After going to the same mechanic for almost two decades, I was forced to find somewhere new when the service and customer service deteriorated drastically. After reading reviews online, I decided to try Greulich's to see if I would be happier. What a great decision!!! The office staff is friendly, professional, and up front. They don't make promises they can't keep. The mechanics were thorough, and I received not only documentation of everything they did or thought needed to be done, but photographs as well. To further impress, they completed all the work I knew I needed, discovered two issues that were desperately needed and fixed those as well, and still had the job completed 20 minutes earlier than they quoted. I think I've found the mechanic I'll be using for the next two decades!!

Amazing service experience, and I wasn't even there. My daughter is attending college in Phoenix and of course being a worried dad, I wanted to make sure she was taken care of. Alonzo and his team did an awesome job!! Oil change was done on her vehicle, and they did a courtesy inspection checking the battery, tires, etc. The tech even pointed out a nail in her right rear tire and took a picture which she has since had repaired. Thank you Greulich's Automotive Repair for providing my kid exceptional service and giving her dad peace of mind!!!!!

Great service with honest mechanics. They offer useful text notifications for service updates and a link to the car's issues tiered by severity with images to show the problem. They don't try to tack on unnecessary services. However, they don't cover tire related issues. Definitely recommended and will return to them in the future.

They went above and beyond for me and my a/c. Even Ubered me a ride back to their shop when my car was ready! Apparently my connectors melted and I lost the blower to my a/c. Labor was crazy expensive but they saved me on a salvageable part off another 🚗! Was also given a warranty. After putting 78,000 miles on her in 2.5 years it was worth it!

Greulichs was sufficient for my oil change. They checked the breaks and then they offer to do the regularly scheduled maintenance, whether there is a problem with the suggested fix or not. They do not do any tires other than rotate, which is unfortunate. Work performed was adequate.

My Experience at Greulich Automotive, was an Amazing Experience. These Guys working on my Vehicle are so Professional, I would never trust anyone else but these guy at Greulich Automotive. They are consistent, reliable truthful, respectful, and most of all caring to get your car done right without trying to rip you off they give you the best price and they stand behind the word. “Nobody likes to have to get their cars & trucks serviced”. We are distraught at the moment something doesn’t sound right or we feel something in our gut when it doesn’t feel right. Am I right? So let’s take that as a given. I go to the Greulich’s Phoenix shop on Greenway: (The store just West of 51), to service all of our vehicles. This Automotive Team has fair prices and knowledgeable staff. They care; they know what they’re doing and their mechanic’s understand how to work a problem. Not every car says, “here’s what’s wrong w/me”. The best mechanics use their experience to narrow down a problem, but the great ones use a heuristic approach to deduce a problem. The Greulich team I go to are the best mechanics I’ve ever had work on my vehicles. This Greulich team is genuinely professional, and in a word, “exceptional” at what they do. The only thing that can make you feel worse about getting your car serviced is working w/people who don’t care or truly don’t know what they’re doing; re-repairs, if you will. Not this shop. Alonzo is my contact at Greulich, and he’s an amazing young man w/considerable aptitude and experience. I know he’ll go out in his way to fix my vehicles and always provide discounts when applicable. I can’t speak for all repair shops, but I drive 30 + minutes to this particular shop when I have a car problem. I had gone to Greulicks to set up an appointment to have the rotors groumd and only on the front axle. The price was $129+tax and it would be 45 minutes. I showed up at 720am for a 730am appointment. The truck was moved in around 8am. When I was called out, all of the tires were removed from the vehicle. I told them they were not authorized to touch the back tires and they were to put the tires back on. Later after not working on the truck I was informed it would be $530+ to fix. I was mad and would only pay for the rotors to now only be changed out- they were too damaged to be ground? Then the truck sat and they started working in the truck at 9am. Greulicks did work with me to resolve the issues which did show professionalism.

These guys are the best. They always get you in quickly, are extremely friendly and helpful, and all at a very fair price. The only exception is a full synthetic oil change. The guy down the street is doing synthetic oil changes for $40 less so I have been having that service done elsewhere. I have all four of my cars serviced at Gruelichs and have never been disappointed. Thank you!

