Super grateful for the customer service here. I had a battery that I was pretty sure needed replacing so I asked if they could test it and sure enough, it was old. Connor T was great and helped me choose a new one as well as install it. Considering this was 2 days before Christmas, they were short-staffed, and it was below freezing outside, the whole experience only took about 25 minutes. Awesome service, thanks Connor!!

Easy in and out parking lot. Parking lot is well lit and was clean and has handicap parking right at the front door. I needed to have my check engine light examined and the store was crowded but somebody came right out and checked it and tell me what I needed. I re-entered the store which was crowded with customers and there was a line of customers for deep. The store was well organized and neat and Ultra Clean and the employees were plenty and they were Manning the cash registers so I thought I had a long wait of at least 20 minutes instead it took less than 6 minutes to transact my sale. My cashier was Nick and he was an extremely knowledgeable person about cars and he explained and showed me the computer print out and I was satisfied I was getting the right part. Nick was extremely personable and helpful and I told him jokingly that I was going to let him go home early and enjoy the rest of the day but he said no I'm the manager I can't go home early. This AutoZone is a little bit out of my way but I enjoyed the shopping experience so much I will travel an extra mile or two. The diagnostic showed that I had a coolant sensor or coolant thermostat issue. I bought the coolant sensor since it is only a 5-minute replacement job and if that cures the problem great if not I will go back and purchase a thermostat that would take about 45 minutes to put on. I have not replace the coolant thermostat on my 2005 Ford Focus ZX3. AutoZone has videos that shows you how to do it and the tools that you would need and how long it should take. I'm a lot older than the young man that was in the video I'm thinking it'll take me 45 minutes. If I don't have the correct tools I can borrow them from AutoZone it doesn't cost a penny although you do have to put up a deposit but you get that back. Overall AutoZone is a great experience I would highly recommend anyone in Salt Lake City to drive a little bit extra out of their way if they need to and Shop here first. Not that I should announce my profession. I'm usually viewed as a drug dealer by many the first time they see me. On the contrary I am involved in healthcare. A profession I've continually provided surgical services to many over the years. This post is not about me. It's a post I have to make to an AutoZone employee by the name of Wendy whom I had the pleasure of meeting Saturday August 27, 2022. Grey Nissan maxima. Hopefully she remembers. First and foremost I hope Wendy's supervisor or district manager sees this post. I recommend Wendy for an immediate promotion. Wendy went above and beyond to treat me as a customer that so many in retail and all over America has failed. She was the most helpful and reliable worker in her industry I've ever met. Please give her my sincere thanks to get a defective warranted battery exchanged and installed. Best employee ever. Please take my advice and recognize Wendy as a valuable AutoZone employee. I’m blown away at the helpfulness of this staff. I came in needing an emergency battery swap in my 2019 Volvo. I didn’t realize it at the time, but Volvo’s battery is incredibly tricky to change and is only supposed to be done by a trained Volvo technician, but it was Saturday night. Jesse, the sales manager, offered to help me change it before either of us realized how hard it would be. Even after we realized how much we would have to take apart, he continued to help me get it done, staying an hour after his shift had ended. I won’t be taking this Volvo back here to get a battery, for his and my sake, but I will absolutely be back with all my other automotive needs!

CoViD had its grip on this business as with many others still but pandemics usually hot in 3 waves and can last for 3-4 years so this is good that they are mindful of customers. We were there to have codes read and it was odd that employees passed the reader to us (without gloves) and I watched as they took it back and exchanged other items as well as took turns on a keyboard so the employee education on cross contaminating is a bit thin. It isn't reinforced or taught so I wasn't surprised. I've not been concerned for myself, but take great interest in seeing how individuals and business interpret rules and mandates. As for service, these kids do fairly well. They were quick and they were also in and out of the building helping a couple of customer. Overall, average customer care in the absence of personable interaction, knowledgeable responses, and store cleanliness (4/5)

I just went there to get a new battery. I as soon as we entered they were greeting us. It was smooth transition. I gave him the car info and he gave me the option and prices for my car. I also bought wrench. Tips: 1- if you want to save time check the website first. 2-join there reward program. 3- sometime you can get discount if you buy it online if you’re not buying battery better getting it online. 4- bring your old battery with you, and they will buy it.

I have been to the 900 S. State location many times and have always had good experiences. Especially my last trip. Yesterday afternoon (September 16th) they were very busy and still managed to help me purchase and install a new battery very quickly and efficiently. All the staff was very helpful and especially the man that helped with my battery. I don’t know his name(maybe John-an older man with gray hair)?

Went in to double check a battery reading I got during a service at the shop I use. Jesse P not only ran me through a test but also took the time to help me clean some corrosion off the battery cable. I've always shopped here due to the location, but wanted to take the time to say thanks for taking the extra time to help me. Will be back for sure.

I went to your store on 28th of April, a half hour before closing and it was really busy. There were only 2 attendants working, but these two were phenomenal. They were working quickly yet efficiently with each customer. Taking the time to make sure each customer was taken care of. They were amazing. I bought the wrong headlight and had to come back in to have them help me find the right one. They were amazing and deserve to be recognized for the awesome jobs that they do

The customer service I received yesterday was exceptional! (April 4th around 6:30pm @ 939 S. State St.) I stopped in to get a headlight bulb and was warmly greeted as well as checked on twice within a short period of time by Mike ( I believe his last name is Sebastian) He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He even installed the bulb for me with ease and made sure I was safe to get back on the road. Can't say enough about Mike. You guys are fortunate to have him at your store. Definitely made my day!

Stopped in on a whim to buy a new car battery and couldn't be happier with the service. Rich W. came out and ran several tests to make sure that the problem was actually with the battery. Once that was confirmed, he gave me various options and explained the pros/cons of each battery as they differed greatly in price. I purchased the battery that I thought best suited my needs and he then took it to the parking lot and installed it for me. It was a customer service experience from days gone by and I will certainly be returning should the need arise.

This is hands down the best auto parts store I have ever been to. I rarely encounter so such helpful staff in any store let alone an auto parts store. I just do basic car maintenance like battery and oil changes but when I go in I am immediately offered help finding everything I need, which is greatly appreciated because I super intimidated by all the different oil filters.

I've been here twice in the last two weeks. Both times I have found their staff to be helpful. We were having battery problems with our truck and they were able to both test it and fully charge it for us free of charge. The only reason I give them 4 instead of 5 stars is because when I called in to see if my battery was charged I was kept on hold for over 20 minutes just to see if battery was charged. It would have been easy for them to just take a minute to run in the back and check on it or ask us to call back at a later time.

The people here are pretty cool and very helpful. I had bought a car battery here last year and it died in the cold this month. However, after jump-starting my car, I took it to the AutoZone for checking as I still have warranty on the battery. They checked and told the battery is fine, just needed to be charged. They cleaned up the battery and charged it fully and put it back in the car. I tried giving a tip but they refused. I might not refer the car battery from here but the service here was nice.

I was very impressed with the staff at the Salt Lake City State Street location. The two staff members that helped me, James and Rich, were so helpful. I accidentally locked myself out of my car and had to nurse my baby and Rich let me into the classroom so I had a private place to nurse. You would think all chain auto parts stores would be pretty much the same... but in my experience, this particular AutoZone stands out. The people there are quite helpful... willing to loan you a tool, or even to come out and lend a hand on occasion. They even made a spot-on recommendation to a nearby full service shop for our Subaru.

My wife was stuck in Salt Lake. I was 400 miles away. Her car started to "stall out, and the check engine light started flashing. I instructed her to go to Auto Zone. The store clerk read her code, and determined that cylinder 1 was misfiring.
