Fun guy, and they do good honest work. I brought it in for something in the suspension/steering making noise. They found the issue and fixed it for a very reasonable price. Nghia is everything you want in a car expert, and more. Honest, efficient, committed, and hilarious. I learned about him through a gentleman who drove the same car as me. I asked him who worked on it, and he said Nghia is the man. Well, he was absolutely right. Took my bmw in for a number of issues and it was done in one day. Recently I had to take my mercedes in the other day for A/C issues .. he literally had it done in 1 hour. You can’t ask for a better experience. Don’t waste his time, trust his team, and give the thumbs up on the work. Don’t screw around. Nghia doesn’t screw around.

Whent in today (4/18/17) for the first time to replace my brake pads and rotors, price was better and expected. Nghia likes to joke alot but knows when to be professional. Do not get offended by his slightly sextist of racist jokes, they are only jokes. Would recommend. Last note, he chargers $5 for entertainment (not really.)

Nghia's is the best mechanic in the area. Honest guy who charges significantly less then anyone else I've found. He's done everything for me from a full engine replacement to brakes. I originally went with these guys because of the high google ratings, They diagnosed the issue with my car and told me which parts I need. I ended up buying the parts myself and bringing it to them to save some money. They only charged me for the labor which was much much less than I expected and done within a day. I saved soo much compared to what I was quoted by bobby and steves. Thank you guys very much!

First of all, Nghia is very friendly and genuinely hilarious. Although this was my first time using his autoshop, other local regulars were all on a first name basis with him. He had me cracking up on the phone and when I dropped my car off. I've taken my Honda to a local dealership twice now (and spent over $400) to not have the problems with my car fixed. I brought it into Nghia and he took care of my car for less than half what the Honda dealership wanted to finish the repairs on my car. He also did the repairs in one trip instead of the 3+ I'd have had to make if I continued to bring my car to the dealership. I couldn't recommend Nghia's enough!

Usually I do my own work on my vehicles, but if I'm stuck on something or don't have the time or tools, I bring it here. Super satisfied with customer service and experience to get the job done. As long as you are: 1. Somewhat knowledgeable about how cars and mechanic shops work 2. Reasonable 3. Honest 4. Treat Nghia with respect, as you should, as I would assume you are an adult. I have been here five times now, for my car and my daughters'. Everything has been fixed completely and properly. Work was done on time. One time it took overnight to receive a part, and he let me know well in advance. He's never tried to upsell me anything I didn't need. If you live North or Northeast, or the surrounding areas of Crystal, Brooklyn Center, Columbia Heights and need auto work, go here first. If he can't help you, he will tell you.

I had a wheel bearing (hub assembly) replaced by Nghia's Auto. I was quoted $700 at Firestone. Nghia did it for $400. Turn around was only a few days. They're busy right now but they still get the work done. Support this shop! The mechanics work hard, Nghia is a real human with real auto skills. He will take care of you. But first, you have to take care of yourself.

Nghia is a master mechanic, and an amazing person. This was my first time bringing my car to him, and he did quality work with the cheapest price in town. My wife recommended Nghia's to me (her and her whole family has been going to his shop for 15+ years), telling me that he was the best, and she was 100% right. If you need anything fixed, you take it to Nghia's. You won't be disappointed. He is also very funny! UPDATE: Just brought in our 2008 Saturn Aura to fix the intermediate drive shaft that some other repair place said needed fixing. That place quoted $600. Nghia's price? $200. So, I brought it in. He test drove it, and said that it was fine and didn't need to be replaced! Even if it's a little out of your way, you should come to his shop for any repairs.

Can’t beat the prices here! I’ve gotten in either the same day or next day. It does need better organization and customer service however. Nghia is a great guy, but I think having an assistant or receptionist to handle all the people coming in and out would benefit his business greatly. I’ve also had to wait an additional 30 minutes because some work on my vehicles were forgotten about twice. If you’re gonna bring your car here, don’t expect a phone call back about your vehicle. He says he’ll call you back, but he most likely forgets because he’s a busy man. Make sure that YOU call him. Like I said, better organization will greatly help his business. I will definitely go back to him for his great prices and honest work.

Nghia saved me a lot of money and headaches. I bought new used honda truck from the Mitsubishi dealership in Burnsville (no longer in business) and asked him to inspect it and do some extra work on it. He found so much rust underneath the vehicle that he recommended me to go back to the dealership and get my money back or get a trade. He didnt charge me for anything. I went to the dealership and demanded they refund me or replace the vehicle. I was able to get a replacement but almost didn't. If it wasnt for Nghia, I'd be suffering much more. That year was a tough year for me too. Thank God for Nghia. This man is a GOOD man. The best mechanic I have ever met. I only trust him with complicated vehicle work.

