My hood was pretty worn out and it showed the age of my car and was ready for a redo. I took it on down to Maaco on Ross ave and they got the job done right!!!! Not only did I get my car back in just 1 1/2 days the price was UNBEATABLE!!! Super friendly and took very good care of me. I will be coming back next time I need a quality service done :)

Lu’s shop does incredible work for the price, and you aren’t going to find a better value anywhere! The actual work ended up taking an extra week than expected, but the end product ended up being phenomenal. I had some small rust spots that they were able to cover up. The old clear coat was entirely gone with a large chunk of paint missing. Afterward, There ended up being a few spots that weren’t absolutely perfect and a little paint in some spots it shouldn’t be (see photos), and they spray painted my trim pieces and some of that is starting to come off, but I didn’t expect it to stay long term anyways, and it wasn’t a service they normally do but they did it for me anyways. The workers at the shop are the most friendly people I’ve ever met at a store and you can tell that Lu absolutely loves what he does and really cares about his customers. I got the cheapest paint option they had, and the estimate was accurate and ended up being what I paid. Getting the paint done made my junker look brand new and I’ve been getting compliments on it left and right from people amazed at the condition it’s in. I am 100% satisfied with the end result and would highly recommend them!

My first review to Maaco for the Ross St. location was honest and critical. After paying $12,000.00 ( SPECIAL PAINT, AND LARGE VAN ) I was upset. The van was dirty inside and out when I got it back. And there are 3 smudge marks within a couple of inches of each orher on the hood that occured when the paint was wet, there is also a one inch scratch on the front bumper that is new and was freshly painted. Despite these things I've decided my rating is to be 4 STARS for perfect body work. The 23 year old van, had allot of dents. The van was and is not perfect. And those other issues did not completely ruin the overall outcome. WELL, Lew did offer to redo those areas. I had to find peace of mind and the work done is a huge improvement. Pedestrians, neighbors, all say the van looks great. I even see people drive close up in parking lots for a closer look. My apoligies to Lew and his team. Lew was polite and accomodating during this job.

I visited because my car had scratches and broken rear light. Maaco gave us options that fit our situation and explained them in detail. We went back after comparing prices, and received prompt and quality service at a reasonable price. This is my second visit after receiving service from them several years ago, and I am very satisfied. Maaco are experts in the autobody field. I highly recommend this place.

11/10 WOULD RECOMMEND. I worked with Lew to restore my 1988 Pontiac Firebird Formula 350. It turned out better than I could have hoped for. I had a budget so I decided to cut some costs, we sanded down certain parts to bare metal and replaced some body parts. Wanted it to look brand new and the first time I stopped for gas someone thought it was actually new! Most other body shops wanted an arm and a leg and wouldn't work with me on affordability at all. This shop was different. I get great looks in this car that was once abandoned in a tow yard. Lew helped me figure out how to tackle this project within my budget like no other shop would. You always hear horror stories from Maaco for affordable paint jobs but every Maaco is different and Lew at his shop is a diamond in the rough. If anything looks off to you he'll figure it out until you're a satisfied customer. Great to work with and sent me updates all along the way. I included the drastic before and after here! WOW.

They did a great job on my car. I got two dents fixed as well as getting it painted. The paint looks great, inside and out, as if it came off the factory line that way. The dented areas now look perfect. I get compliments on the color pretty regularly. The staff was helpful and friendly. The cost for everything (paint & repair) was the same as the estimate I got somewhere else (in Beaverton) just for the dent repairs alone. I definitely recommend this place and will go there again for any future dent repairs or paint jobs.

Took my 1994 Mazda B3000 in because the clear coat from about an 8 years ago paint job was peeling badly and for me it makes more sense to fix up my 1994 Mazda B3000 as it's mechanically sound. While I did have my issues with the completed work I still highly recommend going here. I'm a picky person and want things a certain way. I think had I taken more time to go over the completed work with Lew he would have made it right, however I live 50 miles away so the issues I found I'm fixing myself.

Lou helped me from start to finish. All other places were not even willing to start fixing my car after an attempted brake in. Lou went above and beyond to find the part needed to fix my window. It did take longer then they said but thats the world we live in with shipping and labor. They could have had better communication about that but I'm still happy with them.