I called Greulichs on a Tuesday, told them I worked for Home Depot and I need to get quarterly preventative maintenence on my truck. They are close to my house and I had heard good things so I gave them a shot. They had me in the next day. These guys are super friendly, extremely professional, and they know their business. It was clean, quiet- where you're not trying to yell over a compressor. They had me drop off and within an hour I get a text letting me know where they are with the truck.i think that is really cool. All repairs were authorized before hand. They found things that I had no idea about and they had all of the diagnostics to show. The truck was ready the next day but I couldn't pick it up. They secured it inside overnight. They had no issues with it. These guys are good and I'm really glad I went. I'll be back in a few months for sure!

Made appointment for an oil change through their on-line appointment booking software. When I arrived, the staff couldn't find my appointment in the system. Although they did a good job, as usual, it took way more time than it should due to the fact that I had to be worked into their schedule. Staff claimed that about 50% of the appointments aren't going through in the system, so headquarters needs to get to the bottom of it.

The Greulichs team at Greenway pkwy/32nd st are the "Bomb". I blamed them for what later turned out to be manufacturer's defect on my AC compressor. You would think they will then have nothing to do with me. Took my truck to a dealership which after 13days waiting to have my truck looked at wanted to charge me $4,700. Took it to Greulich's and they fixed everything PLUS changed my rear brakes for $2,100 in 2 days. The staff there have great communication and have great workmanship. They actually try to fix things instead of immediately resorting to, "everything must be replaced" as the dealership does.

I rated this service as a 4 star and did check Good quality, not great, which is not an option. I had the rear brakes done. The reason for 4 stars is, In my opinion and from past experience of having rear brakes worked on, the job was not completed 100%. The parking brake is connected to the rear brakes by a cable and when the rear brakes are worked on that cable should be tightened. This was not done. I could pull the parking brake lever all the way to the top very easily and when, with the car in drive, could move forward with very little resistance. I did call the shop and explained that this work was not done. The service writer spoke to the technician and told be that he did not, obviously, tighten the cable. He did tell me to bring the car back in and they would do that. I have used Greulich's many times and have never had anything like this happen. Their work has always been spot on, done professionally and I have always been treated with respect. I will take the car back in and have the work completed, seeing this as just a miss and will continue to bring my car back for service.

We liked the service. This was the second time we have taken our vehicle to Greulich's. Our only complaint is that we called a few days prior and received a 1 PM appointment and they did not get our vehicle in to the service bay until nearly one hour later. Other than that, they did a great job, pointed out the recommended service on the car, and thanked us for our time.

They put a timing chain cover on for me then 40 miles later my oil pump went out & blew my engine so they're like oh well we don't know how long you ran it low on oil (oil leak was reason for timing chain cover replacement) but I believe when they scraped old gasket off they got it in the pan and clogged my oil pick up . But they refuse to entertain the idea that it's their fault so I'm out a car!

Listen, I have been to a few Automotive repair shops and was left very unsatisfied BUT once my cousin told me to go to Greulich's a few years back THIS is the ONLY place I take my car to get oil changed & I will use them for other services as well. I love their customer service. Some places take advantage of female customers because they "think" we don't know to much about cars which in most case is true but I never got that vibe from Greulich's. They are HONEST & I love that about them. I have needed to go a couple times and they always provide great service, they also had provided a tow truck for me two days after I just had it in the shop to help me fix a part, they give discounts and do everything they can to help. They discuss in detail what needs to be done and what can wait for another time. They will always try to bundle services to avoid charging twice for labor. I’ve been especially impressed with the Greulichs at 32nd St and Greenway. The manager, Alonzo, is an absolute angel and has taken excellent care of me. Yesterday I took my car in and I really needed to make sure I was home by 6. Alonzo went out and worked on my car along with the technician to get it done. They’ve also arranged to take me home and pick me up on other occasions I was having my car serviced. If you want a reasonably priced shop you can trust, who is only looking out for your best interest and not the bottom dollar, this is the place to go!

Not a fan at all. However.... Greulich is completely different. They have integrity. They are honest. AND they do great work. A sensor was broken off in the engine at a dealership. Was told that the engine needed to be replaced. Took it to Greulichs. They had to take the engine apart but they fixed it at a reasonable price. They kept us in the loop via phone sometimes hourly, until the work was done. No better place to fix your car.

