I also really appreciated them giving me a list of coming up repairs and Christina went over what was priority next. They were amazing with keeping me updated on everything. Also, they pay for you to have a lyft home if you have to leave your car. I would highly recommend this location.

Another great experience!!! I went to this location on 121st & Dodge after having an issue with my vehicle. Took my car in on a Saturday, within the hour they diagnosed the issue, called me and said the part needed would be in on the following Tuesday. That Tuesday came and by 11am, I recieved the call my car was ready. I truly appreciate the great customer service I revieved from Dan and Brad. Thank you both for being so nice, concerned and helpful. Thank you Dan, for your honesty and explaining everything along the way regarding my vehicles' needs. I recently used the services of Brakes Plus on 12110 W Dodge Road in Omaha, NE. I went in needing an alignment because I recently had new tires installed. (FYI--Discount Tires next door--where I purchased the new tires--had a coupon for $20 off an alignment at Brakes Plus.) I also needed them to look at my rear suspension, because I had a strong feeling that the noise I had been hearing was probably a suspension issue. Sure enough, in addition to the alignment, I needed new camber bolts and new strut assemblies. They provided me with a color-coded diagram of the alignment measurements (both pre and post alignment). I worked with Christina Barker. She was very polite, professional, and helpful. She was very patient with my many questions. I don't know much about cars, but she does--she told me a few stories of her long history of working on cars. She also came across as very honest and wanting to help and serve her customers. The store (including bathrooms) was very clean. Detailed wall posters of car underbodies were used to help explain the anatomy of my issues. And surprisingly, they allow their customers in their shop area so that they can show them specifically what the issues are with their vehicle. I don't know how they compare in price to other shops, but my neighborhood mechanic can't do some of the work (alignments) and has to outsource those anyway. They were also offering a deal when you purchase/repair three strut assemblies, the fourth one is free. I chose to stay while they worked on my vehicle. They have both a chairs only and a long desk area in their customer lobby--which I used to work on my laptop. It sounds like transportation service is available if you needed to drop off your car for them to perform a multi-hour job. All in all a great experience! Go see Christina and tell her Cathy (the charger-borrowing patron) sent you. :) P.S. They offer free alignment screening, so if you don't need an alignment, they won't charge you. And as I previously mentioned, they show you a printout of the testing of your vehicle, so there is an objective, evidence-based recommendation. P.P.S. I didn't realize that they would need to go through the interior of the car to do the work, so, I suggest that you go without a lot of stuff piled in your backseat. Trust me.

I went to Brakes Plus back in Colorado and had nothing but great things to say. I can't say my experience at this one was terrible, but it wasn't great. I was nearby when I had a shake when braking. I was told I needed to replace my pads and rotors. Went to the dealer for a second opinion and after a small fix (which cost me nothing because I get most of my regular maintenance there) it was fixed. Again, my pads and rotors do have some miles on them, but there was a fix much more affordable than presented. They were nice and efficient but I didn't feel all options were presented so I most likely won't be going back.

Oh Brakes Plus.🤪 I am stuck between a rock and a hard place with you. I was referred to them by another very reputable Omaha business. Due to scheduling, logistics, etc I chose B Plus. I needed an airflow sensor replaced right before Christmas. I know the dealership can be extremely expensive so I opted for the local guy. My job was done quickly and efficiently. So I thought! The very issue that led me there re-occurred a few days after leaving. Now, they have been quite accommodating and willing to work with me to resolve said issue. For THIS I applaud them. After service advisor Mike didn't provide much reassurance, I opted to involve Steve, the General Manager. Fast-forward to now. The sensor was replaced. It was re-replaced. Now the dashboard warning light and issue still persists! I want to trust them. That is my nature. But, why can't they just get it right? Of course, the local Nissan dealer is telling me..."You have to bring it in here, get a factory issued part installed and get the vehicle's computer re-programmed, etc.". Blah blah blah. I just want my car's issue resolved and get on with my life. I'm losing my patience but I am hopeful that a local shop like Brakes Plus can finalize this for me. They have a reputation to uphold and I can't afford to keep running here there and everywhere. More our less, shelling out more money than I have already. I'll update y'all. Hopefully this has a happy ending.

