I leased a Subaru Forester for a second time at Bay Ridge Subaru. Andre is a wonderful salesperson, so knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and always patient in answering questions and providing a positive experience from beginning to end. I highly recommend speaking with him if you have questions about the different vehicles and options! He understood what we wanted and we love our new Forester. He worked with us last time we leased a Subaru and we insisted on working with Andre again! He made sure we were happy with our car. Michael helped us to finalize our lease details, and likewise was very patient, professional, courteous, and understanding of our needs and concerns. He took the time to work with our family to get the car we wanted. He was also very personable and helped us to make a great deal so we will be back in 3 years! Bay Ridge Subaru is the best!

They did an oil change, the annual New York State inspection, and repaired a wiring issue with the airbag light. Work was done well as usual and completed when promised. Robinson was friendly and helpful and kept me advised as to when work would be done. Bay Ridge Subaru sold me this Forester car 19 years ago and has kept it running smoothly all that time. They have also been good about not pushing for unnecessary extra work. They have also upgraded their waiting area for customers so that it is clean and pleasant if you choose to wait for work to be done.

I had an issue with the STARLINK app not remotely starting the car( 2022 Subaru Forester Touring).
I took it to another dealer in Queens and they wanted me to leave the car overnight. They were not providing me with transportation and I live in Brooklyn.
The folks at Bay Ridge Subaru had the issue resolved promptly.
I will recommend this dealership 100%.

I came here to replace my broken windshield because this is one of the Subaru Service locations in the tri-states area, that can actually order your windshields, install and recalibrate your vehicle's Eye Sight for you (as previously I'd tried to call six other Subaru Service locations with only a response of: "We don't do windshield replacement at this location"). Here was my rundown: Day 1 parts was ordered, Day 2 parts came in and my appointment was set-up for the next day, Day 3 arrived to my appointment time and got my vehicle back by the end of day. Thank you Mr. Robinson R. for checking me in and out. All the staffs here are efficient and excellent! This is the place to go to!

Love the express oil change. If you get here within an hour of opening you’re out in 90 minutes or less. Great waiting room. Plenty of seating and outlets for your devices, clean bathrooms. Staff is helpful.

Had a recall taken care of. Dropped off the car they said they will start in about half an hour and it takes about two hours. I didn't wait went along with my day an hour and a half later I get a text that the car is ready.

I took my car in for the routine 6 months oil change and service check. I was greeted immediately by a staff. He told me the service will take about 2 hours. It took about 2 hours before my car was ready. The timing was pretty accurate. The waiting area was clean and comfortable. It has a coffee machine and a few granola bars to keep us awake. All went well and the engine runs smooth as silk and the car still runs like new with 86K miles. Sales staff have been very straightforward with their advice each time we bought a new Subaru model, and addressed any issues promptly and without any hassles.
Service staff have always been equally straightforward and dealt with the (mercifully few) repairs we've needed in a timely manner. I return to the Subaru dealership even for routine issues like inspections and oil changes because I trust them to know the car and be on top of any repairs that may be covered by warranty.

I was most happy that Bay Ridge was able to accomodate me with a service appointment almost immediately. Thi issue was a computer problem casusing my screen to die, something not easy to solve. While i waited, the problem was resolved in about an hour and a half. It turned out that the software just needed an update. I am very glad that Bay Ridge took immediate care of my problem, but very annoyed at Subaru becasue I don't understand why the need for an update would cause my screen to malfuntion in the first place. Subaru, do you hear this? Fix your design!

While driving to work on Friday September 16th, my dashboard lit up with numerous warning lights including check engine, eye sight, traction control and a few others.I was shocked and concerned as the car has less then 25 thousand miles on it and I service the car every 6 months. I called to make an appoitment when I arrived at work and was informed that Friday September 23rd at 7:30 would be the earliest service appointment. Brought my 2020 Outback for Recall service (Transmission issue). Was determined that I needed the part replacement. However, they did NOT have the needed parts. Since the parts were not expected for a few weeks, I was provided with a loaner vehicle. While I prefer my own car, since it has Turbo among other features, the loaner was brand new (less than 5,000 miles) and was a essential for me to make my necessary travels.

