My son's favorite place. Nice staff, good organization of inventory and a useful place to have available. I can't help thinking about all the people whose lives have ended in tragedy here though.

Staff is welcoming and helpful. A myriad of clientele that are cordial. In my experience this is a nicely organized layout. Individual parts may not be inventoried but the vehicles are, sign in is required with admission fee for the yard. Fortunately (or unfortunately) the vehicle variety provides the possibility of easily locating a needed part. Thanks Pick-n-Pull!

My daughter and I had such a wonderful first time “field trip” to pick-n-pull S.E. (I intended to show my 19yo you don’t have to pay full price for an item). I was thrilled being able to look directly at the car site online first, and find there were two cars in the year range we needed for a taillight. The staff in front helped us from the start, gave us a map, directed us to where we wanted to go & sent us on our merry way to find the two cars. They were pretty easy to find, tho the first one was a bust, the second had what we wanted. A wonderful fellow, there for the same reason on another type of car, came over and helped us (basically did all the dismantling and pulling) with the taillight. I offered to pay him, but he had no part of that. As we continued back to checkout, a fellow asked if we’d like him to take a picture of us- he must have been able to tell how elated we were, but we declined. Upon checkout, the fellow gave us a discount, since it was our first time there and visibly excited with our treasure. It was all a fabulous experience!

Wow if I could give this place more stars I totally would ! Let me start off by saying Jason the manager was AMAZING! He really went above and beyond to help me. My passenger side window was smashed and broken into and I don’t have much $ so it was essential for me to get my part at pick and pull because they’re cheaper. I had no tools and no knowledge of cars to even get the part off the vehicle to use it. I asked the manager Jason if he could possibly help me take off the part because I have no idea what I’m doing. They were slammed busy so he couldn’t pull himself away to help me but he made a huge effort and he asked one of his friends doug to help me and see what they could do for me. Let me just say Jason and Doug are heaven sent. Doug literally took the part off the car for me and actually put it on my vehicle for me. I was so thankful for the both of them. Jason didn’t have to ask his friend to help me and Doug didn’t have to say yes to helping me but they both helped me SO SO much. They made my terrible day much much better. Thank you guys so much! I will be coming back here and referring EVERYONE to this pick and pull!

Pick & pull Portland Oregon is s always a pleasure to find used parts. Vehicles are exchanged every 30 days so there's always fresh meat on the vehicles.Jason the manager is doing a great job. I was a manager of a recycling yard in Northern CA And would recommend P&P to any DIY Mechanics.My 2003 F-350 was a rolled over mess. I was able to find all parts @ P@P compete my truck. Highly recommended!! Jason went completely above and beyond to help us get a few parts for our 20+ yr old Subaru. They were the only yard within 250 mins to have one. Because of Jason’s fantastic service, we made the 6 hr round trip with our sick infant. We got the parts and finally able to repair the damage done by our rescue dog. Thank you, Jason!!

I’ve been here a number of times over the years looking for parts for various cars I’ve had. It’s an DIY auto wrecking yard. If you are good with tools and you know what you are doing and what you are looking for then it’s a great place to find your part. The only real downside is sometimes you do get people who will intentionally break a part and that does make things a bit frustrating especially if it’s the only model in the yard. The only way to know if they have a particular part is to go in to the yard and search yourself. They have hundreds of cars with thousands of parts in each one. Impossible to keep an accurate inventory of each one. I actually prefer these types of wrecking yards over the ones where they get the part for you. Sometimes I find something that I may not have even been intending to get like recently I wasn’t able to get what I wanted but I did get a different color trim piece that I may swap out on my car. Plus I do tend to know the “sister car” of mine that’s a different make and model but underneath it’s all on the same platform so if they happen to have that car in the yard it may have the part I need. But I totally understand not everyone knows about cars that way. Customer service is iffy and yes they can be rude at times.

They went above and beyond what was expected . We were not prepared for getting a hood for the car all we had was crescent wrench we got one up to the front so we couldn't get the hinges no $ we had a spare door in the trunk so we traded that for them then we didn't put the hood on right so we thought we got the wrong one so went back the next day that's when they stepped up and helped us the good looking Luis Medina helped us out put the hood on right thank you and Luke atom lent us the tools both very nice and helpful the manager was good as well it was a good experience

This is probably my favorite pick n pull to go to. Great selection of cars all the time. Plus the staff is extremely awesome and helpful. Luis is always super friendly and helps me find what I need. His positive attitude helps finding my parts a lot less stressful.

