My oil filter cap cracked on a Friday night leaving work draining all the oil from my car. They were open on a Saturday for me to tow it to them and have them look at it on Monday. They were able to get the part and get it repaired the same day. I appreciate their communication and constantly keeping me in the loop as to the progress and the prognosis. The price was fair for the service performed.

Customer service was great, the quality – not so much. 2 issues, one of which was a real major failure on their part on quality check that could have led to a safety issue. Issue #1 – they didn’t do a thorough leak check. I recently took my Honda in because the AC kept going out. They initially did the leak check with the dye and said they couldn’t find anything and that everything seems to be working fine. I reiterated my concern that this was the 3rd time recharging it in the last few months, so there must be a leak somewhere for it to be out that fast. Service advisor asked if the vehicle had rear AC control, which it does, so they kept it for another day to run the leak check for the rear part of the AC. Turns out there was a leak. I’m sure this must be a common thing in a lot of vehicles, why wouldn’t they perform the full leak check on all parts of the AC the first time around? Issue #2! Axle nut came off. See pictures. My CV Axle was damaged, and I decided to get that issue fixed with this AC issue visit. When I came back to the shop (this is the third trip now) to pick up my vehicle the paperwork said the AC hose was replaced and the CV axle assembly was replaced, and they test drove the car. I then took the car to pick up my daughter, took 35W for about 30 miles – didn’t seem to have an issue. Got to my destination, picked her up and started the car again. There was a loud screeching sound and random ringing. Had my mechanically inclined brother take a look. He took off the wheel and the fricken axle nut fell out! The axle nut was not even properly installed! There was barely an indent on it. Definitely did not drive my child home with that car. Back to the shop we go again. On my 4th visit with them to drop off my car for them to do a full inspection to make sure there were no more issues, they apologized, gave me the spiel of 9/10 this never happens. Sorry, but this is 2 quality issues on one vehicle already. And the fact that I was going to pick up my child with it! That was what concerned me the most! 5 trips later I can assure you the 5th was my last. Wasted my time. They could have put the safety of my family at risk because of the lack of quality they put into their work. I would understand if it was a one off on a vehicle, but 2 quality issues during the same visit on one vehicle? No thank you. Update: Although I was disappointed on the work they did on my vehicle, I do have to commend their customer service. The service advisor, store manager and owner reached out to see how they could rectify the issue. They were quick to respond, professional and respectful which is hard to find in a lot of places these days.

Oil change and inspection. They got me in quickly and got me out even faster Gave me a detailed checklist of everything they inspected which was greatly appreciated. In addition, they had sent me a letter that provided me credit toward my final invoice. Although I was A-day or 2 late applying this discount they honored it anyway I highly recommend this business and especially especially Scott.

Our car would not start so it was towed to H1. Even after the battery replacement and a new starter it still would not turn over. It was discovered that a previous service at a different shop was done incorrectly resulting in significant engine damage. H1 Burnsville called that repair shop, explained the issues and got them to agree to honor their warranty.

Such an awesome shop, so glad I found them as they are the most informative and truly honest mechanics I’ve worked with. The key drop off is super helpful too since I work similar hours that the shop is open and tend to get there late. My Ford Fusion is at its end with 211,000+ miles and constant dash lights coming on now (sensor lights, engine lights, unnecessary oil lights, literally every type of light) Joe has been WONDERFUL to work with and help me get necessary info I needed to understand what’s going on with my car. Any repairs we did go through with were done so quick that it didn’t interfere with getting to work, etc. Any repairs we didn’t go through with (literally getting rid of the car in a matter of weeks) he helped me understand what to expect and safety concerns between now and then that helped me to make a more comfortable decision on my own!

