Reviews of Pick-n-Pull
One of the best yards to get parts from the lower part of a car such as brake calipers, fuel pumps or brake gas lines since the cars are propped up on stands slightly off the ground and the lot is mostly clean gravel instead of the usual mud. For interior parts others may be desirable simply because you have to pay a dollar for admission to this yard. The inventory is good especially for 2000 to 2013 or so, yards including this one are not keeping as many 90s and 80s cars. However it does have some. The lot has a standard parts price list on its wall.
Nice junk yard.. unfortunately they don’t police the parking lot and people will steal parts off your car. Was there today and some one stole the cat off my exhaust. Have had radios stolen in the past. Pick n pull does not care and blames you for your stuff getting stolen. Police your parking lot, people at the junk yard can’t afford to fix problems caused by low life sub-humans. Beware if you go to this yard!
It is a great place to get used parts. But it would be nice if they were open when there are supposed to be. Drove 30 miles to get there on Saturday afternoon, got there at 4:15 and they were closed. When they were supposed to be open till 5. Very disappointing.
Always the best place in central Ohio to find what you need.convenient parts pricing and vehicle inventory online gained me as a loyal customer for life.
Too expensive for me employees was was ok what I got was $12,45
More expensive than Edison's junkyard
I could have gotten the same thing at Edison' for $ 5,00 but where I was at at the time pick and pull was closer
Have tons of cars, usually find about anything you need! Also you can purchase extended warranties! Awesome place!
Went in today for a few parts, prices were great and the staff were very nice and helpful. I ended up going in a few different times today and had a different cashier each time (which was everyone I saw up front) so their names are on the receipts: Mitchell, Glenn, and Johnie are awesome. Didn't see the guy I used to see in there a lot back when I needed parts more frequently (older guy, possibly Irish heritage) but every time he was there he was really nice too. 10/10 staff, 10/10 prices, 10/10 inventory (found parts in good shape that I thought I was going to have to order new online)
Years ago I picked up an El Camino for an incredible price from them that was in really good shape too, so it's definitely worth taking a look at their used cars as well. They probably won't be perfect, but if you're at Pick n Pull then they'll be something you can make very nice with a little work.
Good place for parts. Just have to pay extra fees on a lot of parts.
Very disappointed with this trip I came in a few days ago bought a complete bumper and but left a bracket for each although I already paid for the complete parts I was charged again smh I'll be looking else where
I must say choices are getting slim but I much more prefer picking & pulling my own parts. At 1/5 th the price of new doesn't hurt either. I've used pick-n-pull in many states for many years now and I have always had good fortune with their parts. Plus I've learned a good bit pulling apart a vehicle similar to the one I'm working on. Good place to get warranty parts and a mechanical education at the same time.
You need your mask to get in. After that it's pretty wide open. Staff are friendly and helpful. I've been there numerous times, always a good experience except for trying to get the part off you need lol. Lots of cars and parts you can choose from. I'm a do it yourself guy and saves lots of money I promise. I always go there when I cant find the parts I need
I called in advance to make sure they had a part that I needed for my newer Honda and not only did they have it and they had plenty vehicles to choose from to get it out of! They were super friendly and very helpful on the phone as well as in store and very polite. I was so thankful when they said they had this part I had called to a other junk yards closer to my area and none of them had this part! That's why from now on I'll be shopping at this Pick-n-Pull specifically because they have a wide variety to choose from and most likely have anything and everything you'll need for your vehicle old or new!!!
Thanks guys! 😁
This was my first time at any do it yourself parts removal.. I went on Saturday 4-3 and the gentleman at the entrance was very friendly and helpful. I told him my part and he gave me a list of several cars that were my car and others that had parts that were interchangeable with mine..the list had row number, year, make, model, color and there own numbers.. everything is very easy to spot and find..I saw people complain that it's muddy or dirty.. Your at a junk yard not the Hyatt what do you expect?? At check out another gentleman was just as friendly and helpful my I paid for my parts and went on my way.. everyone was kind helpful and accommodating i didn't know what to expect but this a bit of a surprise..I'll go to pick-n-pull first from now on..thank you pick-n-pull staff..