I had them completely repaint and retrim my 2007 Dodge RAM. Using factory paint an clearcoat it came out absolutely like a brand new vehicle. There were a few little things to take care of and they were absolutely professional and handled them in no time. I had a hard time finding a shop that would do a complete repaint, but no need to look further; this is very professional work!

We have a 2008 Honda Odyssey that we have had since new. It having always been parked outside, coupled with our insufficient washing/detailing the last few years due to busyness, resulted in its paint suffering to a point at which clear coat wore off and peeling started. Not fully knowing what to expect, we took our vehicle to Maaco where we were met by Lew (owner) and Kat. Both were (are) super professional, and spent considerable time going over options with us. Ultimately, we decided to have the entire vehicle repainted, and at that to go the more 'labor-intensive and costly route' of having all trim (lights, bumper covers, roof racks, side mirrors, door handles, etc.) removed in the process as opposed to having them masked and painted around. This meant we were able to get new paint behind things not just up to the edges of things. Lew, Kat and their team did an amazing job! When all said and done we ended up with paint that essentially looks factory new. Because the job was so big and intensive (it is a minivan after all) there were a few things for which we had to seek follow up. A couple trim clips, a couple pieces on the roof rails, etc. Lew and Kat were gracious and swift addressing our follow-up items/concerns and took time and care to make sure we were truly happy. Lew and one of his technicians even helped snap together a piece of loose trim for us on another vehicle of ours that we had onsite when we were picking up the minivan--and he did this for free. I highly recommend this Maaco! Lew, Kat and team are great and I believe will treat anyone with patience and respect.

You are in good hands if you choose this Maaco - amazing customer service, timely and trustworthy, and fair pricing. Lew is amazing! Great customer service, personable and friendly, understanding and knowledgeable, true to his word, tries to do right by you, all with a smile on his face - just a really nice guy and joy to work with. I needed to get some repair done and the entire process was very smooth - Lew understood the situation, provided me with options, I never felt pressured, called when he said he would, he and his crew finished up the repair in less than 2 days (vs 4-5 days expected which was still much faster than other places). I picked up the car and noticed the windshield was cracked and Lew happily got it fixed the very next day within a couple of hours - quicker than he promised. I judge the customer service by the way customers are treated when things go wrong, and Lew exceeded all expectations and set a new example. Thank you, Lew!

I can’t say enough good things about this place!! I came in to get the hood of my car repainted, after needing to fix large pain chips on the hood of my car. Not only was it the best price by far I could find, the staff there was INCREDIBLY kind, professional, and shared tips and tricks to help keep my car in the best shape possible moving forward. Usually I expect delays in getting my car back when getting any type of repair, due to past experiences at other places, but at this location not only did I know my car would be taken care of, but I also got word my paint job was done early AND when I picked my car up, they had cleaned the outside of my car just because! My car looks beautiful and it was an overall extremely positive experience, would suggest coming here to anyone!! I can’t thank Lew and his staff enough for their great work and service!!

I would definitely recommend this place. Lew the owner took great care of me from the start. He was very friendly and made the whole process super easy. Brian was great too! I needed a minor paint scrape fixed on the rear bumper of my brand new jeep. He told me the job would take 2-3 days, and I got it back the same day I dropped it off, and they made it look like the scrape never happened. By doing the job so quick, I saved money on the rental car I had as well. Hopefully there won't be a next time, but if so, I will definitely go back to Maaco. Job well done!

Lew and his daughter McKenzie were extremely helpful, and the rest of the staff there were super friendly and gave us a great price on a decent bit of work. I had needed the car for work and was surprised at the speed in which they were able to complete the job. The speed however, did not effect the outcome, as the car came out looking way beyond my expectations. Overall, I would highly recommend this Maaco to anyone looking for a dent repair or paint!

As a lot of previous reviews state, Lew's customer service and detailed explanation of everything was incredible. The estimate was fair, and once I got the go ahead from my insurance, the repair only took two days. I will say that my car was a bit dusty on the inside and smelled strongly of paint, but that was to be expected. A simple interior cleaning at a local car wash helped with the dust, and the smell went away after a few days of driving around with the windows down. Car is like new, and the work done was superb. I will definitely be recommending this place to friends and family!