Very impressed and satisfied with my recent truck repair (front brakes, oil change and alignment). Joe was excellent and kept me updated on the diagnostic and repair cost. The personnel here were very courteous and polite. I had a flat tire and even though I didn’t have an appointment, they pulled my car around and took a look at it. I was preparing to get a new tire but they were able to save me money by diagnosing the problem to the valve stem itself and not the tire. If you need to get your car looked at and maintenance done I would recommend this place

I have worked with Honest 1 Auto Care in Burnsville several times to repair and maintain my 2015 Ford Escape, and I have had a great experience every time. I've worked with several team members, most recently Joe- they're diagnostic documents are SO THOROUGH!!! I feel safe and confident being able ask questions (as someone who struggles to understand higher concepts in vehicle care) because of their helpful, positive, and detailed process and demeanor. And I can also reference the notes later, which is fantastic. I've been able to trust them to double check and fix other companies poor work- they were objective and constructive with the project which was impressive. This shop and it's team members are who my family will rely on for as long as they'll have us! I find their work is high quality, their prices are absolutely fair, the guys in the shop treat you kindly/ respectfully, and really support you in keeping your ride in good shape.

After a rough experience with the honest one in Eagan near Highway 77, I received a call asking for another shot from one of the shop owner/managers. I decided to try this location, and was pleasantly surprised! The pushy service I had received at the other shop was nowhere to be found, the waiting area was comfy and well stocked with things to keep the kids busy, and everyone I encounter was courteous and smiling! I didn't expect to write this review, but I will definitely consider bringing my business back here.

AMAZING! They are true to their name and they stand by their work. They provide photos of issues, provide a courtesy car for no fee if needed (just refill with gas) and if they have ever worked on your car they will have it towed to them for free. Of the repairs I have priced checked they have always had the lower price. I often get coupons to help with the repairs/maintenance I need. Major repairs suck but this company has really taken care of both of my vehicles so I can feel safe and confident driving older vehicles. Special shout out to Joe and the owner for always being great to work with!!

As a first time customer, I was impressed. Their communication process is top notch. Not only did they tell me what they did, they documented it and shared it with photographs. Their pricing is fair and they only do work that is needed, rather than what they can get away with like other places; my regular preventive maintenance schedule said to replace something and they explained why it was not yet needed. Easy to work with and honest, a rare combination now days. I WILL use their services again.

I was very impressed with Honest-1 and if I have future repair needs will absolutely be returning to this shop! They were able to take in my Mariner right away on Monday afternoon (1/3) and even gave me and my kids a free Lyft ride home so I didn't have to wait around for the diagnosis results. Communication from the shop was constant, via email, text, and phone, and very detailed - they sent photos of my car and the details of their inspections, and even photos of the techs working on my car, so I knew who was wrenching on my vehicle! They couldn't determine the source of the leaking coolant the same day I dropped it off but right away next morning I received an email/text with photos showing and explaining that I needed a new water pump and timing belt and fluid flush. I have needed few auto repairs done in my life so I cannot speak to whether or not their repair estimate was low or high but they allowed me to use a 10% off coupon on their website, which saved me $114 on my bill - THANK YOU!!! I received frequent updates on the status of my vehicle's repair and my vehicle was done on Wednesday (1/5), before the promised date of 1/6. I absolutely was not expecting my car to be done this quickly (everything seems to be slow these days with COVID and nobody working) and was quite pleased at this! The shop called me Wednesday afternoon to let me know it was finished (plus I received the emails and texts) and was again able to arrange a Lyft ride for me to bring me to the shop to collect my car. I don't drive much - yet - but I trust the repairs were done properly and I love knowing the shop offers a three year warranty on their work and free towing too - great perks! Everyone at the shop was friendly, the work was done fast, communication was excellent, and I have my car again. Thanks for the great service, Honest 1!!! **Update** A few days after the work was completed, a nice lady from the shop called to check in on me and gauge my satisfaction and ask if I had any concerns. I told her I still noticed leaking fluids but that I wasn't sure if it was coolant or from a known oil leak. She noted all this in her system and told me she would have someone contact me, and sure enough, Joe called me right away and was able to get me in promptly to have the shop check my car. I waited on site and it didn't take them long - they checked their work and found it was leaking oil, not coolant, so their work was solid. They even added dye to the oil so that I could come in down the road and have them check for the source of the leak. I have yet to return for this service but if and when I am ready to have it done, I will be returning to Honest-1! Awesome service and thanks again!!