Wow ! This place was absolutely incredible! First off, I’m not a car person AT ALL so I was nervous to even go there in the first place. 😂 When I walked in I was greeted by the managers Dan & Brad. They were both so friendly when I was trying to explain what was wrong with my car. Brad offered to take me home and then he would pick me back up when my car was done or I was welcomed to stay and wait (which was very shocking to me & love that they do this for people❤️)but they were able to get me right in so I waited in the waiting room which was so clean, organized and smelt amazing. Dan came out about 40 min later and told me what was wrong with my car and he answered all my questions honestly. He even saved me some money !! He wasn’t pushy and told me what I needed to get done and what I could probably wait a little longer on. I would highly recommend Brakes Plus. They are the most honest, trusting auto repair shop I have ever been too.

Boy, they take customer care seriously! I needed some big deal brake work done on my car and needed to pay a stupid tax for not taking care of this sooner. New rotors, new pads and shoes, all the stuff. Not one person in that shop (and I interacted with at least 4 different staff members in my 5 hours in the shop) made me feel bad for not getting in there sooner. When it came to putting my hood back down, I had a... creative way... to close my hood involving a complicated system of carabiner and a wish from a genie I found in a lamp in an Arkansas antique mall. They let me come in and close it myself and let me feel like I knew my car best. It is rare for a mechanic of any type to treat owners like they are competent people. I will be back for literally anything they can do that I can't. Rarely do I get the feeling anymore that I am doing business with real people and not corporations and beaurocracies. Brakes Plus (at least this location) really seems to embrace true customer service. Lifetime customer acquired for sure! **edited to add- Dominick was fantastic and definitely the lynch pin for the whole place. If you guys aren't paying him 100k a year, you're not paying him enough and you're getting a STEAL. He is not the average customer service person you experience out in the world... Appreciate him or someone else will grab him!

I was at Costco (right next door) trying to get gas and couldn't get my gas cap off. I Maps searched "car help" and Brakes Plus came up. I called, told them my situation, and they said to stop by so they could l take a look. This was around 5PM. Brought the car by and they said they could get a replacement gas cap brought to them in about a half hour, so I got everything fixed/taken care of right there. They had me out the door by 5:45PM! My gas light was on and everything and I wasn't sure what I was going to do, but they came to my rescue!

Called in Friday morning as I was hearing/feeling some grinding with what turned out to be my brakes (was hoping it was just something hung, no dice). Rob worked me in for a free inspection. Unfortunately (thank you salt and snow) I needed new brakes all around and an alignment (no surprise there given pothole city). After taking my car to the dealer for an oil change and told I needed to replace my rear brakes for over $1,000, I took my car here to get a quote to compare pricing. Brakes Plus inspected my brakes and found the pin that was causing the issue with my rear brakes and told me everything else looked good. The pin was a 75 cent part that they replaced free of charge. I couldn't be happier with the great customer service they provided. I would definitely go back for any other work I needed done.

After spending a lot of money to fix the issue, it turns out that the issue I took it in for was not fixed. The crew here offered to roll my wheels over to the Discount Tire next door while working on the suspension and had everything put back together and ready when I picked up the vehicle. I initially went in for my check engine light. I visited the papillon location for repairs. They said it was my coolant and it was low and sensor went off. They recommended a coolant flush. Unfortunately after the repairs it started to leak coolant. I called them and they said bring the car into the nearest location. I had to have the car towed into dodge location. Tim The manager from papillon called the dodge location let them know what happened. When I spoke to the manager (unfortunately I can’t remember his name) he said not to worry about anything they will take care of everything. It did take them a few days to repair my vehicle since the leak caused some Other issues. I did get my vehicle back fixed and as they promised they took care of all costs. I have been going to brakes plus for years. I will continue to go. The are very professional and great customer service. Thank you papillon and dodge location for all your help!!! I highly recommend brakes plus!

