I was recommended to Kingwood Service Center last year by several friends. Last summer they took the time to determine we needed a new starter on our 15-year-old Honda Accord. I am now using them for all our auto service needs. They do a great job and most of all they provide clear explanation/recommendations for what may (or may not) be needed. Highly recommend!

I am so glad that I turned to the guys at Kingwood Service Center. They are thorough, sincere and not in the business of trying to upcharge you at every possible turn, but rather make suggestions when needed and work with you. Started using these guys in 1993. Just moved to Kingwood. I was out of town a Continental pilot and car started missing running rough when my wife and newborn daughter were going to the doctors. Just had a complete tuneup before driving car from Ft Lauderdale. Wife pulled in and told Derrick the issue. He found a loose plug wire. Fixed it in 5 minutes. No Charge. I’ve never taken any of my cars or kids cars anywhere else. Great people and Honest prices. Shuttle ride service is great.

They initially tried to charge me $295.35 for a diagnostic fee and changing of lug nuts, I left a bad review, and the manager Manuel got back to me and refunded me. I'm still disappointed it happened in the first place as it gave me a lot of stress. I'm happy it was taken care of though and I wasn't dismissed for my concern and outrage. Manuel was very nice and professional, and I'm glad he noticed the error. Still leaving my review at 3 stars as it shouldn't have ever happened in the first place.

Derek and Dan only hire the best, so you can be assured your car is in professional hands every time. As always, I was beyond satisfied with the care that was taken with my vehicle. The team here makes sure everything that needs attention is seen to, and I never feel I’ve been overcharged or that I’ve been persuaded to have things done to my car that aren’t necessary. Without a doubt, this is the best auto repair & maintenance shop in the area! I would trust Dan and his team with my vehicles without hesitation. Recently, the battery in my 4runner died while my wife dropped of our son at a local elementary. I called Dan and asked if he could send someone to help her out. He sent a tech to her location within 15 minutes, jumped the vehicle, and the tech followed her back to the shop to ensure she made it to the shop safely. They replaced the battery and she was on her way within 30 minutes. Where else can you find this kind of service?

We have been going to Kingwood service center for 10 years now, as our parents did before us. Derek and Dan have been the main anchors since the beginning. They allow us to use our own oil, while they supply the filter and the service, which saves us money. They service both of our vehicles from state inspections to a complete fluid change . Had a puncture tire that had a slow leak. Guys at the desk told me my options so went ahead and see if they could repair the tire. Sure enough little over hour had a tire with no leaks and only cost me 15 bucks. Tried to find the spot where it was repair only to find it seamless.

Had trouble with my truck on my way home from work. I dropped it off later that night and placed my keys in the night drop box. A quick phone call in the morning with a description of the issue and they were on their way. A few hours later I received a message to give them a ring. They had found the issue and quoted me a price. After agreeing to the price the repair was made. I paid over the phone and collected my vehicle later that night. The guys were super quick to resolve my issue and I believe the price was fair.

Another good experience with KSC! They rotated the tires on our 2021 VW Jetta and noticed the rear brake wear was excessive for such low mileage. I took it to the VW dealership and they changed out the rear brakes for free since it was less than a year old and told me during the pandemic due to sourcing problems substitute parts were used and were not performing well. Thanks to KSC for spotting a problem.

This place is great! I recently moved to the Kingwood area and unfortunately had to quickly find a maintenance shop due to a dead battery. I luckily found this place. They contracted with EMC towing to quickly get my vehicle towed. They were able to fix the issue and get it addressed within a few hours. So the Zotti family has been coming to Kingwood Service Center for a very very long time. Ever since I've been a teenager. And I've gone through about 3 cars since then up until now as an adult. Dan and his guys at Kingwood Service Center have done excellent work and they are honest about everything. All work that needs to be done he is straight forward and honest with you. Cost is also pretty reasonable too. Dan's pretty knowledge about cars and if you have a question about a certain part or why the part needs to be replaced, he will tell you. I've brought my car here many times throughout my lifetime. My Dad knows because he's brought in many cars here. These guys are good at what they do and I highly recommend them.

Kingwood Service Center fixed the A/C on my 2008 truck last Friday for the total sum of $73! The compressor was off, and it needed a little coolant. An honest repair shop is gold. (How many shops would have said a new system was needed, I wonder. ) Also, dropped it off at 8a and was back home by 10:30. They have a new shuttle truck with a very cheerful driver that makes pickup/drop off a breeze. I am delighted with the quality of this service!

This shop was recommended to me by a few people and now, after my great experience, I am recommending. I took my car in for a general check. It is a 10 year old vehicle with 169,000 miles and I wanted to know what needed to be addressed. Car was running fine. I was pleasantly surprised and relieved that nothing major was needed. KSC sent me pictures of what they checked under the hood and under the car with notes on what they found needed and also rated as priority. I didn't expect this! They were also helpful in determining what could wait. I didn't feel pressured at all. I actually felt like they appreciated my business and welcomed questions I had. For that reason, I will be giving them my future business and referring friends to them!

I just can't emphasize enough how impressed I am with the guys at Kingwood Service Center. They have been fixing issues with all of our cars for nine plus years now and have consistently been genuinely engaged, friendly and professional in the process. Most recently, Derek had his guys spend hours diagnosing an unusual radiator thermostat issue in one of our cars. They swapped out the thermostat and refilled the system with coolant and it's working 4.0 now, but since the tests weren't conclusive about the cause, they didn't charge me a cent for all their work. Even after I insisted on paying! While I'm not saying you should expect to get your car fixed for free, you can be sure they will make every effort to get the job done right, and that they will do so at a fair price.