Joe was incredibly friendly and kind, he had a good attitude and went above and beyond. Due to the work needed to be done on my car, they said it may take an extra day and go into Monday. I was really hoping to have my car back Saturday so I could get to work Monday, I called at 1pm to just check on it and to my surprise they had finished it earlier than expected! They were able to make it so I could get my car & get to work Monday, on such short notice of the repairs needed! Every person I interacted with greeted me with a smile and a positive attitude! My car was making a faint noise for quite some time. Then, suddenly, just as I was driving to work one morning making calls to address it, the noise got louder and excruciatingly louder. One of these calls was to Honest-1 Auto in Burnsville. This noise was so disturbing, I had my car towed there after work. Honest serviced my car and updated me the following day. I came in after work and they fixed this noise by simply removing a rusted particle. So they made this repair free of charge. I will have to pay for some other repairs. But I am grateful for the work and service Honest provided me Wednesday, as I've been able to drive my car in peace again since then. I'd like to thank Honest and particularly Tom, their service advisor. The service was great and the courtesy ride home was great. My vehicle check engine light was diagnosed as a bad thermostat. The cost to replace the thermostat, coolant flush, and the diagnostic test came to $600. This is definitely high. I priced the housing and thermostat out at Autozone nothing was over $50. He said we use OE parts yeah whatever $200 dollars for a thermostat is ridiculous. I will be looking elsewhere for service and calling the dealership to confirm the price for the thermostat. Norm

I had the best experience! Had my oil changed, tires rotated, headlight bulb changed, checked the heat, and after all that I unfortunately didn’t have enough, so they knocked off the headlight charge - that was incredibly nice of them! What a great experience. My Jeep decided it didn’t want to go into gear as I was at a gas station Christmas morning. Luckily I have AAA and they towed me to Honest 1 in Burnsville. With the Holiday weekend, I knew they wouldn’t even know it was there until Monday. Long story short, I had my Jeep back my Monday evening. Honest 1 did the repairs to get my vehicle back on the road, and suggested things that should be done based on mileage and performance, but not once were they pushy. I hand more done than I thought I would, but because of how awesome the process was, I didn’t hesitate. I even declined some of it, and they were honest in saying that it wasn’t an immediate need, but would have to be addressed eventually. Definitely would recommend and I’ll be back when my Jeep needs service again....which will be sooner than later I bet.

Was told needed rear rotors and brakes replaced. Took car to a different place to have this done as was cheaper. They said the rear rotors and brakes were fine but the front brakes needed to be changed out. We do go to Honest 1 often for oil changes and they do a great job. However, if anything else needs to be done the prices are usually higher than anywhere else.

My wife and young kids and I traveled to Minneapolis for a funeral and our car broke down on the way. A dealer service department on the Burnsville auto mile quoted us $3,500 in required maintenance and we took it to Honest1 for an unbiased second opinion. Since we were stranded without a way home Scott and the team prioritized a vehicle inspection and ultimately made a recommendation we trusted that trading in the vehicle was our best option. They were awesome to work with and we were able to make a new car purchase with peace of mind that it was the right decision even though we hadn’t planned it.

Overall, did a decent job. They were able to fit me in if I could drop it off and they got it done within the window they said. Thank you. They offered to do a lot of extra things, new struts/shocks all around and new rotors along with the brake pads. Store manager said I don't really need the suspension just yet...so my thought is, don't offer it! I've never had to replace struts on a vehicle at 70,000 miles! This is about the same offering I got when I brought a different vehicle in here a couple years ago. It's a little annoying. Also, their oil change card they offer: FYI, it only covers 5 quarts, which doesn't cut it for a lot of vehicles. It does say that on the card, but it is easy to miss when you see the FREE in big letters. I also had to wait quite a while just to pay when I was done. The car door was unlocked when I went to the parking lot to get in my car. I asked the manager about that and he said they normally lock it.