Wow. This was the second junkyard I went to and should have been the first. I went in, told them what part I needed and they gave me a printed list of vehicles in the lot that could have my part. All the cars are by listed by row. Extremely easy to find. Clean, graveled lot and the cars were on blocks. Friendly, fast service. Wish I could give it six stars.
Called and got a quote within minutes. They haven’t picked up the car but the lowball end of their quote was higher than I was expecting, and after a few minutes of back and forth it was doubled. Would recommend! Haven’t gotten a better quote yet.
UPDATE: It was a truly seamless process and the driver was super professional and let me ask him a bunch of questions about how his sweet af tow truck worked. A+. :]
Easy in and out! $1 to enter, staff gave me printouts for where my desired cars were located. COVID PROTECTION was active and i felt safe. I found extra parts for my car i forgot about. Picked up spare lamp I didn't know about! Happy to suggest for friends!
You check in and sign a wavier on a tablet. Then you wait to be called, pay your 1.00 and you are all set! I like to look up my vehicle online and it tells you were it is located. Nice set up and great prices.
Pretty dissapointed in this place today, have been a customer for years, never had an issue until today. Got off work and got here as fast as I could, because I really needed a starter for my work truck. Got to the door at 4:34 and they wouldn't let me in, the guy said they stop taking customers in at 4:30. Explained what I needed and why I needed in the yard, just needed to be in there for 5 minutes tops. I understand rules are rules, but they aren't posted anywhere. All the signs say open till 5. Wasted my time and the trip over there, and couldn't make it to a different yard by the time I left.
This place is a good source for the parts that I need. The prices are for the most part reasonable. They usually have a good selection of makes and models, as well. Perhaps the people rating w/ low stars have no business at a junkyard? I haven't had any issues over the years.
Had to pay just to look. Couldn't get do some of the cars because the water around them was ankle-deep. Couldn't give a price until you did the physical labor of pulling the part and bringing it to the office. That would be an awful lot of work only to find out the price is too much. A price range would have been better.
Today was good day at the yard. Good selection . Was able to get most parts on my list . Workers were very friendly. Alot better than in the past. Prices seemed to have went up though. My parts were about $80 more than expected . Beware of parking lot thief's . My car has been broken into, and a friend had his cat. converter cut off in lot. Parked only few spaces from food cart . Nobody saw anything ????
Pulling your own used parts saves money. Pretty big selection of cars that changes frequently so if they don't have a car you need today they might tomorrow. Offers cars for sale that can be rebuilt. All gravel lot, bring your own tools, wheel barrows available if you need a lot of parts. Half-price days are awesome.
We found everything we were looking for for our jetta, it was well organized and clean, every car was jacked up already which made it very easy. Great service and great price! We paid 12$ for a trunk latch! Love it!
The junkyard itself is pretty good. It's laid out nicely and has plenty of cars. I will say that most cars are pretty trashed and picked, which shouldn't be too surprising, but I mean some are really bad. I looked for some bucket seats, and every car's seats I looked at were pretty moldy and torn up. Aside from that, it's worth looking for a part you might really need. I saved 56 bucks on a wiper motor.
My biggest problem was the staff. They weren't helpful, and if anything, I would describe them as dull and completely unfriendly. It doesn't matter once you're out in the yard and away from the jerks, but even a couple minutes of contact with an employee is enough to nearly ruin the experience.
My advice is go ahead and go to Pick-n-Pull, but there's a chance you won't find your part; and most importantly ignore the staff's nasty attitudes. Just pay the entry fee and get away from them asap...
Well organized, helpful staffing, and good prices. Overall very pleased with the experience. Will definitely visit again. Practicing proper socially responsible COVID guidelines as well.
It's a pick-n-pull, the entry is $1 per person, bring your own tools and get wrenching... They have loaner wheel barrows and engine hoists, and occasionally they can help find the exact placement of your car.
Prices are fair, and the people watching is amazing.
I sold my old car to them and they made it so easy!! Everyone I spoke to was professional friendly and helpful. From the person who gave me a quote to the gentleman who came and picked up my car. I highly recommend them to anyone trying to get their old car off their hands!
Great place to go and get the parts you need. But some things are very over priced, getting them to pick a vehicle up is always a big pain, and almost everyone there is extremely rude and disrespectful. They are not people persons. If you don't like people don't have a job that interacts with them and stop and think that maybe your the idiot instead of the customers. I worked on cars professionally and they treat me like I'm a idiot and don't know what I'm talking about.