Tire pressure light was on. I was given an appointment for the same day when I called. Mark was my service advisor. He kept me informed on the progress of the tire repair. Marked explained that the tire had to be replaced and that they were waiting for approval from the insurance company. Marc, the service manager and his team of technicians serviced my vehicle as the manufacturer outlined. I came in to have additional services, services not covered under warranty, with an out of pocket cost, but was told, you don't need it at this point. Many dealers could perform a service regardless of whether you need it or not, but Marc and his team always do right by me. It's integrity that matters most. They aren't the closest Subaru dealer to me, but treat me right, and for those reasons, I'll make the longer drive to them.

I've come here twice for routine maintenance (including oil changes), and once for a CVT programming recall, the most recent of which was my 12-month service a few days ago.
The staff is friendly, although the process of initiating the service appointment was a bit mystifying the first two times I came (and that was partially due to COVID procedures). Waiting room facilities are great. My car has driven fine after each service. The only reason I knocked off a star is because the wait times are completely unpredictable. My first maintenance schedule service took about 90 minutes, the recall, which the manufacturer listed as a 20 minute procedure, took 3 hours (and they loaded into my paperwork an arrival time that was two hours off from when I came), and my second service took about 90 minutes again. All three were done with appointments in place. I will still continue to go here, the convenience is unbeatable and the service itself is mechanically sound, I just know now not to schedule anything until much later on in the day.

We can not praise enough the great service we got last week at Bay Ridge Subaru. We were away from home (Pennsylvania), and found ourselves in need to replace a tire (badly damaged in the middle of the Verrazano). It was past 8 pm and the dealership was closed. Luckily the manager was in. Not only did they open the place to leave our car overnight, but they also offered a loner for us to drive back home. The tire repair cost was very reasonable and for the loaner they charged us only one day of the two it took us to retrieve the car.

Usually service here is pleasant, but not lately. I bought a hundred dollar bumper guard and asked a service advisor I know (this is my second lease here) if somebody could help me put it on or make sure it was put on properly and he said, "Sure, for ninety dollars." I came in for the complimentary oil change recently and another service advisor (yet another new one) suggested at 14,000 miles my car would need a tire rotation and might need a cabin filter. She would let me know about the cabin filter. Okay, I said. I waited for two hours, but then was presented only with the bill: $140. For what? Cabin filter, tire rotation--and a fuel treatment. What fuel treatment? You approved it. I did not. And in two hours that I sat there I was not told any of what I needed and how much it would cost--if I approved it. My regular gas station mechanic does that much. Not a way for an otherwise professional service department to operate.

Update 2: I went in for an engine light problem. Marc & Andrew went above and beyond. Everything is fixed in 1 day. I really appreciate all of their help. They were very attentive and courteous.
Update 1: I spoke to Andrew, he was kind enough to listen and address my issue. I have another appointment on Thursday for another issue and hopefully I will get an answer. I'm not giving anyone a difficult time or asking for magic here. I just want to know what's wrong with my vehicle and how to resolve the issue. Although Andrew wasn't so pleased about the review, I am just sharing my honest experience and stated I did not address it with them first. I did in 2022 (twice) and just not gotten any answers. Hopefully now that the manager is involved I will get an answer regardless whether it's the battery or something else that cause stalling. I really want to build a great relationship with them because they were great to work when I first walked in 2019.
I lease my vehicle from them. This is my 3rd Subaru. There are several things wrong with my Subaru. My auto start stop and AVH also stalls my vehicle at times. 2 times on the highway, and 3 times on local streets. I brought it in and they say it's my dash cam taking too much power. PS: family have 3 of the same brand and model of dash cash not causing any problems.

I have had a new car for four months. It was very cold during Christmas. My car wouldn't start because the battery was dead. I had to jump start. The car would start. After one night, the car battery was dead. I can't start the car for several days. I need to jump start. I made an appointment to check at the dealership on Saturday morning. It took three hours to wait. They checked. Recharged the battery. They said the battery was fine. They couldn't replace it with a new one. But the car couldn't start the next morning. I had to drive the car to the garage again on Monday morning. It was a waste of time.

Technicians should be extra careful when working on rotating wheels. They have to be careful with the hoops. When working with the ones on my car, they gave them a peel that can lead to mold.
