Took my car in for power steering pump diagnosis. They discovered it was bad and the reservoir was stopped up. My warranty had expired 10 days ago. I thought I was screwed!! But Chris Hutchinson, my service advisor said “No problem, we’ll honor your warranty”. Now that’s customer service!!! They could have easily said 2 years means 2 years. I have been going here for many years and will continue servicing my car here. This is why they’ve been around so long. Honesty, integrity, and great customer service!!

I have used Colony one for a few years, referred by one of my best friends because he told me he thinks they are honest and do good jobs! Over the past few years, I feel the same thing! They do what’s necessary to maintain the car in good condition, but not try to sell me unnecessary work that many other autoshops would do to lady customers (thinking we know nothing about cars!). I really know nothing about cars, but I can always feel confident that they know what to do and take good care of my car like their own! The other day I brought my car keys and batteries in and asked for help to replace the battery. The handsome young man :) helped me put the batteries in and tested the batteries to make sure they are in good order! Very thorough and thoughtful service! Thank you all there! Please keep up good work!

I had a not so good experience with this place I took my car in on a Monday didn't pick up until Wednesday after for a check engine light and Tire pressure warning light on but to no prevail the problem was not fixed and was charged 640.00 .All I can say is never again This was an expensive experience to endure with nothing being done to fix my problem. And they want me to bring it back in for what to be charged extra money. No thank you. Now after speaking with Rick about my situation as of 11/28/2022 I can honestly say that I appreciate Colony One Auto Center from making my situation right by refunding my money back. Thank you Rick

I would like to preface this with saying that I did not go through with the full service needed. This review is about the customer service I received through the diagnostic process. Chris was very thorough and explained everything that was wrong. He took me to the back and physically showed me all of the issues with my car which i did not expect. I usually just get a quick run through of everything that I’ll need to pay for and asked how I will be paying for the service needed without ever even telling me in detail what is wrong. I ended up getting the service done through a friend, but if there is anything that my friend isn’t able to do in the future I will without a doubt head to Colony One based on how I was treated here through my first visit.

Completely astounded they fixed this OBD problem in less than a day when 3 other mechanics could not solve this issue that has been going on for 4 months. I couldn’t get my sticker renewed because my OBD moniters (o2 & catalytic sensors) were stuck in “incomplete” status. Nobody could figure it out. I was like told to try cataclean, try disconnecting the battery, or simply “drive over 3k miles”. Some just fiddled around and checked for loose connections, but no solution provided (and I paid $200 for that). I almost lost hope. Then I opened my insurance app and discovered that Colony One was guaranteed (plus discounts via insurance with Triple A) so I gave them a try. I dropped it off Friday afternoon. Then Thursday morning I got a call and was in total shock to hear this issue thats been hanging over my head for months, has been completely resolved. I almost couldn’t believe it because 3 other mechanics couldn’t fix this seemingly small and simple issue. Colony One basically reset and rebooted every single moniter. Why the others did not think to do this first is completely beyond me. 4 months of my money going down the drain paying other mechanics to diagnose and not provide an accurate solution and troubleshooting could’ve been avoided if I knew about Colony One earlier. They have restored my faith in that competent mechanics actually do exist.

We didn’t have to wait he was quick and happy to help. With this level of service for such a small task we know we will be back for any car needs in the future. Spoke with Chris, who was very courteous over the phone. I dropped off my wife's vehicle for a noise it was making. They were very informative and explained everything really well. I didn't receive the same kind of customer service experience when I picked up the vehicle, although it wasn't bad, probably because I did not have them fix the problem due to the cost of repairs. You get what you pay for...these people are not cheap, but experiencing the display of customer service over the phone I can tell that the mechanic service is on a par. Anyway, customer service is very well compared to most auto repair shops. The problem was the timing belt, which they did have to take some components apart to confirm the issue. The diagnosis charge was 150.

Everyone at Colony One Auto Center was very and helpful, the turnaround for my was was pretty quick, as soon as they got my replacement part for my transmission they were able to install it and return my car back before the end of the day. They also checked up on me to make sure my vehicle is working well. I will definitely take my other vehicles for maintenance and servicing.