Never have anything your looking for anymore I understand them checking your toolbox but I have a toolbox that has trays were all your tools are fitted into all there own spaces and they can see that when you open the top but they still want to grab your tool box and open all the drawers if I was gonna steal something that small I would just put it in my pocket I wouldn't steal it anyway I have even took and paid for nuts and bolts they are ridiculous anymore next thing will be patting you down
I love the concept of recycling all of the vehicles that have been wrecked. It is pretty organized for the most part. The prices are listed but sometimes the wording of the part name is not consistent with industry / common names so be sure to ask for clarification at the beginning. Or you could spend 2 hours wrenching off a part, getting those rusted bolts to finally break free, haul it to the check out only to find it is twice as much as was listed on the sheet because the part name you looked at on check-in really was talking about the plastic shield for that part you pulled. 😂 Jokes on me I guess.
Great prices. Upon entering you have to sign in, they inform you of availability of vehicles you are looking for parts for. They give you aisle and description of vehicles you're looking for & other vehicles that interchange, based on the parts needed. Staff was very nice and helpful. I would definitely suggest this establishment to anyone pulling their own parts.
We went to pick up some parts for my truck. We told them what kind of vehicle they looked up and printed out a list of all the cars they had that matched and told us where they were. The price for parts was very good. I highly recommend this place for used parts.
Plenty of cars to choose from. Bring your tools, browse the inventory and take off what you need. Best place to get your used parts cheap. Pulled a part myself that cost me $15, brand new, $50. Nice deal. I highly recommend.
This is a great place for cheap used auto parts. They charge an admission fee of about 1 or 2 dollars. There is a part locater tool on the website but it is not always accurate. Most of the vehicles are elevated so it's usually pretty easy to pull most parts. They also have wheel barrows to help you carry your parts.
I love this place. It's a junkyard, so it's a little different and when is cold outside you're going to be cold, but you can come in and find a hard to find or otherwise expensive part and pull it yourself and BAM! you have yourself what you need for so little money. You're a treasure Hunter. The people are friendly and helpful. If you are a bit of a mechanic, this is a great place.
Auto graveyard. Take your tools pay $1 and pull the part you need. Lots of late model autos to choose from. Get ready to walk you have to locate your vehicle first.
All good except I cut my leg on some jagged piece of metal that flipped up as I walked up the main aisle to leave. Will most likely need a tetanus shot...or lose a limb.
Went here the other day to get a mirror for my car. I was really impressed..this place is organized. They print you out a receipt when you arrive before entering the yard. 1$ a person entering the yard. But back to the receipt.. The print you a receipt which tells you where everyone one of the line model of your car is. Ok now to where i became amazed. They have all there cars in rows and numbered. Now look at you receipt it will tell you where each like model is. So its so easy to find the cars you need. Very clean and easy to walk through . its as easy as walking through a parking lot..you can join a rewards club woth email and they offer deals and let you know. I would reccomend this junk yard to anyone. I was impressed. Oh and its not muddy ..they have a good amount of gravel down.
It's a salvage yard. What I'm getting at is inventory is sketchy sometimes things are listed there that aren't or vice versa. It's an unpaved lot so you will get dirty and if you're not careful you can get hurt or worse real quick, as the cars are set on the most stable platforms. All I visit often and I get what I need most times.
If you know what you're looking for, don't bother. the people don't know anything about cars or computers. They're nice though. Get in, get out and lie about what parts you have to make it cheaper. Super easy to dupe the cashiers.
Almost everything is cheaper than new stuff and if you're lucky you can get what you're looking for almost new for cheap. The service people are friendly. It is a place that old and used car's are dealt with so don't expect it to be very clean.
A good selection of cars to choose from, but people pulling parts from inside or outside of the vehicles usually destroy twice as many things in the removal process as they came for. It can be hard to find what you want because of this.
This junkyard is pretty nice. They accept returns for store credit. Cars are spaced out and there are many of them. Gets puddled in the rain. Prices average. Lots of vehicles.
