I’ve been to Avalon several times before, and when my car showed up with a transmission issue, they were able to take it right away and look at it. They were very upfront about the possible outcomes and luckily, it only needed a new battery. So they were even able to do an oil change! We have two older BMWs. We've used Avalon for years now for both automobiles. We've always found the repairs and service to be first-rate. I have been referred by a friend to Avalon to do the work on my Audi A4. I''ve always nervous to take my car to a non-dealer for service. But when the dealer quoted me $900 to do a "standard" 2 year check up with fluids and filters, I knew that it was time to look for alternative. My call to Avalon was answered by Nathaniel who was about as nice and welcoming as anyone I've ever spoken to in conjunction with cars. I am hopeful that the service is as good as he is at customer intake.

I compared prices between Avalon and my local VW dealership and Avalon was much cheaper. The guys here are friendly, quick, and very transparent. I don’t take great care of my car and I really don’t know much about cars. They sent my a easy to read comprehensive report on the vehicle and called me to give a piece by piece break down of what they found and their recommendations. They gave it to me straight up, didn’t try to over sell me products but recommended what needed to be done to keep my car driving safe and running effectively. I had some questions after my visit and they were quick to respond and welcomed me to come back for a second look. After my experience with Avalon I won’t be visiting a dealer again, locally owned shops is the way to go. Nathanael and Peter offered great customer service. This place is professional, clean and easy to reach.

I first heard of Avalon through a Porsche group event hosted by the owner. I've since used Avalon for various service items on my 2003 911 Turbo over the past 8 years and have been pleased with their work and pricing. I recently purchased a 10 year old BMW X3 and used Avalon for installation of some performance parts. Pricing was reasonable and Nathanael was friendly and had good communication through the process. An added bonus beyond meeting my expectations for the install was that they thoroughly cleaned my entire engine bay from near-abandonment dirty! I look forward to using Avalon again if the need arises.

After recovering from the shock and dismay for $3500 AC evaporator repair, I can offer a comprehensive review. Keep in mind that historically I have used BMW of Denver for almost every repair in the past and is my only reference of comparison. Let's start with the convenience of simply dropping off the car early in the morning. Honestly, this serves up a dichotomy of emotions in the struggle between convenience and concern. If an M3 was any other car, I would probably care less, but leaving this little lady on Colfax Ave. does raise a few hairs on the back of my neck. In an age of haters and overabundance of homeless souls wandering about, it's only normal to have a smidgen of trepidation in leaving your girl vulnerable to unwanted advances. This never occurred and I am all certain that Avalon has security in place to capture any hijinks and react accordingly. Thus, I am happy to report that the only mention of outside assault was a cash offer to purchase her by a wanderer-by who affirmed that he and I had concluded the transaction earlier in the day. Avalon professionals were not convinced and sent the young man on his way. As for the extensive repair, I have no complaints and have been pushing the AC to the max and giving the M a thorough run-thru, flipping every knob on the dash to ensure the wipers were not turning on the radio, lights not adjusting the radio, and other oddities. In closing, the Avalon team performed well and I can offer only one area of improvement: ensure that the customer is not left wondering what stage a lengthy repair is in. Over-communicating puts customers at ease and reflects that a team is making steady progress. Thank you all!

In this day of roll the dice for car repair, Avalon stands out, not because they are a low-cost provider, but because they are honest and do excellent work. I'm not glowing over their prices because I think they are at the high end. I'm also not entirely on board with their policy of OEM parts only to fit into their warranty since high-quality alternatives exist to overpriced OEM parts. Still, they are straight shooters, and their work is impeccable. If you own German cars like us, you can't make a better choice.

Had my first non-dealer “scheduled maintenance” (5yr or 55k) inspection and oil change on my 2016 Audi A6 w 31k miles. These guys were very thorough and went line for line through the findings with me. No surprises, great info, good recommendations, decent price, kind and informed and professional demeanor, and a ride over to the shop at the end of the day to pick up the car. They said they would inspect to find issues, not just “do stuff because some book says it should happen” and the things they suggested were all fair and reasonable. They were very understanding and in agreement when I suggested I could change out the air and cabin filters myself for much less than they (or any service) would charge. All good on the CoVid protocol too. I’ll surely be going back for the next service, I definitely recommend you give these guys a call.