Been a regular customer. I drive a '98 Mustang and diagnosis and repairs have been very good with one exception. Staff is friendly and make vehicle drop off easy. The free shuttle to and from home are a very good perk. Driver is on time and friendly. Waiting are is clean. Other places might charge less but I don' want repeated trips to get repair right. I like this place.

These guys are one of a kind, a group of great business operators you don’t see much anymore. Im actually not from Stafford, but we purchased a car from this area that was impeccably serviced by Colony One, and I sought them out to ask questions about the vehicle that we were purchasing, and I ended up speaking with Chris Hutchinson, who spoke with me like an old friend and kindly answered all my questions, even though we weren’t actually paying them for any service at all! He still took plenty of time to help me out, knowing I was two states away. It was a great feeling. Go with these guys they will take care of you!

This is a honest shop that does an outstanding job. I have trusted them for over three years now and have a fleet of 16 trucks (and growing)and won’t take them anywhere else for repairs or general servicing. The guys at Colony One have superior customer service and class A communications. I don’t write reviews very often and even fewer with a Five Star rating, but this company earned it and maintains it. From my many experiences with them I can tell you to feel at ease when you trust them for your automotive needs, they will not disappoint you. My check engine light came on as I was running errands to get ready for our trip the next day. I took my car to Colony One just before they closed. They asked what time I needed to leave the next day and told me they would do their best to have my car ready. Kevin called at 7:55 the next morning with and update and estimate. My car was ready right when I planned to leave. They did everything to make sure I was able to keep my plans and have a great holiday despite my car trouble. The staff care about their customers and treat you like family! I have 6 vehicles that are serviced at Colony One. Service is always prompt and prices are fair. Whether it is an oil change or a major repair, you can always expect good, quick, and reliable service from the front desk to the mechanic staff. Thank you Colony One!

Great service, this will now be my “go to” place when I need car repairs. I needed a few minor things replaced on my car and the dealer told me they’d have to keep it for a couple days. I called Colony One and they told me to bring it in the next morning. I brought it in at 8am and it was done by noon. They didn’t try to sell me anything else or BS me into spending more more money, the price was very reasonable and I’m sure a lot less than the dealer. The front desk employee was very respectful (and cute!) and the office was clean. They were very busy but I was still able to get in and out in a few hours. Now I know why their reviews are so good, rightfully so! It’s difficult to find a mechanic you can trust, but I would definitely suggest Colony One if you’re looking for an honest mechanic!

A family friend recommended Colony One Auto because they’ve used them for years and took all of their cars there. I needed an oil change and my state inspection done. When I came the first time the gentleman recommended I return that afternoon to avoid having to wait too long. I was nervous that perhaps I might arrive in the afternoon and they would be super busy. However, when I returned at his recommended time, I was able to have my car serviced very quickly! The gentleman who was working the front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful and even great with my 13 month old daughter. The prices were fair and their bathrooms were incredibly clean. I grew up in auto shops and I feel like their restrooms are note worthy lol I definitely plan to return based off this experience!

There are so many good automobile service places in the Stafford/Sugar Land area, and I know because at one time or another I have brought my vehicle to many of them. However, after my first visit to Colony One Auto Center on Dulles Avenue in Stafford, Texas, I chose this as the place I wanted to bring my vehicle(s) to from then on. The staff has always been kind and courteous. Normally, I have been given step-by-step of what needs service and an estimate of the cost, and the service has been done to my satisfaction or beyond. Colony One offers a free shuttle service, and so if you can't wait for the work to be done, they will take you to your home or business. How about getting an estimate and then paying less? This probably doesn't happen often, but one one of my trips, it did. They thought they would have to replace something, but it turns out they didn't and when they told me that I would be paying considerably less, I was floored. They were honest and hadn't taken advantage of me.

I won’t go anywhere else for an oil change, batteries, maintenance and repairs to my car. When my passenger window fell inside the door, I thought I’d have to take it to my dealership. The simplest things matter and C1 Auto Center delivered. I went in for an inspection with a squeaky door and I go to get in my car with no squeak. Outstanding!!!!!!!!!!! Not to mention their customer service is top notch. Facilities are clean.