Fantastic had all the parts I needed and I got it all for half price with their half-price sale some parts comes with a one-year warranty and yes I will return
Great prices! Cool people! You pull the parts. All vehicles in air on gravel!
The employees were helpful at the register. There is $1 non-refundable fee though. Also, they are well organised such that the parts you are looking for can be found on their website in detail.
Much cheaper than buying a new part.
Their yard can be a bit disorganized at times, but their parts interchange system will spit out a paper with the location of the vehicles you are looking for, even if 2 of the same vehicles are across the lot from each other.
$1 to get in, but well worth it. Lot has free wheelbarrow and engine lift use, and has a wash sink for when you get really down and dirty.
The vehicles are on stands, but be careful and always doublecheck to ensure safety.
Pick n pull has Always been a personal favorite of mine as far as scrapyards go. They have a wide selection of vehicles with good parts and they staff is always extra EXTRA helpful.
Hard to find what your looking for. Most of the cars are heavily picked through. But the prices are very reasonable
When called to see if they had a specific car year make and model and which part the guy had no idea what I was talking about and could only say you can come down and look. When I arrive the number of which rows the make models were in, werent completely accurate.
I have had no problems with pick n pull. Except one time where i went there for the second time getting the same part window crank arm and bar one time i was charged 12 then they told me next time to pay like 30 i explained to them this is the second one i have bought here and told them what i paid last time and there was no problem giving it to me for that price. Plus you know what junk yard can you go to where you can actually bring your wife and kid too cause not a mud bath. So yes can be more expensive then most junk yards. Also they have every thing organized by Categories. Which is great don't have to search 2 hard. I have not run across any one with a bad attitude yet but i could see where ya would get that from they like to rush people in and out. and as far as theft out side i have personaly not had any problems yet. Also yes you do have to drive through the ghetto to get there but there is a back way to if you want to avoid going through the ghetto.
Called ahead to be sure they had 3parts available. Paid $1. Each. Good clean walking no mud. But, did NoT have the parts I needed. Free user of wheelbarrow to haul part. NoT much good because they didn't have any of the parts I drove there for. Did buy a vehicle tho!
Couldn't drive that far to go home empty hsnded ☆
Got all the way on...HUGE selection of cars...caught the half of everything sale got a lot of really nice items for the Jag, Durango, Taurus and Honda for dirt cheap...will be going back wish they'd have to 50% off sale more often and get rid of the unprofessional broad/ staff. with they anounce over a loud speaker the time the place closes. The lady with the mic that was supposed to be announcing the amount of time left before the place was to close...kept laughing over the mic wad you couldn't understand what she was saying.
This is by far my most favorite junk yard to go to. I always have fun when I go here and I always get the parts I am looking for. Top notch staff and they always know what they are talking about where to find your part that you need in their yard.
They usually have a great selection of cars to take parts from.If they don't have the exact car/truck you are looking for, they will give you an interchange list of other vehicles to check
This place is pretty straight forward-
1) Pay $1 at front desk, if there's anyone asking for $1. If not, just go right on through. The people that they have there working seriously don't seem like they care either way half of the time.
2) Go and walk, with your tools, through the yard (probably around 10 or more acres) and get whatever part you can find. (the front desk will tell you if a vehicle matching the part you're looking for is there, even print you out receipt)
3) Come back through to front desk and pay for anything that you didn't stick in your pocket and is too large to conceal on your body (this is an unwritten rule). Do not try to stick a body panel in your big winter coat or a headlight assembly in your pants- they will bust you!
My only gripe is they they don't have opera playing on speakers surrounding the perimeter. that would help out a lot.
Great place to get used auto parts. Good prices on most things. They charge $1.00 to get into the salvage yard and from there they have a wide selection of makes & models of vehicles, which are updated daily.
It has a gravel base and the cars are off the ground.
Well organized. Was looking for a taillight. They gave me a list of compatible vehicles and the locations. The list had row, color and the identification they wrote on it. Made it so easy. I will definitely be going back.
Should setup computers to take from inventory as purchases happen. Wasted a trip bc they didn't have alternator they said they had.