I really like this location and the staff here, especially the manager, Rob. He's always polite and professional. My Jeep needed a good bit of work and I knew from past experience that Brakes Plus was the place to go. I'm never disappointed in Rob and the fellows & the cost was much less than the dealer would have charged me. I'd recommend Brakes Plus at W Dodge Rd to anyone who needs service done at a reasonable cost. UPDATED REVIEW: In April I had a control arm with ball joint replaced and it wasn't cheap! After a few weeks I started hearing noises every time I hit a bump or turned into my parking lot at home (uneven pavement). I went back to Brakes Plus to inquire about the noises, Rob (manager) at Brakes Plus told me it was my shocks/struts that needed replacing, which he'd told me previously. That turned out to be untrue, my shocks and struts fine! Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago, the noises were progressively getting worse so I went to another auto repair shop for answers. I was asked who replaced the control arm assembly? Imagine my surprise when I was told that several of the bolts were NOT TIGHTENED after the repairs from Brakes Plus!?!?! Not only was I lied to more than once, my safety was jeopardized - all for $$$. At that moment I questioned EACH repair I'd ever had done at Brakes Plus! Well, when you know better, you do better. Customer and trust LOST.

To start this out I never waste time with reviews but I honestly felt like I needed to share my opinion and experience with this location. It started when I went to a different location and had a bad experience. I don't judge a whole based on one. So I went to this location on 121st & Dodge. I was greeted by Justin. I explain what had happened he immediately without any questions apologized for my bad experience at the other location and brought the assistant manager (I believe) Jordan. Jordan asked me to explain and looked up what I had been quoted and what needed to be done on my van. I needed to save money as I'm a young father. Jordan not only did more work than I would have been able to afford but for the trouble her saved me nearly $500!!! It was done in about 3 hours. THAT IS NOT ALL! The mechanic (unaware of his name) took the windshield wipers from the cargo of my van that I bought earlier in the day at a different store and put them on for me. They all 3 went above and beyond what they could have done. I really appreciate you guys. I will most certainly be back for all my repairs and updates!

I brought my car in for what I thought would be a simple alignment. It turned out to be much more, and I am so thankful Rob was able to walk me through the whole process of repairing my brakes and struts. His assistance made this experience as simple as possible, he was upfront about cost and what all needed to be fixed. This includes which issues were emergent and which could be put off for a short while if I needed to. I'll be going back there for any future issues I have, I can't recommend them enough!

Took my work truck to get alined after I had bought new front tires. Alignment could not be performed as it was, ...the truck needed Inner Ball Joint and Tie rod, not to mention it was missing a brake caliper guide pin!!! It may not seem like a big deal to some, but it was to me knowing that I travel back and forth from Denver to Nebraska and Kansas. I really appreciate that fact that they mentioned it and got them replaced. It took a couple days longer than expected but because of the aftermarket lift on it. I appreciate that they stayed late and got it done before I had to head back home to Denver. Awesome guys, will definately consider them if I'm back in Omaha and need any services done to my work truck. Exceptional work!! Zach and everyone there were nice and very professional. The rotors on my car started smoking late one night and I had my car towed to this Brakes Plus location for when they opened that morning. I was planning to call them when they opened to explain the situation, however, I got a call even before they opened telling me they already looked at my car and had a plan to fix it that day! Update January 2019: We continue to get excellent service from this location. They’re kind enough to honor coupons if we forget them! If I could give these guys a million starts I would. I was scared when i was driving my newly purchased 15' Honda Fit and the front right side started making a very loud scratching sound while I was in motion. I brought my vehicle to these guys. Blaine and Rob found the problem in 10 minutes. A rock had wedged between the steel plate and rotor. It was no bigger than my little finger nail, yet it created a god awful sound. I was told when I had my recent prepaid oil change service @ Baxter Subaru that my brake fluid was in “fair” condition and needed to be addressed/changed soon... they want to charge $129.99 for the service.....This seemed pretty high $$$ wise to me (I know it’s a dealer but still) ...so I decided I would check with Brakes Plus & other local business that specialize with this type of maintenance. Brought car in for alignment prior to taking to dealership for software patch for steering. Brought car back to brakes plus to diagnose nagging wandering when driving. Rob was very attentive and listened to my problem. He went as far as to check different sensors to make sure they were calibrated correctly. In the end they did another alignment and charged me less then first time. All in all this store has the technicians with the knowledge and temperance to resolve the issue at hand and forewarn you of upcoming items that will need attention and how to tell when it needs fixed. Best of all, their prices beat the competition easily and they offer free inspections on most things.