I was referred by Phil Carpenter who is the Operations Manager for Urban AutoCare to have my newly purchased vehicle checked out by Avalon Motorsports. Phil even set up the appointment for me. The shop and customer lounge area is very clean even though it is shut down due to Covid. I was able to drop off my car the evening before my appointment the next day and when my car finally was done, I received a phone call about recommendations for service/maintenance and the final cost. The price was the same as was quoted when I first dropped it off and there was absolutely no pressure to have the car serviced after the inspection. I received an e-mail and text message link that gave me all the information about my inspection. I even used that inspection information to go back to the dealership that sold me the car to tell them what needed to be fixed. The cost of the inspection was well worth the price in my opinion. I hope to be able to use Avalon for my general maintenance and even repair after my free service is used up by the dealer that sold me the car. I felt like Avalon was very honest; a good and fair price for the inspection and other services they offered. They even gave me two referrals for a window tinting shop and an auto body shop. I have already contacted the window shop and have an appointment. Avalon Motorsports: you have won yourself a customer and I am more than happy to pass along my recommendation of your business to other people I know with German cars!

Very happy with my recent experience at Avalon. This is my second time having work done. The first time was for repair, and this time for a performance upgrade. In both instances the time table, expectations, and pricing was clearly laid out and I didn't ever feel "out of the loop". The service waiting area is clean, comfortable, and stocked with coffee and snacks. They offer free rental services, and the process took about 15 minutes and was easy. The rental vehicles were also not your average economy options, including VW and Audi. Clearly you can tell Avalon is customer focused, and Tom is a top notch service adviser. I have to travel from Wyoming to "somewhere" that services Audis, and the closest dealership is over 3 hours away. Because I wanted some aftermarket tuning done to my car, the dealership was pretty much not an option for me. I'm pretty picky about where I take my car so I researched and shopped around for a good service center in Denver that could do some standard service work and some aftermarket tuning. I found Avalon Motorsports. They have a nice website with a lot of info and appeared to be what I was looking for. I read a lot of the reviews and they are mostly positive. So I took the plunge and I made the appointment with Avalon and drove the 6 hours to Denver to get the work I wanted done. I have to say, I'm thoroughly impressed with Avalon. Tom, Dustin and Keith were all excellent! They operate with a high degree of integrity and professionalism and that can be hard to find. They were honest with what work needed to be done, and what could wait. I had new tires put on the car, based on their feedback, and they unfortunately had a mishap with one of the rims and put a small nick in one of them. They could have easily just sent me on my way and not mentioned it, but they owned up to it and Tom showed me what happened and offered to fix the rim for me on my next trip to Denver. Along with tires, I had rear brakes, an oil change and an APR ECU Stage 1 tune done on my car. It took most of the day, but their client lounge was very nice and comfortable and it wasn't a bad place to hang out for most of the day. Their facility is clean and nice and the staff were all very professional and friendly. I'd put them on par with any of the Audi dealerships that I've taken my car to with the added bonus that these guys will do the aftermarket goodies as well. I'd recommend Avalon to anyone looking for a nice, honest, clean, comfortable, friendly and experienced service center that can do the regular service work right along with any performance or other aftermarket upgrades. The team was very responsive and professional. My only complaint is that they didn't inform me that the waiting room was closed and I brought my work laptop thinking I would work from there. Obviously this is not their fault, it's COVID's but would have been nice to know. I also wish that they had some sort of car wash service. Decided to go with Avalon after I was screwed over by a mobile mechanic abandoning the job with my n51 07 bmw 328xi. Towed the car in for a engine misfire diagnosis with the valve cover mostly removed with 3 missing bolts and had the expectation that I would be charged for two hours labor for reassembly on top of the $300 advanced diagnosis. When I picked my car up, I was quoted $2600 for a new valve cover because mine was not oem and eccentric shaft sensor because there was oil in the connection along with various bolts. The valve cover was not reassembled, nor was i charged for the two hours labor. Decided to do the work myself and the issue was not resolved. I feel like they didn't want to deal with someone else's mess and had they sourced the missing bolts and performed the reassembly, they may have caught the issue. There ended up being a plastic rod from a broken disa flap stuck in the intake valve that I discovered myself. The advanced diagnosis i received felt more like a surface level visual inspection. Had they not thrown away the lanyard attached to my keys, left a large scratch on my trunk and muddy handprints all over, I may have felt like I had a better experience. The staff was very welcoming and friendly however.

Was looking at purchasing a vehicle from out of state. To be safe I thought I'd get some eyes on it and do a PPI before having the vehicle shipped to me. Found Avalon motorsports and the entire experience was great. I called late afternoon and they started looking over the car the next morning. Every time I called they were incredibly nice and provided updates. I have never had a more thorough inspection done! What I received was a full write up and photos on the car that I had inspected, and a long phone call going over every line which ended up saving me thousands of dollars and a massive headache. Cannot recommend this place enough! And they certainly knew their stuff when it came to a performance BMW!

