Our alternator went out on our vehicle and after stopping at Billion and they wouldn’t help us we went here. They squeezed us in and got it fixed for us. I had my wife and 3 little kids along. This place is top notch! 100% would refer this place to anyone. Very helpful and very friendly. Jeremy Shanks helped us and he was very kind and helpful. A great place!

Close to the best service I have ever had when it comes to mechanic business. I usually handle a lot of me mechanical issues with my vehicles. Now with not being where I use to live and have access to time and tools. I have to take my vehicle to others to work on. I have come to realization that every other business has mistreated my vehicle. Until I brought it to this amazing location. Fully staffed with employees that understand your vehicles problems as well as your problems. I will hands down say my vehicle will go no where else after the dealership fixes what they broke for who knows how many times. God bless these people that are in this establishment!!

There are not enough good things to say about this team and business. I’ve been using them for a few years and have never had a bad experience. The guys are all so friendly and always make sure to check up on me in regards to the services they provide. I know exactly where to take any problem I may have with my vehicle 😊 Edit: Had an appointment yesterday to switch out my headlights. Aaron and Zach were early to pick up my vehicle for the appointment which is awesome! Jeremy kept me in the loop the whole time and made sure I understood exactly what was happening with my car at every point in the process. I love that I am never in the dark and am never treated like I should just blindly trust whatever they're doing. I have never had a bad experience here and 100% recommend.

Parents visiting from out of town for Christmas… Their jeep sprung a big oil leak and they needed to leave the day after Christmas. 12th street auto squeezed them in to repair the oil filter housing and get them ready to roll. Great communication. Really happy they were able to help us out. Would have made the repair ourselves if it wasn’t -40 wind chills. Price was comparable to other shops, but still more than we wanted to spend… would still do business with them due to their practices. Was a good experience.

Very thorough and timely. Rarely do you leave a mechanic feeling like it was money well spent but these people are worth every penny. Very transparent on how they diagnose, you're not left wondering by anymeans. Everything is documented and presented to you, as to give you a total picture at what your vehicle is needing and when. We were in a rough situation and 12th Street Auto took care of us, got us in and turned our lemon into a reliable vehicle. Found our place for sure! Also, can't beat the free shuttle!

We were on the road about 500 miles from home and the next thing I know the car sounded like a tank!!! Stopped in Sioux Falls and the young man at the hotel recommended 12th St. auto service….I called they got me in immediately and shuttled me back to the hotel….next day after analyzing the problem the exhaust needed work and was fixed within hours and at an extremely reasonable price the vehicle was ready!!!! They came back to my hotel to shuttle me to my vehicle and I was back on the road!!!! Big thanks to the company and every single person I encountered during this entire process!!! No one loves to pay to keep their car maintained and Lord knows I’ve had my fair share of issues with my car. My last couple of visits have been with Jeremy. I can’t tell you how kind and compassionate he was. He stayed late to help me out without batting an eye. He answered all of my questions and went out of his way to show me other alternatives with my vehicle issues. His outstanding customer service is something I have not seen in a VERY long time. Overpriced starter instillation 700. Big mistake picking you!!! Asked to fix tire said nothing wrong with just had to get it aired up again. Chgd 100 for something I didn't ask for. Much miscommunication when supposed to be done. Had to go to the bank to pay back visa as you said debit card didn't work nothing wrong with. Everyone I talked to says your way overpriced!!!!!!

i read a lot of good reviews about 12th St. auto and they did not disappoint. from their website they do a lot of services but i had an AC issue. when i called to make an appointment they were upfront about the cost it would be to do a diagnostic testing and called me after looking at my vehicle to tell me how much everything would come out to. i appreciated the emails they sent me showing me the details of the bill from manual labor to how much fluid was. the store itself was in a convenient location and was very very clean for being an auto shop. Tony was the employee that helped me from check in to checkout and he was very helpful and thorough. i would bring my vehicle back here if it ever is having issues again.

