I dread car repair/maintenance as I usually feel like they see me coming and try to sell me a much needed muffler bearing or something to that effect. John and his team are the best. The communication, price, and time to diagnose and repair was flawless. I’m thrilled that I found him. Finding someone to work on Mercedes Sprinter that isn’t the dealership was a lot harder than I anticipated. I have found John so all is good now. Thank you for being a good and honest company. Very knowledgeable and reasonable guy. He rebuilt my transmission for my 1997 Tahoe. He asked me questions most people wouldn't, like "what is the vehicle used for, is it a daily driver, why do you want this or that, are you wanting to do upgrades on it in the future, what upgrades, why do you want those upgrades etc", he guided me to what I needed and made me think about the future of my vehicle because I want it to last another 15yrs+. We were having transmission problems in our Ford Transit van and we took our van to another mechanic who charged us over $1,000 and it didn’t fix the problem. I had experienced quite the stressful week with a check engine light flashing on and off accompanied by acceleration issues throughout a 1600 mile road trip with a toddler on board. After dropping my car off with John, I received a phone call just a couple of hours later letting me know that it was unfortunately a computer related issue that only a dealership would be able to repair. He was able to pinpoint the exact issue, very kindly didn’t even charge me for his time at pickup, and gained a life long customer. Thanks so much!

John and his group the definition of a "straight shooter". Had my transmission rebuilt at another shop that used the wrong torque converter.. 2 thousand miles later, the transmission was overheating. I took it to John and he did all the work under warranty, replacing the torque converter with the correct one. Would highly recommend you taking your vehicle here for any transmission issues.

This was the best service and experience I have had with a mechanic. John was very up front and honest about everything with my truck. He informed me in detail about everything that was going on with the engine lights. He did not try to just charge me for things because I didn’t know because I’m not a mechanic. My family and I purchased a 2006 Nissan Armada on 03/22/21 from auto solutions and they rigged the transmission to run to fool someone into purchasing it and well we were the fools, two days after driving it the check engine light comes on so I take it to get the code read. It turns out that it was the catalytic converter so I google shops and come across champion muffler. I go there he reads the code doesn't understand one does some research asks around and the next day he tells me it's the code for the transmission and we kinda of new since the vehicle was over heating and wouldn't go past 20. So champion muffler recommended fleet and when I met John I could feel what a great person he was. The way he talked to me the way he explained everything he was going to do to fix my vehicle was awesome. It took a month to get it fixed but I trusted only him and his shop to fix it. They worked on my vehicle non stop to figure out how to rebuild the transmission and getting it back to us. So far it drives amazing way better than when we first got it. It was pricey but you can't put a price on great quality. I was scared to get scammed again but everytime I was nervous or asked so many question John always had patience with me talked me through the process and made me feel more at ease. Fleet is my go to now for any of my vehicles and I'll recommend him to family and friends. Thank you John and FLEET for repairing our vehicle.

While driving my Sonata from St Louis to Oklahoma, the air conditioner went out when the outside temperature was about 98 degrees. We drove the last 70 miles without A/C, so our first priority the next morning in OKC was to get the A/C fixed. I looked over the auto service reviews near our son's downtown apartment and Fleet Transmissions had very good reviews, so I called around 8 AM and spoke with John, the owner. John said to bring the car on by and he would check it over. I was hoping it was a minor issue, but unfortunately after checking the possible problems, John found that the A/C compressor had blown, so we agreed we definitely needed to fix it. John immediately called a couple of places and found one where he could get the compressor. Although, the prices of the compressor and evaporator were more than I was expecting since I had not purchased either in many years, John did a great job of getting the parts quickly and completing the task within about three to four hours. My wife and I were very satisfied with John's willingness and his very pleasant attitude to do this job himself and get us back on the road quickly. Thank you John, we drove the car back to St Louis and the A/C worked great.

The owner was very nice and welcoming, he called me that same day to let me know what was the problem, which was I needed all my mounts to be replace. Like anything else it was costly to fix but it was the professionalism and getting bit done in a timely matter for me. My car is running so good since they fixed it. I used fleet a year ago for a total re-build of my 4 Runner transmission and it is working fantastic. I recently has a battery issue with my 2014 F150 that caused my transmission computer to get out of sync. After calling John and telling him what was going on he very quickly told me that it was most likely a computer issue and that he would be at the shop all day if I needed him. I went ahead and took my vehicle in for him to look at. He and his guys spent about 10 minutes checking the computer and after doing a reset everything worked like new. John would not except any money for this service and said "We are all good"! Wow....!!! How often do you hear that. John and his staff are fantastic and I would highly recommend them for all transmission work!

I was told by two other car mechanics (the corporate ones) that my car needed a new transmission. I got a 3rd opinion from John at Fleet Auto. I was super impressed with his knowledge and HONESTY. He did a thorough diagnosis and found out it was actually an engine issue, which cost a small fraction of what I was being incorrectly sold on. He also worked with my schedule and was very fast. John and his team are consummate professionals, that really do listen to the customer and try very hard to meet their expectation. Something that is becoming harder and harder to find these days. This is my first real experience with Fleet Transmission and the job they were entrusted with, was not easy, nor was it cheap. This particular job, was retrofitting a modern 4L80E Transmission, into a 49 year old Truck. I had called several well know Transmission shop to inquire about the cost of doing this conversion. What was frustrating, is the others shops could not, or were very hesitant to give me a solid all inclusive quote for the job. I had heard about Fleet Transmissions, so I gave them a call. After talking with John about what I wanted to do, he not only gave me suggestions on the best transmission to use for my application, he also gave me a quote for doing the retrofit. He stuck to that quote. What impressed me the most was the open and honest communication about all aspects of the job. The owner was more than willing to take the time to show me and walk me through each aspect as they progressed with the retrofit. The owner was more than willing to answer any questions I had and kept me informed on the progress being made, including any issues they ran into. It is more than apparent the team at Fleet Transmissions, understands the importance of customer service, they just don't talk about it, they demonstrate it. For those who have had bad experiences with other automotive repair shops and want to deal with an honest business and owner, Fleet Transmission should be high on your list for consideration. The shop offers far more than just transmission work and can handle just about any automotive repair need you may have, from front to back and everything in between. They are "good people" who came HIGHLY recommended by another local auto shop who did not specialize in Transmissions, who trusted Fleet to "not take advantage of a lady customer."