We have depended upon Greulich's on Greenway for years for service for our cars, after not being satisfied with some other shops in the valley. The estimates are fair and the workmanship is wonderful. The staff are knowledgeable and give clear explanations of what they find when diagnosing a car repair item. They are wizards at locating the needed parts when I come in with a car problem. My car seems years younger after the most recent repairs, and my smile is back when I drive the desert roads. I particularly like the way the staff will help me prioritize issues when they are found, and keep records on those recommended repairs until my finances allow me to take care of them. Fuel Pump went out on my 2005 Ford Ranger. Towed it in late Thursday and picked it up Saturday. Not a bad turn around considering how hard it is to get to the fuel pump and schedule labor. Repair was not cheap but understandable considering the labor time and an expensive fuel pump. After I freaked out over the cost, they were nice enough to throw in a complimentary oil change and since I was in a jam, picked me up after the job was done. I cannot be more thankful to Austin and the team at this shop. My bumper came off of my car and was dragging on my front tire while on my way to an appointment. I pulled off the 51 and surfed into the closest parking lot. Yes, just as I thought, some clips came off. I wandered over to Greulich's (in the same parking lot) on an off chance that someone would help me. All of the bays were full and it was obvious others were waiting to be serviced. I went in and asked if I got a ride if they could fix my car and surprisingly got a "yes" that was unexpected. I went to my appointment and got a call 30 minutes later that my car was fixed. We moved to a different part of the Valley and needed to find a mechanic that we could trust and go to for any issues with our cars. I used a different Greulich’s years ago and thought I would give them a try after relocating again. I needed an oil change and had an oil leak. Jordan scheduled me and kept me updated on the status throughout the day. I was given the least expensive option to start with to repair the leak, then told to give it some time to see if there is an additional leak that they could not confirm until cleaning the exterior of the oil pan and seeing if the oil started to leak again after replacing the gasket. He took his time to explain the issue, told me about other non-urgent items to keep on my radar but didn’t push anything. I will return to this location for future business. I appreciate the honesty and really love finding a shop that I trust is not taking advantage of me.

I've been going to the Greenway location for oil changes for 5 years. I now have a 15 year old crossover with a lot of original parts that are showing wear and tear. After helping my brother install a 2" lift kit, he recommended an alignment. I noticed some split bushings and beat up tie rods in the front while helping with the install. I had forgotten about it until I took my car into Greulich's for the alignment and an oil change. They reached out before doing any work to let me know what they found. There were no attempts to upsell anything unnecessary. I was very grateful they were able to take care of everything (alignment, oil change, bushings, tie rods) and get me back on the road same day.

They’ll let you know, and then are direct with you about whether it’s important. I don’t feel scammed here they way I would at a car dealership. Stopped in today because of the reviews I read online. I was asked if I had an appointment and I stated that I did not but that I would wait while they changed my oil. I was told there would be about an hour and a half wait. When I mentioned that it was not a problem they worked their hardest to expedite the process. I was in and out in about 45 minutes! I even had great conversation with the employees while I was there. I was happily surprised when my full synthetic oil change was about $25 less than I was paying at my other shop! I will be back! Alonzo was very helpful and courteous, definitely would recommend 100% the only thing I could say could improve is that I had an oil change scheduled but it still took 45 minutes to complete. But I understand they can get really busy as well, I did end up making a last minute decision to have my rotors change and that only added about 20 minutes so I was super happy with the overall service. Will be coming back to have my car serviced here from now on. Also the other manager was really friendly in giving me information about their programs!

Two of my visits to this shop were positive. The guys at the desk are friendly and helpful. Online scheduling of appointments was easy and convenient. They recommended additional work but didn't use fear or manipulative sales tactics when I said I needed to only do the most urgent work, and save up for the rest. On the third visit, they strongly recommended break replacement and rotor resurfacing, with only a small % left. I got a second opinion from a mechanic friend who has checked the breaks and said I still have at least 12,000 miles left on them.

I have a 2012 VW Tiguan, and recently I found out my car was leaking coolant. The mechanic from the dealership advised the leaking is from water pump and need to replace it. Sincere and Honest! I took my car in for an oil change. When I left, however, my car began acting funny and ultimately not starting later that day. I called the guys back up and explained what was going on. They said to bring it back as soon as I could (which was opening the next day at 7:30AM). Glenn said they would (re)check everything- thinking it was a battery issue and quoted me a price for the service. They confirmed my contact number and said they would be in touch if anything came up. I decided to make an initial payment in cash, and do the rest by card over the phone later. I had to be at work the whole day so they even offered me a ride TO work...very considerate! Couple hours later, I got a call saying it was actually just a faulty wire connection which they took care of and the whole repair would cost just over my initial cash amount- but to make it easier on both sides, they simply made it the cash amount and nothing more! Whether the return trip was their fault or not, these guys were accommodating and genuinely concerned about the fact that I had to bring my car back a second time. I appreciated the above and beyond service and communication. I will definitely be back for any and all repairs I might need- Thanks, guys!!

