I am blown away at the service I got here. Alex is an angel on earth and really helped me out when I needed repairs done. He is so compassionate to your needs and he honestly cares to help you. This place does not nickel and dime you and will truly try to help you out. They never once took advantage of me being a woman like some mechanics do (in terms of overcharging). I got pictures and explanations of everything that needed done, why it needed done, and how important and fast it needed to be done. They worked around my husbands work schedule and honestly the most accommodating place I’ve ever been. They have a customer for life and I’ll be recommending them to everyone I know. Thanks Alex and team for taking care of us!

I've used this shop for years and they've always done great work. They do something most shops around here don't do, they send pictures and videos of the issues they find so you know for sure the repair is needed, which really adds some much needed peace of mind to the car repair experience. First of all, these are incredibly nice people. The technician and the lady at the front desk are super friendly. My alternator died on I26 on a Friday. I live about 2 hours away. Had to leave it all weekend and come back which is no fault of the shop. On Friday afternoon, I had it towed to the shop and told the tech that it was the alternator. He confirmed with a jump box and volt meter in about 2 mins. This is a good shop that does quality work. I was overcharged a little, but the Owner called me and fixed it before I even got home.

My car broke down right in front of the hotel we were staying at. Frank took my call and immediately sprung into action. A tow truck arrived about 15 min after our call. The next day my car was fixed and runs better than ever. They were truly a life saver and now my son has a car for the summer that is reliable. The best mechanic in SC!

HIGHLY ADVISE ANYONE TO GO CHECK THESE PEOPLE OUT THEY ARE TOP NOTCH. I'M A USED CAR DEALER AND PURCHASED A VEHICLE IN COLUMBIA SC. IT WOULD NOT PERFORM RIGHT. Had service done to my Nissan here, brought my own alternator and had a few issues with the electrical. But the alternator is working. The thing I’m upset about is that they forgot to put my oil dipstick back, so oil was spraying everywhere and the coolant was low, had to add a gallon to it. I just thought when you take stuff off you but it back. Double checking before you give it back would be smart. Update from my last review, they fixed there wrong and gave me my money back from the problem that they made. I can at least say that they are honest people and the handle themselves very professionally. A lot of shops would have not even cared.

I went to My Mechanic Auto Center because I noticed a small leak in differential fluid near where the driveshaft meets the differential. I informed the shop that I needed a new pinion seal. When I called, they had availability that morning and, I brought my vehicle over. Once I arrived, I was greeted by the owner who came out who wanted to talk about my vehicle and all the modifications. I mean, who doesn't like nitrous and mustangs. We walked inside the owner ordered the part and said he'll give me a call when they get it finished. They only had my vehicle for a couple of hours before I got the call that it was finished. When I came back to pay, I was surprised at how decent the pricing was for the repair. I would highly recommend going here. Good service and great pricing especially for the quality of the work.

These guys are the real deal! My truck had a bad belt, broken shock, water pump was out so it was overheating like crazy, and it had a bad oil leak.. other places were quoting me around $1,700 to fix.. these guys did all that work in such a quick time at a fraction of what it would’ve cost me! They will continue to get my business, and should be getting yours! Honest and reliable mechanics are hard to come by these days..

This is my second visit to this facility. Again I was very impressed with the knowledge, professionalism, and honesty. Jon went above and beyond to ensure that my car gets the best oil on the market. Brittany welcomes me with a warm smile. This time I just came in for an oil change. Jon and I discussed oil options and again I trusted his choice of car oil. I would highly recommend this shop. I was warmly greeted by Preston at the front desk and my vehicle was promptly taken to the service area for evaluation. John the mechanic explained the issues with my vehicle and George the manager presented me with my estimate. He being a man of honestly and integrity explained that the $700 repairs for my 2003 Saturn Vue would not be a wise investment. He elaborated that there would be issues in the future that would exceed the value of the vehicle. I understand sometimes a vehicle is just not worth extensive repairs. He created an alternate plan to keep my vehicle on the road for an extended period of time. I will be returning in the future for all my automotive needs. Also I must add that the waiting area is very comfortable and that the restroom is very clean and well stocked.

I highly recommend this place, and will be a loyal customer from now on. Our alternator died, so I called everywhere in the area and My Mechanic had the best price. That's initially why we took our car there for repairs, but I am so glad we did! The work was done quickly and well. They were able to fix my car the same day I dropped it off, and they kept me informed about the progress. They were friendly and professional, and explained everything to me since I know nothing about cars. They even offered to fix our lawn mower when my husband mentioned that it was broken!

I am a student at USC and not close to home, so when my brake pads and front rotors went bad it was kind of frustrating. I called several shops in Cola, and they all were going to charge to "determine what was wrong," though I already knew my initial issue. I was referred to George at My Mechanic Auto, and he was very nice and assuring. I took my car to the shop, and he performed a VERY thorough and helpful inspection. He told me everything that could need to be replaced but overall was very assuring in telling me the essentials I would need to keep the car running. He got my brakes and rotors changed out within an hour, and I am very satisfied with the service. More so, the office provided me with a great couch to do school work on while and episode of the Office played in the background. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating, and I would definitely return for any future service needs.

