I've been to Choice Auto Repair twice within 5 months and have been extremely happy with their service. Kevin at the front desk is awesome and easy to talk to. He is informative and straight to the point. I came in for a new battery and walked out happy within an hour the first time I came by. After 5 months, I needed to replace the battery due to it not working anymore, but they swapped it out within 30 minutes and no charge since it was still under warranty. Great service and professional. Would highly recommend them!

This mechanic shop is hands down the best place for a girl to take a car and not get screwed over. They don't fix what's not broke, they do good work, they don't upsell. Let me nut shell it for you this is one of the few rare honest mechanic shops and I love these guys. I won't let my daughter or myself take our cars anywhere else... Because I trust the work and their mechanics. The only drawback is they are so busy that it's really hard to get a human on the phone to book an appointment with them just keep trying it's worth it.

Stay after them, though, as when I returned in hopes of having the Jeep lifted, the call was returned with a promise to have someone call me. I love, love, love this place! Who says that about their mechanics?? I was referred here by a friend. The owner used to work at another shop that I loved and frequented. Both were and are totally above board and honest beyond belief! Even tho it's hard for me to get here because I work over an hour away, they always try to accommodate me to get me on the schedule and get the work done! Everyone is so nice and never ever recommend work I don't need done, and even when I think I might need something, they let me know I can wait if it's not immediately necessary. This place beat my best quote by almost 50%! Additionally, their customer service is stellar. Every staff person I encountered was incredibly upbeat, helpful and well informed. They allowed me to park my vehicle on their lot prior to and after my repairs. I'm not the only one who thinks this place is amazing because it is quite popular. You may not be able to get in overnight, but they will do everything they can to make sure that they get to you as soon as possible. The lot is locked and guarded. You can certainly trust them.

I go to Choice Auto whenever I have any concerns with my car and they are absolutely wonderful. They don't do a hard sell and their prices are fair. Last time I went in I had emissions troubles (ancient catalytic converter died right before emissions testing came due) and they got it fixed under the quoted price and in less than a day. Only once have I had any issues with the work, and that was just a belt that needed adjustment. They took care of it quickly and professionally. Kevin is fantastic, as is everyone else I've dealt with there.

Super nice owner. My windshield wiper fluid wasn't spraying, he looked at it and figured it needed a new motor. They ordered the part and we found a time two days later to fix it. Sometimes you find a place so good that when you move out of town you still come back to use the service. I've tried a bunch of places in midtown Phoenix and realized that I'd just rather make the trip back to Choice to work on my car. From the initial phone call with Kevin detailing what I needed done to the moment I drove off the grounds, A++ all the way around!! They got me in within a few days of making my appointment, very friendly and upfront and discussed my options. Savo called me in the morning after inspecting my vehicle and told me what I needed and how much the cost was and gave me options about other things (brakes). Great neighborhood mechanic. Have been in twice in the last couple months. Luckily each time have been minor issues with my old truck. Choice has helped me with the easy solution first. Superior management and absolute honesty. There have been at least 3 times when we brought in our car and it ended up having nothing wrong with it and they did not charge us a cent. (Example: brakes were squeaking and they look at them and told us they are fine it's just that the brake pads are cheap [which we had installed somewhere else]). They have even adjusted our serpentine belt at no cost because it was screeching when starting the car. We used to live right next to them but we now live 10 miles away and we still bring our car there.

I was in a bit of a pickle with an unconventional request. 2 other places refused to help me, before I went on google and saw that this place had really good reviews (many reviews too). This shop has some experienced mechanics and phenomenal prices. I went to their shop about my traction control because my car was shaking on the highway. He told me that it probably wasn't my traction control and if I wanted to change the error status that it would probably cost 2500 dollars to replace the whole TCL unit because that's part of how my car was manufactured. This was my second quote for the same issue so I knew he was being honest. He told me the shaking was likely a tire issue and that the tires were a priority over the unit replacement. He recommended I get my timing belt replaced because my car is at 120k miles. He quoted me a price of 500 for the job. I had my friend's father, a shop owner, quote the same job for 1300. That was with the friend discount! I didn't go through with it because I felt my tires were a priority and that's all I had money for. He didn't push the recommended belt replacement at all! Great service!

The mechanics here were very kind and professional. I've been searching for a place to put in a pre-purchased part for ages with no success, and these guys offered to do it for me. I wasn't expecting my car back until Wednesday, but they got it to me on Tuesday and everything is running well. The mechanic also let me know that he found an AC leak and, since they had the part on hand, fixed it free of charge. Absolutely come here if you want speedy, reasonably-priced, professional service. The 10% ASU student discount definitely helps out too!

