Needed a tire plugged because I picked up a screw. Several places told me it would be over 3 hours without an appointment. I spotted them and decided to stop in and they had me in and out in under 30 min. Definitely will return to them when I need a quick fix.

Went to starkey’s trying to fix a sentimental vehicle that really meant something to me due to losing a best friend. The front left tire was hit and pushed into drivers door. The lower control arm needed to be replaced because it was bent. They were super honest with me and only fixed what needed to be fixed. This car was hit and run on my street by a drunk driver and I let it sit on the street for a year before I tried to fix it. They showed a lot of Aloha and cared for my car like it was their own. Gave fair prices and I didn’t feel ripped off like I normally do at car places. I’m one of those girls that don’t know jack about cars and they could have overcharged if they wanted but that’s not their vibes. Super nice staff, very educated in cars. And they actually explain to you what they are doing to your car before doing the work. Zack was super sweet and wanted to ensure my car was safe to drive because I’m pregnant so that was super nice for him to go the extra mile with me and work to get my car fixed. He understood how much I valued this car and I needed that. Much aloha to Starkey’s Auto repair! I plan on servicing my cars there due to the amazing service and friendliness at this shop. I highly recommend traveling to them even if you live far.

Starkey's Auto Repair is amazing! I've been having intermittent car troubles that never got fully solved and everywhere was booked up. I went to Starkey's and the problem was fixed within the hour. They have amazing customer service and were extremely helpful and quick, which was important given my work schedule. This is definitely my new go-to auto shop!

Fast service and turn around. Prices were as to be expected for replacing most of an AC system. Their use of technology for communication and estimate approvals is a good feature. Bill is a great service manager with lots of general mechanic and automotive knowledge. I was able to pick up on Saturday since I couldn't make it by Friday cob. Definitely I recommend this place for having your vehicle in top, by the book shape.

I have been coming to Starkeys Auto Repair for quite some time now, 4+ years. I have had many issues with my Jeep and in that time and there has been no where else I would even consider bringing it in to to get looked at. From tire issues, engine issues, break issues galore they really have done it all. I am so thankful I started going here from the beginning! John, Bill, and Zack are always so welcoming, kind, and accommodating with me and whatever the issue is at hand. They will always make sure to have your vehicle and you in their best interests. Starkeys prices match up with quality of work that you simply just will not find anywhere else. They are simply the best!

From getting me in quick, to helping me diagnose my trucks problems…which turned out to be battery AND transmission related, to fully replacing everything and getting me out of there all within a few hours was beyond amazing. This auto repair shop is an amazing shop to choose when it comes to auto repair, but I will warn you that they can be on the pricey side of charging. They charge so much for good reason though, I went in for a tie rod repair after my old ones broke on me leaving me stranded in the middle of a shady road. They took my car in at the dead of night and had it fixed that Monday with no issues. I haven’t been back since my car hasn’t needed anything but I even get check up text from time to time just to be sure their work is holding up. That’s what I call good customer service.

The staff at Sharkey’s is so friendly. Randy helped me a lot. Kept me informed when they couldn’t get the parts , had to special order them. Once the parts were in , the work was done by the end of day. Randy even called the next day to see how the car was running, no auto shop ever done that. My experience with this shop was nothing short of amazing! Zack was my repair rep and he made sure I was constantly in the loop on my repair. They really went the extra mile to make sure I was taken care of during my repair and also ended up saving me at least a thousand dollars by getting to the actual root of the problem instead of just opening up the parts cannon and replacing everything on my dime like other shops might have done. I’m so grateful and will definitely be coming back with any and all of my auto repair problems and sending anyone I know. Thank you, Zack and everyone in the shop who worked on my car!!!! Probably the best auto shop experience I’ve ever had. Had a lot of unfortunate issues with my boyfriend’s car, and we took it in to fix those and get it road-worthy again. Every employee we encountered was friendly, knowledgable, extremely kind, patient and cooperative. Definitely got the vibe that these folks are NOT going to leave you high and dry with extra expenses, long wait times, or poor communication. “Mainlander/newcomer” friendly, they aren’t going to treat you like you’re stupid if you’re not aware of all the special rules and laws Hawaii has. We live on the North Shore but will gladly trek down here to see this shop for any repair/safety check need.

John the Owner is amazing! I’ve never met a more honest and transparent mechanic / salesman. As a woman it’s hard to trust places like this because I don’t really know what i’m doing but John has never been shady with me or tried to coarse me into doing a repair or add ons that I didn’t need or want. He greets us with Aloha each and every time we come by. He helped us fix our church van and now he’s fixing our personal car and we haven’t had any problems whatsoever after. Our Church’s van is 20 years old and you can only tell by looking at it. From John down to his workers - I can honestly say I feel comfortable coming here and I don’t have to worry about what they’re doing to my car unlike other places. Went for safety check. Wanted to do other repairs before giving me a safety check. Still had to pay for the safety check. Went to another place and they did the safety check with out doing other repairs. I think that they are make money doing other things before they will give you a safety check. Doing a safety check is a come on for their business
