Wow. That is how I can describe my experience at Chung's Alignment & Auto Services. I came across this business after I found my car failed its safety inspection due to some serious mechanical issues. My car needed immediate attention as a result, and to make matter worse, my car's safety inspection was good for the end of the month and the dealership said it would take at least a week for the parts to come in. Plus, the dealership gave me a hefty quote for all of the repairs they "recommended" to me. I was baffled, the quote came out to almost half of the car's value. Not only did Chung's took me in literally at the last minute, the shop owner, Chung Tu, wrote to me via email that the quote was quite high and he was skeptical that my car needed that many repair. He offered to take me in the next morning after my car failed its safety inspection, and he pointed out the mechanical issues and the severity for each one. We were able to hone in on the necessary fixes, which ended up slashing the quoted repair cost by 40%. On top of that, he threw in a 15% discount and he had my car readied by the end of that day. Outstanding service by Chung and his local business. I would happily recommend others to take their car to his shop if your car requires serious mechanical service. I guarantee you will not get ripped off. Your car and your wallet will thank you. Also, bring cash or a debit card. This business does not accept credit card (correct me if I'm wrong).

Awesome and excellent friendly service. always take his time to listen to customer detail about repair. And chung always provide with great advice and solutions. Pretty much DIY all maintenance for all my cars and small fixed. I've been coming to chung's mostly for wheel alignment and go to repairs, (if i could'nt do it my self.) today I had a slight brake issue on my van rear pads and chung recomended to just change it.(rotors and pads.) Quoted me with great resonable price for top quality rotors and pads that are made for my driving habit. since i do have slotted rotors on my minivan, I will be needed two tires soon. Chung's provide me again with very very reasonable great price on a XL not SL well known tire brand (Bf goodrich) I was impressed with his price compared to other shop on the island. FYI: Chung won't add any service that will cost you more on tires and repairs. If you needed some new tires alignment go to Chung's Alignment & Auto Services. You won't get dissapointed!

Had my alignment done today for my lifted Jeep Wrangler. Chung was gracious enough to let me watch him work and explain some of the things that was going on. He Was able to identify one minor issue not alignment related. He did the alignment with ease and with so much knowledge. Very personable. No issue doing alignment for lifted vehicle.

Straightforward, no frills place to get your car worked on. Recommend making an appt ahead of time. Discount if you’re a Costco member. Paid $200 for an alignment, oil change (synthetic) and my tires rotated. Don’t expect to wait in their office, pretty small and they got busy quick. We took a walk to Costco which was right around the corner. There’s also a chihuahua named Lucy.

I had my 2020 Metris aligned and was out in about 2 hours. Everything about Chung's was excellent and I'm now returning for some 30,000 mi maintenance tasks. I have only positive remarks to express here and will report any future actions contrary to my current opinion.

There has been multiple times where he helped me find a part, ordered it, and scheduled a convenient time for an appointment the very next day. I took my Honda Accord to Chung's for a wheel alignment and tire rotation because I noticed uneven wear on the front tires. Making an appointment was easy, drop off was easy and they had it done in the 90 minutes they estimated. They did exactly the work I asked for, they got the alignment spot on, and the price was a little less than I even expected. Chung and Mark are super nice, and honest guys. I am a semi-pro mechanic and have played with cars all my life, and in that time met a lot of honest mechanics and dishonest mechanics. Chung's is exactly what I always hope for: good, honest, friendly, talented service. Thanks guys!!!!

I took my Chevy Spark to them thinking it was the transmission but it was a MAF sensor and intake air duct… My car runs amazing now.. the only delay was waiting for the parts from the mainland. The service was fast and very good after they received the parts. I got a call to pick it up but I tested positive for Covid-19 this morning so instead of making me wait, the amazing assistant who lives close by offered to deliver it to me after closing. I would recommend this company over and over. Many Mahalos!!!

Chung and his guy fixed the alignment on my jeep in less than an hour. My doors were hard to open and close. They fixed that too without extra charge. Awesome people and yes like the reviews said Chung and his team are good at what they do. Glad I didn't go with Midas where I stopped by before Chung was opened. And they wanted me to leave the car for hours to diagnose and listed the possibility of what can go wrong with parts and so on. Definitely Chung will be the first place I will go to whenever my car gets sick.

