My neighbor backed into my 2020 vehicle so State Farm gave me a list of auto body shops to choose from. I chose Action Auto Body because they had consistent and great reviews. I am sure glad I did. Chad was wonderful from the very first time he called me. These guys were communicative, honest, and just good people. They have gained a customer for life. I will recommend them without reservation to anyone! Thanks again guys!

While traveling from Oklahoma to Wisconsin to visit family my husband and I hit a deer that significantly damaged our 2021 Rav4. Our insurance recommended this body shop but we only agreed to take it based on the reviews. I am SO GLAD we stopped here. Chad and the ladies in the office (Lisa) were super helpful and informative. They took the time to look at our car and be sure we could get down the road since we were so far from home and they were booked up for 3 weeks on estimates. Chad (the owner) personally came out and secured the loose wreckage to ensure we could get to a body shop closer to our family. These aren’t your traditional before and after pics but Chad was like a surgical genius and did this is less than 30 minutes without charging us for his time!!! This body shop takes customer service seriously and I would trust them with any vehicle because of the level of concern they showed for our safety in spite of us not being able to leave our vehicle with them.

Picked it up and he went over everything they did and showed us the pictures from start to beginning. They handled everything with insurance to the rental car leaving all the stress off of me. Best auto body in the metro. I had my 2020 Ford F150 damaged by vermin. All scratched up on the hood and front. I went to Action because they get paid direct from State Farm. I had no idea how good the work would be and how satisfied I would be. My truck came out cleaner than it went in. No dirt or even dust from the shop. They went over the bill in detail. They even opened the hood to show where parts were replaced and repainted. They have a couple months' wait. I said I could bring it in anytime. When an unexpected opening came, I took it in a month early and had it back in just a few days. Overall, if I could give 10 stars I would. Prompt communication, excellent work, very transparent and direct pay to State Farm Insurance. The employees were very courteous from start to finish. And, they still take cash for the deductible.

I was recommended this place by my normal mechanic and have heard nothing but great things. Everyone was awesome to work with. A construction company backed a loader into my driver door. Getting in for a quote was simple and efficient. The Action Auto Body team was meticulous with the repair and handled everything from the start. The 4.9/5 rating is indicative of the service I received. This was my first-time having auto body work on my car from someone bumping into my front left bumper. Since businesses strive to increase profits, I felt an initial need to be vigilant so as to not get screwed. That being said, I wasn't too concerned since I was recommended by Ace Body & Motor, a car maint. shop I've been satisfied with. Initial scheduling was a bit rough as there was a lack of follow up, but communication got better over time. Ultimately, I was satisfied with the service. They removed any need for me to interact with insurance and even explained things insurance could take care of that the insurance representative never told me, ultimately getting me a better bang for my buck. Car felt like new, especially after the calibrated electronics, and the parts they fixed looked great! Would use again and recommend.

I don't know where to begin. We were driving from WI to AZ via I80. Just east of Des Moines, we were in the left lane and at least two vehicles in front of us his a semi tractor trailer tire in the road that also hit my van. It ruined the fender, the radiator, the compressor, and probably more I don't know about. My insurance provided a choice of two repair shops, I chose Action Auto Body, LLC. I spoke to Chad on the phone and he explained that he was booked up through the end of October, of which a person out of state does not want to hear. After I explained the situation, he took a look at it when it arrived at his location and he worked to squeeze it in between all the work he had going on. Also, since they had a hail storm the week prior, no rentals were available, we opted for a U-Haul Cargo Van since we were picking up some of my nephews stuff in AZ. Chad's wife Michelle took as to the nearest U-Haul to pick up a van, then the staff at Action Auto Body, LLC transferred all of our luggage from my van to the U-Haul. They really made us feel like family. Chad kept us up to date via emails to my phone and a week later, our van was fixed, we came back through Des Moines and again the staff transferred all of the luggage, etc. from the U-Haul to my van. It was the BEST EXPERIENCE EVER and would recommend Chad, Michelle and the staff at Action Auto Body, LLC to anyone in need of body work, repair work, etc. Later this year they will be getting a shipment of Wisconsin Cheese just to show our appreciation further. The customer service here is incredible. Chad is friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to answer any questions you have. When you bring your car in for a repair, he walks you through the entire process . He takes pictures of the damage and then he takes pictures of the progress as he’s doing the work. After the estimate was done, they were very professional when planning on when it would be ready. They were very helpful and friendly. I didn't know Chad was the owner. My experience here has been nothing but positive! I was rear ended by an uninsured driver only 3 days after getting my car. For anyone, this would be an extremely stressful situation. However, Chad and Michele some how made me feel less stressed. During my initial conversation with Michele, she told me how the uninsured driver may act towards me overtime and how to respond (or not to respond). Well she was spot on, as everything she said, the uninsured driver end up doing. Chad explained in great detail what was damaged and how my insurance would factor in. He was extremely understanding when I decided not to use my insurance and worked with me to figure out what should be fixed without spending too much. In the end, I got an great deal and my car came out better than I could of ever expected. Seriously, it was amazing! Chad and Michele were so genuine, kind, and honest throughout all of our conversations. I hope to never be in a collision again, but if I am, Action Auto Body would be my first and only choice!

