Excellent service!! Budd & Co. did an amazing repair and a QUICK repair. They fixed my car the SAME DAY, returned my phone calls promptly, and checked in with my the next day to be sure I was happy and that I had no issues with my car. Seriously, they provided me with the best auto service I've ever had. 100% recommend this shop. 10 STARS on a scale of one to five!

I'm happy with the service that I got here and I recommend them to folks who need their car serviced for anything more serious than an oil / transmission fluid change. I went here after reading the good reviews. They definitely speak for themselves. My car was stolen and later recovered. I asked them to inspect the brakes and to use one of their scan tools to run diagnostics for codes. I appreciated the honesty from Mike when he told me that it probably wouldn't be necessary since the car still drove and handled like the first day I got it. I still got the service done anyways (insurance was covering it). The price estimated to me was the price I paid ($140 / hour before sales tax) Thank you again

I only interacted with Michael at the shop. I called on a Saturday morning when they were not open and Michael called me back at 8 o’clock on Monday morning to set up a time to replace my catalytic converter that was stolen. The appointment was set up quickly for the next day. It turned out that the technician was out sick so Michael let me know it would be another day before it will get fixed. The next day early in the morning the job was done well within the parameters of the estimate. One of the things I like about Budd And Company is that when you go into the office you do get really good personal attention. And, you can see that other people are getting the same! This is the second time I’ve been to Budd And Company and both times I felt like I was treated fairly and honestly.

Our daughters Prius had the catalytic converter stolen. Bud and Co was ready to replace the cat then realized it was a rare model that they have had experience with before, and knew that the part to repair it was super rare and has been on factory back order for half a year or more. He was very polite and honest with our daughter and went out of his way to help. He talked to and got photos to the insurance company knowing that his shop wouldn’t even profit from it. We had a fantastic experience. We highly recommend using this shop for your automotive repair.

My car was in poor condition after a part fell off its place and damaged other surrounding components. I initially went to another shop first that didn’t have any immediate availability, wouldn’t let me leave it until they could look at it in a few days, and told me I may need the whole engine replaced. I ended up calling Budd & Co. and they were able to let me leave my car in their lot until they had a chance to look at it. The cost ended up being a little less than I was quoted and expected, which was good. Mike was awesome with being punctual; whenever he gave me a day that they would fix something I would get a call that day with updates. It took about a week to get all the damaged parts replaced, which was faster than I expected. I enjoyed the work they did on my car, and will be back for any future needs. I definitely recommend their shop for any auto servicing needs.

Brought the car in twice. The first time they had to send me to a dealership because they lacked the diagnostic testing for my car (this is normal I just didn’t know at the time). The dealership then fixed that issue and gave me a laundry list of other things to fix. I kindly declined and instead called up Mike at Budd and Co and read off the list. I trusted him to tell me the truth and he did. 2 of the items were fabricated (I’m a young woman so I’m not surprised someone tried to rip me off) and then he offered to take a look at the two other issues that at least were real things. Turns out my brakes were actually fine (not in the red as the dealership said) but they agreed I could use a new tire. Budd and Co saved me THOUSANDS and were honest from the start. Come here especially if you have little car knowledge and don’t feel like having to phone-a-friend after every conversation with a mechanic to make sure you aren’t being played. You can trust these fellas.

I brought my car in because I was hearing a metallic squeaking noise in the back and it was also due for general maintenance. They had a look and diagnosed the issue right away. Within a day I had my rear brakes replaced and the pricing was very fair. No issues since and I’m very pleased with their work and professionalism.

Over the years I always brought my car to Budd and Co. I lived in the neighborhood and Mike has always been really helpful with breaking down which repairs are critical and which ones are just things to keep an eye on- really honest and transparent. But, we moved. We took our car to another mechanic in our new neighborhood who charged us $200 to tell us our car needed $8000 in repairs. They didn’t identify the root cause, they wouldn’t help us understand what repairs were critical. This car should not need $8000 in repairs! We took the car back to Budd and Co. Mika called and told me that one small issue needed to be addressed. 2 hours and $200 later our car was back on the road. Don’t hesitate. Contact these folks.

I’ve lived in Seattle for many years and always drove by Budd & Co but never used their services. I recently moved into Judkins Park are a few blocks away, when my vehicle had dash lights turn on and my brake pedal became loose. Mike and them got the problem diagnosed in a few hours, turns out there was a cylinder leak and I’d lost all my brake fluid. They adjusted it, quoted me a reasonable price on the repairs and had it ready for me within 24 hours. Everything fixed, prompt response time, plus a follow up to make sure the vehicle was doing OK. These guys are above board in every way, they are going to be my go to from here on out. Do yourself a favor and get your vehicle looked at with these guys. 👌

Budd and Co. are the model of what auto repair shops should be. For example, I brought in my Subaru Outback for a routine oil change. The previous shop had said that the brake pads were basically done, and should be replaced immediately, at the next opportunity. Budd and Co. looked at them, measured the wear, and confirmed that the pads still had plenty of life in them. So they don't try to make a buck by upselling you, but rather by earning your trust. You can be sure that when the pads DO need replacement, I'll go with Budd and Co., and not the shop that just wanted to get the immediate sale. Worried about finding a trustworthy shop? Look no further.