They go the extra mile...literally! I had a great experience at Maaco Collision Repair on N. Ross Ave. The guys are very competent, friendly and you can't beat the price. The work is high quality and when the job took a little longer than expected, they dropped my van off at my house. I really liked that they would paint just a part of your vehicle, which worked out great for me because I did not want my whole car painted, just a few places (roof and hood). I brought my Mitsubishi into the Portland Maaco and worked with Lew. I got a paint job and some body work done and it looked excellent and the price wasn't bad either. About a week after I got my car back it got by another driver, so I took it back to Lew and he gave me a great deal. I would highly recommend going here for bodywork and especially if you need a new paint job. The customer service is great and Lew is awesome with returning customers! The only thing I would note is that, because they're so busy, you should at least expect to wait awhile before he can see you right away. But believe me the wait is worth it! I love this place. I have three other vehicles and I plan to eventually get them all worked on at this shop at some point.

We took our daughter’s car to get the bumper replaced and painted at this Ross Avenue Maaco. Lew (the owner) and Jorge are not only extremely customer-service oriented, but they really care about what they’re doing and about doing quality work. Our experience couldn’t have been better. Jorge was the reason I went to this location. He was a student in my class at Clark College and had participated frequently, adding to class discussions regarding his time at Maaco. Lew and his team at Maaco did a spectacular repair and partial paint job on my 16 year old BMW. Thanks to Lou I got a repair that makes my car look like new at a price I could afford. Though the damage was minor the car risked being “totaled” by insurance, but I wanted to keep it. Lew took time to understand my situation, inspect the damage and explain it to me, and suggested a repair plan to meet my budget. Lew and his crew went ABOVE and BEYOND with the budget-oriented paint job for our food truck. We didn't know to expect and it was perfect! It looks so dang spiffy! Our 1986 Chevy was rusty and oxidized. They did a fantastic job on sanding, painting, and all in a timely fashion. Lew even gave us advice on how to properly paint the other oxidized parts of truck like the rims and exhaust pipe. I highly recommend these guys. Spoke with Lew (sorry if misspelled) about doing a bunch of work on my Crown Victoria. I regularly take it off roading, so it has dents, scratches, more dents, etc. I wanted to repaint it from white to a battleship-grey color. He helped me understand the process and the pricing behind everything and was very easy to comprehend. He said it was okay for me to do it in stages, fix one dent and paint it, then do the next, etc. so I don't have to save up a ton of money all at once. I'm so so so happy with my car, and I was completely shocked to pick it up beautifully cleaned. (I am a messy car person so that was a really pleasant suprise) I got into a fender bender and needed quite a few repairs. I am pleased with the work done to my car and the cost. At pickup it ended up costing the very close to the estimate given. The only thing that could've improved my experience was the timeline however they seem to be at the mercy of the parts delivery people so I can understand the delay.

Lew and his team helped me with body work and paint for my Westfalia Camper Van. My van is old, had some minor rust spots and a few small dents. Lew advised me to have his team remove the windows, door handles, etc., repair the dents, paint the vehicle and he would replace the window seals, paint the door handles, wiper arms and anything else that needed to be refreshed. After the paint job Lew even helped me add a few decals that I had purchased. The job was completed on time and on budget. I had a good experience with Lew and his team and I recommend working with them.

I had a great experience with Maaco. The owner Lew is a truly nice, personable man. I brought my car from Astoria, and they drove me to the bus station and picked me up when the car was ready. 2 weeks later when I noticed a very light surface scratch, they put on a pinstripe to cover the scratch for free. Had my car painted by this shop. Honestly I'm very happy with the work, considering what I paid. My car needed more than I can afford, but they worked with me to stay within my budget. There are a couple little issues I've noticed so far, but it was sort of to be expected. My car looks %10,000 better than it did before. Now, their time estimates could use a bit of work. I was told it'd be done on Friday, then Friday was moved to Wednesday, and then down to Monday, and then Tuesday, and then Wednesday again. I guess I would rather them not rush and take their time, so it's not the worst. I wish they would over estimate instead of under promise. Either way, I'm happy with the results and now I have to do more work to make the rest of the car look as good as the paint.

My boyfriend and I visited Portland from Seattle for the first time and within an hour of arriving, someone hit our car. We went here and we were so happy when we left Portland. We gave them our car on Monday and they were able to fix the whole front of his car by Tuesday afternoon. I took my Audi A4 in for an estimate to get it painted to matte black. Immediately after setting foot inside the shop I was greeted by their exceptional employees. Lew (the owner) gave me a fast yet accurate estimate and a pretty sweet discounted deal considering they have cool discounts around late July-early August. The paint job took about two weeks to finish, but it came out amazing and even better it was finished on my birthday. You can tell that they really care about what they do as well as providing top notch customer service. If I could do it again, I would!