Chad and The Action Auto Body Team are incredible! Chad answered my first call within 1 ring, and had my car in the same day of the accident for the estimate to be completed. Estimate was on a Monday afternoon. To allow for parts being received, I dropped of my vehicle following Monday, and I had my car back by Friday of the same week. Vehicle would have been returned even quicker, however there were some additional parts that needed to be ordered. This is totally understandable because not everything is visible until car is disassembled. Chad and his crew stayed late on Friday for the vehicle to be completed. During the process, Chad was extremely thorough, honest, professional, as well as his team! Highly recommend Action Auto Body! My car was returned looking brand new, and I could not be more thankful for the quick turn-around time! THANK YOU!!!

Action Auto Body, LLC was listed as one of the preferred service vendors for my insurance and they received great reviews so I decided to meet with them and get an estimate after my accident last month. My experience with the estimate process was all that I needed. I knew then that Chad and team were going to take great care of my car. Chad took time to walk me through every step of the process and answered all of the questions that I asked. I’ve never had to bring my car in to an auto body shop so I wasn’t sure what to expect but they made the entire process very easy for me to navigate. This was all happening at the same time as COVID-19 and their team took so many extra precautions to ensure that I would remain safe and that the entire team at the shop would as well. They were able to get me scheduled within a week of the estimate and provided updates throughout the entire process, including sending me pictures and invoices so that I would know what to expect. I was blown away when I was able to pick my car up and see what they had done. It looks better than new! These guys are very talented and everybody was very easy to work with.

My wife's vehicle had been key'd pretty badly down the driver and part of the passenger side. We chose Action Auto Body to do the repairs from a list of local auto body shops. Chad (the owner) is a great guy, very personable and respectful, someone you could tell takes pride in his business. We were able to get an appointment within a few weeks and when we arrived for our appointment we were greeted by Chad who then took a look at the vehicle and explained everything that would need to be done to repair the damage. Once the paperwork was finalized with our insurance we brought the vehicle in for repairs. Within 10 days the repairs were complete. My wife and I were amazed at the great job Chad and his team did. Chad Ogle completed a thorough, professional repair estimate and explained just how and why each step of the process is done, including sending the necessary photos, repair parts, and labor to the insurance company. Chad even took me inside the shop to show me exactly how they lay out the damaged parts that are to be repaired/painted and take a picture to share with the customer. In my case, a similar vehicle was having a similar repair being done the day I got my estimate. So Chad went through the whole process with me inside the shop. On the day I picked my vehicle up after the repairs, Chad again spent time going over the vehicle with me to be sure it met my approval. He pointed out some minor scratches that were not part of the repair and some door ding paint chips. While we agreed that they were not things that were caused while the car was in their care, Chad offered to have one of his employees use some rubbing compound on the scratches and touch up paint on a couple of minor paint chips. He even sent me home with a little bit more matching paint in case I saw anything else that needed to be touched up. I would definitely recommend Action Auto Body to my friend's!

My review is not about the business as I do not own a car. However my review is about the amazing family that works this wonder location. My cat likes to roam and wander and he has now become one of the neighbourhood cats. Someone had picked him up and posted him online and these wonderful people drove to Ankeney to pick up my boy because they knew where he belonged. The whole business treats him like he is their pet. He quickly and thoroughly assessed the damage to my 2016 Honda CRV (I’d side-swiped a telephone pole), and laid out various scenarios for repair. What was amazing was that he finished the rather detailed repair in one day. I was floored. He also had the car spotlessly cleaned inside and out, and the car really did look new when I picked it up. I will use Action Auto-body from now on, and I will recommend them to everyone I know. They are honest beyond measure, and one of the few Gold Class rated body shops in the Des Moines metro area.

This was the first time I have ever needed to have major repairs done on my vehicle. I had done some Googling to find the best local body shops and every time I looked Action Auto Body was always top of the list. Everyone at Action was so helpful and knowledgable about all the aspects of the process from the insurance to the repairs. They were able to help me whenever I had questions about the process. After my accident, I had set up a couple of different estimate appointments to get a feel for which body shop was right for me. Action Auto Body was my first appointment and I went with my dad and after the process, we walk out and he says I do not think we need to go to any other shops. He is not a man that easily impressed or won over. So I took my business to Action and I was so glad that I did. I got the car back looking brand new as if nothing had happened. When I was picking up the car Chad noticed some possible condensation on the inside of the headlamp and was very concerned that I monitor and let him know if there were any problems. That is because he and the staff are very concerned about getting the job done correctly and making sure the customer is happy. He told me if there were any problems bring it in and they would get it deal with the problem. I was very pleased with the service and repair I received and they have a customer for life!

Awesome to work with. I went in for an estimate on my Nissan truck and he took it apart, showed me what parts to order if I wanted to replace myself. He would have replaced, but saved me money by showing me how to replace the parts. He was very helpful and explained how to replace the parts.