I usually don’t take the time to write the reviews but these guys were awesome. I had taken my car into a chain store and said my steering wheel was shaking when I braked. They said I needed new brakes/rotors and a couple other things. Budd and co gave me a quote that was $300 cheaper! Then day of service when they inspected my vehicle they said it didn’t actually need new brakes/rotors, just a resurfacing of the rotors. So that saved me additional money and it fixed the problem. Josh and Mike were both very pleasant/helpful. Thanks y’all I appreciate it!

Clutch replacement including flywheel. I spent a lot of time talking to and visiting auto shops regarding manual clutch replacement. There is a wide range of cost estimates and do not include flywheel. Some shops are about 10 miles away from me. Not only Budd & Company is about 5 minutes drive from where I live and their cost estimate came in the middle and including flywheel. Distance does matter when my car clutch was troubling and requires urgent attention. I took the car in at the close of the day, and Budd served the car right away the next day and fixed it. The new clutch is very smooth running, gives me confidence to drive the car. I am glad I chose the right auto shop near me. Thank you, Budd.

Neighborhood mechanic that we trust! My partner and I are unfortunately prone to car issues and Budd & Company always hook us up with a great deal and great service. They have done it all on our cars and we are always happy with the work. Mike is the mechanic we often are talking with and he is professional, kind, and always honest with us. It's hard to find a mechanic that you don't question whether you're getting ripped off or not (at least for me). It got to the point with one of our cars where he was upfront and told us it would cost more to fix our car than what it was worth, which we really appreciated. Had both of our vehicles hit by catalytic converter low life thieves. One was taken the other had saw marks but wasn't able align them up and left before giving up. Budd and Co did a great job repairing both exhaust systems and added a welded on section of hardened steel chain for both that spanned beyond the front and rear of the catalytic converter. Super friendly, helpful and finished in the time promised. Excellent work!!!!

Mike went above and beyond to make sure me and my vehicle were taken care of in the best possible way. They found that the issue should be covered under manufacturers warranty and let me know taking it to the dealership would save me the cost of an expensive repair. They did a 36000 mile check of the car plus oil change and tire rotation for about half the price of what a dealer would ask. I drove 5200 miles on a road trip without any problems after the service . You can trust these guys at an unbeatable price.

My experience with Budd was short but positive. I took my car in for some engine trouble. They did the diagnostic and told me all of what was wrong. I needed a new ignition coil and some other parts. Unfortunately, the repairs were too expensive for me to go through with, so I just took the car home. But they were very pleasant and thorough, explaining everything in detail. If not for the price, I would have been happy to let them work on the car.

Solid mechanics recommended to me by a family friend. I “broke up” with my dealership and their free loaner service perk after I met Budd & Co. That says a lot about the acumen Mike, Jordan and team bring to the table; they stepped forward to inform me of a critical safety issue with my SUV that was not brought to my attention by my dealership. No free loaner car can make up for the serious risk of injury to myself, my passengers and my Vizslas that my dealership allowed. Ironically, I bought my SUV specifically to ensure the safety of me, my passengers and my Vizslas (but chiefly my Vizslas). Learning this entire premise was nearly upended through unnecessary exposure to catastrophic consequences during freeway travel was all it took for me to Dear John my dealership forever. I subsequently discovered my dealership was not only aware of the issue, they specifically didn’t road test their last repairs because of it, while failing to warn me when accepting payment for their work. All I received were my keys and instruction for where in their parking lot out back my SUV was awaiting pick up. This has given me every reason I ever needed to move away from corporate interests serving my vehicle and bring my business instead to the small business that Mike and his team work hard every day to represent as the best their industry can be. I've been using Budd for over 10 years and would never willingly use another repair shop. They're hands-down the best shop I've ever experienced anywhere. They've never missed a diagnosis; they always identify the problem correctly the first time, fix it correctly, and it stays fixed. If repairs are expensive, they'll proactively identify ways to reduce costs or to sequence repairs over time. Every time I've gone comparison shopping on a high price, their quote is far lower than the competition. Mike and his crew are awesome. Their customer service was what sold me first. They are now the only place I take my vehicle. I had an issue a few weeks ago which required them to have to have my car longer than I preferred. I could have chosen to find another place that could have completed the work faster but I don’t believe I would have gotten greater service or greater job done on my vehicle. Also, the cost to repair ended up being a few hundred dollars less than the quote and I was so grateful for that. I could say more but I’ll save it for my next visit!!!