Great prices, but you have to be willing to get it yourself and hope that what you are looking for isn't damaged or already taken. Just bought an electrical part and it works great even though it was obviously rained on for who knows how long :) Thank you for being there! I saved at least $100!

I came there to look for a window for the work van. They only had one in the line and it didn't have the window I needed but the guy behind the counter let me go out and look for free do I didn't waste 2 bucks for nothing. Good customer service as it's normally 2 bucks to enter the yard.

Found most of the parts I needed. My only issue was the prices shown on their website were wrong. My headlight assemblies cost $25.99 each instead of $14.99 or $19.99. I also saw nothing about environmental charges either which added another $8.50 to my purchase. So I'd recommend calling or asking for prices before you pull the parts.

Employees act like everyone is dumb. Maybe the case but sheesh. Its the best place for what you go for, which is easy without competition. Very rude at end of time allowed in yard. Don't treat me like I dont know what time you close and stop me 30 minutes before closing saying I can't go in yard. Those people that aren't leaving on time should be noted in the system and restricted. I can follow guidelines and time constraints and manage my time well enough to not be stopped from utilizing a business 30-45 minutes before they say they close.

We showed up less than an hour before the place closed. We were able to get in get a replacement door. Some other necessary items and with time to spare somehow. The people were nice and for a upullit place it was fairly well organized and labeled. Even though it was pretty busy everything seemed to run pretty smooth.

I had to sell my car and came to this place, I was helped by Corey and he was outstanding. I didn’t have all my documents and I was very lost on the process. Corey was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with making sure I had a checklist to not waste my time on multiple visits, my matter was taking some time and I had to step away from the desk on my phone and he continued helping triage customer matters as they came in and out yet gave his full attention back to the matter of my vehicle when I was ready to proceed. I was helped with knowing the process and what I needed, and he tracked down an answer to a difficult question for me, on top of being very kind and understanding about it. It was a tough moment and a tough situation for me but the assistance and answers I got for my situation made it 5 star.

This place is a great place to get parts how much discount price although they get you on some of the stuff that you think would be cheaper but they got to make a buck too. But if you know what you want and you know how to get it off definitely save a few bucks

Well they have a great selection to choose from but they keep on raising there prices at least twice a year they bump up there prices but at least they give you a 30 day return policy incase the part you pulled doesn't work or fit ,ECT. Which is nice

They require face coverings while inside which I totally understand and agree with but there is a lot going on on their front door and the face coverings sign that they have needs to be a lot more prominent and simpler. It's easy to miss. Great place to find whatever part you are looking for.

Called in to ask if they had any Crown Victoria's. Guy was very dismissive and did not want to help at all. Website is down, so I had to call before making the drive. I've had pleasant experiences here, but this guy who answered the phone was not one of them. Told me they don't keep track of what goes in and what goes out, even though I've spoken to other staff members who are more knowledgeable.

I have only been once, it's like being in a car candy shop! I called ahead to see if they had and bmw 740i BMWs and the woman in customer service I spoke to said they did not have any for a 50 mile radius, my uncle and I still went in and found at least two within 15 min of walking around. Just thought that was strange. Other than that it was a good experience.

Could have been more diligent at getting customers in the door. But generally the employees seem to be trying otherwise. I would recommend pick n pull. Just keep an eye on your stuff. Sombich took my snips off the front of a car. Carts are usually available.

Favorite place to go when in need of simple parts to replace or needed for repair. Staff are always quick and courteous, friendly and knowledgeable, very helpful when it comes to bits of info sought out or inquires. Would help highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone of all mechanical levels entry or professional. Great place to find what you need and if they don't have it then you can always find it at another location that they would be willing to help you locate or contact. Overall it's like a grown mans candy store with all the different kinds one could think of. Minus the cavities 😬

Quick-in, Quick-out. Their website allows you to check current inventory and when you check in, it's just 2 bucks and you get a receipt with the locations of the cars you want to visit right on it. Cool. Prices are reasonable. The hand carts they provide are a bit heavy, but better than not having one. Check-in and out was easy and quick-no waiting. Parking is tight which was my only real for trimming this review back to 4-stars. Will be back I'm sure as the needs arise.