I took my F150 truck in for a fluid leak. The vehicle inspection is very helpful. I ended up getting most of the services recommended done and used the coupon. We did have a immediate issue after picking up vehicle but these guys provided a loner vehicle to allow me to get to work and got my vehicle back to me same day. No excuses. I had to bring truck back again 2 days later. Again no excuses and diagnosed issue immediately but also let me know that dealer had a recall on my VIN and would fix truck under warranty. This turned out to be true! And saved me a ton of money. I will use again.

They have earned the “Honest” in their name. They could also be listed as courteous and professional. All too often businesses do stupid things or don’t do the right thing because of policy or because that’s the way they always do it. My wife walked over to pick up her car (-10 degrees or so) and she ended up turning around and bringing it back because she didn’t think it was running properly. Joe listened and let her know they’d take a look at it in the morning. He apologized and offered her a ride home!! The next morning he called me to explain what had happened and that it was fixed and ready to be picked up! Honest will be our go to auto repair place for all our cars now. Thank you.

I came into their shop with a slow leak in my left front tire. The tire has to be replaced because of where the hole is near the sidewall. They put my spare tire on because I have to drive back to Cincinnati. They didn't charge me for the work. The staff there are very friendly and willing to help out. Great job by everyone. Had my AC compressor fixed when told there was a crack and my freon was leaking out. Replaced it Aug 2020 so only used it a handful of times, worked fine until the first hot day this spring and wouldn't get cold at all. Brought it in and they assured me it would be fully covered on my warranty. They confirmed the freon was gone but no dye to tell where it's leaking. They added dye with the new freon and I'll have to go back if it continues to leak out and it will be fully covered on the repair last fall. Very good customer service and they even offered a loaner car to use which was very helpful. I'm looking forward to getting it fixed once and for all once we determine where it's still leaking. I will service all 3 of my cars there based on their excellent service and warranty for work.

Honest-1 is true to their name. I have been a long time customer, and I brought my vehicle in, they recommended the service, I followed through, paid for it, and unfortunately, the problem was not fixed. When I took it back, they found the issue, made the targeted repairs and did not charge me. Then, the part they installed was defective, they took my vehicle back a second time, and completed the work, a second time, and did not charge me. I am so thankful. Honestly, this is my second time going to Honest-1 (Burnsville location) I have never had more sincere answers to my car problems and honest ideas for the ways I’ve wanted to handle these problems. Great service and solid updates throughout the process. Only negative was I failed to ask for military discount. During a follow up call, again very much appreciated, the caller let me know they have a 15% military discount. I mentioned I failed to ask and was wondering if there was an option to apply the missed discount to future work. I was told I could get a $50 credit for follow up work. The discount would have been $475 if applied previously. Very happy with the work itself and would recommend them for your auto repairs. Just make sure you ask about discounts before settling invoice.