Having problems with your brakes is one of the most frightening things! I was referred to this location by a friend and they were amazing! I walked in visibly shaky I'm sure and the first thing Rob said was, "Are you Okay?" And offered me coffee. I felt like the team honestly wanted to be helpful and get me back on the road safely! After years of using only my dealer, I decided to try the 2017 Best of Omaha winner, which turned out to be Brakes Plus. My brakes had been squeaking, loudly. I asked for the price up front, which turned out to be $30 less than my dealer. I also located one of their coupons for another $20 off. They did a great job, and my brakes are quiet now. Everyone I dealt with was courteous and knowledgeable. A few days later, I tried to put on my new license plates, but one of the bolts was frozen and wouldn't move. I took the car back in. In just a few minutes they removed the two bolts and replaced them with new ones ... at no charge! So far, I'm liking this place.

Jiffy Lube completely screwed up my fiancee's car, so we took it in to Brakes Plus to fix it. We were pretty upset at the time because of the damage JL had done, but we came to pick up the car, and Brakes Plus did the work for FREE! We expected to pay around $150 for the repairs to the damaged wheel, but they handed us the keys and said, "Don't worry about it." They helped us out so much and made our day a lot better. They did the work quickly, and they did it right. Highly recommend these guys!

I took my older car in to have the brakes checked. When they called me to report catastrophic damage to my brakes, I told him it wasn’t worth the money on this older car, and offered to pay for their time. He told me that the brakes were so bad that he didn’t want me to take it off the lot, and responded with “no you won’t pay because we do brake checks for free”. I picked up the car and traded it that day, but am impressed by their willingness to forego payment even though they had pulled all 4 wheels and spent a considerable amount of their time. I will definitely go back when service is required on this car.

The best mechanic shop i have been to, been going here for years, from oil changes to engine replacement. I have even had my family switch to this location for the service we get. Honest, fast, great costumer service wouldnt trust anyone else with my cars Two years later...... still by far best mechanics I have had probably dropped over 25k at this place over years of business. Will always come back, have sent all my family here and friends. Over 5 vehicles they have worked on including 100% engine replacement on a rare unique engine that required a Mazda rep to help with. When I look at these low rates for the place I feel disappointed in the public, I have been to bad shops and been screwed but never by Rob. And people need to understand the limitations of a mechanic they may not catch everything because they dont drive it all the time or your car could just be that big of a clunker. If it is find a shop ran by someone who thinks they are a mechanic and screws people constantly instead of blaming your vehicles problems on good Mechanics like Rob, Brian, Blaine or Seth. Or if you have that many issues become a mechanic and fix it yourself.

This is the place! Getting new tires at Costco and need an alignment? This is the place! Do your own wrenching and need an alignment? This is the place! Don't know anything about vehicles and just want to trust someone? This is the place! New vehicles to much older ... these guys can handle them. Let's face it, nobody likes spending money on a vehicle, and there are many opportunists out there .... peace of mind at this Brakes Plus location. They will physically show you the issue if you want, and get you on your way! I drive across town to get to this location, and I recommend you do to. They are logically busy, and strive to make appointment times stick, and typically do. Some job times are simply variable/tough to estimate precisely. If you don't want to wait, simply leave your vehicle. WIFI and desktop area in the lobby if you choose to stay. They have done work on my relics and my daily drivers, and will again.

I brought my vehicle in for an alignment and asked them to check a few extra things. There were THREE men who attended to my vehicle and they wanted to show me specifically what the problem was, so brought me out to the shop to explain it. They wanted to help me research possible options and found the parts I needed on the Internet for me right then and there. When I asked if they could do the service, they said they could, but also mentioned that my husband could do it because of how easy it was. It was SO NICE to know they weren't trying to up-sell me and only provide me with good, quality, affordable service. They showed me the computer printout of the alignment problems and explained why service might take a little longer. These guys/gals have been great everytime I take a car/truck to them. They are..hold on..HONEST. Plus they seem to know what they are talking about. They will tell me whether or not it's worth it to repair ( I have 5 vehicles) based on the vehicle. They are always consultative and search out any parts you need. They position themselves against the "dealer shops"and I can honestly say that Brakes Plus has the dealer shops beat by a mile..or two. Oh..they are also fast.

Will not go there again. They advertise $99 per axle. Then say rotors are bad and tack on $250. They should take you back and show you the rotors. Now they say I could have made them show me said rotors. I guess insurance will let you go there with them, but they should offer. Another thing I was told was they can resurface rotors, but wasn't offered the option, at the time. That's like parts and labor at $200 per hour and probably pay the mechanic only $20.