The shop does excellent work, but even if the vehicle is totaled and not being repaired Chad will spend his time helping you get the best value for your vehicle. We took our truck there, to be fixed, but ended up being totaled. Our insurance company (Safeco/Liberty Mutual was low balling us on the value. Chad and Michelle helped us with the appeal process and showing the true value of the truck, resulting in the insurance company finally raising the value. Due to someone not securing a load, a large item was laying in my lane on I-80/35. It was dark out, the item was black and I didn't see it in time to miss it. So, our RAV4 got to visit Chad and the crew at Action Auto Body. Just got it back today and it looks show room new!! Chad called me multiple times throughout the process to keep me updated. They also emailed a ton of photos of the process. The photos were nice for me to see the process, but I think will be very valuable when it comes time to sell our RAV, so I can show what happened and how it was repaired. Action also worked directly with my insurer, so I did not have anything to deal with. These folks are VERY good at what they do and they genuinely care about you being happy and taken care of. The repair was done on time and looks perfect!! The entire car was washed and spotless when I picked it up. I can't recommend highly enough!!

Today, on the way to replace a bad tire, the tire failed. I pulled into a parking lot next to Action Auto on 2nd Avenue. I am 67 and diabetic. After struggling with changing the tire due to one of the cheap plastic lug caps breaking off, leaving the threaded part still around the lug, Chad, from Action Auto spotted me struggling. He came over with a hydraulic jack and tools. He jacked the car up, removed the lugs, put the spare on, and tightened the lugs. He was a godsend and refused my offer of any money for his efforts. Judging by his professionalism and his efforts to help a stranger out of a difficult situation, I would take my car to him in a heartbeat and I encourage anyone else in need of auto body repair to patronize his shop.

My car was hit in March and the amount of damage was about the same amount of miles I had on the car. $5000 worth of damage for a car that had 8000 miles driven. Action Autobody's owner Chad and all of his staff took GREAT care of me and I never had to worry about working with insurance. They took care of all the behind the scenes work and it was done quickly but more importantly, done the right way. It looks brand new and you would never know anyone hit it. Chad is extremely thorough and will go the extra mile for his customers. It was my first experience with an auto body shop and I couldn't recommend a better place to get your car fixed!

For those of you who don't want to simply take my word for it, here's the details of my relationship with Action Auto Body and the incredible steps they took to get my car back on the road, looking and working as good as brand new: I am from Colorado and was involved in an accident about an hour outside of Des Moines while traveling cross-country. It occurred on a Saturday and I needed to reach my destination for work on Monday. My car was un-drivable and towed to Action via my insurance. I got a call from Chad (the owner) regarding my vehicle on Tuesday of the following week describing the initial look of the damage and his plan for assessing the vehicle. Additionally he left me with his cell phone number and was always reachable via text or call, even after shop hours. Later that week, Chad called me again to give me the estimate and talk about how he would acquire the best parts available instead of scrounging junk yards for used parts or settling for cheaply made replacements. That's when I knew the team at Action could be trusted as they had my best interests in mind. The next week I had to return to Colorado, but the car wasn't close to being done, as some parts had not been delivered yet. I needed some things out of it to bring home, but would only be traveling through Des Moines on a Saturday, when the shop was closed. Chad was very amicable and friendly and worked out a way for someone to be there to give me access to the vehicle to get my things outside of operating hours; which is above and beyond the expectations one might have for any business that's closed. Later the next week, some of those parts that were delivered to the shop had minor issues with them, some broken, some dinged, etc. Unlike many shops who would simply deal with the less than ideal parts, Chad called me up and told me how he would be sending them back to exchange for brand new, unbroken parts and to apologize for the delay this would cause (though no fault of his own). Again, I feel that this goes above an beyond what most shops would do; Chad and his team care much more about customer service and ownership in their work than they do making a buck, taking shortcuts, or the easier/cheaper way out. In the next weeks, I had to travel again and needed the car to be done. Chad went out of his way to make this happen, overnighting a part and then having one of his staff members drive 3.5hrs to get it on a Saturday so the car could be finished by the time I arrived that evening. I flew in from Colorado and Chad picked me up from the airport that evening, again a testament to his outstanding customer service. All in all, the process took 4weeks to the day of the accident, sometimes that's just the nature of things. I don't believe that this was any fault of Action, sometimes with all the moving parts that go in to fixing a vehicle it just takes time to get a good job done right. Chad took this on himself though and went out of his way to repair a part of my vehicle that was damaged by hail which had chipped the paint, free of charge. Hopefully in this long (sorry) but thorough review you can see how you will be well taken care of at Action Auto Body. Chad and his team are incredible people, professionals throughout every interaction, and are committed to providing trustworthy repairs and quality customer service. However, I stopped by and left a message about getting my car repaired. I did get someone when I called again, but estimates are 2 weeks out. There was significant damage to the front and side of the car. Chad was obviously busy with all the work he has (i.e. a victim of his own success), but he took time with me, was meticulous in analyzing the damage, explained his findings and concerns, and was a class act all around. The car ended up being a total loss, but I was extremely impressed with Chad's professionalism and dedication. Apparently, I am not alone.