Its very easy to take your vehicle in, get a repaired or maintenance done without a hitch and give a great review..... ... that was not my experience. I'm from over an hour away and I went to H-1with an emergency. Things did not go well and it was a very rocky start. With that said, I have never dealt with a company that was so willing to own up to a mistake with no excuse at all and then take care of the client as well as Honest 1. Fred, The owner, called me the very next day with a complete rundown of what went wrong and how they were going to fix the problem. I'm thankful I found this company. I live in Sioux Falls and was looking at a used vehicle in Minnesota to purchase from an individual. I had an inspection done at their shop. Upon inspection they found about 4k of repairs that would need to be done on the vehicle. The detailed inspection not only saved me a trip up there but saved me from investing in a vehicle that would have had a lot of costly repairs that weren't obvious without a mechanic looking at it. I took a day off on a Friday to have my car done at a dealership and they told me excuses to get rid of me cause they were swamped and down three (3) technicians and set me an appointment for Wednesday. So I called around and found out the same appointment availability is Wednesday. Then I found Honest 1 in Burnsville and was told I could come in tomorrow which is a Saturday at 8am and they actually didn’t blow smoke up my tooshy! They were professional and very HONEST! That’s how I see how they got their name. Work was done in a couple hours and I was on my way! I’ve found my new auto care shop for myself and family and that’s HONEST 1! Thanks guys! Also I like to mention is the email setup that I received with all details in the work that was done. It really goes into detail and the pictures are awesome along with other inspections like transmission fluid, coolant, belts, air/cabin filters, etc. AWESOME SETUP! I highly recommend HONEST 1! This was my 1st time to the repair shop, cuz friend referred me to this shop. on Friday 10/30/2021 when i dropped off my daughter to school that morning and my engine light was on n flashing n felt idling n funny. so i Google n probably my car engine was misfire something like that, so i Google on website n looked around n saw their feedbacks have 45 people writing feedbacks n most of them are good, according to my friend reference, so i decided to try this shop, once i stopped by n manager Joe was on the front desk n 1st Joe told me that they were busy n couldn't give me diagnosed right away, but then few minutes later, Joe decided to get machine n went out with me to see how was my car, later same day around 1p Joe called me n told me about how much n how many parts need to be done like oxygen sensor, ignition coils n spark plug need to replace all that included parts n labor the price was seemed to be ok, so i told Manager Joe go ahead n did those repairs. i also told him that i needed my car back as soon as possible on Saturday, Joe seemed really listening and called me today earlier that my car was done. when i drove my car away, my car's engine light was gone, but my signal lights are still on the dashboard. no more idling n my car seems fine now. Thanks Joe n shop teams. If nothing wrong in the couple months my car, then i will recommend this shop to my friends. im really people n not for fake feedbacks like some people doing those dirty feedbacks out there. Found out i need a timing chain done on my engine. Wasn't thrilled when the told me the price and ended up finding someone to do it at my house. I've been going here to get my oil change for my WRX since the dealerships charge more than $100 for an oil change when this place is pretty much half that cost. It's an oil change, you're in and out in no time. I could do the oil change myself but I'd rather just drop off the car and get back to work (or grab lunch). The front office staff is knowledgeable and they don't give you the typical sales pitch. They are as they say they are, honest! I like the digital inspection they have. Being able to see a review of what they inspect on the car and what might need replacing soon like air filter helps with making decisions on whether I can do it on my own time or just let them complete the service. During this time with the pandemic, they've been very good with their COVID policies. My wife and I take our vehicles here for oil changes and will continue to do so in the foreseeable future!

Service was fast and when he came back to let me know what else needed to be done on the car, he wasn't pushy at all. Honest-1 performed an oil change for me. They were friendly and professional. The one downside was it took nearly an hour for the oil change (and don't expect to be able to drop in without an appointment). That being said, with the old saw that you can (at best) choose two of: fat, cheap, high quality, my experience suggests that Honest-1 might offer at least reasonable (maybe better-than-reasonable) prices and quality work, while perhaps not being the fastest. In my book, that's not a bad value equation for a service shop.

I called Honest-1 on Valentine's Day when I discovered that my brakes were almost entirely ineffectual after work. Devon was very nice and very concerned, he gently insisted I don't try to drive further and told me they would help me. They got me in and out for an oil change in less than an hour. The last time I was there for an oil change I spent about 2 hours and I was very frustrated and had told myself I was never going back. However, I had bought a special card that had a few free oil changes as well as some other coupons and I didn’t want to waste it. The lobby had an unpleasant smell that started to give me a headache, so glad I was out of there somewhat quickly. Also, in the past they put a bag of pretzels in the car after the service but this time they didn’t. So, my overall visit was just ok. They quoted a price of nearly $1500 to fix our brakes, rotors, and a caliper on our 2011 Volkswagen Golf, so we bit the bullet and gave the OK to do it. They were professional from start to finish and accepted half down to start fixing the car. When the car was done, they called us and told us they were able to fix the caliper without replacing it, which saved us about $700. They didn't have to try to fix it to pass the savings to us since we had braced ourselves to pay $1500, but they did anyways, and that's pretty darn honest if you ask me. I have had mechanics spring bad news about needing a more expensive repair, but never had one come back to give me a cheaper final cost! I was very happy, needless to say. I have driven it since then to make sure that the repair was done right, and it works perfectly now. Grinding noise gone, so I'm quite happy. As icing on the cake, they did a synthetic oil change on our car since it was getting close to that time of year, and it only cost $40 instead of the $99 that I usually pay for it to be done at Valvoline. Not only that, but on top of all the savings, they also honored a 10% off web coupon for all of this service as well. Saving an additional $70? Yes please! I recommend these guys. If that ever changes, I'll amend my review, but for now, they get 5-stars from me!

