This is the GO-TO spot for your emissions test. They are very professional and super fast. They have an on-site repair facility in the rear. You can also purchase your license plate sticker on the spot. The staff is awesome and experienced. The wait for me wasn't very long. I was in and out in no time.

Just relocated here and needed to replace the out-of-state license plates with WI ones. During my last relocation, the screws of the rear plate got stuck and the local mechanic drilled two new holes to attach it to the car. I don't have any tool to drill holes in the WI plates so I came to R K Motor for help. Garvin attached the plates for me in no time. When I asked how much, he just smiled and said no charge. I couldn't believe it because I was charged for $50 for the same job in my previous state! I then asked if I could do the emission test as well. They did it right away. All in all I was at R K Motor for about 5 minutes. It was one of my best experiences with a car repair shop. Thank you R K Motor!

Tony is honest as the day is long. Twice he could have completed unnecessary work, but instead told me not to do something someone else said I needed (new rotors and breaks), or take my vehicle to the dealer bc the problem is likely a defect that the company should deal with (as in recall). Other work, has been timely and well done the first time. I have referred my adult children to use his services and they too have been treated with respect and fairness. If all businesses ran their business as he does, this would be a great world :).

For emissions tests, a convenient oil change and towing (with insurance paying) this is a good place. Very nice staff. But as a new customer who just needed an oil change they certainly recommended other things to me that were very expensive and one of which I confirmed was not needed at all. Disappointed to get the “here’s a new customer let me try to up charge you on things you don’t need” sales pitch.

RK Motors was assigned to us by our insurance provider (Progressive). The tow truck driver Ricky was efficient, pleasant, and overall provided a great customer experience. Like most car users I get anxious about it being mishandled, but clearly he knew his stuff. Our insurance covered it so no idea about cost, but the customer service alone is worth it.

Emissions testing! Friendly, efficient, helpful. We recently had work done to pass emissions and our computer was recently reset - with covid we hadn't driven around enough to get a passing emission test (150 miles and over 70mph for a stretch on the freeway). They were patient with us and instructed us perfectly with a smile. We were able to pass emissions the same day with their guidance. Absolutely excelent service. Thank you

After a failed attempt for a tow, my insurance carrier rerouted my Emergency Roadside Assistance claim to RK Motors who gave me a call and arrived moments later even though it was a Saturday and late at night. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the driver's name but he was very friendly and helpful and even tried offering to jumpstart instead of actual towing (but in my case that wouldn't have worked, but the gesture is always appreciated so as not to spend more than what's actually needed). The second time I needed a tow, my insurance called RK Motors and needless to say they were fast and reliant. Tony (Antony chettan) is dependable and reliable. Thank you to the team for helping me out with my end-of-life vehicle.

Went in for an emissions test. It was a bit difficult finding one, everywhere else said they didn't do it or their "guy" wasn't there. They got me in pretty quick but they had me waiting in my car for like ten minutes. I started getting irritated because I was watching people not working but not helping me. In hindsight, ten minutes isn't very long and the test was quick. I was even able to pay my fee and get my sticker.

I initially took my vehicle to RK motors for in emissions test and oil change. I was immediately impressed by Tony's professionalism and straightforwardness. You can tell that these were car guys they knew their stuff and it shows in the quality of the parts and car they take when preforming the repair on your vehicle. Tony and his team definitely pass the vibe check. Yesterday I took my Tahoe there for a tune up and it was like a renewed lease on life for it. I plan to take both of my vehicle for all future repairs and planned upgrades. I've been having my Toyota's serviced at RK Motors for several years and trust them to do good work at fair prices. They are happy to provide no pressure estimates and if there a multiple items requiring service, they'll help to prioritize what needs to be done now and what can wait. The communication is good throughout the repair and if my car is to be left at the shop for a multi-hour repair, they'll provide a ride to work (or home). Tony and team are honest and courteous. From out of state and car broke down on a cold rainy/icy weekday afternoon while I was visiting! I had called several other places and everyone told me they wouldn’t be able to look at my car for a week! RK was friendly right from the start when I was in quite the panicked state. Their kind and helpful customer service was such a relief. They were able to tow my car to the shop and diagnose/fix two major issues within less than 24 hours. I was very impressed with their communication, timeliness, and straightforward answers—when I came to pick up next day they were so helpful in answering any and all questions I had, without the judgement I often get for driving an old, very high mileage yellow VW beetle. This place is great. They always do a professional job. Their prices are reasonable for the work that they do. My only complaint is that they can get VERY busy sometimes, so be sure to make an appointment. If you are bringing in a car with multiple issues, give them a written list so they don't forget anything.