They are very professional, knowledgeable, trustworthy, friendly and the prices here are very reasonable. Getting a quote if you know exactly what you need done and making an appointment was a simple and painless process. I like that they take pride in their work and they fully stand by their workmanship which is getting harder to find now days! The only bad thing I have to say about this place is the traffic in the area can make it hard to get to them quickly but that isn't their fault.

My 996 had been so off with the alignment. The car was drop, up grade suspension, tie rods, lower arms, control folks. Chung take his time and knowledge to bring it back to specks. Very appreciate his help. Definitely a good mechanic. He even refused the tips. Very affordable shop. Couldn't be happier.

Needed an alignment after putting a lift kit on my 4runner. They warned me ahead of time that it would trip one of the sensors that only the dealership could correct but I decided to go with them anyway. During the alignment I got to chat with Mr. Chung himself who explained what he was adjusting and gave me a printout so I could get the recon inspection taken care of. Before I brought in my 4runner the steering felt like it wanted to flop to one side or the other as I drove down the road. After I left the steering felt better than it ever did before. I was extremely happy I found a shop that can deal with the issues that come with installing a lift kit. This was the best service I have ever gotten at a shop. I would definitely recommend anyone needing an alignment to go to Chung's, especially if they just finished installing a lift kit.

He charges less than firestone does and last time I got an alignment at firestone they returned my car to me all cracked up after they "forgot to put the e-brake on". I'm not a resident of Hawaii yet I'm here frequently since I come here a lot and have a car here. I can say Chung and his staff are phenomenal. I always seem to have some sort of issue or think I have an issue with my car and I can usually be fitted in when I call in a panic. Chung is fair priced and honest as I am usually very hesitant about going into a mechanic and have fears about being ripped off, because I am female; but here I have nothing to worry about. He's told me things that I must change now and what needs to be done in approximate times to save myself money. He's even told me I can take photos and send them to my dad so I can run it by my dad to address my car problems since my dad knows a lot about car mechanics as well. I highly recommend Chung's to anyone who needs work done. I can tell you that they know me so well by confirming the car I have... And I've been coming here for a about a year and a half and I'm not even a local. Now that's service!

I was looking for a place to change oil quickly on a Saturday, 02/15/2020.. Called up a few shops. None would accept me. Called Chung's. Made appointment for 2 pm. Arrived early. He quickly took my van into the shop. 20 minutes later I was driving out a happy and satisfied customer. Will definitely return. One other thing I liked about this place; prices of all services are displayed on the wall. So you know what you are getting into.

I would recommend them without hesitation. I suggest they eliminate the online appointment system because they're too busy to respond to online requests. I’ve been taking my 97 Four Runner to Chung’s for several years. This is by far the best mechanic on Oahu. Honest, trustworthy, high integrity!! I got a quote for a job from GoodYear in Kapolei, that was vague and triple the amount Chungs charges. It’s worth the drive. You can trust these guys!! They have replaced brakes, bearings, rack and pinion, gear box, done alignments. Everything is always perfect! My 97 Four Runner runs like a new car because Chung is good at what he does and he cares about his customers. You get a five star job for a FAIR PRICE!

Got an oil change, tire rotation, and topping off fluids, here. Everything went smoothly. Prices were great, especially compared with all the price-gouging shops around the city. I'm OCD (literally) and called about 10 shops before confirming that Chung's was by far the lowest price. I asked for a conventional oil change (don't need full synthetic), and the oil they used was Napa synthetic blend (still made by Valvoline, I think), which is definitely a BIG step up from conventional oil. They were in a rush, so I did have to make sure they topped off the fluids, but once I asked, they popped open the hood and checked not only the fluids, but also any other past repairs and points of concern in the engine bay. Overall, definitely a 5-star experience.

Excellent service! They changed my synthetic oil. Then rotated my tires, inspected my brakes, and topped off my fluids for 84.00. Easy to find and they stay open later than everyone else. Got me in next day at 5pm