I recently had my passenger side door stopped working on me all of a sudden to where I couldn't unlock the door and open it. After suffering through that for a couple months I decided to go get it fixed. I brought it to Choice Auto Repair and within a couple hours of having dropped it off and having other assessments and work done, they were able to tell me exactly what the issue was, and what needed to be done. I said go ahead and do what needs to be done, and 3 hours later they had the part ordered in, changed out, and my car ready to go and ready for me to drive. Having said this there is an important note that you should have in mind when going here. They are hard-working mechanics, they also just happen to lack friendly customer service. This isn't saying that their customer service isn't good, they know exactly what they're talking about, will call you with updates, I have no complaints there. But do not expect a friendly, go happy person when you're paying or talking with somebody that window. They're going to give you the facts, they're going to get the job done fast and effectively, and that's about it. They're not going to be your best friend, so if you're looking for a mechanic who's going to sit down with you and draw out each part and then explain how everything works, this is not that place. Drop your car off, let them fix it, and pick your car up.

I took my car to Choice Auto to get a second opinion. I received a quote from another shop saying I needed over 2k of work done on a car with less than 60k miles which seemed odd. Choice Auto looked at my car and told me all the “necessary repairs” I was told “needed to be done” were false. I only ended up needing new brake pads for $170. Kevin is just beyond fantastic. These guys couldn't fix my check engine light the first 2 times. Once I took it back to them they fixed a bunch of stuff and drove it around till the check engine cycle till it did not reappear. Kevin refused to take a single dollar this time around although I am sure his cost of business would have been close to $500. And to top that they even got the emissions test done for me while I was away as bonus and wouldn't accept the test fee either. Great bunch of lads!

Very happy with my repair work today at Choice Auto Repair. I had my front axle, two rear shocks, and two rear brakes replaced. Staff was courtesy and helpful when I called for a quote, welcoming when I arrived to drop off the car (including a ride to work), and then efficient to get me wrapped up when I came for pickup. Repair cost was $200 more than quoted over the phone, but staff didn't beat an eye. He automatically looked at the invoice, found out where the issue was and why it took more labor than originally expected, and then still discounted it for me when he didn't have to to make sure I felt it was a fair deal. I will be back and will refer others.

Under promised and way way over delivered!!!! I showed up with my truck in tow with no appointment or even a call ahead. As would be expected they told me it would most likely be tomorrow before they could get to it as it was Monday and they already had a full day with people that had appointments. Of course I understood and even got info from them on where I could go to rent a car. Well, only 50 minutes later I get a call that they went ahead and looked at it and had found one problem being the starter was broken so they were going to fix it and then figure out why it had quit running. 30 minutes later got a call the engine was seized by what looked like a cylinder being full of fuel or something liquid at least and they would have to take the spark plugs out to diagnose the problem. Another 20 minutes later got a call that it was fuel injector number 7 was broken and flooding the cylinder causing all the problems. Well, 60 minutes from there it was all fixed!!!!! Nothing short of amazing if you ask me. Very fair pricing as well.

There are not enough words to express how amazing Choice Auto Repair is. I have been going there for about 1 year now. When I first called, I was dealing with an issue with my Honda Insight Hybrid and an a/c issue. When I finally called them after calling many other repair shops, Savo answered and immediately answered my question about my hybrid a/c compressor, which is internally and electrically different than non-hybrid a/c compressors. The point is that no one else knew the answer! Savo immediately knew!! I have come back many times since and the service, prices and expert knowledge of all the techs there is the best I have ever experienced. I have other vehicles that I have brought there and I will not bring my vehicles anywhere else.

The guys at Choice helped me out with my vehicle emergency when someone broke off my side mirror and living in the east valley I didn't know any trustworthy mechanics out here in Tempe, well they honestly helped me out, gave me a great price and penciled me in between cars on a busy Friday so I can go home and enjoy the weekend. My check engine light was on, so I brought it in to see what was going on. Turns out, since my car is from CA, it was on because it would have failed the smog test. Since Arizona has no smog test, which they told me, I didn't need to get it fixed. It would have required replacing the parts responsible for the smog test, about $750 each, but since I'm not going to California, they said I didn't have to do the repair if I didn't want to. They only billed me for the labor costs, and that was very cheap at just $50. I highly recommend you go to this place for repairs or even to just see what's up with your car.

I took my car to Choice last week, I had a transmission fluid leak they put it up on the lift and verified that the seal had gone out and the mechanic also noticed there was play in the transaxle. Kevin called me back and said that he could replace the seal but it would end up wearing out and didn't want to go down that road and explained to me that I had some play in the transaxle probably a bushing so I took it to a transmission shop and sure enough the bushing was worn out. I can't say enough praise to Kevin and his shop. It is so hard to find a reliable mechanic that you can trust and I have found one.