I had to take my car to a dealership for a recall notice anyway, and did so when I was losing air pressure in one tire. The dealership told me I'd have to replace the tire due to where the puncture (nail) was, but did not have the tire in stock. I then went over to RK Motors -- easier to get home from there than the dealership and figuring I'd have to leave the car. I told RK the story and one mechanic went to look... came back in maybe 10-15 minutes later. He plugged the nail hole leak! Said there was no need to replace the tire! I think I paid $10 and I've been riding on that tire for about a year now. I have found them to be very honest, reliable, friendly and will explain any repairs or questions you could have, and with reasonable fees. Excellent!

Our car wouldn't start this morning. We called our dealership as we were worried there was rodent damage as we've had mice eat our car wiring before. John from R K came to tow the car but checked it beforehand- and it was the battery. He started the car up for us and recommended we just get a new battery. Saved us a TON of money, and was very friendly. Really appreciated his help! No need to tow our car now, just a new battery and we're good as new. Will definitely recommend them in the future :)

So Happy That RK MOTORS Family Shop Ran By Two Awesome Brothers, Their Shop Has Been Near By When I Need Any Maintenance Done On My Car. I’ve Been Going To RK Motors For A Little Over Four Years Now, I Took My Vehicle In With Soooo Much Work That Needed To Be Done....I Literally Only Had Enough Funds To Get What I Originally Needed Done. Welp He Helped By Letting Me Know The Headlights I Thought I Needed I Didn’t Which Helped Save Some Cash, Instead Of Me Rushing To Get Four New Tires I Really Only Needed Two Which Also Saved Me Some Cash. We have been taking our vehicles to RK Motors for over 20 years. Now, our children take there vehicles to RK, too. We trust Tony and his staff to diagnose, tweak, repair or replace, as necessary, to keep our vehicles safe and on the road. We buy vehicles new and have kept all of them well over 100,000 miles. We trust RK Motors to be our partner in vehicle maintenance. My husband does most routine maintenance, but he knows his limits and takes jobs he feels he cannot handle to RK and relies on their advice and recommendations. At times, RK staff will suggest fixes that my husband can handle, or a repair that is less extensive (and less costly) than the one my husband suspected was likely. We know RK Motors to be an honest and competent vehicle repair shop. Ours is an unqualified recommendation.

I have a 1996 Cadillac Sedan DeVille...."Goldie". Goldie was overheating and required the radiator, water pump, belt, and hoses replaced. What really impressed me was the fact that they took care of the problem with no dishonesty. They took pride with their work and backed it up with a warranty. They were very good in their communications. Their work speaks for them. I trust them with Goldie. No other spot would touch her.....Northstar engines are a bear...but they are reliable if you take care of them.....R.K will take care of you!!

RK Motors, and it's owner, Tony, work on 2 of my cars. They can do most anything, except advanced alignments/high tech wheel mounting and balancing. I recommend Manyo Motors for that (over on Green Bay Ave). Like any car shop, it pays be informed and knowledgeable about what is wrong with your car and what should be the fix. But Tony's pretty honest; there's only been one time where I got a proposal for some brake work that was outlandish, and I said, "nope." Of course, this was when Tony was on vacation and I let him know about the ridiculous quote. He said he'll 'take care of it.' Overall good shop, and they have a great tow service too!

This is one of the best shops in Milwaukee. I took my 87 Porsche 944 to a few shops prior to RK where I was told a week later they lacked the knowledge and skills to repair my car. Finally took my Porsche to RK Motors and they were able to repair it within days of arriving. Since then for the past 7 years I've only done business with RK motor as my preferred repair shop. Currently my 07 Dodge Charger R/T is there and I have the peace of mind knowing the repairs will be done professionally and correctly on top of their labor rates being very reasonable. The owner and his crew are excellent. I recommend this shop to all of my friends and family.