Long story short…12th Street Auto Care is the ONLY place I will take my car from now on & so should you!!! I went to 12th Street Auto Care to get a 2nd opinion. I’m sooo glad I did!! I ended up needing a new motor which became a month & a half huge nightmare, which wasn’t any fault of there’s. 12th Street Auto Care swooped in & made my nightmare a dream. They had a loaner vehicle for me to get back & forth to work (55miles/day). Thank you Alex! Then Tony (service advisor) he’s so awesome! He handled everything with the extended warranty company I had. He would call to keep me informed & updated regularly, & he was sooo polite, pleasant, & patient. He returned all of my calls immediately that same day or first thing the next morning. 12th Street Auto Care also puts your work order on a secure site for you to view, approve or decline any maintenance recommendations, send them a text message, see in detail the cost of services & even pay your bill. I was traveling to Washington from Ketucky during 4th of July weekend and began having front left brake problems. Being a holiday, nobody was open in Kansas city or Sioux City, so I eased it up to Sioux Falls and after looking at reviews of reputable service shops I decided to take my car to 12th street auto. Well, on the 5th of July they were super busy with regular customers and a few other breakdown repairs and they still managed to get my car in very fast, diagnose, recommend and repair my care and got me back on the road in a few short hours. Very professional staff, nice facility and waiting area. I highly recommend them. Thank you 12th Street Auto Care Center. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A coupon came in the mail. I have a Honda. I typically go to the local Honda dealership because of this. With prices rising, I thought I should go to a more affordable local shop (I am typically hesitant towards this). First impressions are everything. The coupon brought me, but the customer service will keep me. I came on a Saturday and wasn't sure if I could get in or not. The clerk helping me said he would look and said he hates to tell people, "no." I was able to get in, I count that as lucky. Great customer service and a great job at servicing the car.

They offer great financing options for people like me on a budget, and they work with you to ensure you can pay for what you need to have repaired. Required an inspection of a 1989 Pontiac Trans AM prior to purchasing from the local 805 dealer and paying $$$ shipping costs to transport to California. Service Manager, Josh, was incredibly patient and cooperative through our multiple conversations and emails even accommodating our requests for additional confirmation of the condition of the vehicle. Inspection was scheduled within 24 hours. While there were a couple of unfortunate issues discovered, 12th Street provided us enough information on the situation to feel confident in proceeding in concluding the purchase. Selected them based on the high number of Google/Yelp reviews and it's now a genuine pleasure to add our review to their long list of happy customers.

I didn’t notice the tire problem until we were already leaving town and my tire sensor showed low air in the tire. I checked and saw a split in the sidewall. After checking with several other tire shops who could not find the correct tire I needed, our son recommended 12th Street Auto shop. My vehicle broke down and was towed to the facility. They managed to get me in, even though they were very busy. They diagnosed it as a probable failed fuel pump and I was given a repair estimate. The part was ordered. When they got inside, they found it was not as serious as anticipated, and was only wires that appeared to have been chewed on by mice. The fuel pump was ok, so they would return the part, and I would not be charged for it. The actual cost ended up to be half of what they quoted. I was impressed that they were honest about this, and took care of me, the customer, instead of putting the part in and charging me for it, as some others might have done. The workers were very friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and professional. I sat for a couple of hours in their waiting area, which was comfortable with a TV, flavored coffee machine, water machine, and a vending machine. They even explained which businesses and eating places were within walking distance, if I wanted to leave for awhile. They went the extra mile with their customer care. I will use them again and will recommend them to friends & family.

Heard a major clunking noise and was afraid it was my brakes, but it was a problem with a ball joint. They took care of that problem, got me new tires and did an alignment. What I appreciated most was that they were able to get me in quickly. I'm from Aberdeen, and was in town to be with my brother who was in hospice. They were gracious and quick. My fuel pump went out and it needed to be towed to a shop. I got referred to them and I'm very happy I did. They walked me through getting a tow from the company they use. They were upfront about the cost of diagnosing and then called with the cost of fixing it. Price was right in line with what I've heard it cost people to have their fuel pumps replaced. They coordinated with a local body shop to get the repairs to my suburban completed. 18 year old vehicle looks almost new! Traveling across country on a tight schedule and all the protective rubber and plastic in my undercarriage had come loose and got shredded on my front tire. I came in with no appointment, car got looked at right away, gave me options on what to do, and got me back on the road in about half an hour. I got services twice so far from this shop! I chose this place just because it was close and has good reviews. When I went to a different shop, I didn’t really like their customer service so I didn’t want to go back. But this time I chose the right shop!! They are all friendly and helpful! My tail light had crack on it and had to change bulb. Maybe because it was my very first tome visiting there, they did general check on my car and let me know what I might need to fix/replace in future. It was helpful!! and I went back to the shop a few months later because a deer hit my car.(it wasn’t a bad damage) so I stopped by and a staff took a look and I could ask him how much it would cost to get it fixed. I made an appointment and they did such a great job!!! My passenger door looks like it never got a damage!!! I’m happy with price and the results!!! plus! One example here: my car broke down 5 days after having it in the shop so I had it towed to 12th street. Little did I know I forgot my apartment keys!!! Eventually through mutual connections, the co-owner Shane agreed to meet us 2 hours after they closed on a Saturday so I could get my keys back. And on top of all that, they didn't charge me much at all for the repair as it was something they stated they missed at my appointment 5 days prior. This was my first time there and I was more than impressed with the entire experience. The people I dealt with were all very courteous and professional, and I found their pricing to be very competitive as I actually paid less than what I anticipated it would cost to mount and balance a tire on aftermarket 22" rims...and this was after I had taken my truck to one of the big "Tire Franchises" that told me they didn't have the equipment required to do this without potentially damaging my rim. Seriously? That is the only reason I originally took it to a "specialty tire" store to start with. This will definitely be the first place I go from now on.