A little while back I got in a minor accident, dented in my front right fender, and I didn't quite feel comfortable driving with my wheel well narrowed, so I ran to the first closest body shop In the area, this Maaco location. I've had a couple experiences with body shops in the past and they weren't the greatest so I wasn't excited to visit another. However, the owner, Lew, and his daughter, Mackenzie (I apologize if misspelled), were very friendly and I couldn't believe how quick they were to get me in their books, set up my rental, AND walk my not-so-vehicle-savvy self through every single step of their inspection and estimate, pointing out small details of what my accident had caused and explaining how and why they would affect my vehicle. Then they went on to show me exactly how they process ordering parts and why each piece was neccessary (as well as debunking what another shop said would "Need" to be done), I didn't expect any of this. They immediately made me comfortable enough to hand over my vehicle. They kept great communication throughout the repair process, did GREAT work - it looks brand new, continued to further explain additional/different neccessary work discovered during and after repairs, as well as replacing some parts for me for free after the visit. Along with investing time to educate me and provide great service and atmosphere, they also gave me a discount on the often most costly part of vehicle repairs. This was a great experience, these are great people, and I'm not hoping to need any work done on my vehicle any time soon, but I'll be ecstatic that this is the experience I'll be getting when I do have to trust someone with a very valuable asset of mine. My 2011 Subaru's rear bumper got dented, and I went to Maaco to get an estimate last Tuesday. Mackensie helped me, explained why the bumper needed to be replaced, and gave me a quote for an aftermarket replacement bumper. I called her the next day (Wednesday) to schedule the work, and she ordered the part and said it would arrive the next day, and that they would paint it in the shop before I brought my car in. Friday morning I left them my car (Mackensie gave me a ride to work), and my car was ready with the new bumper installed on Friday afternoon. The bumper looks great, and it cost less than the other body shop I've used before, which, incidentally would have made me wait 3-4 weeks before being able to start the work. Super friendly, helpful, and speedy body work--I'll definitely come here again!

Lee went above and beyond in helping me understand what was wrong with my car after my accident, what needed to be replaced and what my expectations should be throughout the process. This being the first accident I had ever been in, he was extremely comforting and even walked me through the steps of how to deal with my insurance. I ended up going with a different auto body shop that was recommended by my insurance, just to make that aspect a little simpler, but I received MUCH better service from Maaco Autobody than any other place I took my car. In February 2020 me and my wife had been driving brand new car from San-Francisco, California to Fairbanks, Alaska. We got accident in North California. My wife was supper upset. I suggested to fix bumper in Portland, Oregon. We made few calls in Portland and Seattle, and best deal (time + money and quality) in the town we found was at Maaco Collision auto-care center at 2529 N Ross Ave. Thank you guys you are the best and if we going to cross Portland again we'll definitely stop to say Hi. **You are in good hands if you go to this Maaco** Lew is the owner of this Maaco, and he is a terrific guy. I had originally had body work done on my car at a Maaco location in Spokane Valley, WA. While they were great, it was done literally a couple days before I was moving to Oregon. I didn't find out until afterwards that the wiper fluid line got pinched in between one of the body panels when they put it back on. While I'm of no doubt that the Spokane Valley location would have fixed it, it was too late and too far to bring it back. Lew was very helpful in doing a warranty repair to fix this. I had originally tried to go to the Clackamas location because it was closer. I had initially contacted Maaco corporate to see how to get it repaired. The Clackamas location also spoke with Maaco corporate, but the manager there refused to call me back. It's pretty bad that even when corporate is involved that you still don't give two craps. I left the Clackamas location a terrible review. Lew was more than willing to help, he was very friendly and wanted to make things right. This is the kind of person you want to deal with, so you know even if a mistake happens (it's inevitable for anyone) that he's going to be there to make sure you're taken care of. On the day of the repair, they also shuttled me back and forth from the mall since I live out of town. Overall, great customer service here. You'll be in good hands!

