They are simply the best! My whole family goes to them for a reason. They are incredibly kind, trustworthy and stand by their work! I went in for an inspection and had some unexpected work that needed to be done. They got the work done that day and the price was very reasonable for what the work was. It's very hard to find trust worthy mechanics, and Burlington Muffler and Brakes is one of the best! I really can't recommend them enough!

Wish I'd known about this place years ago. Had my exhaust pipe rust through and snap just after the catalytic converter, had another mechanic quote me $1200 to replace it. Brought it here, and they gave me the same quote for a full replacement, but also offered to get me back on the road for $170 by doing a short to medium-term repair of the existing pipe. Got me back on the road for dirt cheap so I could still drive while I decide what to do next with the car. 10/10, saved my bacon.

This is one of the most honest shops I have ever used. After another place in town gave me a quote of over $13k for repairs, the mechanic here was totally up front. He brought me out into the garage to show me the huge amount of rust on the frame of the vehicle and told me it wasn't worth doing anything to it. While I was bummed, I was blown away by the honesty. I have shared the story with colleagues at work and will be bringing my other vehicle in for work.

Two shops gave me quotes for an exhaust repair... $200 bucks and it would take them a day or two. BMB got me in right away and the damage? $60 bucks and done in an hour... was able to order Chinese (right next to their shop) and ate only a few bites before they were finished! Absolutely incredible service. This was my first time working with Burlington Muffler, and it was hands down the best automotive service and communication I’ve ever received. Midas quoted me the same price for fixing just my muffler that Burlington Muffler & Brake charged me for my muffler AND all 4 brake pads/rotors, inspection and sway bars. This is the best service garage I've ever used. They are very trustworthy and skilled, unlike many garages out there. They will never try to overcharge you or fix stuff that isn't necessary. They are often booked out though as they are busy so you have to plan in advance for servicing.

The pipe connecting one of the mufflers to the catalytic converter on my Subaru Outback rusted out and the muffler fell off. My regular mechanic said he would have to replace the whole thing and it would be over $600 and recommended I go to Burlington Muffler & Brake instead. They were able to weld in a new pipe and reattach the old muffler for under $200, and did it very quickly and with very professional and friendly service! They did a good repair and didn't try to sell me any fixes I didn't need, I will definitely be back next time I need exhaust work.

Excellent customer service! They didn't have an available appointment, but took my number, and then called me back when they had a cancellation the same day. I sat in the lobby and worked from their guest wifi. My state inspection was completed in about 30-45 minutes. Will definitely go back for other services based on my experience.

Had a custom exhaust made for my Saab. Ken quoted me 400 and the final bill was only 320. Never could have imagined my car would sound this amazing, and the prices are just ridiculously low. My family and I have been coming here since around 2008 or so. These folks are hard working, kind, and fair with their prices. I've never brought my car/truck in and left with an unreasonable bill. They have had the opportunity to do MORE work than was needed, but let me know it wasn't needed for another 70k miles. I appreciate that. It's only the work you need!

They go out of their way to do the job right and get the best outcome for the client. I brought in a trailer for inspection and even though it's a flat fee service that they don't control, they spent a lot of time including having to find a vehicle with the right controls to test the braking system. They are really great to work with, and I'll be back for sure!

Just called to ask a diagnostic question about a car they've never seen. I've already been to two different dealerships. They don't do diagnostics and he said he didn't want to fix something costly that may not be the problem. He gave me several other options to get diagnostics. I appreciated his time and will definitely be going there once I confirm the issue.

Finding Beauty In the Little Things

An honest place and crew here! Brought my car in because my exhaust was loud and droning. Ken (the owner) was very up front after looking at it, saying he wasn't sure if he could fix the problem, but that we could try a new resonator. I appreciate the honesty, instead of saying it would 100% fix the problem and just taking my money (like so many other places would do.) We only waited about 30 minutes, and voila! Problem fixed. I enjoy driving my car again. Thank you Ken for prompt and knowledgeable service!!! I will recommend this shop to anyone looking for quality service backed by honesty and reasonable prices.

Everyone other Muffler shop I called the other day was booked out a week. I called them the same day at 3:30pm and was told to bring it in now. Ken put it on the rack as soon as I arrived and showed me the problem. He told me he could do it today and he’d be done in a half hour as well as the cost. I was shocked as I had Midas replace pipes before. He was done in 30min and it saved me from having to rent a car for a week. I know where I’m going for future car issues! Called to get my car exhaust looked at. I knew going in that it had several holes and was in pretty rough shape. I was expecting a complete replacement. They gave me an estimate based off of what I explained to them on the phone and the actual price at the end was pretty darn close! The technician called me before starting any work and explained how he would go about fixing it and the exact cost of it. As a bonus they do state inspections, which I was due for. He didn’t run me through any hoops nor did he try to upsell me on unneeded work. It was done in just a few hours. I would highly recommend them to my friends/family.