So I’ve been using 12th street auto care for all of my repair needs for about 2 years now. Just to go into a light back story I had used to go to a repair shop on Harlem but after spending thousands of dollars on “new” parts I went to get my old vehicle appraised to sell and I learned the parts were not new and the warranty they offered was only for parts not for labor. As a man who knows nothing about cars it was easy to get taken advantage of and I didn’t appreciate how they used my lack of knowledge to their benefit. Fast forward I now exclusively use 12th st. Auto care not only because they do the right thing by the customer, they make me feel like family by always knowing my name when I come in person, they contact me after service to make sure that the service they provided is still going well, they literally talked with my husband 30+minutes after closing just because they were getting to know each other and be friendly. Not only that but they did also give me a ride when my car was out of commission and I needed to go to work!! Very friendly, accepting, caring, kind, and knowledgable staff will ALWAYS have my husband and I’s business!! Way to go!! Keep it up!

12th Street Auto is the single best auto service experience I have ever had. The moment I walked in for my first appointment, I was greeted by friendly staff (Lynn). The staff was on time for my appointment, the lobby and waiting room were clean, and all of the staff was nicely uniformed. The waiting room was thoughtfully provided with multiple USB chargers and the wifi password prominently displayed on the wall. This company clearly thinks about customer experience. At one point, Lynn came back to show me the filters (engine and cabin) and ask if I wanted them replaced. I only came in for an oil change, but my experience had been so overwhelmingly positive that I was immediately inclined to trust them. I assented to the filter change when I would normally have been much more skeptical. Lynn came back to the waiting room a second time to offer me a discount code at checkout, too. During checkout, Lynn patiently explained all of the work performed, the recommended future work, and the cost of everything. I was sent a summary of work and an estimate for further work, too. Lynn even endured my critical questioning with kindness and courtesy. The cherry on top of the whole experience was that when I went out to find my car, the staff had pulled it up to the front door. This was a particularly elegant touch. I am VERY impressed by 12th Street Auto. They have won my future business based on my first experience.

I have used 12th Street Auto twice in the last year (for different reasons) and have been impressed with their customer service, quality of diagnostics/repair, and timely completion of work. I drive a Dodge B3500 camper van (GVWR 9200) so finding a shop that can accept a large vehicle like this is a huge relief. Earlier this year I had a bought a small travel trailer (GVWR 3700) and wanted to use my camper van as the tow vehicle to travel to the west coast. I explained to the shop what I wanted to do and wanted an estimate to get her road ready (and tow ready). Communication was excellent and articulate. After a short discussion, I authorized the repairs needed. It was not cheap, but I can tell you that all the work performed did not fail us during our 13,000 mile journey. No engine overheating. No transmission failure. No steering failure. No brake failure. Up and down mountains, sizzling high temperatures, frigid ice storms, dust storms, and VERY HEAVY California traffic without issue. One of the reason I went with them was the Nationwide Warranty for peace of mind during my travels. I did not use it on my trip but it is an important consideration when on the road and away from Sioux Falls. I worked with Lynn during both of my visits and he is good at what he does. After nine months, Lynn greeted me when I walked in the door remembering my name. The work performed during a recent visit was identical repair work done by another shop in California over two years ago (upper ball joint). 12th St Auto's price was very reasonable and was half the price as it was in California. I did not meet the mechanic AlexF who worked on my van both times (very busy) but I want to thank him as well and hope he is employed there for a very long time. After the work is completed and paid for you are presented with an itemized listing of all parts/labor charged. The only thing I do not like about this work order is there are no part numbers listed. It is vague and generic, and to some customers it may be okay, but I like to know specific part numbers of what was installed. I have been through other shops that provide this information printed on their customer's work order receipts. I would like to see this in the future. Great local shop, fair pricing, and so far no returns. They honor our military veterans with a discount, ask for it. Semper Fi!

I made my appt for an oil change with Tony, and dealt with him the next day at the counter too. A very agreeable guy that did his job well. The oil change was cheap (with local mailer coupon) and the check up was just right, not overboard in depth nor leaving things out. I was also pleased to know their standard oil is Valvoline and standard filter is Wix. The only reason for not giving 5 stars was the other guy at the counter. He took a long phone call and spoke so loudly one couldn’t help but listen to whole thing. He sounded like a used car salesman as he convinced some young, expecting mom, to go buy a new car at wheel city. Even had lines like “the owner is a personal family friend, I’ll make a call for you.” ... and “it is a class 6 felony to sell a car to an unlicensed person.” Wait, what??? Lol!! Wow. Good job Tony!