This is a no hassle place even if they tell you that there is not a vehicle out there that subjected to have the part that you do need for your vehicle they never deter you from actually going back pain a little dollar and being able to walk around and see if there is something Universal that might fit your vehicle they do not pressure you into buying anyting they do take Parts back that they know for sure did not work due to something because of the car and sit down and they're junkyard for too long or maybe it's just a defect awesome people to work with highly suggest that you do not sell your car to a place like this though because in return they fix them and they selling for thousands of dollars
Most people who go to junkyard are gearheads and car junkies but within the last 2 weeks my 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix shifter cable went out and I found the same model in a 2004 Buick Regal within 15 minutes, and also found a multifunction switch and electrical connector, and headlight assembly fix up my friends 97 dodge Intrepid (2 trips totaled 1 hour 15 min).
The people behind the counter are at least somewhat helpful and nice, I went in thinking the turn signal assembly would be $12.99 and was surprised when the cahier rang up the assembly and a steering wheel cover for $8.63! Whoo hoo! They were able to easily hand someone a slip of paper with the location of the cars people were looking for, and really some of the people in the yard were really nice and some people asked for my advice and we were able to pop off a tire for them in 2 minutes. Be kind to your fellow pickers!
Most people who know their cars and have popped their hood in the last 2 weeks, would love to save massive amounts of money on car parts, but be weary of buying large parts like motors or trannys because the return policy is in-store credit only.
This place keeps getting worse. The cars are alway picked before they come to the yard so any good parts are gone they day they are listed to be on the lot. The cars are always filled with the broken trash parts from surrounding cars which makes it imposible to retrieve good interior parts if you could find a clean part. They are very rough with the cars they place. Most exterior parta are ruined by employees that have no buisness running the machinery. So if by the end of your trip you actually found your part and it was acceptable enough to pull you go to pay and realise the people you are paying are equiped to charge you more than you seen in the parts pricing sheet. It has always been this way but its geeting alot worse. Good thing there are new alternatives locally.
Neat place to go for parts no one else can get. You pay a dollar and get to walk around the lot with your tools. When you find the car you're looking for, take off what you need and take it to the front counter. They make it as easy as possible.
Great place to get car parts. There are a lot of options in cars and its only a dollar per entry. You will need your own tools but there is definitely a lot to pick from for a very reasonable price.
I paid a mechanic to fix my totaled vehicle late 2014. When I went to title my vehicle I realized he never gave me the receipts for the parts he bought from the junk yard. Almost a year later, the female manager went the distance for me to help find a receipt for some parts, and help me find a solution for the other parts. Though the process was exhaustive, she did everything within her power to help me title my vehicle I had spent so much money on.
I had to find a part for my truck I looked Through a few trucks and found what I needed the people who work here are very nice and helpful they told me right where to govt find the vehicle I was looking for even printed me off a paper that's has the info on the trucks. I will be back prices are Awesome especially if doing work yourself.
Great for odd parts for vehicles older than 2003
Had everything we needed. Reasonable priced. Great customer service. Called a head to make sure they had our vehicle available. Will use them again.
It can be a long wait at times, so the earlier the better. The staff is friendly enough. They are very efficient and they won't waste your time.
Good variety of cars, however they don't know what's on them. So you may find that 1999 car, however its alternator may be gone. Also, they charge a dollar to peruse the lot.
A great place to go pull your own salvage auto parts on the cheap. Highly recommended.
It's only a dollar to get in, staff is knowledgeable and prices are fair for most items. Some stuff is a tiny bit over priced for my liking but they gotta make money on some stuff so it's understandable.
By far this is my go to junk yard. Best deal to find parts for the DIY guys. The online search for vehicles in the yard is great. The on site parts cross reference is super useful. Just wish that was online as well.
Great place, always a good selection of vehicles. Sometimes the prices seem a little high, close to what you would pay on eBay, so always check their price list before you pull a part.
Facemasks are still required, even after statewide mandate has been lifted. He said "this aint the state of Ohio, this is Pick-n-Pull" I found that humorous. . . As I put my mask on
I drive old trucks so my only source for some parts is a junkyard. They always seem to have what I need. Great service.
Best junk parting experience ever! Lot was very clean and organized. They provided the exact location and i was in and our with an alternator in 35 min!
Show up, pay $1, pull your own parts and get out. Really all there is to it. I expect no more or no less.
No real complaints other than the truck selection is small.