Maaco's Team is the best! High quality work done the way it should be done in a great time manner. This was my second time coming to Lew and like always he takes good care of me and my car. I love the employees that have that sense of humor which makes the day a whole lot better. I did have to wait just a little bit more than what was told but Lew treated me with some great tea from a coffee place right down the street. This way i wasn't just sitting down staring at them while wait instead to enjoy the area with yummy tea and fresh air. I will always come back to this place and will recommend other as well! Lew was really great to work with! He explained everything to me with different price points for different services and helped me choose something within my budget. The only thing I was disappointed with was the inside of my car was a bit messy and I found the plastic emblum (the one that says Civic) sitting inside my trunk instead of stuck back on my car. I got quotes all around Portland for my Volks 412, merely trying to get a nice full coverage paint job and fix a little cancer spot beneath the drivers door and the prices ranged from 5 to 12 grand so I almost gave up hope because I could not afford any of that. A friend of the family recommended this Maaco in specific and at first I was skeptical because Maaco doesnt have the best reputation for amazing paintjobs but I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the shop to see multiple finely painted vehicles and to be greeted by some very friendly fellers. Right off the bat they asked me what I needed, what my price range looked like,(gave me a free quote) etc etc and they nailed it all. In the end I got everything done that I wanted, met some cool new people at the shop and kept it all in my price range! No surprise charges, no bullshit. I was even able to get the original color, marathon silver because Lew is da man!

I want to provide some background of my vehicle so that my experience at this Maaco makes sense. About 2 years ago, my hood was damaged and needed to be replaced. I had replaced it with a black, primed hood that was ready to be painted. In addition, when my boyfriend put the hood back on, due to the damage from the previous hood, the new hood rubbed at the top left edge of my car. Fast forward to last week when I made an appointment to meet with Maaco to get an estimate, I was not desperate to paint my car’s hood, so I was ready to walk if I didn’t like the price. With that being said, I knew what a ballpark price was and knew what I willing to pay for. I showed up an hour early to my appointment and they happily looked at my car right then and there. The first person who looked at my car was just starting out but made some decent recommendations for being fairly new. I was quoted my price, which was a lot lower than I initially thought and I was pretty happy with that. However, that was not the end of my estimate. Lee came over to inspect my car as well. He was very enthusiastic and it seemed like he genuinely wanted to help me out. He noticed right away that my hood was not centered and was very polite about suggesting ways to fix the “rubbing” problem on the top, left corner. He let me know right away that the hood’s new paint job was not going to perfectly match the color that is on my car and offered to blend the color into the sides (additional cost). However, after I told him my desire was to just get the car ready to sell, he took the blending back. He told me just to get the hood done and call it good. He evaluated the rest of my car told me about a couple offers but I felt no pressure to actually get them done to my car. When I dropped off my car, it was quick and easy to get myself checked in and on my way. But to go above and beyond what was required of him, he made sure I was able to get to work that morning. He gave me plenty of options and directions to get me onto the right train into work. I felt very pleased with this and it felt nice to have a business want to make sure not only that your car is taken care of, but that you are as well. During my estimate, I was told that if I dropped the vehicle off first thing in the morning that it would be done by the end of the next day. I dropped my car off early in the morning and got a call that same very day that it was ready to go! I was able to go pick up my car and take a look at the end result. Not only was the paint job done fast but it was done well. To say that I am happy with the job and the service that I was provided would be an understatement. The paint job was great. It did not match the cars overall color but I didn’t expect it too and it is very close. He was able to fix my hood so that it was more on center (fixing the “rubbing” problem) as well! The service was amazing and I would send anyone I know who needs a paint job here.

I wanted to get my car painted, so I decided to check out Maaco. I know nothing about cars and even less about painting them, but they helped me find just the color I wanted for a price I could afford. I ended up getting a gorgeous metallic blue for about $950, and that included completely replacing my front bumper, which was a mess. Everyone there was friendly and helpful, and they explained to me what they needed to do to make my car look good, so it didn't feel like I'd been given a number with no context of what the money was going to. In addition, I left my car there to get painted just a few days before I had to start my college classes again after summer - and they made sure that it would be done in time for me to get to school, even though to do so they had to work a lot faster than they normally would. The whole experience was great, and I left happy and with a great looking car. I definitely recommend this place!