This is such a useful service. They have lots of cars, and the staff is helpful. Went there to look for a mechanical window mechanism; it was really easy to find my car (I looked online first). The lot was as organized as one could hope for, and the car I was working with wasn't too torn up. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

I found a brand spanking new 189.00 power steering pump for my Lexus in original box in a trunk and paid less than 35$ . Great find don't happen all the time but you never know what you'll find there..also in their "second hand " store where most things are a buck I found three large 8$ cans of off mosquito repellent and paid 3 bucks. .

The staff at this location are fantastic, and the yard is very well kept and easy to access. Probably my best Pick-n-Pull experience to date. A friend and I drove 3.5 hours and across a state line each way to get to this location, as they had a car with a rare engine that we needed. If I didn't live in another state, I would prefer to do business with this location over the two that are near my home. The next time I need something hard to find that's worth spending 7 hours driving for to save hundreds, or in this case thousands of dollars on, I'll definitely be checking their inventory!

Basic place that serves it's purpose. People easy to get along with. You are there to do work yourself. There is decent people there, but don't expect miracles here, they are very busy. Do your work ahead of time, and check the website for your specific car. They have a whole network, they can find the part if given a chance. Great place for finding used tires.

Had a fun first experience. Not much to say about it. Bring some tools for the part you think you're going to get. I didn't get what I wanted but my girl and I had a good time checking things out. Bring a tablet or phone so you can look up where the cars are at in real time. Helps a lot. I got a sweet Blazer ticket from '88 in a random van. Cool finds.

Going to the junk yard is always one of my favorite things to do. The staff is usually friendly but I've on occasion felt like they could brush up on politeness and costumer service etiquette. I understand there is a lot of theft and underhanded behavior by some people but they tend to treat everyone as such. So that's my biggest complaint . But there's usually a nice selection of vehicles with new ones coming in regularly .

Pretty nice wrecking yard for has biggest it is nice cars for sale reasonable price decent price on snow tires street tires $2 at the door entrance fee price board doesn't match the price that they give you when you check out needs fixed prices for parts pretty spendy only a few dollars off from brand new on some of the parts but other than that pretty convenient to get to all cars plenty of room to work on them overall not a bad place to get used parts too bad they didn't have more Toyota Camrys 129 cars and I found one...

Excellent place to get hard to find parts at exceptionally great prices. Picked up a $350 part for $20. Staff friendly and extremely helpful. Lot is organized well and process to find and pay for your parts is a breeze. I will definitely return for my used part needs!

It’s pretty organized for a scrap yard, but expect junk on the ground scattered around thanks to inconsiderate customers. Prices are reasonable. Don’t expect 17” to 18” used tires either because they’re apparently a hot commodity. Staff was friendly and helpful. Don’t forget to bring your tools!

I've been to a lot of DIY salvage yards. This one is large and prices are fair. Half the yard is just labeled "import" and it's a random mix of European & Asian cars, so plan to do some hunting. Mostly mid-90's to mid-00's. Almost no classic cars, when they show up they are picked clean immediately. Website supposedly shows inventory but today I specifically bought a tool to pull a part and when I got there the vehicle was gone even though the site said they had it. Similarly their internal system said they only had one of a particular model but I found two others in the lot. End of the day if you're here you're either desperate or a hobbyist and you'll probably have an okay time and go home with something you can make work for the price. Some of the employees are nice and some are real jerks, but realistically nobody comes here for camaraderie.

The staff is a bit lacking, but the cars are plenty and the prices are fair. I was just there with a friend to get a window for his VW. It would have been over $200 to get it replaced at a shop. We walked out with a half hour of our time gone and a whopping $40 for the glass.

This place is definitely worth checking out if you don't want to buy retail but if you don't know how to disassemble cars and trucks then hopefully you have a friend or a neighbor or co-worker you can bring with you at little to no charge and maybe they can help you or do it for you because you have to take the piece of whatever you want out of a vehicle by yourself then please don't do anything to help because they don't have enough staff for that. Sometimes can be overpriced I would ask about pricing before pulling something out of a car or truck first. Otherwise you might waste a bunch of time for something you don't want to buy cuz it's too expensive

The person I spoke with on the phone checked to see if the vehicle I was asking about was still in the lot. Saved me a trip because they had just got rid of that row of vehicles. The website needs to be updated quicker, especially since its not the employees job to go all the way out in the lot to check if the vehicle is still there.