Pick-n-Pull Groveport Road pretty decent place to get parts don't have to run around the mud all gravel good selection everything is usually where you can get to it satisfied with the way it is set up
Went in on a recommendation, they didn't have the part I wanted but printed out a list of pets that would work so I could take it somewhere else to find it. Great service and very friendly!
Pick-n-Pull has reimagined the old school wrecking yard, and it works. Tell them what you're looking for at the front counter, and they'll find that part by computer, then give you a printout of exactly where to find it in the vast yard. No more easter egg hunts, where you spend hours and still go home with no easter eggs. It's the only way to go - recommended.
Just saved a lot of money by finding some nice headlight bulbs and only spent 2 bucks.
Great place to find parts you tell them what you need and your vehicle type they print out a ticket that has the row number along with all the vehicle types with your parts.
Very friendly ppl. Very helpful! Great all around experience. Been there a dozen times or so and they keep getting new inventory everytime I go.
Very friendly and helpful. You have to be over 15 with a valid ID to get in. No one under 15 is allowed, but they do have a little area where you can sit with your child.
Like the way the junkyard set up. Can tell you exactly where each car is by inventory. Downside cost a dollar to get hit and you don't know if the part you need is actually on the vehicle or
Not a bad place to get parts specially used parts if you don't want to buy new prices are decent
What an awesome place. Bring your tools, pull your parts, and buy them dirt cheap. Not the cleanest place but like, your about to work on a car anyway so who cares?
This place was very helpful. Along with the website they will give you the location of every vehicle that matches what you are looking for. Prices are very reasonable.
This is a really good place to get small car parts. It's a pull it yourself yard so it can be hard to get engines and transmissions out.
Great prices 👍👌 if they don't got it I say nobody will.at THIER pricing. And THIER sales are great.i highly recommend them to find a part you need. …
Great place to look for parts. There is one lady there that has taken care of me and she is amazing. She is african american lady with an amazing personality.
Friendly staff and good prices. Knocking off ones start because the website inventory was inaccurate, but I was able to find the part on a similar model.
They have a huge selection of cars and trucks to get parts from. All the vehicles are up in the air on blocks which makes it very convenient. Very reasonable prices.
Has a nice selection of cars. The workers are friendly. If looking for truck parts, you should call ahead first.
A little rough around the edges when it comes to customer service, but clearly the best place for used parts at a reasonable price. Way to go.
Didn't have what I was looking for (my car rarely in junkyards) but the staff are nice & helpful.
Great place to find used parts. Check inventory online before going their. Some model vechiels are not collected in their inventory.
Great place large inventory lots of new models buck to get in price listed on line for every part.
Very good service. Quality parts. all and all great. Easy to take off the parts. And good prices.
Ok not OK no star rating ..They have no clue to any parts on the junk lot..was told come in we have the part..I went in paid a dollar went location that where my part was to be... Quests what no parts that I needed.
ASK FOR MY DOLLAR BACK NO REFUNDS..WHAT A SCAM
.
Pretty decent & organized & not just one huge mess like other junk yards that I've been in.
They have a good selection, open 7 days per week, and the staff is helpful.
Its a pretty nice place to go to especially if your in a bind and cant find your parts anywhere. But with that being said , your part needed may be slim
Got a Great deal on parts! ... Even though they said they had a wheel and after searching every vehicle on the lot, there wasn't a wheel in sight...
Not too bad for a scrap yard. 🙂 …
Great prices the yard is fairly clean and safe I would definitely recommend going there
Love this place its nice to have somewhere to get parts for ur vehicle vor super cheap
They had the parts I needed.
Friendly staff, cars set so it is easy to get parts off, decent location.
Cheap car parts but you have to watch for when they get the car you are looking for in. They are picked clean quickly.
I love this place, the parts are cheap, the staff is hilarious.
I am going to work here one day
Nice and organized, you can't always find what you're looking for but it doesn't take long to go through the place.
Got a great price on a used Honda Accord door, had 3 in the color I needed to pick from.
Best place to get parts. Fun it's like a therapy session, but only costs a buck!
Nice clean yard but was told they had what i needed on the phone drove an hour and nope no part
Had exactly what I needed at a fair price.
Charge a buck to search thru their yard but i found my part in a very organized yard.