The reason I gave them 4 stars is because they called me and told me its all done. So I made arrangements to get there and when I get there. My vehi5had the paper still on it, bummer was still off. Plus a few other things. I just wasn't ready to go at that time. Also everytime I called to communicate with them I was always told that someone will call you back in 5 min. That never happened. The paint job itself was beautiful. I would just complain on SOME of the customer service.

Lew the owner is a gem. He took an unfortunate situation (damage to car) and poured some sunshine on it. He was personable, knowledgeable, and punctual. He alerted us every step of the way and made sure to get us our car back in half the time of the other quotes I received (also at half the price!). Needing to have work done to your car is never fun, but Lew made it much less painful.

Lew is excellent and his knowledge of car repair is great. The service prodived while my car was in the shopw as excellent. Multiple times in the process he texted and checked in offering different solutions to issues and walking me through the benefits and drawbacks step by step. Communication when I was attempting to set up the repair was incredibly poor. I left work early multiple times to confirm details as I was not receiving calls back when I was told I would. One time I was stood up after confirming I'd arrive a little after 5:00. After that I had to cut work early to make it over and ensure I would be able to receive the details I needed. Additionally I was offered some free services when I initially complained about this issue. I was told to note this when I arrived to drop off my car. I did note this and still had to come back after I'd picked it up to get the services I was offered. In short knowledgable and trustworthy shop who does great work; hold there hand during any and all communications for the best experience.

I was hesitant to turn my 1950 work truck over to these guys. Lou (owner) said he understood that it is a working, delivery truck and that he could get it back to me a week later. He lied... he got it back to me in LESS THAN A WEEK!! And, it looks great! He was very clear and direct with each step of the process. He gave me his personal cell number, which works great for me. I was texting with him after hours, and he was quick to respond. I'm impressed with how much business they do and yet he was still able to always keep clear communication with me. Best part of my experience: I needed my truck back for work on Friday, but I didn't have a ride for my place (Wilsonville). The owner came and picked me up early in the morning! Totally saved the day for me. Overall: They were very clear on the work they would perform and clear about the time frame in which it would be completed. The work performed was above and beyond what I expected. The owner was great to work with. I would definitely work with them again!

Very good experience getting my RAV4 fixed. Lew was nice and the work was done quickly. They even buffed out a scratch on another car that my 2 year-old put on with a rock for free... like it was never there. Highly recommend these guys. UPDATE: Had my 2002 Nissan Frontier fixed and painted here too. I actually tried to start fixing it myself by ordering a pre-painted bumper and unpainted fender and flare but gave up and dumped it all on Lew and his guys. The flare got missed in the process and wasn't part of the original quote, but Lew had it painted anyway at no charge. His guys worked late on a Friday to get it done, and the truck looks great, couldn't be happier. Thanks again Lew!

I had a problem with my trunk staying closed, so as expected i started calling body shops in my area. Like most people I'm on a budget and like to call multiple places to get the best deal but something was different from the other five places I called. A man named Lew answered the phone and was very professional and actually gave me step-by-step instructions on how to diagnose and possibly fix the problem on my own (because they were 5 minutes from closing.) Unfortunately my lack of experience and tools ended up in me coming in the next day. I was greeted by Eric at the front desk that was vary helpful and treated me as if I was a friend he knew for a long time and it wasn't long before Jorge had my trunk closing and ready to go. Because it was an easy fix they did not charge me for the job as I think things should be. I will definitely be bringing my car back for all my repair needs. (Lucky for them I used to write lengthy hourly reports for the security company I work for and know how to use google.)