We took our car to Kingwood Service Center and were pleased with the work and how fast we got our car back. My neighbor is widowed asked me for car repair advice. Last week I took my 210,000 mile Mazda here to get the front struts replaced. I took it there Friday morning and got it back Friday afternoon. PS. I've lived in Kingwood for many years and formerly took my vehicles to an independent shop in Atascosita. After trying Kingwood Service Center and becoming familiar with the staff there, I will be taking all of my service for my three cars there (the newest is 6 years old). I use them for two reasons: One, they are a neighborhood business with great hours and easy access and we should support local businesses if possible. I reviewed several shops in the area and based on the online reviews I took my car here and am glad I did. I had a check engine light come on and decided to take it to a local shop rather than the dealer. The staff were extremely professional and courteous. Since they could not find anything wrong with my vehicle they did not charge me a “Diagnostic Fee” (kudos to them) but recommended a new car battery and oil change that I had them do. (I did take my car to an oil change establishment down the street and I cannot prove it but they stripped my oil drain plug and told me they could not change my oil after I was there for an hour). Kingwood service fixed that issue as well. Based on the amazing communication and experience I will be taking all me vehicles there for routine maintenance and repairs when needed and have recommended them to a few people already. Highly recommended! I am extremely satisfied with the services provided by Kingwood Service Center. i have already taken all 3 of my vehicles to them for various work and service. Each time they were not only friendly but shockingly efficieny, reasonably priced, and knowledgeable. They communicated very effectively up-front about the services, repairs and costs involved. Also very accurate with the time frame in which the services would be completed. They patiently answered all my questions and did not overcharge or perform unnecessary work. I am not a car expert nor a mechanic but I am a researcher and aim to be an informed consumer. In my 13 years in the Kingwood area, I have been unable to find a local shop that remained honest enough not to try to inflate repairs or twist the truth about what work needed to be done. On several occasions they have proved that they do have the integrity to honestly report the facts and costs. I chose this shop based on all the positive reviews and I am happy to add my positive experience with this shop as well. Funny, I have filled up my car with gas at the station in the same lot for years and always wondered why there were so many vehicles at that shop. I incorrectly assumed that either they were very slow doing work on the cars or they were overwhelmed and would be too busy to get to my vehicle in a timely manner. I decided to look up reviews one day and was shocked that everyone rated them so highly so I took a chance and actually waited inside the shop for an oil change and expired state inspection. I was a but surprised as I waited that every customer who came through the door was greeted by name! While that's rare these days, I was even more impressed at how quickly they finished my oil change and inspection! It was so much quicker than any of the "quick" oil change places I've used and without any of the typical upselling I experience at every single other shop. I will definitely keep using this shop with confidence and highly recommend them!

As a technician and certified aircraft mechanic, I do most vehicle fixes at home, but when it's something I don't have the time, space or tools for, these guys are more than honest and fair! I've tried using the competition down the road on a few occasions in the 10+ years we've lived in KW prior to discovering Kingwood Service Center. No more. From vehicle inspections to hard to find qwirks, these guys diagnose and offer fair and thorough repairs. I've been waiting in the TINY sitting area and listened to interactions with other customers, and they won't BS a customer and recommend unnecessary 'repairs.' I also heard them say there was a hybrid car issue they weren't equipped to handle and rather than lie and take the car for repairs, they suggested the customer consult the dealer. Some places are not that honest. Props to KSC! I hope they're around for many many years to come!

I was very pleased with the service and cost for the repairs on my front brakes. The rotors were slightly warped. They gave me, in my opinion, an honest diagnosis of the problem. They didn't try to up sell me any other services. I would recommend Kingwood Service Center. I was told my Cadillac Escalade repair would be either $275 or $580, depending on what the Tech found, once they got into the job. After my brand new-to-me, four month old car flooded, and the insurance company scared the hell out of me by not responding to my calls, Derek was genuinely like an angel sent to help. I've waited for a car I love this much for a long time and didn't expect anyone else to adore her like I do, so after she flooded, the thought of total strangers having to rip her apart was just too much. But Derek was genuinely as concerned about what was happening (or NOT happening) with her as I was, and that made ALL the difference! This concern translated to other areas too. I have no doubt whatsoever that the reason I was not slammed with a huge repair bill to pay, alongside my next car note, was because he went above and beyond by putting more pressure on the insurance company than I was capable of doing alone. I honestly don't even want to think about how bad that whole situation could have been for me if I called another shop and didn't have Derek on my side. He might do this job every day and think nothing of it, but this experience was a first for me and I can't thank him enough for making an otherwise awful situation feel like a blessing in the end. Showed up for an oil change, and was told it would be an hour to an hour 15 minutes. Car was done in about 40 minutes. They offered to rotate tires, checked the battery and other things that went above and beyond a typical oil change. Derek and the team at Kingwood Service Center (KSC) are the best! I am one of those people who typically buys two-year old cars and holds onto them into the 200,000 mile range, so I can invest more of my dollars into appreciable assets rather than depreciable assets. Given this fact, I must have a mechanic who is honest, reasonably priced and is proactive. KSC does all of this and more. For example, I receive periodic texts from KSC which inform me when my next scheduled maintenance is for each of my four cars. One last thing. If you bring your car in before 10am or between 2pm-4pm, you can walk on over to Sonic and grab a half-priced drink while you wait.
