If you are looking for an auto repair shop that is straightforward and honest, Sal's Auto services is where you want to go. A huge factor for me in choosing an auto repair shop is how I'm treated as a customer. I came in, told them what was going on, they looked at my car, and I was given an estimate up front. Phil explained to me what was going on and what he recommended I have done first. Also, when he was finished with the work on my car, he showed me the bad parts which was actually very refreshing. It was nice to be physically shown the parts which were causing my car's issues. This was wonderful and very pleasant service. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend this repair shop.

This place is very helpful. I come in for oil changes frequently and they have pointed out other things that need to be repaired on my car that I didn’t know about. Been coming here since I moved to Oklahoma(3 years) literally the most honest, caring, and knowledgeable service center I've ever been to. The customer service is the best and even though they are busy every time I go there, it's always a welcoming environment. They always tell you exactly what's wrong, explains everything, and know exactly what they are doing. I couldn't say enough good things, especially the fact they don't try to overcharge and make up stuff to get more out of you. I will stay loyal to this place forever. I drive from Norman to get serviced by them. Definitely go check them out, especially if you have a high end car, their auto dealership and auto service shop is by far the best of the best.

Lifesavers! Our radiator blew while in from out of town. I thought we would be stranded into the next week. Our car got to them after hours on Friday and by Saturday at 1 pm, they had our car ready to go. They were great on price and did not take advantage of our situation. Highly recommend.

I think this place is great. Been here several times for my vehicle and am now taking my fiance's vehicle here. After reading the negative reviews on here, I felt like adding something. I worked as a mechanic for 7+ years myself and I usually have a good idea of what is wrong...however, unless I'm going to do the diagnostic work myself, I'll leave it to the mechanic I'm paying to figure out what's wrong FOR SURE and to do what ACTUALLY needs to be done. Sure, tell them what you THINK and even what other places told you, but don't tell them what is wrong or what to replace, that's their job to figure out. Also, this place isn't a chain so you shouldn't have the same expectations going here as you would if you went to a chain. If you want a place that will learn who YOU are, be friendly and tell you what you actually NEED done, then I recommend sal's. They'll give you the best estimate they can and get you taken care of as quickly as they can, but remember, it's just an estimate. I've actually paid less than their original estimate twice, paid the exact estimate twice, and its cost me more once. Lastly, this is the first place I've gone in my LIFE (I'm 40) that will allow me to bring them parts I've already obtained.

I was in town for a funeral. Drove in late Friday night and my car started having issues that seemed like the transmission around 3am. Took me until 10am to get it to Sal's. They were open on a Saturday, took me as a walk in, got the parts for my 08 Eos and fixed it for less than 300. Turns out it wasn't the transmission at all, it was an ignition coil. I was on my way a couple of hours later. Highly recommend!

First they are not cheap. Second, in most cases, you have to go back after they finish an expensive job. I got an engine check and they said they replaced a valve for $180.Next day, the light came back on and I went back.. i decided to wait there for 2 hours till they replaced/repaired the new valve. Previously they charged $500 for an oil leak which continued. On returning and showing them leak, they said it was from another place and not where it first leaked.🙄

FINAL EDIT: You have to read the previous edit and the original negative review from a year ago below that for any of this edit to make sense. But I believe people should be treated fairly and that would and should include small businesses. I have upped my final rating to 4 stars only because Sals did the work they said they would and we got what we were expecting to get. I had unreasonable expectations a year ago and it was unfair of me to blame that on them. I still feel that they could work on their customer service a little bit, but as far as getting the work done that needs done they are solidly 4 star. 2020 edit: It has been about a year since I wrote the negative review below. I was never happy with how that whole situation went down mostly because we had done business with Sals before and had nothing but good things to say about them. I have worried for some time that I may have spoken too harshly about what might have been a misunderstanding rather than what I thought at the time: a blatant money grab. It has taken all this time to save up money to get the stupid AC fixed and when we finally had it together I wanted to take it to Sals even though I was so disappointed before. I finally decided to call them and discuss the whole matter. They were very gracious and responsive to my concerns, so I made the decision to go back there and try to rebuild the relationship. They were so very gracious that I am upping my review to 3 stars. I hope to do a final edit here and rank them even higher. Here is my experience. They charged my wife $90 to diagnose an AC problem in our truck. They told her we needed to replace the condensor and that if we let them do the work they would deduct the $90 from the total. Couple days later they call me with their quote and deny ever saying anything about deducting the $90. Fine. My wife is miserable from the heat so whatever. We take the truck in this morning and my wife goes to pick it up this evening after work. These people take $250 from her and then explain that the AC still doesn't work, it needs a new compressor too. Approximately another $700. Oh, but they'll deduct the $250 from the total if we let them do the work. For $90 I feel like they should have checked the entire AC system and told us at that time the compressor was bad too. Instead they waited until they had our money for the condensor, knowing full well that our expectation was that we would have an AC system that worked. Enjoy that $350 Sal's.

We were in OKC for the weekend and our radiator blew on Friday evening on the highway. All the shops were closed, so we couldn’t call anybody to verify they would be able to work on our SUV. Many of the shops were not even open on the weekend, but Sal’s was. I drive a Toyota and not everyone works on imports either. I was however, able to reach one of the employees on Friday evening (after they were closed) through Facebook Messenger. They assured me that they did indeed work on Toyota and would be able to replace the radiator. He also said he would work hard for me to get it back to me this weekend because he knew I was from out of town and leaving on Sunday. So we ended up having the car towed to Sal’s and keys were left in the overnight box. I spoke with them at 9:00 am the next morning and they said they would diagnose the issue ASAP. Got a call 20 minutes later and said they could have the radiator replaced by 1pm that day. I was blown away. These people were treating me so well and they knew I probably would not be a repeat customer because I didn’t live in OKC. True to their word, it was ready before 1pm and for a very fair price. I fully expected to for them to overcharge for the labor because I was from out of State, but they didn’t. Had a great conversation with them before picking it up and they said they believe in honesty and they do try to treat their customers right. When my wife went to finally pick up our car and pay, they showed her the old radiator and how hit had a big hole in it. I love the transparency. Can’t say enough about how well we were taken care of by Sal’s Auto Service.

I've been coming to Sal's for a few years now. I bought a 2017 BMW last year and every time I need anything at all I call Andrew and he ALWAYS gives me a much better deal than anywhere else! I am wary of taking my car to just anyone but the staff at Sal's deals with all kinds of cars including luxury brands. They know what they're doing and this is the first shop I've ever been able to fully trust. Plus there is no bs, no trying to sell you extra stuff, no keeping your car longer than needed. I saw another review that said they are just "part changers" and I have to respectfully disagree. They have gone above and beyond for me and my family. My mother in law has an old van she uses to clean carpets and they fixed it up after hours to get her back to work ASAP. I send my loved ones to Sal's because I know they will take good care of them. Other shops should learn a thing or two!

Ive taken my car into Sals many times and they have always been great. The first time I had an older Mazda pickup that a buddy of mine couldnt seem to figure out what the problem was after we did timing chain work on it. We took it to Sals and they found the problem within 20 mins. Just some old vacuum hoses! I then brought in my VW Beetle this week to see why it was pulling. There had apparently been some damage done to the sub frame but nothing that couldn't be repaired. They had me in and out on my lunch break! 5 stars! Great guys and great service!