We brought in our SUV to get the air conditioner fixed. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly and promptly greeted by Dustin and he got us checked in right away. We were able to leave our truck as we thought it would take take a few days to find the source of the problem and get it fixed. We were pleasantly surprised when I had called and spoke with Chris that they had already diagnosed and would fix our truck and it would be ready the next day. We picked our truck up with no issues. Not your typical Colony One experience. We have been going to Colony One for close to 20 years. This is the first time we have ever had an issue with their work and customer service performance. In the end they seem to have fixed the issue but It took 5 times taking it in to get it right and each time it ran worse than when we brought it in. On top of that I had to continually reach out to them for status about what was wrong with the car and when the car would be ready. They provided little if any follow up. As I said we have been going there for years and are in their system, pluss we verified 3 different phone numbers when we took the car in originally. Yet somehow they didn't have the correct phone number to contact us? They also initially messed up on the price quoted for the valve cover and wanted to charge me $600 for a $180 part. They corrected it in the end but I was a bit surprised when they gave me the total initially and it was almost double what I was expecting. Bottom line we will use them again out of loyalty, they are honest and will make it right - but this time they missed the mark on both customer service and fixing the issue. Had this been my first time using them I would have given them 1 star, but because of past experiences I have no doubt they will do better next time.

There is plenty of places that will take care of your automotive repairs, but as far as SW Houston is concerned, this place has the most honest service available. Hopefully by the time your vehicle makes it into Colony One Auto Center it isn't in desperate need of a mechanic. They do work miracles, but they will give you a bill to suit it. Labor charges are priced for the quality of work that is done: high. For what they actually provide and service for you, the price is RIGHT. However some will say they are "pricey", but those are the people you see stuck on the side of the road with their hood up. Customer service is unique and transparent. Even if it means losing business for the day, they will not lie to you for any reason, whatsoever, under any circumstance, no matter what, ever, period (The Office's Michael Scott, anyone?). What is most impressive about Colony One is that they find out what it's going to take to get your vehicle in perfect running condition, explain everything they found (just because they found it, doesn't mean they'll fix it, but is priceless information about potential complications in the future of the vehicle), give you pricing and repair strategies, and then they DO whatever YOU want. No gimmicks, no pressure. They don't make you feel bad for denying service on a few items they found while inspecting. When it's a safety issue, they will politely explain the severity of the situation, but you still can walk away. This is my second service at Colony One, and the guys already know and treat me as a friend rather than a number on a page. Last, but definitely not the least, they offer fantastic shuttle accommodations. Just ask, they'll work something out for you. Glad to have found this shop, check it out before you are found on the side of the road with your car hood up.

I have a car with over 100K miles so I figured I was in store for a pretty expensive brake job. They called back within an hour and said my brakes were fine, no repairs needed. They didn't charge me for the inspection, they fixed a loose skidplate (no charge) and shuttled me to my dentist appt (no charge). I even tried to give the dude $5 and he wouldn't take it. I recommend this place to EVERYONE.

I have been taking all my vehicles to Colony One Auto for almost ten years now. They have done a great job analyzing the issues that I was having with any of my cars and letting me know my options. Their recommended option is rarely the most expensive one. In one case, they actually sent me to the dealership because they thought there was a good chance the $1,000+ repair might be covered under a manufacturer recall - and it was! They could have just made the repair and charged me and I would have never known the difference. I have never felt like they are trying to make as much money as possible by selling me unnecessary add-ons. Everyone we have dealt with has always been very professional and very knowledgeable. Taking my car in for a repair is no longer the stressful event it was before I was introduced to Colony One Auto.