I love pick an pull but the parking lot is full of meth heads trying to steal stuff from your car as your in pick an pull. I see stolen hondas in the parking lot with spin out meth head. The staff at pick an pull dose not do any thing about it. Its quite sad.

This is a typical do-it-yourself or u-pull-it style auto salvage yard. There is an entry fee of $2 per person to get into the yard and they accept cash or card as payment. Before you go out into the yard, you can take a moment at the counter to speak with one of the employees about what it is that you came in for or specifically what part is is that you need. Give them the make, model and year of your vehicle as well as the part that you need and they will give you a printout listing all of the vehicles in the yard that are compatible with your car and they also list where those vehicles are located within the yard. With your printout in hand, you head out into the yard to retrieve your parts. There is no guarantee that the part you need will be there as someone else might have beaten you to it and already pulled it. They have a website that has a searchable inventory or vehicles and they update their inventory frequently so you can check to see when new vehicles are added. The website also lists the prices for any part you might find and pull. One last thing, you must bring your own tools. They do not loan or rent out tools.

Before I even payed or walked in the yard they asked what part I was looking for so I told them well the guy Looked it up and Tells me THAT they didn't even have the Car I was looking for, HE SAVED ME MONEY, TIME, AND MONEY AGAIN LOL. The car yard is kept on good order. There's enough room between the front of the cars to get a frame in to pull an engine. They have the frames there to use. Lots of vehicles and pick-ups with good body panels and glass if that's what you need. Worth a call to see if they can help you with what you're looking for. Try the Vancouver location too.

I've been going to their south, north, & Vancouver locations for several years. Website is helpful/check inventory function works great. No problem w/staff, but the staff @ Portland north are very helpful & cool. Prices are fair & you shouldn't expect to find what you need every time as it is what it is, a junk yard. I own a 3rd & 4th gen camaro & have done very well finding needed parts and/or treasures. This is a great place to do business with

Great place place to fix it you're self. If you have the time. Make sure to have the model, year and tools before stepping around. They give you a map close the the make and model. Friendly Staff...easy in, easy out. It's really fun tearing cars apart!!! whoohoo!!

The place to go for a part for your older car. I drive a '98 Caravan and they have twenty, '96 -'02. Liability waiver to enter ($2 admission), bring your own tools and hand cleaner: public restroom is a porta-john. Useful for the person who knows what they want but don't expect service. That's not what they do.

Parts for your car ten years old and older. Holidays they have a half-price sale. Check their inventory by typing in Pick n Pull South check inventory, choose make, then model and it will show you if the car you want is on the yard and what row. You must bring your own tools, they don't pull parts, they do however have engine hoists.

Love Pick-,n-Pull! Strange vibes though. It's a car graveyard. With lots of vehicles there having been in bad accidents, it can get to feeling dark, somher and even sad. I think I came in touch with a few spirits while taking out a transmission. But exactly as they advertise it to be! Friendly staff as well.

It's actually pretty clean where they have all the cars. They said they had 3 of the type of car i needed parts off of but when i got there and looked around a little they had 7! LoL. There system needs a little updating im pretty sure! LoL. They have carts available for you to haul parts and your tools which is nice except the pretty big hill you have to climb to leave. So if you're needing anything heavy or awkward, bring help!

I have been to this pick and pull several times. They seem to be fair. I was going to take my kids, they dont let kids in. I get the risks. I remember going to the pick and pull with my dad as a kid. It was a great experience for me. I hope the kids can come in when they are bigger.

Literally the best experience I have ever had at a Pick-n-Pull! Thats saying alot for a 53yr old guy that has to have an aircooled VW in his driveway at all times! Very greatful Carmen picked their area when she decided to be difficult.

If they have the parts I need to pull, then I do enjoy coming. The only thing I don't like is that sometimes they mistake a part for another part and try to over charge you. I've been over charged and under charged. It's win loose sometimes.

I've been happy with the prices as well, considering what a dealer would charge, and that I'm typically looking for something that isn't available at auto parts stores. If you prefer grumpy and unhelpful and (relatively) expensive, go to any wrecking yard in Portland where they don't allow you in the yard...
