First off, these guys are great! I didn't need to schedule an appointment, I came super early, and one of the owners, Richard, listened to everything I was worried about, replaced a cross threaded lug stud, swapped tires for me, balanced the tires and mounted them for me. He paid very good attention in making sure the lugnuts didn't get cross-threaded again, and while I waited for my car to be complete, I had a blast chatting with Kellie up front, thank you guys so much and keep up the great work!!!

HONEST AND REASONABLE PRICING!! I have used them for several services, and so far I am very pleased. It is hard to find an honest auto shop that does not want to price gouge. These people are very honest and fair. My plan is to always use them for my car needs.

Went in for an impromptu inspection and was in and out within an hour. The front desk lady was very kind and patient, considering I was scrambling to find my insurance card haha. Very knowledgeable staff, very friendly. I think I found my forever shop! Glad I stopped in.

I was referred to Chestnut by a friend about 2 years ago; since that time my truck has gone into this shop a dozen times at least for everything from routine maintenance (oil change, brakes, etc) to muffler/4WD/chassis/etc … just about everything that can and does happen to a work truck; speed and quality of service has always been first rate on every occasion and I have grown to trust the judgement and integrity of the owner and his wife implicitly. No fancy waiting rooms etc here, just a rock solid auto repair business that will get you in and out in a timely manner at a fair price. Five star shop.

Absolutely amazing experience beginning to end with these gentleman. I had several things wrong with my vehicle, I needed a break line fixed, oil changed, and all my tires balanced. After all that and some minor things my truck drives amazing. I drove to and from North Carolina a few days after the repairs and I'm beyond satisfied with the experience. Forever customer made.

LADIES! LOOKING FOR A TRUSTWORTHY MECHANIC? When the tow truck dropped off my vehicle for repair at Chestnut Street Auto Service, the owner and his right-hand assistant reassured me that they would do their best to get me back on the road that same day. I raised a dubious brow, "Today? But the other mechanics said it would take a FEW days." (The serpentine belt and tension pulleys broke). Well, true to their word, Chestnut Street Auto service not only fulfilled their word on the time frame, but also on the price range! Through the entire process, I was treated with the utmost kindness and respect. As a woman, that means a GREAT deal to me. This place had been suggested to me a few times in the past but because it was a bit far from me, I never went. Finally, I gave them a try. I can't believe how stupid I was for not going sooner! I will never go any where else. If you think you one thing wrong with your car and it is not or it is something else, they will tell you rather than doing what you thought was wrong and then fixing what was wrong. Their prices and excellent, the people working there are just the BEST and they do everything to make YOUR life easier by getting you car in and out, even with no appointment. Never go anywhere else!

I took my truck to Lahoda Brothers in North Charleston to be inspected. They gave me a LONG list of repairs totaling $2000. I then took it here for a 2nd opinion. It was also running rough. One coil had failed and that cylinder was not firing. The only thing they found on the inspection was a blown brake light. They even stayed late to replace the coil and gave me the option of getting my truck that day I will ALWAYS take my vehicle herefor repairs. They are honest and and very reasonably priced.