Overall great service. One issue is that I had a gift card for oil change with up to 5 quarts of oil. Car requires 5.1 quarts and I got charged for an additional 1 quart which I feel is an unreasonable amount to charge for 0.1 additional quart of oil.

In a panic; as every mother is before the holidays, I called Honest 1 and spoke to Robert the Store Manager. I explained my concerns to him. He helped me call a tow truck for the car and told me he would stay and meet the tow driver with my daughter’s car and take care of getting it squared away until I could get there. amazing service, our car started making a noise while we were driving. we found honest one and they were closed however the owner and the service manager were still inside. they welcomed us in and took it for a test drive. it was so bad they recommended we leave it. they offered to arrange transportation to get home and told us they would call in the morning. I have been to a lot of service centers in my life and this was by far the best experience that I have ever had. Brandon was very knowledgeable, professional, and most of all honest. He made me feel like family. Now I know where you get your name from. He explained to me everything that was wrong with my car, and told me what needed to be fixed and what could wait. I have never had any other shop tell me that stuff could wait. To me that gained you guys a customer for life. Although the quote was more than I could handle until I get my taxes back, but I will be there once I get the money. Please don't ever let Brandon leave because I will follow him wherever he goes. The gentleman told me there is nothing wrong with the car and that it shows a little sign of age but nothing abnormal and he didn't think I needed anything. I'll be honest, no pun intended, I thought the "home of the honest mechanics" sign out front was a bit silly but this interaction made me a believer. I don't think in my entire adult life I've ever taken a car to a shop and said "hey I think there's something wrong and left with no estimate and a 'your car is fine.'" If you are tired of the run-around and tired of high prices and dishonest advice, go here and see Brandon. He has been amazing since I first called him. I came to him with issues that tires plus said I had and he looked at my jeep and told me truthfully what needed to be done, which of course tires plus said I needed more work that needed to be done but wasn't necessary. He put me in a loaner that day and texted me, because I can't always answer my phone at work or even talk on the phone for that matter, but he did just about every day letting me know what's going on with the jeep and asked me to call him when I could, if there were issues he wanted discuss further. I had the loaner for over 2 weeks ( the computer I needed took about a week to get there) which I didn't mind at all. The loaner I had was a Jeep Liberty and I was fine with it. Especially when he was letting me know what's going on with my vehicle and that as long as I didn't mind, he didn't mind if I stayed in the loaner. After he got all the parts in my jeep and it was ready to go, he called me to let me know he discovered something else, but it didn't need to be done at that time, but soon is what he suggested so I just told him to go ahead and do it. He had also called me a few days prior and let me know the shocks in the rear were completely blown out and tires plus never once mentioned that. I wanted him to fix my jeep from then on out. Now tires plus charged me around 300 to figure out why my jeep kept dying and they concluded "front control module" well after returning the loaner and getting my jeep back it is still dying. I called Brandon and he told me to bring it back as soon as I could and he would look at it again. Currently it is back at honest one and I might have spent all that money because tires plus concluded that it was the computer so I shopped around and found honest one to be the best price and come to find out they also have the best honest service. Brandon has been texting me letting me know what he's tried so far on the jeep and he might have figured it out and it might have not been the computer this whole time. Go see Brandon. He is amazing. My fiancé lost his job during this whole thing and he has been texting me letting me know job ideas and letting me know he will try and help us as much as he can with the jeep and will continue updating. I told him he is a god send. He has been so amazing I will never go anywhere else or see anyone else ever again. Seriously. The best auto repair shop that I have ever been to and that is only because of Brandon and the gentlemen who have helped him work on my jeep. I think he needs to be recognized and promoted. That place would be top in the region if he ran it. He is truly about customer service and not over charging. Truly. He wants to help you and genuinely cares about you and your vehicle issues. He will figure it out. He won't let you down. Go see Brandon at honest one.