Honest and reasonably priced. They had an easy opportunity to rack up my bill, but were honest and informed me that it was an inexpensive sensor, not a pricey mechanical fault. I have two aging German cars and these guys now have all of my business. Only inconvenience (not their fault) is that it took a week and a half to get an appointment. I guess their popularity speaks to their quality though.

When I bought an Audi a few months ago, the previous owner took it to Avalon Motorsports. I was able to find out everything that was done on the car before I bought it which was a great relief! Brian and Phil have taken such great care of my car since then and made sure I understood everything that needed to be done moving forward. They were honest about what needed to get taken care of right away (safety concerns) and then those items that I could hold off on. They didn't try to push me on any service but wanted to truly make me satisfied with my experience. Most recently, I had to take my car in for service and needed a rental car. Finally! An automotive center who's patient, honest, fair and communicative! Truly one of the best experiences I've had. I got the pleasure of working with Brian the owner on a car purchase. He was so patient and kind with every question I had and quick to respond to both emails and phone calls. I live roughly 800 miles away and purchased a vehicle from him sight-unseen. I requested to have a third party mechanical done on the car and Brian was very helpful in delivering the car to the factory dealership and picking it up on my behalf. I have been a customer at Avalon for a while now and I would never take my Audi anywhere else! Avalon has great customer service from start to finish. I have been to other shops trying to find a better deal but I found that it’s not worth sacrificing quality of work and knowledge for a slightly cheaper price. The fact that they offer a 3 year/36000mi warranty on parts and labor is unheard of in this industry! I would much rather have Avalon's factory trained master technicians working on my car than anyone else. They even got me a free rental car while my Audi was getting pampered!

Prior to choosing Avalon Motorsports I had been a devotee to Porsche of Littleton because their level of service is unparalleled. At some point you have to wonder what you are paying for though, because their prices are truly outrageous. I selected Avalon Motorsports based on their other excellent reviews, and I was not let down. Everything was done perfectly, to my exacting specifications, and their work carries a longer warranty than Porsche of America. Importantly, the post service detail is incredible. Porsche of Littleton runs your car through a wash bay, Avalon detailed my interior for me. For free. My favorite part of the service was that I could pay by credit card prior to showing up so when I got there they just handed me my keys and I was on my way. I'm so excited to have an independent mechanic that I can trust this close to my house.

I recently relocated to Denver from Florida. I drive a three year old Audi Q5. Lately I noticed when I turn the car on a strange odor coming out of the air-conditioning vents until the car warmed up. To find out the probable cause, I went to Google. First, it could be the car needed freon or because of the high humidity in Florida, mildew could have formed on the cabin air filter. Because I had lived in Florida's hot and humid climate coupled with the fact the car is three years I felt low freon was the probable cause. Also, I just had the cabin filter changed about two months prior. Again, having just moved from Florida and not having established a car repair relationship; I Googled german car repair. Naturally, the local Audi dealerships were listed and any number of other repair shops. I called one of the Audi dealerships and was told the air-conditioning service would run $310. I then called Avalon and was told the service would cost $190. Obviously, I decided to go to Avalon and save $120. I took the car in at 9 a.m. and picked it up at 3 p.m. I was informed by the Service Writer the issue was that.mildew had formed on the cabin filter. They cleaned the filter with a germaicide and the problem was solved. The cost was $60. which was far less than I anticipated having to spend to correct the issue. I was impressed with the entire operation. I would highly recommend their services.

Just picked up my Tesla M3P from Avalon - they had not done coil overs on a Tesla before (and maybe never worked on a tesla before)....needed too inspect before committing to do the work (also did front control arm bushings and rear camber arms - all MPP Parts + initial alignment)....decided they could do it and got the car back in a total of 3 days (included a day to settle + 1/2 day due to my schedule). I'm pretty OCD, had printed install docs, added notes, wanted a diff height than the instructions recommended, gave them pucks to lift the car, asked for OEM parts back, etc They nailed everything I asked them to do perfectly! Car was well treated (seat cover, floor cover, etc), test drove it 2x's - guessing to check for weird NVH noises, get it to settle,... I still need to test, measure, let it settle and prob take back to reset height and check alignment..but that's normal and nothing they didnt do. Not the cheapest, but reasonable price and I was very happy with their professionalism, attention to detail and follow through! Excellent work! I feel confident enough to recommend them to MPP as a solid option for any of their customers looking for the same in the Colorado area! (not many choices for Teslas / aftermarket). Good job Avalon! Update: they sent the receipt - full details on their work, including > 20 pics (I did ask for pics when on the lift - and had forgotten, they did not)..very impressive!