I had the extreme circumstance of needing a bumper painted/repaired in 1 day! This shop saved me and came through for me! I borrowed my bothers car when my car was stolen. The day before i had to return the car to him I was rear ended in a drive thru line(hit an run). I went to 4 shops who all told me it was a 2-3 day job minimum. The last place suggested Macco which was a God send! The owner heard my story and said he'd get it done that day and for $100 less than the other quotes. My dad died and he had a 2006 Toyota Corolla that had been in a few fender benders, because his vision and health were failing. Someone had approached my dad with a hammer and spray paint and offered to repair the dents for him in the parking lot of his apartment complex. My dad accepted that offer, and not surprisingly, the repair job was TERRIBLE. I wanted to give the car to my son, yet it was in really bad shape, with paint peeling and bubbling, and the car was rusting where the paint had peeled. We brought the car to Maaco in Portland to see if it could be saved. We worked with Erik, and he was available, educational, and professional! He shared options for the repair work and a paint job. We opted to have repairs done, and one very damaged door replaced, and a new paint job, changing the color from a dingy gold to a happy purple. They insisted on driving my son home when he dropped the car off. The work took a little longer than estimated, yet we took that as a good sign that they have a busy business. The car looks BEAUTIFUL! It almost looks brand new! There was one detail to follow up on and Erik was very proactive about the plan to address that after the paint had time to cure a bit. There was a little bit of overspray on the interior of the front doors, and my son discovered that the new door isn't responding to the automatic door lock/unlock button, yet we'll mention those things when we bring the car in to address the other detail, and I'm sure they'll resolve those things too. Overall, those details are minor, and if you could see the before and after, the car looks soooo good now! I wanted to trade my 2009 Toyota Corolla for my son's "new" purple 2006 Corolla! I'm so grateful for the work Maaco did, and for Erik's excellent customer service and friendliness! And the car is beautiful!

I am simply amazed at the quality of service and sheer professionalism I experienced when I took my car to the Ross Avenue location. Both the owner Lew, and his staff went the extra mile for me in every respect. I own a classic sports car that I previously made the mistake of having it painted at another shop. I took to a high end European shop here in town thinking that they'd do a good job painting it. The shop ended up doing a terrible job and charged me several thousand dollars, for a paint job that wasn't done professionally. I then decided to take my sports car to Lew at the Ross avenue location, and he actually fixed the high end shops mistakes for less than 1/2 the amount I was charged elsewhere. He even allowed me to keep my car there a little longer free of charge while my Garage was being remodeled. In my opinion, there is no better place in Portland to take your car to be painted, PERIOD!!!

Painted my old 97 Ford Ranger. I was a pain about color choice. Very pleasant and patient owner just loved my dog. Arranged for LineX bed and chip coat on hood to be done at same time. Drove me home after I dropped the Ford off. Painted my grill and wiper arms black to look better with the LineX chip strip. Paint has held up pretty well. Some peel around windows covered by warranty. Lots of comments on how good this old truck looks.

Open Saturdays - Major plus I showed up early to my appointment and didn't have to wait. Brian was courteous, friendly and professional. Before giving me an estimate on my scratched bumper he said let's just buff it and see if you even need a paint job. After buffing it he pointed out the small amount of damage which my untrained eyes couldn't even see, then he laid out my options. The estimate was reasonable and he did not pressure me at all. Coming into Lew's shop after a car accident was a breath of fresh air. After weeks of hassling with insurance companies from an accident I was received with guidance, support and patience. I left his office with an approach on how to deal with the insurance companies and knowing that my truck was safe in their lot. In the end my truck ended up being a total loss but my experience here was nothing short of excellent. I had a head injury from the accident which made dealing its aftermath of paperwork, lawyers, doctors and insurance companies monumentally difficult. Knowing they had my back was a huge level of reassurance in such a stressful situation. It's refreshing to find a business that's interested in building long term relationships with their customers. I know where I will be going next time I need anything auto body related.

Lew Wood told me what i could expect to have done giving my money situation. 938 dollars later my car looks new and my windshield does not leak or fog up like my old one. I'm an extremely satisfied customer. Even though I live in Salem, I brought my 1963 VW bug to MAACO on North Ross for a couple of reasons. I've only had occasion to have 3 cars painted in my life. The last two were at MAACO in Salem but they are no longer here. I read some good reviews of the MAACO on North Ross in Portland and since I was completely satisfied with my previous MAACO experiences I drove to Portland to get an estimate. Lew, the owner, took the time to explain all the steps involved in getting my old VW looking good again. IMO, both Lew and Brian could teach a course on excellence in customer service and I relied on their good advice. I could see also, from a tour of the business, that serious car guys trusted them to produce the best possible results on cars they had spent a lot of hours and money on. Brian located a replacement front fender for me and I was delighted with the way my old VW looked when my sister brought me in to pick it up. I would recommend this MAACO to anyone!

Lew has retired now but is such a nice man. My husband worked for him temporarily and he said he really enjoyed working there. One day I had accidentally left my headlights on and needed a jump, it must've been 25 degrees outside. I went in to the shop to ask for help and one of the guys was more than happy to help.