So, I bought a catalytic converter cover to be installed since it's such a high theft item. I called Toyota for a quote and they quote me, hear this, 10x more than what Nghia charged me. I'm not exaggerated. LITERALLY TEN TIMES. After calling Toyota for a quote, I decided to take my car to Nghia's since it's way closer to my house than a Toyota service shop. I expected to pay what Toyota quoted me and wasn't expecting it to be any cheaper. I couldn't believe it when Nghia told me the cost after the work was done. Again, it was TEN TIMES less than Toyota's quote. Unreal. Warning though, there are a lot of race jokes happening in the shop. I was super uncomfortable and could just see all the awkward laughs from other people, including me, not knowing what to do. I made a few comments about it, but felt like it was brushed off like I'm the one didnt' know how to have fun. Just prepare yourself for it. Aside from that, service was amazing, price is unreal cheap.

After desperately searching for a mechanic for a few weeks I was recommended to Nghia via a street mechanic. I called and told him my issue and he gave me a quote. I went to his shop the next day only to be disappointed because he had a sign stating that he couldn't take anymore vehicles. He agreed to do the work but he said that my truck would have to stay 3 days. The next afternoon my vehicle was ready and it wasn't what I was told it was via the dealership diagnostic check. He fixed my truck and more importantly he stands behind his work. I had several issues wrong and he even offered to do it at a discounted price. This man is fair, reliable and a true vehicle Angel. I will definitely be back in the future even for something as simple as an oil change.

I think I got a bad first impression. I took my truck to Nghia's for a bad front wheel bearing. He has very competitive pricing and he's a mile from my house. Unfortunately when I got there he was dealing with a shady customer and there were cars filling his lot and the street out front so I got an initial bad feeling about what I was about to get myself into. After the shady customer left, I started to see the happy funny guy that everyone talks about. We very quickly went over the job and then I was on my way. I'm the type of person that needs to see something in writing and go over it to make sure I'm not missing anything. That didn't happen in this case so I left with a little bit of dread. He called 5 hours later and said it was done and only charged me what he quoted on the phone. I initially gave him a great opportunity to screw me over by suggesting he look at other possible problems so I am grateful for his honesty and only fixing what needed to be fixed. I trust Nghia and his work. I think next time I would call ahead, though, and see how busy he is and maybe see if there is room in his lot.

Brought my Hyundai in after I swapped out my battery and the engine started acting goofy. I brought it in for that issue + oil change. I was expecting that I had some severe underlying issue that had finally popped up and I know that they had to diagnose and do some other work on my vehicle to reset the idle timing of my engine. Did he rip me off with a lengthy list of surcharges? No, he charged for the oil change and sent me on my way. No lengthy explanations, just straight and to the point. This guy doesn't have time to coddle you, he has a job to do and he does it fairly.

Nghia's provides the service I've been dreaming about! After struggling with my rotors and pads for years after substandard service at a big-chain competitor, I finally took it in to Nghia's and an hour later I drove out worry free and without the scraping sound that had plagued my car since the original work was done. I was able to call in the morning, bring my car in an hour later, and leave with it less that an hour after that. Amazing. Nghia is hilarious, kind, and offers prompt service at an unbeatable price. The love he has for his customers is obvious, and the love they have for him is just as clear. This is the auto repair you've been searching for. I used to work with a limo company that took their Lincoln Town Cars to Nghia's. Often I took them there. Amazing service, prices. Got electrical work (always the nastiest it seems) done efficiently at ridiculously low prices. I have taken my own car there now, it's amazing how many nuances he knows about different types of cars. No appointments with Nghia's! You either wait or drop the car off, which is no big deal. Grateful to have a great mechanic in the Cities.

