be picked up. Had to pay half upfront due to the amount which was around $2500 which i understand the reason for deposit and still this was HALF of what the cost would have been with the dealer. They were very nice, professional, and courteous. Will definitely use their services again. Thanks so much!!

Mike’s Auto was recommended to me by a friend. They checked out my car and even kept it all night to see how it acted in the morning. My car was acting kind of funny and I just wanted to make sure whether I should even be driving it or not. I really just wanted them to look it over and see if there was anything major. They could’ve taken advantage of me and fixed something that did not need to be fixed but they were honest and said that it did not have to be fixed right away, and that it was fine to keep driving it. They did say that it needed an alignment and recommended me to a nearby place that they trusted. I will be back for sure!

This place is wonderful! Angelo went above and beyond to take care of my car. And it was a bundle of issues! It was a huge project (engine replacement and fixing emissions and safety inspection problems) and he continually worked hard to take care of every issue it had. He did it all! Windshield, tires, spoiler and exhaust system repair - absolutely went above and beyond! Great communication every step of the way to keep me informed. Angelo’s care and professionalism is beyond measure! Highly highly recommend! I want to not only thank “Mike’s Automotive”, but personally recommend them as well! The engine in my 08 Silverado blew and every place that I called in the saint Louis area couldn’t even come close to what “Mike’s Automotive” had to offer! It was going to cost me 6 grand no matter what to replace the engine. So I’m my mind it all boiled down to 1) the best best place that was going to give me the best engine and 2) and most important the best warranty. When I say that I called ever place in saint Louis I mean it! I even called a place in Kansas City! Anyways, every place I called either offered some 3 month 24k warranty or 6 month 24k warranty or no warranty at all. When I called “Mike’s Automotive” I was immediately greeted by Angelo (idk if that’s how you spell his name, sorry Angelo) I explained to him my situation and within minutes I was sold! He explained everything that was going to be replaced on the engine and everything that was going to be swapped. He laid out the pricing for me, helped me get it part of financed and even nocked a little off the top just to help me out. AND THE BEST PART WAS HE OFFERED A 3yr UNLIMITED MILE WARRANTY!!! My vehicle had a breakdown on the freeway, and when i had triple AAA tow it to Mikes Automotive they had the new alternator in the vehicle within 5 hours... i only expected a one week wait since it was a last minute need. The engine was replaced by Mikes automotive around 2014, and since then, not a problem as regular oil changes were maintained. The alternator went out, as it’s one of those things with a 5 year old engine. It’s always triple AAA service at Mikes automotive our family has always experienced at alabama and primm in south city. Good people...great service that is honest.