This is the best mechanic I've had. Wonderful customers service. These guys have the ability to multitask and manger multiple customer at as time. Although when I came in I was upset that I brought a lemon from a dealer and the engine went out the next, the owner of My Mechanic made me feel at ease and even offered me a ride home. This is not your average mechanic shop...... they have ac and refreshments for customer I would suggest this to anyone with car issues.

The best! I've been doing business with George for over 15 years. I drive 40 miles from my place to George's shop because he and his mechanics are the most competent mechanics there is. We have several cars. We have seven cars currently. All of our cars are serviced by George and his mechanics. George has his desk in the shop with the mechanics so that he has direct oversight of everything that goes on. He takes responsibility for all of it. That's a rare find. When we get our cars back from George they are always clean. We never have grease or dirt in our vehicles. George's prices cannot be beat. He is more than competitive in his pricing. That's why I always do all my business and my husband does all of his business with My Mechanic. Customers at My Mechanic are really treated as if they are friends.

One of the best mechanics I've ever dealt with. George went out of his way to help my wife and I with our Ford Escape. He was able to quickly diagnose and fix several issues early on a Saturday morning. All morning he was keeping us in the loop on what he found, the price I would pay, and how long it would take. I especially liked the fact that he is able to email an invoice directly to me while on the phone so we can walk through each item. He even helped us on his day off, and worked over time to make sure things were figured out with a malfunction for my husband's car. I had my car towed to My Mechanic yesterday afternoon and received a diagnosis the same day. Brittany at the front desk has been amazing at keeping me up to date with pricing and an estimated time when I will get my car back. She has even reached out to me on her free time, which is awesome! My car should be ready for pick up by Wednesday, which is earlier than expected since I have several issues needing to be fixed. Will update review after repairs. I don't always make time to write reviews, but George and his staff went above and beyond to bail me out of tough situation and allowed me to get on with my vacation. I was on my way from Charlotte to Jacksonville, FL when I noticed that my 2001 Honda Odyssey temperature gauge was much higher than normal. It was 6:30 AM so I googled Honda dealerships and called Midlands Honda since they were the closest. They kept me waiting over 3 hours only to tell me that the problem was a cooling fan switch and they couldn't get the part, even after market, until 4:00 the next day. I was skeptical so I called my mechanic in Charlotte and he told me there was no way that was the problem since the air generated by going 70 mpg was way more than the fan would produce. I called a few mechanic shops to see if anyone could see me immediately. I spoke to George and he agreed with my mechanic and said I could come right over. He was awesome. He hooked my car up to the diagnostic computer and figured out that it was just a temperature sensor. He had me back on the road in about an hour including waiting for the part. George also informed me that he could have gotten the fan switch easily if that was the problem. Totally honest and awesome. Thanks. Obviously, never go to Midlands Honda for service.

The rear of our car was noisy on the highway. I thought it was the bearings, and brought it here for a repair. They correctly diagnosed the problem as poorly aligned and worn tires. They replaced, balanced and aligned everything. Car is quiet now. The price was reasonable. I am glad they did not do what I asked, but rather came up with the correct (and less expensive) diagnosis. Same day service. Great local service.

I hate going to dealerships so I spent all week taking my Focus ST to shops around columbia to get a stuck o2 sensor out. I kept getting recommendations to this place and that place but no luck so I decided one more place then I was going to Ford. We called My Mechanic of West Columbia and with out hesitation they said they should be able to fix it. Its easy to get there, easy to find the lobby, and is just an overall clean shop, which I always appreciate. I didn’t get the names of the two guys that helped me but they were nice, professional, and knowledgeable. Once I dropped off my car, they had it done in an hour after getting the part! I had a great experience so as long as I’m able to drive, I’ll be going there.

I needed someone to work on my daughter's car and I know no one in Columbia. George was recommended by a local shop and they didn't let me down. George took care of both me and my daughter His quote was much more reasonable than other quotes I received. I received pictures of all the parts that were affected when the timing belt broke. The car was repaired and communication throughout the process was excellent which seems to be rare these days, especially when you are across state lines. Too bad George and My Mechanic Auto Center isn't where I'm at, he would have all of my business!