I would like to thank you, David and the rest of your team for the fantastic customer experience I had. For the first time in many years, I felt I was dealing with automotive personnel that were genuinely interested repairing my vehicle correctly rather than suggesting unwarranted repairs. I feel like I'm driving a brand new car. I've owned the car since 2013 and have had it in the Classic Chevrolet shop since I've owned it for a variety of issues, none of which they seemed to be able to address not to mention repair. My greatest complaint was that there was no graduated acceleration. It was either slow or petal to the metal to get moving. The car would barely move with the A/C on. Neither of these issues existed this morning. Again, many thanks and appreciation. Colony One is my go to shop for all my mechanical needs from this point forward. I have been here several times, with little small things such as an oil change all the way up to replacing major A/C parts in my car at the same time. Every time I'm met with professionalism, with courtesy, and am made to understand in laymen's terms what exactly is going on with my car. I never feel walking out that I am being gouged with the labor prices. The employees upfront are always helpful and the technicians in the back always seem to do an amazing job with my vehicles. As a bonus, they have free shuttle service to take you back home or to a car rental place. I definitely recommend Colony One Auto Center for any car needs that you might have. UPDATE: 5/14/13 - I have a 1998 Chevy Cavalier that I am trying to hold to dear life with. These guys have gone above and beyond my expectations in giving life to a 15 year old car. They treat me with the same respect that they would treat someone who is walking in with a $75,000.00 car. I can't speak enough for this business, they exceed my expectations each and every time. UPDATE: 6/26/15 - I have a 1999 Honda Accord that was showing a "check engine" light. The guys plugged it up their machine, diagnosed the problem and had me turned around within a few hours ready to go. I can't say enough for the quality of this staff and especially how amazing the customer service is at this place. These people go above and beyond for every customer.

Once again, the guys at Colony One Auto reinforced why I keep coming back. Went in for a strange new rattle on my Grand Cherokee fearing something expensive was going out. After removing the skid plates on the underside of my Jeep, they found and removed a rather large piece of tile that turned out to be the culprit. No charge from Colony One for the service. And I was in and out quickly. Absolutely the best and most honest place to take your vehicle for any type of repair.

First-time patron since my former auto shop changed hands. Arrived early and explained what was needed - a 30,000 mile maintenance. They said it would be no problem. Got a call later stating that a wheel alignment was needed but otherwise all was okay. Vehicle was ready when promised, work appeared to be as called for per manufacturer's maintenance schedule, and wife was very impressed since the management likes to schmooze with the clientele. Cost was within expectation. Will definitely be returning as we need future service.

I came to colony one a couple of years ago to get my Ford Flex fixed. I found the staff to be very friendly and the shop to be well run and organized. I was impressed because many auto repair shops are really a disorganized mess. I thought that my repairs were going to be expensive but were really reasonably priced. There is a small markup on the parts but they warranty all the work that they do. Recently they have repaired my son’s Volkswagen Jetta and have repaired my daughters Ford F-150. This pick-up has given us a few problems but Colony One has come through and Rick has been outstanding in his handling of our vehicles problems. I highly recommend this shop, and will continue to use them going forward. People always look for a mechanic that they can trust, and that they feel comfortable that their interests are being looked after, this is what Colony One has become for me.

We have used Colony One for over 20 years. On three recent occasions we have taken our 2009 Toyota 4Runner in for a simple oil change and left not knowing what kind of oil was used. We have always used synthetic oil in this vehicle and at every oil change, we specifically told the service advisor we wanted full synthetic oil. However, when we received the invoices, they indicated “conventional oil”. Each time we questioned the service advisor about the type of oil used and we were assured synthetic was used. Well why does the invoice indicate conventional? I will add I have never been charged for synthetic oil when the invoice indicated conventional. I’m not sure if the problem is with the service advisor or the technician but it’s very frustrating. Maybe it’s because attention to detail is important to me. Seems like such a simple thing to get right and they didn’t on three different occasions. Update: Oil drops have been found on the garage floor since we had the oil changed last week. Looks like old oil so not sure if the technician did a sloppy job and didn’t clean up residual or what. Wasn’t leaking when we took it in. Update: Colony One asked us to bring the car back. They changed the oil with full synthetic and cleaned up the residual oil at no additional cost. I’ve changed my rating from two stars to four.