I went to Nghia's and was so happy- they fixed my vehicle with such quality, affordable price and with very warm professional services. They delivered when they said they would. I've had too many positive experiences with Nghia to not share some google love. Off the top of my head, Nghia has replaced my alternator and battery, done an oil change and transmission flush, and done some work on my transmission. If I wanted to gripe, I'd say that he doesn't take appointments, but it seems like if you leave your vehicle with Nghia in the morning, he'll frequently get to it before he closes for the day. It's worth being on the bus for a day to get your car fixed by Nghia! Most recently, my car wouldn't start. I tried jumping it with a neighbor, but it wouldn't take a jump. I assumed it was the battery or alternator again, since it's been a few years since they've been replaced. I walked over to Nghia and described what I was experiencing (the "clicking" noise when I try to turn the engine), and he said "not the alternator. The battery." Nghia even offered to loan me out jumper cables to get the car up to him before I told him we had tried jumping it already. Anyway, I have another neighbor who fortunately has cables and we were able to tow it up a few blocks to Nghia's. The day after I dropped it off, I stopped by and Nghia said "Your car's ready." Perfect. Come to find out, they had got it started without replacing anything (I don't know anything about cars, but maybe something in the fuel lines?) Well, Nghia got it started, charged the alternator and battery, and didn't charge me a dime for any of it. Nghia is honest, hardworking and kind. I know that with car trouble, most people are looking for the closest available option to tow to, but if you have any option of "shopping around," I'd recommend ALWAYS taking your vehicle to Nghia, no matter where you are. Can't reccomend Nghia enough, my family has gone to him ever since I was a kid. I recently needed a control arm replaced, and he did it for about half of what some of the chain-stores estimated. There's sadly a lot of mechanics out there who will shamelessly charge you for 2 hours of labor for a quick fix, and Nghia ain't one of them.

I went to Nghia's because Aamco was supposed to do a diagnostic test on my car which ended up being a checklist on a piece of paper, there was no print out. Aamco told me I need a crankshaft sensor but when I brought it to Nghia he checked it out and said I don't need that. He could have easily charged me for that sensor and labor but instead because he is so HONEST he told me I didn't need it and he didn't charge me anything. I am so very grateful to him with all my heart , I am so grateful! I am a 65 year old woman who could have easily been taken advantage of. Basically, Nghia is the superman of mechanics. He has a sign on the wall that says "Good, fast, cheap - choose 2." Good - I've never had any complaints about his work, and he has noticed things that a previous mechanic overlooked or misdiagnosed. Cheap - More than reasonable. Seriously. One time a major repair was literally half of what a chain had quoted me. Fast - He's a popular dude with a smallish garage, so sometimes you do have to wait your turn. Never fear, he keeps the waiting room entertained with highly colorful stories, and his skill and prices are well worth it. Also, one time he fixed a power drain, and then wouldn't let me pay because he wasn't sure it was the only thing draining it, and told me to come back if it started the next day. It did, so I came, and he charged me an hour's labor. Anyway...Nothing but good things to say about him, seriously.

My mother found this shop and brought the family 05 AWD Ford Escape here for an alternator and belt replacement. Other shops wanted 2 to 5 days to fix Nghia's did it in 1 day and was by far the best price! He was so fast when she called to check on the vehicle we found out she'd missed his call and it was already done. His towing refferal was also super fast and very affordable. I've driven it all around town from Eden Prairie to Edina, South Minneapolis, St. Paul then back to the north side and It runs like a dream. Before the replacement the A/C and stero system went out and now everything is back and working even better than before. I will be back for a tire rod alignment next month and would highly reccomend this place!

This guy is amazing! We have been going to Nghia for as many years as he has been at his current location. Clutch, bearings, bushings, axels, oil changes and all in between. He even did an AC compressor bearing on one of our cars while working on something else for free! He is almost always joking and in a good mood. Prices have always been less than of any of other shops that I call. He is always my first call and I have yet to go to anyone else since he became that first call. Prices are unbelievable. Only critical note: He could hire a intake/output front desk person but I would miss interacting with him when the opportunity arises. I've brought my car in a couple of times for standard check-ups and oil changes, but the real five stars comes from going above and beyond. I live just down the block and found my car was dead while in the midst of the polar vortex. Worse, I had to pick up my daughter from daycare. No neighbors in sight and a couple of refusals from people sitting in idling vehicles had me running to Nghia's to see if they could help get me jumped. Nghia handed me their portable jumper and told me to bring it back as soon as I could. Huge help in my time of need.

5 stars for honesty. I came in with a car that made a lot of noises, assuming that it was the wheel bearing. I called and he quoted that the wheel bearing needs to be replace. The price was 300 for the wheel bearing and 60 for the alignment. I am a broke student, but i have to bite the dust and ok with the fix. ended up the bolts were loose and everything came up to be 120 dollars. Honestly, if he would have lied about the wheel bearing replacement, I wouldn't know. Thank you.

Took my oldsmobile into his shop a couple months ago, i thought i needed something fixed that required a 150 dollar part plus labor. When i dropped my car off i asked if he could install the part i needed, and instead, I get a phone call saying he didnt need the part and to come in to the shop.