I called on a Friday evening to explain my problems and they were able to get me in to find and fix the problem first thing Saturday morning. BEST Auto Shop I have ever been to! I was traveling to South Carolina on business and my car started having major trouble on the way there. I dropped it off Monday afternoon and explained my situation, they offered me a ride to my hotel and said they would call me the next day. They called me with suggestions on all my options and gave exact prices for everything and said they would do everything they could to get me on the road Wednesday as I was supposed to head back home that morning. Their prices were actually better than what I expected as I was pretty sure what was wrong with it, they could have easily taken advantage of me being out of town but the price was extremely reasonable and they hurried to get it done without charging extra. They came and picked me up just as I was checking out of the hotel and the car got me home just fine, ran better than it has in years. I own an 02 Chevy trailblazer. Something went wrong as my fiance and I were driving it. Very thankful for this place to be opened on Saturday to begin with. I was very happy and pleased with that in general. The owner George was very thorough on what was wrong with my car. My coil pack was miss firing and my spark plug had also went bad. He called immediately and got my parts ordered. Also showed my fiance upcoming problems that could possibly go wrong and quoted us to get everything fixed. Needless to say I was very pleased with with the price and also the very detailed information on what is wrong and how him and his co workers are going to fix it. I am proud to say we have found our go to mechanic! By far the best mechanical place I've been to. Back in October, I was passing through Columbia on a Friday night and my truck's wheel started vibrating and grinding. Found George's shop on Google, saw that it was open on Sat, and went to drop off my truck. George was actually at the shop, working late, and he immediately put the truck up on the lift. He not only identified the problem, fixed it within a day, but also changed the oil and replaced a broken motor mount at the same time. Even though he was well aware that I wasn't local, he did a thorough once over of my truck and pointed out several other issues that I would want to take care of long term. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone in the are.

My wife and I were driving on the highway when our Hyundai Elantra’s engine misfired and smoke came out of the exhaust. Though they were closing in 30 minutes, Frank at My Mechanic ran some diagnostics on our car. He was courteous, professional, and explained the diagnostic codes and underlying issues. Turns out nothing major was wrong; Frank gave us excellent advice and got us underway within 15 minutes. I would highly recommend My Mechanic and be sure to ask for Frank!

Too often a mechanic fills vehicle owners with dread. On top of having to arrange transportation and the fear of the cost of repair, there exists a natural anxiety of what else they will inevitably find to add to the tally. (I didn't even know 1998 Mustangs had flux-capacitors?!) This is not the case with My Mechanic Auto Center. Their professional staff and owners work with a physician's skill and efficiency. This is the second time that I've had opportunity to utilize their services and am even more impressed. The speed at which they operate is only overshadowed by the reasonable pricing. In the past I've become acclimated by being shocked at the cost of repairs; again, I was shocked at the cost but for the fact that it was quite a bit lower than I had planned. Whether for preventative maintenance or crisis, My Mechanic is the only shop that I will use ever again! Thanks, guys!!

They came to my rescue twice while I was stranded with my mom in our mobility van. They went above and beyond to help us. They also fixed an issue with my van that 2 other shops could not fix after multiple attempts. The fact that they are willing to work on mobility vehicles is a plus and they are less expensive than other places. They stand behind their work and don't give up until they find and fix the problem.

I’ve been going to my mechanic for several years now for normal maintance and repair. Wait time is amazing always have gotten me in and out quickly for oil changes, and the price for one is great! With my most recent oil change George cranked the engine up after checking to make sure the oil light went off, and felt the car hesitating to crank. He asked me the last time I had my battery changed and I’m like mmm never lol. He then told me from the way it sounds and the hesitation you are going to need one soon. He then gave me a very reasonable price quote. A few days later I called up and talked to George to tell him to go ahead and order the battery. I kid you not! Not even two days after that I go to start my car up so I could go to work and it didn’t start. I had to retry several times and it barely started. I work night shift so I was terrified in the morning I would go to my car and it wouldn’t start at all. So that night my husband came and got my car from my work parking garage and George was kind enough to let my husband come in at 8pm for the battery change. This shop works with you and for you! Highly recommend!!

IF I COULD GIVE MORE THAN 5 STARS I WOULD! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! First time using My Mechanic and they did not disappoint! After realizing I was driving WITH NO TAIL LIGHTS 😱, I called and was able to drop my car off immediately. The entire process was easy from start to finish, and Jon and Preston contacted me frequently to report the progress. I have a 2008 Subaru (and apparently most mechanics won't work on them) with multiple issues. Jon is super knowledgeable & was great at explaining everything to me (I learned SOOOO much about car care from our convos!). After reviewing my lengthy estimate, we decided on what's best to get me rolling again, and I am super appreciative they aren't pushy about extra services - being a woman I have run into this elsewhere. They even offered to give me a ride if I didn't have one! And nothing is nicer than getting your car back detailed! Been taking our fleet (over 20 vehicles) to My Mechanic for just over 5 years now. They have always been fair and provided excellent service. There have been a few hiccups with so many vehicles but they always stepped up to the plate and made it right. We were pretty bummed when they closed. Glad to find out they are re-opening! We have several things we have been putting off fixing already lined up to take over there as soon as they get everything setup.

They were great! I had a timing belt go, and was Nervous of going anywhere but VW dealer. VWS quote seemed high, SO I called George and he saved the day. Did a great job and and the final price was way cheaper then VW quote, even with some other work as well! They even sent me pictures of some broken parts along the way! Highly recommend these guys.

Made a mistake of taking my 2011 Volvo S40 to the dealer to get routine maintenance done. They pretty much told me that my car wasn't even worth fixing and that the required work would cost more than the value of the car!