I stated that this tear was not in the seat when I dropped off my car. They asked me if I could prove the tear was not there, I said no. We had a conversation, but they repaired the seat. The auto services were also good, and I was very impressed with their customer service, beyond the norm.

They were so nice and incredibly helpful. I drive a 2014 Subaru Outback that requires full synthetic oil only, which as many know is very expensive compared to mixed synthetic and conventional motor oils. When it was time to get an oil change, I called around to compare prices, and was shocked at the value of Greulich’s!! The dealership was about $50 more (I know, not surprising), and every other place was at the least $25 more!! Oh and they included free tire rotation, and were really great to look over my car very thoroughly because I’m heading to Wisconsin tomorrow. I wish I could stay here to use them again. Greulich’s does a great job diagnosing the problem and charges a fair price for repairs. They kept me informed throughout the process and completed the repairs quickly. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars was because no one who worked there was wearing a mask to protect their customers, in the middle of a pandemic, and there were no social distancing guidelines for customers or other measures to keep people safe. My husband is going through chemo and radiation and has a fivefold chance of dying if I, or someone else, gives him Covid. I would hope the business rethinks it’s practice in consideration of its customers.

The quality of service and caring that went above and beyond, is what sets Greulich's apart from the rest. I am speaking on behalf of Jimmy and his team at the Greulich's off of Greenway, in Phoenix. My car had a major mechanical issue that left me stranded on the freeway, at the onset of rush hour traffic. There was no tow truck that could reach me and most auto shops closed within an hour. I called the closest mechanic, which happened to be Greulich's. They basically understood my level of stress and took it from there. They had one of their guys come get me off the freeway, arrange for a tow truck to pick up my car and tow it to their place and arranged for me to get a rental car and took me there to pick it up. They had a detailed diagnostic of what was wrong with my vehicle the very next morning. The service I received here made a very stressful situation manageable. I'm very grateful to Jimmy, Alfonso and Shawn for reacting quickly and taking "care" of myself and my situation.

To find out what actually needs fixing, they want $118, which seems steep. Not the technicians fault, but seems like a crummy policy. A co worker mentioned my tail light was out. I called O'Reilly's Auto Parts and was told a replacement bulb was $7. I asked if they could install the bulb and the said no, it was a "liability" issue. When I picked up my truck I was told that the radiator reservoir was empty, usually they would have just filled it for me, this time they did not. I would recommend Greulich’s Automotive to everyone. If you are looking for an honest, trust worthy and dedicated shop this is your place. We rarely need auto shops as we usually buy new or certified pre-owned vehicles and use the dealerships for most of our needs. However, we purchased a used vehicle from a private owner and unfortunately the vehicle was in much worse condition then we thought it was going to be. We took the van to a local dealer who specialized in this Make and Model. The estimate they gave us was over $6900 on a vehicle we paid $3300 for. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. We started researching the Arizona BBB for a shop to get a second estimate and Greulich’s was not only BBB accredited but AAA rated too. We called the shop for a review; they took it the next day. They are beyond friendly, caring and most importantly committed to quality. They looked over the van and said that many of the repairs stated by the dealership were not needed but the ones needed were in most cases HALF the cost. They started repairs that day and in the course of repairs the Van had one issue that was very perplexing. Greulich’s REFUSED to give up; they were determined to make this repair when most shops would have thrown up their hands in defeat. They tried everything in their arsenal, including bringing in other techs and even consulting with another dealership. We were so impressed with their commitment to excellence, their up front and honest approach and determination we are now customers for life. Every vehicle we own from this point forward will be serviced by them and we will scream their praises to all our family and friends. It can be very intimidating to have vehicle issues and be difficult to find a truly honest shop. I rarely take the time to write a review for companies, let alone a automotive shop but Greulich’s is truly something special in this day of lax customer service and commitment to a job well done. We used the 32nd street location in Phoenix but after this would trust all locations.