I actually stumbled on Colony One Auto Center by accident but I’m glad I did. I stopped in for an state inspection. I was greet as soon as I came in. The staff was friendly and the office was clean. This is the part that I appreciate it and it may seem small to others but as a woman it was big in my eyes. When I received my keys back from the guy he put them in my hands not on the counter, my car was parked And not just thrown in a parking spot. My paperwork was put in my hand not on the counter. So those little things in my eyes would make me come back there. because I feel as though I was treated with respect and they actually appreciate it my business. I have been to a lot of businesses that I do not care to mention but I was not treated with respect. But not here and in my eyes that speaks volumes on their character, integrity and how they feel about their customers.

I can’t thank Tony at Colony One enough. I had my car brought here after it overheated, because I got a bad vibe from the dealership I had initially contacted (Classic Chevy Sugar Land). They were quoting me $1100 for repairs, but they didn’t feel it was important to explain the repairs to me. Once Tony and the Colony One team got under the hood, they found ... a blown fuse. My car was towed to Colony One Auto Center at 4am in the morning on a Thursday. Thursday morning at 7:30 I was called by the auto center to find out what needed to be done, at which time I thought it was just a blow out. Upon review of my car, which my daughter had been driving, I was informed that it was much more than a blow out and out of there level of expertise. I had the car picked up that day by AAA. I went to Colony One knowing that I had transmission problems. First of all I’m a young mom and walking into automotive places you’d usually get talked down to or sound condescending. However, they kindly assisted me with the next steps on quoting a price for a new or rebuilt transmission. They called me back and told me the price and I decided it was just time for a new car. As you know currently we are dealing with covid. The mechanic had a mask and gloves on and you can tell he was uncomfortable but he got through it .. they were so kind and patient and professional. I am a woman and usually without my husband the mechanic tells me about sooo much work that needs to be done .. but this shop straight forward and honest .. they have a perm customer for life .. prices are reasonable .. hours are great .. give them a try .. you will not be disappointed. Oh one more thing I got an inspection and oil change I was done in an hour .. also you know they do quality work because while I was waiting they had 3 other customers they knew by name .. and one mentioned she moved to Katy .. but she still drove all the way to stafford .. I try to use Colony One Auto as much as possible. They are my "go to" shop when I need something fixed that other shops have fallen short on. I've actually had my cars towed to their shop from other shops before because the repairs weren't being done right, or the issue was unsolved. The mechanics are too notch, and they dont do unnecessary or unneeded work. I can get cars worked on cheaper at other places, but I have found that Colony One operates with integrity, and in a timely manner. I can tell you from experience that going cheaper is not always cheaper. Especially when you have to have a car towed from a shop that is Sub standard.

I lost A/C of my 2010 Hyundai Sonata GLS after I recharged the system using a can of 20oz ACPro refrigerant that came with a faulty gauge. The compressor engaged and disengaged constantly. Thinking that the compressor may have been damaged due to overcharge, I brought the car along with replacement parts to Colony One Auto Center on July 27th, 2018. It would have been a very costly repair. Not only that Colony One Auto Center did not take advantage of my situation, the car was restored to full functionality at a mere $64.33 which was more than fair. Afterwards, my advisor Tony Anthony patiently explained to me the diagnosis, remedy, and what to watch out for. I can't be more impressed by my very visit to Colony One Auto Center! I also noticed that about half of the customers (there were a lot) simply dropped off their vehicles and left after initiating a work order. There appeared a sense of trust and confidence in the shop.

They do okay job, but price is a bit steep. They wanted to charge me $80 for labor to drain and refill 2006 civic transmission fluid, I provide my own Honda OEM ATF. Charged me $350+ for replacing spark plugs, cleaning throttle body, and adding some fuel injector cleaner additive. They wanted to charge me some $40 to replace cabin air filter. Seriously? I replaced my own ATF. Bought a hydraulic jack for $40 from O'Reilly and did the job in 30 minutes. Cabin air filter? I did that in 2 minutes!

My clockspring had to be replaced to fix the horn and airbag signal issue. They fixed the horn, but the airbag light is still on. They said it had to do with the seatbelts sensor, but that seatbelts light works fine. They did half the job because they couldnt figure out how to fix the airbag which is totally related to replacing the clockspring. They are also overpriced. Their estimate was as high as the dealerships cost maybe a few dollars less! Need to follow up with them about the airbag light since this should have been fixed by replacing the clockspring.