Incredible Customer Service. I had a rattling heat shield and scheduled an appointment. I was in and out in 10min and they didn’t even want to charge me. The mechanic was nice enough to take me out back and show me the problem. I will most certainly come bake again for my car needs.

I was so happy to be turned on to Burlington Muffler & Brake. Great work and prices.. and better yet really friendly and very honest. When my exhaust pipe for my Nissan Xterra sheered off the muffler I was expecting $300 worth of work and they managed to sadder it back on for $60. Some garages would have gone for the pricey repair.

After receiving quotes for my exhaust manifold repairs from the dodge dealer and Noyes tire for between $1,350 and $1,500, I went to Burlington Muffler & Brake and received a quote for $350 and was told that only one of the manifolds needed replacing (whereas the other two places had said they both needed to be replaced). In the end, Burlington Muffler & Brake did the job for $380 in two hours (whereas the other places said it would be more in the 8-10 hour range) and my truck is now quiet and good to go! Very satisfied with Burlington Muffler & Brake and highly recommend them! Will be back in the future!

We started going to BMB when they were on Flynn Avenue in Burlington and still go to them with our daughters vehicle because our other 2 vehicles are still under warranty but if they weren't they would be servicing them as well. We have gone to them for a 2nd opinion on my husband's vehicle and they were spot on with what the problem was and the dealership didn't know what it was. They are the most honest group we have ever met and refer people to them all the time.

Ken runs a very fair business and goes a long way to resolve any car issues. He has a great team , shows you the problem in the car, gives a quote and only then proceeds to repair. Also does state inspection. Convenient location, maybe if they were open a little longer and on Saturday that would be golden!

Great staff. The young lady behind the counter was nice. Although se did seem alittle overwhelmed at times.very direct and to the point. But never rude at all. The young man who worked on my car brought me out to the shop to show me what my vehicle needed. The muffler was done and so was the flange pipe. $200 dollar repair.seemed fair to me. My only gripe though very minor. There is no television in the lounge area...thanks for reading.

I have read all of the previous posts and it appears out of all of these there are only two negative posts and the other are all glowing recommendations. I have nothing but great things to say about Burlington Muffler and Brake. When I was shopping for a used (older model) car for my daughter they would put the car up on the lift and check it out for me to see if there were any obvious problems or things that needed to be fixed and let me tell you, they saved my behind. In addition, when looking for this car several of the people we were looking at purchasing from asked where we were bringing the car to have it looked at and when I told them Burlington Muffler and Brake they had great things to say about this business (including one car dealership). I just had a car towed there this week and when the tow company asked where they were bringing it and told him BM&B he said, "I love those guys, they are great guys"! You can't make everyone happy all of the time but these guys sure do try!

My wife and I have been taking our cars to Burlington Muffler & Brake for over five years now. Not only is this a great local business that has done right by us for three of our cars, past and present, but hey run a quality establishment with courtesy, professionalism, and expertise. We have been to a number of other repair shops (including dealership shops) and have not had the confidence building experience that we've recieved from BM&B. I've even had one of the local chain shops refer us to BM&B instead of their own (thanks for that by the way, you saved us $900!). They don't throw upsells at you. They don't try to overcharge for parts. They provide a quality service that you can rely on and feel great about. I can say with confidence that if you want the best mechanics for your money, BM&B is it!

The mechanic is totally fantastic. I went in for a state inspection and was in and out the door in fifteen minutes with no fuss. I had failed a previous inspection due to some sketchy body work with costly estimates to fix it. This guy told me exactly what was wrong and what do do. No tricks, no upsells. The best.

Their motto "only the work you need" is true. They suggested things that could be done and explained alternatives so I could save money and simply do what needs to be done now. Very helpful and patiently answered many of my other questions. I will bring both my vehicles here from now on.

A great place! I drove to VT from NE to attend the British Invasion in Stowe with my MGB. About half way my muffler inlet pipe broke. After arrival, I did a search and because of the previous good reviews gave them a call. Talked to Steve and he said bring it in and they'd have a look. This morning he put it on a lift then came to me in the waiting room and said he could weld it back and it should last another year or so. Did not try to sell me another muffler, though he could have. Charged me $20. What a great result. He certainly deserved this and the previous good reviews.