Brian and his grew up front are wearing pressed collard shirts, the office is very clean , the lounge is large and fantastic, and anyone you see there will smile at you and say hello even if there just a technician . The Avalon grew cares so much about taking care of you, that I'm your sure you German vehicle is in the best hands. You will always feel like you are in the "loop" because the are very upfront and honest and will help you make educated decisions on the needed repairs. Then when the work starts they keep you up to date through out the repairs and finish when they said they would. they go as far a washing your car before you pick it up. Told I needed 4 new tires. Asked them to save the old tires so I could see why they said I needed 4 new tires. They offered a bunch of other services that sounded covered under warranty. Asked them to write down and give to me on pick up. Told them I would be out of town for 4 days and could they keep the car inside with snow coming. They said yes. Upon pick up. No old tires, did not have any of the info on what other services they recommended. Car was covered in snow. They left all the tire stuff from the trunk totally out in my trunk. Took me 40 min to get it back together. Also put an Avalon plastic around my back plate without asking. Not sure I will go back. Update to this review: Tom called me and apologized. Admitted to the mistakes and asked me to return with a promotion. I hope to return and give them a second chance. Updated star rating to 4.

The process took a full day (as it should) and the technician went over the car with a "fine tooth comb". This is what a PPI should be! Tried to get a quote for a 55K maintenance, front and rear brakes on a Q7. These are pretty canned items as far as the baseline (Q7s eat brakes), dealership gave me a quote in minutes, these guys wanted me to come in for a $42 brake assessment and a $95 inspection before they would tell me the costs. Based on the reviews I'm sure they do great work but I'm not willing to shel out $137 so they can provide a quote. Labor and parts for brakes should be easy "fronts are X on a Q7 and rears are Y, if its only pads and sensors then its blah". For a German shop to not have a menu rate for a 55K service baseline on a Q7 is absurd... UPDATE: Had a great followup call with Brian the owner. Seem like genuinely nice guys that have a consumer centric approach to car repairs. I'm a car guy, so their approach caused a complete divide by zero for me. Updated to 5 stars for the excellent follow up by Brian.

Avalon put in a stage 1 clutch in my 2012 GLI 6-M last December, which feels quite sold and engages smoothly; nice feature either a beefier clutch. uncertain if the new SPEC 16lb steel clutch been completely bled, and they promised to check this soon, however. BTW, the 29lb OEM clutch is a smooth but weak unit. Last week, they flashed an APR STAGE 1 93 octane tune on the ECU, which gives a nice mid-range punch, mostly in the RPMs one most needs it especially at 6,000 ft altitude, where we are down about 25% on atmospheric pressure! I’m now saving my &&& for thr cast APR downpipe, and required APR stage ll - at no additional cost - beyond the $1,300 for the pipe and install. Anyone want to help sponsor this upgrade? I’ll let you drive it😆

This place is the most amazing place to take your (German) car... from everything to the physical inside appearance to how friendly and knowledgeable everyone is to the quality of their work. I don't really trust any mechanics for the most part (beside theses guys) I would usually work on my car myself (unless its something big like my timing belt swap they did.) but now I love this place so much and everyone that works there I take it in for everything even as simple as an oil change... sure it may be a bit more expensive than other places or doing it myself (for my jetta, its around 100+ bucks for oil) compared to others which are like 20-50ish. and sure it may take a 30-45 min drive there... but all that, is worth it, all of it!!! at least give it a try

I test drove Audis for over two months, yet I never had a good feeling about purchasing a car from a random dealer. Then came along Brian Sump and Phil Carpenter at Avalon Motorsports. Avalon was selling a mint condition 2005 A4 Ultrasport with low miles at a stellar price. I was hesitant at first due to its age but after several conversations with Avalon's service manager, Phil Carpenter, I was convinced this vehicle was not only a great investment but it was mechanically sound too. Prior to purchasing the vehicle in October, Avalon replaced the coolant flange and temp sensor, oil pump, valve cover gasket, tie rods, and the timing chain tensioner. In addition, they performed a full transmission service, refinished the 18" wheels and upgraded the tires to low-profile Kumho all-seasons - not to mention an all-wheel alignment. After happily purchasing the vehicle, I drove it 1300+ miles from Denver to California with not a single problem or glitch along the way. Brian Sump and the guys at Avalon Motorsports provided top-notch customer service and I'd highly recommend them for purchasing a used vehicle or servicing your European motorsport. It's no question that Avalon is the preferred choice in Denver for German automotive excellence and I'd definitely purchase another vehicle from them in the future. Thanks fellas!
